His work using music to heal and improve his own mindset led him to found his current company, MindTravel. MindTravel invites listeners to immerse themselves in his original piano compositions, either alone, with a group, or in nature, to learn to find peace in every moment and connect with the stillness and calm that help us see clearly, heal, and succeed. In this Tugboat Institute® talk, Murray shares his perspective on creativity, which is not a gift granted to a lucky few, but rather which lives in all of us. Following his short talk, Murray invites us to sit back and lose ourselves, for a short time, in music as he performs live on our stage. Listen and be inspired to connect with your own creativity and to seek and find peace as a source of strength.

Murray Hidary is a multi-disciplinary, creative visionary and tech pioneer who started his first company at 22 years old, after studying Music and Composition at NYU. Murray's success as an early Internet entrepreneur, starting in 1994, sprung from his innate sense that creating networks and platforms for connection amongst people could both elevate productivity and consciousness. Murray has studied theoretical physics extensively; trained in the study of Aikido and the Shakuhachi (the Japanese bamboo flute) and its ancient music tradition of the Zen monks with some of the greatest teachers. Murray is currently touring MindTravel, composing new work, hiking and meditating in beautiful places. In all areas, whether in business, or getting a coffee at the local Starbucks when they get your name wrong and make you wait twenty minutes or whatever it is, these are all opportunities for our emotions and our thoughts to get the better of us. Mindfulness allows me to have a non-personal approach in all these situations which allows for much less stress and much more calm and peace. Thoughts on Breathing I learned to breathe by playing the Japanese flute. What I didn't know was that there's a profound ability to improve your piano playing through proper breathing. You wouldn't think so because you're not generating the sound with your breath like a wind instrument, but it turns out, if you breathe properly, it comes through the music. They stole my bike one time but no physical harm was done. As a kid, mindfulness is a great tool because ultimately it's about how we interpret those moments. Mindfulness is a powerful tool that allows a child who has the skill, to frame the experience in a way that they understand that it's not about them. For the one doing the bullying, we know that bullying is done as a result of a deep insecurity. I sat with the amazing Murray Hidary of MindTravel.com to talk about his work. I think that his work is absolutely necessary. It is both healing and helpful, especially in today's world. And I think that you're really gonna enjoy hearing what he has to say in terms of melding mindfulness and music and creating miracles from experiences.
Like other addictions, sexual addiction, or hypersexuality, can be masking deeper issues such as anxiety, stress and depression. How we feel after a sexual experience is usually a good barometer for our intention leading up to it. Do we feel more connected or do we feel less connected, that hollow feeling that can ensue? Carol the Coach will be interviewing Murray Hidary who is a multi-diciplanary expert at helping people shift their ability to take responsibility and action for their lives. He has developed a tool he refers to as the MindTravel method which brings radical responsibility to any situation. Viewing an issue through the lens of radical responsibility involves bringing awareness to the behavior and its impacts on our lives and the lives of others, full acceptance of these realizations and then taking intentional action to remedy and move forward in a healthy way. Awareness. Acceptance. Action. The relationship with our sexuality is an ongoing journey as it is relational, in dynamic response to others and an external expression of our ever evolving inner state. It requires consistent awareness and attention; mindfulness. Through music, reflection and entering into a deep listening to what is going on within and around us the door opens to a life lived with more freedom, no longer at the mercy of our fears and wounds.

The onset of COVID-19 brought a lot of turmoil into our world, but that doesn’t automatically spell doom and gloom. All of humanity is facing a dark night of the soul, but there is a light at the end of this for those willing to look. The pandemic has forced most of us to confront our traumas head-on. While that’s enough to make any of us uncomfortable, it’s also the vital first step we need to take towards collective healing. What can we do to facilitate the healing process for ourselves and others? How can we use our newfound connectedness to create a better world for all who live in it? In this episode, tech pioneer, visual artist, and composer at MindTravel, Murray Hidary shares how to connect with ourselves, others, and the world around us. There’s something powerful about going through this trauma together. -Murray Hidary Three Takeaways How to make a difference in the world: No matter where our expertise lies, we all have a role to play in making the world a better place. Tap into individual talents to create something that is of service to others. Why we need to recondition our mindsets: We’ve been taught to believe that we go through life on our own, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Once we start believing we’re all in this together, there’s nothing we can’t achieve collectively. How to engage with others more effectively: Doing unto others as we’d have them do unto us is one thing, but we could take that a step further. We’re all connected more than we realize, so we should be treating people as an extension of ourselves. Guest Bio- Murray Hidary is a multi-disciplinary artist and tech pioneer. (2) This chat took place 5 minutes after Jordenelle (Jay) performed a Reiki Session on me - my very first. Reiki healers use universal energy to heal at an energetic, beyond physical inner level. We talk about the experience for both of us and Jay takes us to schoooool with spiritually healing convo. Jay and I talk about manifestation, visualizations, higher selves, healing stones, being an energetic self in a physical body, meditation, being 'one', plants, using earths' natural resources for healing, walking barefoot, and drinkin copper-water. We dive into the powers of control and conformity, we cover some antidotes to the fear plandemic and we stop by my own fears of seeing myself as an artist. In this talk, we offer an open door of possibility for those in search of ways to find the present moment, for those falling through the doors of spirituality, and for those looking for tips and tricks to combat depression and anxiety. Food becomes thoughts - we speak on the importance of the digestion system and self tummy care, as well as the "ingestion" of mental junk food (social media, news, negative inner/outer talk) We hit on unstructured movement, showing kindness, setting boundaries, the effects of social media habits on our self-image, loving your body, and dancing through your soul. (ask yourself, am I dancing from the center of my heart?) We talk about different forms of dancing, about art, creation, allowing yourself to 'just be', shifting your frequency, channeling, surrendering expectations, and using your paintbrush to create. I tell my story about experiencing Murray Hidary's "MindTravel" sound journey, we speak on Shamans and the role of healers in tribes, we talk about the importance of our words, learning from past experiences, judging and the healing journey. We talk about shifting in and out of friendships based on our own lives, about the importance of support in spirituality within partnerships, about twin flames, and sharing frequency through voice. Jay shifts mindsets. She's an inspiration to anyone itching to free themselves of the world's imposed restraints. She's fantastic energy, a bit witchy, always sweet, and full of knowledge. I genuinely feel happier when she's around. I'll bet she has that effect on most people. To catch up with Jordenelle - find her on instagram @celestial_gypsy_witch - Where she shares info about healing, books reiki sessions, and inspires people all over the world to become themselves. Notable Quotes from the episode - "Reminding that person (yourself at a younger age) that you are loved, you are worthy." "I deserve to be here. I want to be here. I love to be grounded. I am an artist. People enjoy my creations. My art matters. I am a good person. I allow my light to shine. I want to be here. I love having a physical vessel." "just forgive it, don't hold it, it's so heavy." "Do you even want everyone to be sexually attracted to you?"

This week's special guest is all the way from New York City and I'm so excited for you to hear the incredible messages of Murray Hidary - composer, adventurer, tech entrepreneur, photographer and mindfulness leader. He uses music, art and nature experiences to inspire others to deepen their mind-body connection. Murray's goal is to create the space for people to have a powerful journey, which is at once provocative and reflective, healing and transcendent. Murray's musical performances are a fusion of contemporary classical style, and contain a highly original expression of the avant garde, presented to audiences in concert halls, beaches, parks and beyond. For Murray, music communicates a profound coalescence of language and concept – a bridge connecting that which is hidden with that which is manifest. Learn how music can be used as a form of therapy to find clarity and calmness.Much like we need to go to the gym and eat well to maintain healthy bodies, we need to work on keeping our minds healthy through mindful practices. Because we’re living in a more fast-paced, secular society than ever before, we lack rituals that are focused on the mind and soul. But, by creating rituals that revolve around music, we can become more mindful and find clarity. Mindful musician Murray Hidary has created Mind Travel, live music performances -- often out in nature -- that allow listeners to shift their perception of time and get lost in a slow, contemplative state. The music is meant to relax listeners and create a sense of community. When concert goers listen to music together, their brain waves operate on the same frequency, bringing audience members together for a shared experience. Listen as Murray joins Dr. Holly Lucille to discuss mindful music.

Today's episode is all about mindset and intentions across athleticism, career, fitness, and wellness. You will hear from former podcast guests (on new topics) including top professional and elite athletes, Andia Winslow and Andrew Kalley, and entreprenurs and founders Murray Hidary and Louis Sagar and learn how they leveraged thier athletic mindset to empower them with the perseverence, focus, and dedication to succeed in their career, the strenth and flexibility to power through severe life illnesses and overcome family loss. From triathlon, golf and running to CBD, music, and meditation you will be inspired and motivated to get started on your next athletic or entreprenurial endeavor. This was the first Marni on the Move LIVE panel which took place at world renowned athletic complex and NYC gym, Chelsea Piers Fitness.Panel guests include:Professional Athlete-Golfer and Runner, Andia Winslow, who has been building her career as a successful on-air personality and voice over talent over the past several years, Andrew Kalley, an winning Elite Athlete, triathlon coach and personal trainer at Chelsea Piers Fitness with his own portfolio of clients at Kalley Fitness, Louis Sager, the CEO of The Alchemist's Kitchen , and Murray Hidary, piianist, entrepreneur, creator of MindTravel, a musical meditation and experience. It truly was a magical evening. We were on the deck outside, overlooking the Hudson. The event began with the panel, where listeners got to experience first-hand,, what it was like to be part of the podcast with digital wireless headsets almost as if they were in the room where it happens, thanks to Murray Hidary of MindTravel. Following the panel, Chelsea Piers Fitness talented and popular yoga teacher, Danielle Prager led a vinyasa style yoga class to the music of MindTravel and Murray continued to play trugh savasana into the night. While all of this sounds wonderful and amazing, the episode audio is a little rough at first. Like a true entrepreneur, I had a vision and took a big risk, my first time recording a live event at this venue and really set the barre high. We were outside, recording digitally, no wires, with some technical interference and signals and occasional helicopters in the background. My audio engineers are terrific. But it’s not the same as being in the studio so I wanted to prepare you for a few glitches here and there. However, it’s a really inspiring and empowering conversation and can maybe plant some seeds for you as we move into the New Year! EP48 The “MindTraveler” with Murray Hidary. Murray Hidary, the man that “plagiarizes nature”, is a trailblazing composer and pianist. He is the visionary mind behind MindTravel. I met Murray last year in a home in Los Angeles where he was about to share MindTravel to a small audience. Through this uninterrupted, one-hour musical experience, which he creates, composes and performs in the moment, I felt transported and moved emotionally and mentally in ways I have never experienced. Since then I have been using his MindTravel music as part of my meditation practice as a way to open my mind, to express myself through writing and to create open quiet space in my day. What impresses me about Murray is his wisdom, and the way he approaches music, creativity and living his life. It was a pleasure and an honor to sit down with Murray, someone who's courage, brilliance, talent and generosity I deeply admire. MindTravel is a musical journey that Murray created from his own core spiritual practice. While Murray grew up Jewish in Brooklyn, he felt called to seek and understand other cultures, philosophies and spiritual practices. Through his curiosity of Eastern Philosophical and Mystical ideas and his study of Western Classical Music, his own musical language was born. This practice encouraged him to explore his emotions and subconscious creating the space for things within him to come to the surface and be released via musical composition - MindTravel. “Murray has brought MindTravel to famed venues including Lincoln Center, The Theater at the Ace Hotel, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Grace Cathedral, The National Arts Club and festivals including Wanderlust, Carlsbad and Burning Man. He has also pioneered a live ‘silent' piano headphone Mind Travel creating an immersive music experience. Mind Travel has been brought to audiences in theaters, beaches and parks including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Denver, New Orleans, London, Montauk, New Jersey, Miami, Aspen, Oxford, Malibu, Istanbul, Tel Aviv, Germany, Italy and Croatia.” Murray and I discuss: His goal is to transport people through music; The bravery and experience of creating something new for the first time, every single time; Why great things only happen outside our comfort zone; Fear and the ways to step into and through it; Learning to relate to failure as an ally that supports our growth; Pushing boundaries physically and emotionally; The importance of having a coach or teacher when you are committed to improving or being your best; His vision of creating a life where no dream is left behind; The importance of making “space” for ourselves in each day and the magic that can be created in empty spaces.
