His boss then instructs him to take photos with the family to show that the company “cares.” Logan does, which upsets Becca.She gets over it fairly quickly when Logan returns to check on her. He offers to help update Woof Moon's website — web design is his real passion. They spend time together in the mountains and nearly kiss, until a kid shouts “EWWW!” from far away.Becca's brother-in-law eventually comes home safe — but then promptly goes back out to the rig to help a buddy. Because he's returning voluntarily, he won't be covered by insurance, and his family doesn't know. Logan does.Logan knows a lot more than he's letting on. His boss is pushing him to get the families of the remaining workers to sign paperwork that would essentially waive their rights.When Becca and her sister discover that Logan knew the truth, they're furious. But Logan has set up a radio system that allows them to communicate with the rig, so they reluctantly keep him around.They finally make contact, only to find that Becca's brother-in-law has his arm pinned under debris. Logan talks to him to keep him awake, and during the tense moment, he admits to Becca that he has feelings for her.Everything works out, the rescue is successful, and Becca and Logan finally kiss. Il commence par la création de la Sécurité sociale et du régime de retraite par répartition, à une époque où 5 actifs soutenaient un retraité (contre 1,7 aujourd'hui). Les décennies suivantes ont vu un élargissement progressif du socle, au-delà de la seule logique assurantielle. Quatre-vingts ans plus tard, la Sécurité sociale n'a pas perdu l'amour des Français, ni, à leurs yeux, son attribut le plus précieux : l'universalité. Près de 80 % la considèrent comme la meilleure au monde et 85 % jugent impératif de maintenir une couverture universelle, sans distinction de revenus, selon un sondage Ifop de mars 2025. Mais elle traverse aujourd'hui une nouvelle crise grave. Le déficit record de l'assurance-maladie prévu cette année - 23 milliards en 2025 (contre 17,2 milliards en 2024) - interroge sur la capacité du système à perdurer. Et la pression démographique menace de le faire dériver encore plus, tandis que le vieillissement démographique déséquilibre autant le système de santé que celui des retraites en déficit elles de 6,6 milliards d'euros pour cette année. Un vieillissement à prendre d'autant plus en compte que les dépenses de santé augmentent exponentiellement avec l'âge. D'après la Direction de la recherche, des études, de l'évaluation et des statistiques, en 2021, la dépense annuelle moyenne a été de 1.114 euros pour les moins de 20 ans, 1.632 euros pour les 21-40 ans, 2.717 euros pour les 41-60 ans, 4.498 euros pour les 61-70 ans, 6.291 euros pour les 71-80 ans et 8.529 euros pour les plus de 80 ans. De fait, les plus de 60 ans concentrent plus de 50 % de la dépense totale, alors qu'ils représentent 28 % de la population.Dans un rapport publié le 3 novembre, la Cour des comptes a mis en garde contre les effets budgétaires du vieillissement de la population et de la baisse de la natalité. « Premier poste de dépenses de la protection sociale, les pensions de vieillesse et de survie représentaient en effet 353 milliards d'euros en 2023, soit 13,4 % du PIB »,signale le rapport. La Cour souligne que le poids de la démographie sur les finances publiques va aller croissant, et invite à repenser « la vision collective » du vieillissement et de l'âge du départ à la retraite. Pour mémoire, au début des années 1980, la dette ne finançait qu'1 % de la dépense sociale ; elle en finance désormais 10 %.Mardi, à une courte majorité - 247 voix contre 234 (et 93 abstentions) - les députés ont validé le Projet de loi de financement de la sécurité sociale. Il prévoit notamment la suspension de la réforme des retraites, la hausse de la CSG sur les revenus du patrimoine et la hausse de 3 % des dépenses de santé. Résultat : malgré les concessions accordées aux oppositions, le déficit de la Sécurité sociale devrait rester sous les 20Mds€ en 2026. Après un passage par le Sénat, le texte devrait revenir au Palais-Bourbon mardi prochain pour un ultime vote.L'AFRIQUE : DE JUNTE EN JUNTEEn cinq ans, le Sahel a complètement changé. Les coups d'État militaires d'abord présentés comme des réponses temporaires à la crise sécuritaire, semblent installer durablement des régimes autoritaires. Au-delà du rejet commun de la présence française, ces nouveaux pouvoirs militaires peinent à formuler un véritable projet et surtout à endiguer une vague djihadiste de plus en plus meurtrière. La région est désormais secouée par des crises répétées qui ignorent les frontières nationales. Cette vague de coups d'État et de prises de pouvoir militaires a créé un paysage politique instable dans plusieurs régions. En novembre 2025, sept pays étaient dirigés par des juntes militaires, chacuneavec sa propre trajectoire, sa justification et ses tensions politiques propres.Au Mali, le retour à un régime militaire a commencé par deux coups d'État en moins d'un an, le premier en août 2020, suivi d'un autre en mai 2021. Le Burkina Faso a connu deux coups d'État militaires en 2022. L'ordre politique du Niger s'est effondré en juillet 2023. En mars 2025, la junte a adopté une charte de transition fixant un délai de cinq ans pour le retour à un régime constitutionnel. La Guinée a basculé dans un régime militaire en septembre 2021. La junte s'était initialement engagée à une transition structurée, mais le calendrier a été sans cesse repoussé. Au Soudan l'armée a pris le contrôle en octobre 2021, faisant dérailler un fragile accord de partage du pouvoir entre civils et militaires. En avril 2023, le pays a sombré dans une guerre civile brutale entre les forces armées soudanaises et les forces paramilitaires de soutien rapide. En octobre 2025, Madagascar a rejoint la liste des pays africains sous régime militaire. En Guinée-Bissau, le coup d'État qui a renversé le 26 novembre le président sortant Umaro Sissoco Embalo et suspendu les élections en cours est le dixième putsch en Afrique depuis 2020. Ce pays lusophone côtier d'Afrique de l'Ouest situé entre le Sénégal et la Guinée (Conakry), avait déjà connu quatre coups d'État et une kyrielle de tentatives de putsch depuis son indépendance du Portugal en 1974. La junte promet une transition d'un an. Les Bissau-Guinéens n'y croient plus vraiment. Dans un pays où chaque cycle électoral finit dans les casernes, la démocratie semble condamnée à ne jamais dépasser le stade de l'intention. Le Bénin, longtemps considéré comme une exception démocratique et qui n'avait plus connu de tels soubresauts depuis 1972, vient de rejoindre le club des pays touché par l'épidémie de putschs. Dimanche dernier, il s'en est fallu de peu que le pays ne rejoigne la longue liste des pays africains ayant connu un coup d'État militaire ces cinq dernières années.
