Everything you want to know about travelling to Pakistan! Get ready to be transported to one of the most beautiful and fascinating countries that is incredibly close to our hearts. Often lauded as one of adventure travel's best-kept secrets, Pakistan is also where Wild Frontiers was born over 25 years ago. Listen to our founder, Jonny, talk about his adventures in Pakistan, and visit to the valleys of the Kalash – the last of the pagan tribes to inhabit the Hindu Kush – where he was so taken with these warm and welcoming people that he stayed for three months and ended up setting up Wild Frontiers on their advice. Jonny speaks to Marc, our Director of Product and Operations, to discuss security in Pakistan and how we use our contacts and experience to ensure the safety of all of our visitors. As part of our 'Just Back From' series, Jonny interviews some of our travellers he joined in Pakistan last month at their stop in Hunza to find out why they wanted to visit Pakistan and their thoughts on their trip so far. He also speaks to Natasha, our Operations Manager who handles our tours to Pakistan and recently returned from a trip there, to discuss the practicalities of travelling to this culturally rich and diverse destination. Sue Becker shares some interesting facts about the Hunza people group. Located at the northern tip of Pakistan, the longevity of the Hunza people has spanned to 120 years. This is at least 30 years longer than most Americans. Studies show that this lifespan remained strong until modern food and conveniences were finally introduced in 1983. This introduction immediately lead to the Hunza's first cancer diagnosis in 1986 - a mere 3 years later. This week on our motorcycle podcast Liza is back, and she's got stories from Pakistan. Relda and Erin join the group to share their perspectives on this action packed trip, as riders with little to no dirt experience. This place is truly an adventure lovers moto paradise, where everything has a certain element of danger. The little 150cc bikes they ride don't seem like an obvious choice, considering the high altitudes, water crossing, death roads, bridges and off roading they do, but somehow these little bikes get the job done. Big thanks to all of our Patreon supporters who funded the bike donated to the Shimshall Girls Hostel in Hunza, 80 girls will now have the chance to experience the one thing all of us love: motorcycles. We highly recommend this experience, and you can find out more about it here: https://adifferentagenda.com/ With Liza, Stumpy John, Miss Emma, Relda, Brad, Marcus and Bagel. recyclemotorcyclegarage@gmail.com www.motorcyclesandmisfits.com www.patreon.com/motorcyclesandmisfits www.zazzle.com/store/recyclegarage www.youtube.com/channel/UC3wKZSP0J9FBGB79169ciew

Izhar Ali Hunzai from Hunza, Pakistan calls us and orders us to stop Dawah. He sounds extremely angry and frustrated at Islam."What you tell us about Islam? Shariah is nonsense." he screams at us. He says, "Don't tell us about Shirk. Let us do whatever we want.""Just like a car's tyre is changed, we will keep on changing Islam according to our imam (Aga Khan)," he shouts.Despite his senseless arguments, our Dawah team patiently listens and answers him. We pray that Izhar Ali Hunzai wakes up from sleep and starts seeing the Kufr of Agakhanism.Website: agakhanism.comYoutube: AgaKhanismOfficialTwitter: @AgaKhanismFacebook: AgaKhanismSupport the show (https://www.patreon.com/AgaKhanism)
The happiness of others fulfills the deepest need of the heart. Conscience develops with remorse, which is different than guilt. It involves the capacity to feel multiple contradictory things, conflicting parts of ourselves, at the same time. The “real war” is with sleep and unconsciousness and is about becoming a participant in life with one's whole heart and self. Music makes a communication that can bypass the mind. (Two Attila the Hunza songs are played during the interview.) There is “no magic pill” in spiritual work. Buffers are physical, emotional or mental tendencies that lessen or negate the impact of feeling one's true nature. To do deep spiritual work we need to love ourselves. Conscience is more than following moral prescriptions. A deeper sense of conscience comes from the recognition that we're not living the full potential of this life. Clelia is author of Stainless Heart: The Wisdom of Remorse and a freelance editor specializing in works of spiritual teachings, memoir, and self-development. She has been a longtime student of Lee Lozowick and a singer and performer in the band Attila the Hunza.

When you compare the American lifestyle to that of some of the world's "longevity hotspots" - Okinawa, Hunza, Symi, etc. - it's no surprise that we don't have the longevity and quality of life that they do. We live totally differently. On the other hand, it is weird because we spend more on healthcare than perhaps any country in the entire world. ??? Aaron is a Permaculture and Highschool Educator with an inspiring and eclectic story. Having worked as a mental health nurse for a decade, he found himself searching for answers for the people in his care. Who would've guessed the answers would be found in the deserts of Jordan, w/ Permaculture heavy hitter; Geoff Lawton. Additionally, through the now 18-year-old 'Living Classroom Project', Aaron and his colleagues are drawing students into engaging living and learning spaces by drawing them outdoors on true, tangental learning tours. In this fascinating conversation, we discuss the super healthy Hunza people, his experience helping to re-green the desert, the richness and "informality" of Project-Based Learning, his hand cultivated Permaculture demonstration site, Chad the chicken and Captain Planet. Rob Hopkins is a cofounder of Transition Town Totnes and Transition Network. The Transition Town movement is an international network of grassroots projects that aim to foster local ecological resilience and self-sufficiency. A movement that has been growing since 2005 in 50 countries, it is about communities stepping up to address the big challenges they face by starting local. By supporting individuals to transition both in and out and then come together, the movement seeks to crowd-source solutions to nurture a caring culture, one focused on supporting each other as groups or as wider communities. In practice, Transition Towns are reclaiming the economy, sparking entrepreneurship, re-imagining work, re-skilling themselves and weaving webs of connection and support. Neighbors come together to plant community gardens, transform local schools, install their own renewable energy plants, create their own local currencies, and more. The first Transition Town started in Totnes, England, in 2006, by Rob and friends. They kickstarted 'open space' meetings for the community to convene around the themes of peak oil, climate change, and the local solutions to these issues. The message of combining our head, hand and heart, of transforming both the inner and outer landscapes, of daring to imagine and embracing the uncertainty of never-ending stories, soon went viral across the world. In 2012, Rob was voted one of the Independent’s top 100 environmentalists and was on Nesta and the Observer’s list of Britain’s 50 New Radicals. Hopkins has also appeared on BBC Radio 4’s Four Thought and A Good Read, in the French film phenomenon Demain and its sequel Apres Demain, and has spoken at TEDGlobal and three TEDx events (TEDxExeter, TEDxTotnes, and TEDxMadrid). An Ashoka Fellow, Hopkins also holds a doctorate degree from the University of Plymouth and has received two honorary doctorates from the University of the West of England and the University of Namur. He is a keen gardener, a founder of New Lion Brewery in Totnes, and a director of Totnes Community Development Society, the group behind Atmos Totnes, an ambitious, community-led development project. He is the author of The Transition Handbook (2008), The Transition Companion (2011), and The Power of Just Doing Stuff (2013). In his most recent book, From What Is to What If (2019), Rob Hopkins asks why true creative, positive thinking is in decline, asserts that it’s more important now than ever, and suggests ways our communities can revive and reclaim it. He blogs at transtionnetwork.org and robhopkins.net, and tweets at @robintransition. Rob has long been someone who can sense what is possible is the air, and put himself out on a limb to do it. When he was 12, Rob and a few other friends started a sit-in protest against the divisive policies at his school. Three hundred students joined and the school policies were later revised. At 14, Rob became a vegetarian. At 20, he moved to Istituto Lama Tsong Khapa, a Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Tuscany, Italy. Rob served there for two and a half years as the House Manager. He recounted being “deeply moved by the practice of daily meditation, and the community’s focus on compassion, letting go of greed and egotism, ... and embracing the value of both inner and outer transformation through skillful means”. After Tuscany, Rob spent a year traveling in India, Pakistan, China, Tibet and Hong Kong. In India, he met Emma, who later became his partner and mother of their four children. In Pakistan, he found “a garden of bliss” in Hunza village, where people led self-sufficient, contented, healthy lives. An Australian friend who was traveling with him mentioned the word “permaculture”, and one fortuitous event after another, Rob became a student, a practitioner and later a teacher of this art of designing for sustainable living. In 1996, weary with the disconnection between theory and practice among Western practitioners of Buddhism, Rob and his young family moved to southwest Ireland, to West Cor, seeking to find “positive, practical and loving ways to help foster ‘an extraordinary renaissance— ‘economic, cultural, and spiritual’ throughout the industrialized world”. While setting up the first 2 year full-time permaculture course in the world, at Kinsale Further Education College, his and others’ families set up Baile Dulra Teoranta, a charity, with the intention of creating an ecovillage project called The Hollies on a farm near Castletown, Enniskeane. After close to 3 years, they were granted the first planning permission for an ecovillage development in Ireland. Being a vocal community organizer, Rob faced oppositions and setbacks throughout his life. In October 2004, Rob and Emma’s house was destroyed in an intentional fire. Rob continued to teach, helping his students to finalize the Kinsale Energy Descent Action Plan, which was later supported by the Kinsale Town Council. Rob was encouraged by this experiment to further step up in his ambition of “a massive-scale social transformation”, based on permaculture’s principles. In 2005, Rob and his family returned to England and began a new adventure with Transition Town Totnes. Rob now serves with Transition Network, grows food and reads stories for his family, makes lino prints in his spare time, all coupled with a deep sense of urgency and in service to others and our planet. Join us for a conversation with this thoughtful and enthusiastic community builder and trailblazer!

Today my guest is the wild and wonderful Emma O’Connor or Spiritual Ninja as she is affectionately known from her work in the London Ontario Community. Emma is the founder of Spiritual Ninja Love a program that might seem ahead of it’s time but in actuality it is so needed in the here and now. It is no wonder why her public speaking and programming are so in demand. I see Emma’s educational message for our youth as a return to having Elders who are not abandoned and are leaders who are committed to making sure younger generations have the tools to be resilient, body, mind, and soul. Some of the tools we talk about are the 10 day silent Vipassana meditation Emma practices and the Vision Quest Emma and I participated in together. It is an amazing episode where Emma shares her lived experience and how that taught her to navigate the tough stuff. She wants us all to know, that even though our pain may shape and test us, it does not have to define us. Her greatest passion is working with youth who are often overwhelmed by emotional, social, and other life pressures. Through her alter ego - Spiritual Ninja, she is on a mission to awaken the true power inside of youth through mentorship and mindful movement programs. If you feel called to support Emma and her work with local school boards please contact her or the show. Emma is offering a discount on her programming to listeners of the show. Please contact Emma direct through her website. Emma and I thank you very much. Enjoy the show! For the third time, I've joined Paul Chek at his home hidden away in the hilly backcountry of San Diego, California to interview him. And this time we take a deep deep dive into topics such as intuitive eating, consciousness, ego dissolution, education models such as Waldorf and unschooling and much more! Paul is an internationally-renowned expert in the fields of corrective and high-performance exercise kinesiology. For over twenty-five years, his unique, holistic approach to treatment and education has changed the lives of countless people worldwide – many of his clients, his students and their clients. By treating the body as a whole system and finding the root cause of a problem, Paul has been successful where traditional approaches have consistently failed. Paul is the founder of the C.H.E.K (Corrective Holistic Exercise Kinesiology) Institute, based in California, USA and the P~P~S Success Mastery Coaching Program. He is a sought-after presenter and has consulted for organizations such as the Chicago Bulls, Australia’s Canberra Raiders, New Zealand’s Auckland Blues, the US Air Force Academy and other elite organizations. He has produced over 60 DVDs and 17 advanced-level home study courses designed for the fitness and clinical professional. He is a strong believer in the essential role provided by practical training and has developed four Advanced Level Training programs to provide hands-on instruction for the exercise and health industries. Paul's CHEK Exercise Coach program introduces fitness and exercise professionals to an integrated approach to conditioning; the C.H.E.K Practitioner Program is a two to four year advanced level program teaching corrective exercise and high-performance conditioning; the Golf Performance Series focuses on functional conditioning for golfers; the Optimal Health and Fitness Through Practical Nutrition and Holistic Lifestyle Coaching Program contains three levels and shows how to reach optimal health from the inside out. Thousands of people worldwide have been trained in one or more of these challenging and elite level certification programs. Paul has also accrued three US patents for , and , and has also designed several pieces of functional exercise equipment. In this episode with Paul Chek, you'll hear: -Why Paul became an espresso aficionado..4:30 Paul and his wife at one time worked 18+ hrs a day; espresso was an effective way to stay engaged and productive Caregiver archetype Studying functional medicine, Paul found people who had blood sugar issues had coffee on an empty stomach Inflammation, hormone regulation issues Logic doesn't work to get people to kick a bad habit People have a deep emotional connection to coffee Came across some time release vitamins; saw word "chelated" on the bottle Saw a connection between chelation and coffee to help with above mentioned issues Began using organic butter, nut butters, was a fan out of the gate Encouraged people to put something in their coffee and eat a bit of food first thing in the morning -Intuitive eating and a discussion on what is "God"..10:40 Difference between intuition and instinct: Intuition is asking the totality of yourself a question and waiting for the answer Only "God" can give you the soul; the soul is "God" in you Ken Wilburn is known to be able to "stop" his brain () Book: Scientifically speaking, "God" can only be defined as "zero" Book: Book: "What we call spirits and angels is the flow of information and energy that is anthropomorphized" (human interpretation) Eternity, not infinity, is the zero point that we call "God" Intuitive eating: One empties their soul, then asks if a particular food is what they should eat that day. They'll receive the answer according to the energy they feel, positive or negative "Human beings will continue to invent technologies outside themselves until they've either destroyed the planet or they've come to the realization that everything they've created outside of themselves is a copy of a technology that exists within themselves." --Rudolf Steiner -An alternative view of human DNA..28:55 DNA is not a bunch of information like a computer; it's an antenna system that's tapping into morphogenic fields (proved that the aether does exist) Book: YouTube: (re: Paul's experience seeing photons in the sun) Book: YouTube series: -Soul connection and ego dissolution..42:40 Ego dissolution often occurs when people are in a deep crisis It cannot occur when we are constrained by religious or cultural standards Book: Book: Book: Set aside preconceived notions, and allow your soul to speak to your body YouTube video: A British medical officer found that the Hunza people were regular smokers and drinkers with no apparent ill effect on their longevity The psyche is more powerful than physiology 3-step process on learning to be guided at 3 levels: Diet logging Muscle testing () The body will not support a lie Addictions and unbelief inhibit honest biological feedback Listening to the soul The biggest challenge to soul connection is a connection of the ego You have to have legitimate spiritual courage Supplements muffle the signals of the soul -Paul's thoughts on educating children..1:11:15 Ground children into the realities of the real world (meet halfway on buying toys) Book: Education system designed to support the agricultural and industrial revolutions Book: Steiner invented biodynamic farming, which has proven to be superior to other methods of farming Minimum screen time, maximum engagement with the world and creative stimulants at a young age We have a choice on how to raise our children: either allow screens and teachers or we can be proactive and use those as tools while retaining our role as primary educators -The one question Paul Chek wishes he could answer but hasn't been asked..1:31:20 -And much more! I intervjun nämns bl a kolloidalt silver.

Are you Pakistani, or of Pakistani descent, and thinking about rediscovering your roots? Here's a great episode to get some ideas on where to go, and explaining why there's so much to see in this beautiful country. A few weeks ago, we did an episode on why EVERYONE should travel more! Today, our episode is focused more around traveling within Pakistan. Today's guest is Amber - find her blog at ambyzee.com or follow her on instagram at @thetraveluster. In recent years, tourism in Pakistan has rejuvenated and is arguably now more compelling to foreigners than ever before. 1.75 million tourists visited Pakistan in 2017 (according to the Pakistan Toursim & Development Corporation), up 300% from the previous year. Compare that to tourism in 2013, which, due to mostly security concerns, was less than a 3rd of that 1.75 million figure. Hello and welcome to episode 26 of My Big Idea, an Asos podcast giving young women advice and inspiration to start their own businesses. This week's host Nellie speaks with Georgiana Huddart, creative director of British fashion brand HunzaG. Originally born as Hunza in 1984 under the direction of Peter Meadows, the label enjoyed huge success with its signature, unique crinkle-stretch fabric. The Hunza dress became an iconic 80s piece, with Julia Roberts wearing it in Pretty Woman. 30 years on, creative director Georgiana Huddart has collaborated with Peter to re-launch the brand as HunzaG. Georgiana ensures all the pieces are still made in London, consistent with the brand's British roots. Georgiana made contact with Pete Meadows after a friend of his noticed her home made hunza dress at a party. ‘I searched for five years to find the fabric. I managed to get hold of 40 meters and made my own dress', told Georgiana. After sporting the vintage style, Georgiana was put in touch with Pete and the two...
There are five places on Earth where the people routinely live to over 120 years of age in good health with virtually no cancer or dental caries (decay of a bone or tooth), where they remain robust and strong and are also able to bear children even in old age, and the most famous of these, Hunza in the Himalayas, has people who live to 120-140 years old. There are also villages in France where the people are extremely healthy and other villages where the people are run-down. Much research has proven conclusively that the major common denominator of the healthy long-living people is their local water. Dr. Henri Coanda, the Romanian father of fluid dynamics and a Nobel Prize winner at 78 yrs old, spent six decades studying the Hunza water trying to determine what it was in this water that caused such beneficial effects for the body. He discovered that there were indeed anomalous properties to the Hunza water. It had a different freezing and boiling point than ordinary water, a different viscosity and a different surface tension. When he became too old to continue his research he entrusted it to the then young Dr. Patrick Flanagan. Dr. Flanagan worked for a further 30 years on the Hunza water sample trying to isolate and synthesize its properties. The reason that he had to work on the original 40 year old Hunza sample was that Hunza is no longer the pristine wilderness that it used to be, as now there are highways going there and man has brought in insecticides and other killers and the local water is not as pure as it was. Dr. Flanagan was eventually able to create the same anomalies in water but it wasn't stable. As soon as the water was shaken or stirred, it lost the properties - unlike the original Hunza water sample which still retained its qualities even when shaken. Have you ever noticed taking vitamins or other supplements and not really getting much effect? This is a sign that those supplements are not getting fully absorbed by the body. As an example, when you take 1,000 mg of Vitamin C, the body usually only gets about 300 mg and eliminates 700 mg through the intestines. Patrick Flanagan took his process further and was able to dry the nano-colloids into a powder (called Ultimate Mega H-) that could be combined with other supplements and when this is done, their absorbability increases by about 300%. In the example above, the body gets the full use of all 1,000 mg of Vitamin C. Ultimate Mega H-™ Each week Martin Pytela and Scott Paton discuss Holistic principles for healthy living.
