In this episode, Kyriba SVP of Product Solutions & Strategy Thomas Gavaghan describes the differences between a treasury management system (TMS) and the SaaS-based “liquidity performance platform” Kyriba offers and markets to today's corporate treasury teams.“Where Kyriba has evolved and is breaking out from the pack is in what we call liquidity performance—and it's far beyond cash,” he tells NeuGroup Insights editor Antony Michels. Liquidity, he says, goes beyond just banking data and encompasses an ecosystem of working capital information and market data requiring robust connectivity enabling systems to be more than “glorified spreadsheets or dashboards.”The goal, he adds, is to give “companies the ability not just to see what they have or don't have, but actually ‘action' what they need to do in relation to liquidity, specifically on the receivable and payables arms of their working capital. Being able to help customers operate the cash conversion cycle.”Sponsored by Kyriba

Listen to J.P. Vicente, Apollo's Global Head of Content Strategy for Client and Product Solutions and Alexander Wright, Partner and Global Wealth Strategist at the Firm, discuss the current state of the capital markets, including reading the Fed's tea leaves, asset allocation in 2024, and the growing deployment of alternatives in wealth portfolios.
Jason Singer is Partner and Global Lead for Product Development & Innovation in the Client and Product Solutions group at Apollo. Prior to joining in 2021, he worked at Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) for 22 years. At GSAM, he was Managing Director and Global Head of Product, leading the Public Capital Markets team within GSAM's retail client business. Our conversation starts with Jason's studies at Syracuse University, where he majored in finance and entrepeneurship and moves then to his early entry into the asset management industry at Goldman Sachs, where he cycled through nine different roles across the business in 22 years. We return then to his training and roots in entrepreneurship to link it to building client solutions, which is his current focus, and look at the craft involved in this. We also bring in the global perspective, given his recent trips to clients around the world. This brings us to the evolving role of alternatives in client portfolios, the increased awareness of income and its importance, and the future of the 60/40 portfolio. Staying on innovation, we look to the evolving nature of private wealth offerings, how the advisory world is shifting as client needs change, and the role that accessible and digestible education and training plays in this. . In the context of product launches and assessing client appetite Jason broaches the topic of where this fails, and what can be learned from maybe evolving too quickly. Delivered through a lens that embraces complexity and the challenge of pattern recognition, this is a master class in the art of building client solutions and its many facets.Series 1 of 2024 is supported by Apollo Global Management, a leading provider of alternative asset management and retirement services solutions. Apollo seeks to provide clients excess return at every point along the risk-reward spectrum and is focused on empowering retirees, building and financing stronger businesses and driving a more sustainable future.
Randel Bennett is founder and Principal Consultant at Qixent Insurance Services, turning insurance concepts into tangible, successful products by bridging gaps in pricing, underwriting, and coverage. Randel describes the common thread of insurance being highly regulated. Product managers are the "mini-CEO" of their state, which creates a product-centric approach and change is driven by regulation. The product manager has high knowledge of the minute details about their product. He talks about insurtech entering the scene and working with product managers to satisfy the requirements and also satisfy what the customer needs and wants as that changes. He says electronic paperwork is an example of the legacy insurance experience that is being changed with departments of insurance. During 2010-2020 the incumbents were still using paper, but in the past few years since Covid the acceleration towards digital finally found mass adoption. At Qixent Randel is taking insurance ideas to product and process. For example if agents and other incumbents already work with construction & contractors, Randel and his team help them delve deeper into the risk and offer new insurance products. He says solutions providers need to review their offering vs. existing profitability of that business and how it fits within the target customers' budget. Prior to forming Qixent, Randel was Vice President Strategic Partnerships at Swiss Re, co-founder at Sigo Siguros, and a product management leader at various insurance brands. Randel is a results-driven insurance industry professional with a proven track record in strategic partnerships, product development, and startup ventures. Randel resides in Chicago with his wife. When he is not evangelizing for insurance he is following sports, seeing a new museum exhibit, or planning for the next dinner he is cooking for friends. Joseph Star, business development manager for Product Solutions at ExxonMobil, based in London, UK, discusses the emerging field of liquid cooling, particularly in data centres, and the role of fluids in this space. He explains that the need for processing power and the rise of AI are driving the growth of data centers. Immersion fluids, including full immersion and other liquid cooling technologies, are gaining traction due to the increasing processing power and the need to dissipate more heat within the same space. Star's insights shed light on the evolving landscape of data centre cooling solutions and the role of immersion fluids in addressing the industry's growing demands for efficient and effective cooling technologies. His discussion provided valuable perspectives on the future of immersion fluids and their potential impact on the data centre industry's sustainability and operational efficiency. Star sees the development of immersion fluids in the future as a rapidly growing and evolving space with several key characteristics and challenges. Here are the key insights from the interview: Fluid Characteristics: Star emphasises the importance of dielectric properties in immersion fluids, as the fluid circulates around and goes through all components. He mentions that the majority of hydrocarbon-based fluids inherently possess this property. He also discusses the use of synthetic fluids, such as poly alpha olefins, which provide stability and a relatively high flashpoint, which is crucial for safety. Fluid Selection: Star highlights the significance of fluid viscosity, particularly in single-phase immersion cooling, where lower viscosity fluids are preferred as they require less energy to circulate through the system. He mentions that ExxonMobil has launched a broad portfolio of fluids to cater to different operational needs. Fluid Formulation and Lifespan: When discussing the composition of the finished product, Star mentions that the formulation is proprietary and involves considering material compatibility and the lifespan of the fluid. He expects the fluid to last around 10 years without the need for top-ups due to its single-phase nature. Technical Challenges: Star addresses technical challenges, including material compatibility, maintenance of equipment, and the need to develop and adjust immersion fluids based on the evolving needs of the industry. When asked about the future of immersion fluids, Star acknowledges the rapidly evolving nature of the space and the need to adapt to the changing needs of the industry. He mentions that the current portfolio of immersion fluids is just the beginning and that they will continue to develop and adjust their offerings based on industry requirements.

In the highly competitive nonprofit world, your organization needs a way to show that you're a high-performing charity in your sector. Similarly, it can be hard for donors to find nonprofits that align with their values. Charity Navigator stands as a unique solution for both. Charity Navigator is the nation's largest not-for-profit rating organization. For more than 20 years, the free website has rated charities based on their 990 tax form information. However, recent changes to the rating system are giving users a more holistic view of a charity and leveling the playing field for smaller nonprofits. In this episode, we're talking with Laura Andes, Chief Program Officer for Charity Navigator, about the changes. We're also joined by Amy Warren, Associate Vice President of Product Solutions at Pursuant and Allegiance Group.

Will Cantrell is the Director of Product Solutions at InteliChart, a SaaS-based service providing digital tools to providers and EHR partners. Their focus is on the workflows of staff and clinicians and the patient experience in a telehealth environment or in-person appointment. InteliChart integrates existing systems with innovative technology to facilitate scheduling, reduce clinician stress, encourage preventative care, and better manage chronic diseases. Will explains, "We focus more on workflows for staff to move in between patient visits, initiate sessions, put patients back in waiting rooms, move them between providers, and the patient experience is our primary focus. We can spend a lot of time building that in, not just to a telehealth workflow but into the entirety of the patient journey, and trying to bring that back to the patient portal, which is the hub of engagement for us. So, the patient gets more of a seamless experience through all their touch points." "You don't have to worry about travel time and shifting between rooms, so you have some savings there as well. The nice thing about telehealth, too, is if the patient queues up early into the waiting room, and you're early, you can grab that patient and start to have that visit with them early, at least from our dashboard. Once you go through that, you can move on to the next patient, who is early. So you have some room there to make gains and have advantages from a time savings over in-office visits." #InteliChart #PatientEngagement #Telehealth #Telemedicine #HealthIT #HealthOutcomes InteliChart.com Download the transcript here

Are you finding it difficult to navigate the complex web of finding a manufacturer that meets your business needs? One that can start small and grow with you? Because I know I did when I first started out! I remember when I was working on launching my first brand, back in 2007. Back then, it was so incredibly difficult to find a manufacturer – ANY manufacturer! Let alone one who was happy to start with us when we were small, but who could also scale with us as we grew. Boy was that learning curve extremely steep… I had to learn each step of the process – from design, to prototyping, to production, to quality control, to shipping and customs… Each had their own challenges. And I reckon I probably made every mistake in the book! If only I had today's guest Angela Halkiotis from Garment and Product Solutions to guide me through this process. Angela offers an end-to-end custom manufacturing solution, looking after clients who are just starting out all the way to bigger brands manufacturing at scale. Top athletes duke it out to outperform their opponents; usually only winning by a slim margin. That margin is what matters, and part of having a competitive edge means having high-value information on what your competitors are doing. Crayon offers competitive intelligence and product marketing to its customers, and Erica Jenkins, their Chief Product Officer, shares that doing this well requires great communication.Main TakeawaysData Insight Helps Create Magical Products: There are a million different problems and a million different software products that could help solve them, but resources are limited. Using data to help determine where the needs are greatest can help you as a product leader to guide your team towards the most profitable product solutions. You Need to Repeat Yourself: Some would say repeating yourself, even often, is necessary. Repetition helps other people remember important information and act correspondingly if acting is required. For Erica, rephrasing her ideas is a way to know if her message is being communicated correctly. You Need to Spell It Out: Don't assume that just because the product you've built looks shiny and seems intuitive, people will readily understand how to use it. Even if it is painstakingly user-friendly, it never hurts to spell things out. Take advantage of creating walk-through tutorials for your products. This is episode four of the Better Product Podcast. And I'm really excited about this podcast because we decided to try something a little bit different. We have an employee of Tapecon, a long-standing employee Dave Shoemaker joining us. And I'll just give a quick title intro for Dave and then Dave, I'll let you kinda introduce yourself on your own and tell us about yourself. But Dave Shoemaker, Senior Manufacturing and RND Engineer at Tapecon. He's been with us for a long time. Capital L or all capitals on the long so. Dave, I'll let you say the big number, but thanks for being on the podcast Dave and trying something new. Because up to this point, I've been interviewing some suppliers of our raw materials and I think this is gonna be an interesting episode because it's gonna bring a little bit more, I'd say internal perspective from Tapecon. So, I'll stop talking and just Dave tell us about yourself and your role at Tapecon.- Hello and thank you Steve. But one fun thing that I look at is every time I look out the front window, I was actually born right across Arizona. And that was in 1960. So I'm a long founding member of the area. So that's kind of a fun thing to play with. Anyways, it was 1983 when I started for Tapecon. We had, I believe it was 17 employees at the time. And my capabilities that I brought here was die-cutting. And I worked in the die-cutting department for about three years, but I always had a strong passion for all the capabilities that Tapecon had. And they'd had a lot, even at that time. And I think your father saw it as passion within me and before too long, I found myself dabbling in all the capabilities Tapecon had to offer. And as I learned, I became the go-to guy for new opportunities. I often find myself at a crossroads of the customer or prospect's needs and Tapecon's capabilities. It's my job to figure out how to combine suppliers, materials and Tapecon manufacturing processes to achieve the desired outcome.- You've been with us for such a long time and you've seen the evolution kinda through the organization of all the different capabilities coming in and out.

Thanks.- Thanks for joining me Bill on episode three, this should be an end up being episode three, and I'm so excited to have you on, and I'll just give you a quick intro and then I'll kind of let you take over and give yourself, you know, your own intro. Bill Sullivan, vice-president performance products at FLEXcon overseeing a business team performance products. I believe it's still called performance products, that is responsible for the development, marketing and commercialization of high performance adhesives, functional coatings, film castings, and the creation of functional micro structures, which I'm excited to hear more about. And recently correct me if I'm wrong, Bill, but board chairman of the Massachusetts MEP, which is the manufacturing extension partnership, I saw that press release. So that's what I have written down. And I guess I'll let you jump in, tell us about yourself, FLEXcon and I guess the functional technologies division.- Good. So thanks for having me. I really appreciate it. I consider this kind of an honor. I've known you for a few years now and certainly your entrepreneurial spirit and your willingness to try new things is exactly what technology startup community needs. So appreciate the opportunity. I've actually got an upgrade to my position, and I'm now the executive vice president of technology and business discovery. So you could see how the business team has evolved from when I first met you to where we are today. And it's all because of what you and I are passionate about, which is helping advance new technologies. So a little bit about FLEXcon. So FLEXcon is a graphics and label manufacturer films for those businesses. The division I manage is the functional technologies group, t

Andrew Bastian, Director of Product Management and Strategy, Technetics stopped by Getting Technetical to talk about Technetics’ PTFE product assortment and their capabilities. While Technetics offers a wide range of stock shapes of PTFE sheets, rods and tubes, they also customize these products to exact forms and thicknesses to meet customer specifications. “In some cases, we can create shapes that no one else can,” Bastian said. “We can make a cylinder longer than anyone I know of.” High quality is the premier consideration for Technetics in creating these PTFE products. “We work with all the major resin producers,” Bastian said. “And our working environment is controlled and clean.” Stocked with state-of-the-art automated equipment and manufactured utilizing a well-experienced staff, Technetics stands behind all of the products it produces. When it comes to etching sheets, Bastian said the key is to ensure the produced sheet is flat. A well-produced flat sheet will reduce the need for re-etching. Another element to a well-produced sheet is a low amount of color variation after etching. And, if assistance with picking the right PTFE product is needed, Bastian mentioned Technetics’ customer service team with their average 20-year industry experience. “They know the industry, and they know how to help you get you what you want, even if you don’t know what you want, yourself,” Bastian said.
