Don't you wish that there were some things that you would have known before you said ‘I Do?”. We are often so head over heels in love, that we ignore the obvious red flags that are right before our eyes. As we journey along in marriage, there are a lot of mistakes that we make. Some lead to divorce and some make our marriages stronger. Singles, this may help you as well in your journey towards marriage. Be blessed and feel free to share.

“There's no shame in seeking support, understanding that you don't have to carry the work weight of the world on your shoulders. You're not alone… But it's a matter of you being courageous enough to reach out.” -Coach Michael Taylor Toxic masculinity is a term used to describe the way in which men are taught to act in society, and how that can affect their lives. In a society that tells men they're the "breadwinners," and that they should be able to handle everything on their own, it's no wonder so many men are struggling. Although this mentality has been deeply engraved in our society, we can still change it with three simple words: "I Need Help." And while this phrase may sometimes feel like it's just an empty way to say you're vulnerable and want another person to take care of things for you, there's actually a lot more to it than that. "I need help" means that we recognize that something has come up in our life that is bigger than we are—and it also means that we know what it feels like to be overwhelmed by something. In this episode, I interview Coach Michael Taylor on how powerful these three words can be in transforming men's lives. We also discuss the five illusions of manhood from Michael's book, A New Conversation with Men, and how to shift these illusions to what's real. Tune in and see masculinity from a new perspective!

What happens when someone has the courage to admit "I need help" or "I have a problem"? Incredible change is possible. In the Bible, we see the story of what happens when a courageous young woman admits her need for help and redemption. In this message, Pastor Scott Savage shares about what redemption looks like for a woman named Ruth and for each of us today.

Every day leading up to Christmas we will be reading, studying, and reflecting on a chapter of the Gospel of Luke. There are twenty-four days leading up to Christmas and twenty-four Chapters in Luke. We are going to enter the celebration of the birth of Jesus with a full context of his life and ministry. My hope and prayer for each of us is that we fully experience a closeness to Jesus like never before. Luke 6 shows us so much that we can learn from Jesus including the importance of prayer in critical moments, loving our enemies and how we should view ourselves and others. This is the VERSED podcast; a daily pursuit to become more perceptive to what the Bible says. The devil cannot make you sin. But what he will do is study your game film. He knows your tendencies like the back of his hand. He knows your distinctive weaknesses. He knows how to appeal to your evil desires so that you'll be drawn away into sin. Sin that leads to death and separation from God. When we sin, we break that fellowship with God. Today we are reading from the book of James and answering the questions of how to remain strong when we are under trial. God constantly uses the lives of people to teach us, to inspire us, to warn us. The Bible is filled with these biographies. Stories of truth, relevant to our everyday lives. Many times in our businesses, we face obstacles that hold us back from getting to the next level. “We need to start working on ‘human being’ as opposed to ‘human doing’”, says Carole Burton, Principal of Radiance Resources in this episode of I HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY. “The systems are failing because they no longer serve us! That’s what’s happening and it’s impacting everyone”. She elaborates on how ‘human doing’ is about competing which leads to the scarcity mindset, while ‘human being’ is about sharing and having an abundance mindset. “People are so focused on getting an apple and holding on to that one apple, and I say, you need to let go of that apple so you can see the orchard that surrounds you”, Carole offers. She also encourages people to start exercising vulnerable and committed leadership, allowing leaders to say: I DON’T KNOW ALL THE ANSWERS, I NEED HELP. “When you let go of that apple, to me, that’s where equity lies”, she adds. “Equity in its essence about being fair and impartial. And when we have equity we move from an opt-in choice to an opt-in commitment to true change for ourselves and everyone around us – and that’s where abundance hangs out.”

Getting to the point were you can allow yourself to ask for help when you need it is incredibly difficult. Especially when you feel hopeless and you feel you have nowhere else to go except for going down the road of thinking about ending your life as the only way out. Our mind likes to tell us either we don't need help, keep doing things the way you've always done them, or you are not worth the effort. We have to ask for help. Nothing about the decision to get help and putting in the effort is easy, but it's worth the effort when you see where you can get too. Please enjoy. Please share with others who may benefit from this episode. Thank you for checking out The Basement Of Jams!

I can’t believe we are at the end of November, heading straight into the holidays, year-end, and looking forward to 2021, and I don’t know about you, but I am really looking forward to a new year. Today we are going to be talking with Jenny Ponzuric who is going to assist us with utilizing our time efficiently through planning and organization, and I know personally when implementing the strategies we talk about today, you will have less stress going into the holidays and be ready, excited, and have the capacity to take on your business and personal goals in 2021! Leaders don’t wait, they create. And so that means we must have a plan, use our time efficiently, and stay organized. This way we elevate unnecessary stress, procrastination, overwhelm, and we get to focus on the projects, programs, clients, etc. that really jazz us up. We get to stay true to our purpose, passions, and the vision that we have for our self, our business, in our careers, and also our self-improvement. I remember earlier this year shortly after launching this podcast, as well as working on a few other programs, I just stopped in my tracks. You know you don’t know what you don’t know, and I had planned some big things for 2020, and was not anticipating a global pandemic. I was feeling incredibly stressed and declared out loud “I NEED HELP”, I was feeling scattered, unorganized and couldn’t plan the next day to save my life. I reached out to Jenny and got myself back on track with her support. I can coach others, but not myself, and had lost touch, and needed to re-set. Jenny Ponzuric is the founder of Ponzuric Learning Solutions and is passionate about helping people learn about their own brains, help them work with their strengths and also their area of needs. She is a LEP, a School Neuropsychologist, and a Certified Relationship Coach, and has helped support those that struggle with learning for over 20 years. Have you ever gotten frustrated at your husband/wife, because you feel that they do not help/support you? Doesn’t the Bible speaks about being a helpmeet? So why is your husband/wife not helping? Is it possible that you ask him/her for help, but your body language communicates something totally different? Have you asked yourself if it is actually you that say you need help/support, but outwardly act like you do not? Then get upset with your husband/wife, when they stop trying to help/support? Listen in to this show of MMWTKs as they try to break this topic down. Feel free to share. Blessings.

“So I want to encourage you to consider profoundly crafting a statement and refining it that describes who you are. Like who are you and how do you choose to show up in the world. And if I can help you with that, and if you'd like some help, you can reach out to me through one of the contact mechanisms on Facebook, friend me on Facebook Click here, and then send a private message or email. There are all kinds of ways. Go to my website, which is just my name www.KellanFLuckiger.com if you'd like some help.” - Kellan Fluckiger Listen to more episodes of Your Ultimate Life: your-ultimate-life-by-kellan-fluckiger.simplecast.comWhat you are about to learnWhat is joy? - Joy is different from happiness. Joy is different from fun. Joy is different from all those other words. Joy is big than happiness. Joy is more in-depth than happiness. Joy is an abundance and overflowing exponential happiness. And there's a piece of sacred literature scripture that says, “Man is that he might have joy.” Now, since that's true, and it was spoken as a revelation from our Creator God, and think about it, that means the intention that designed the purpose of our creation and life here, is to have joy. This is the feeling that happiness is overflowing; it is the happiness of the soul. If you have Joy in your heart, you have contentment in your life. You don’t care whether you have more or you have less. You are contented with who you are, where you are, and what you are. Inward facing joy - deciding I'm going to be happy and Joy's a choice. I choose to live happily. When I took responsibility for my life and looked inward for joy, and because I came to know that joy was a choice. And I got to live in joy every day because I decided to, then I got to live in joy every day and not before then. It is up to you or up to me or up to somebody if we will accept and choose to live with Joy. If joy is a permanent thing that you can have because you want it, it is comforting. Outward-facing Joy - is a choice that I can make. After my inward joy is stable, I can now be the source of joy for others. That means I can be a fountain of joy. And in fact, I can be a fountain of never-ending joy. That means I create it by serving others with my divine gift. I get to give I get to love freely. I get to smile. I get to lift people's hearts. I get to serve them. I get to tell them how great they are. I get to say to you listening to how great you are. You're a divine being. I love being able to say that it's so true. And every person I love Looking in their eyes and seeing the divine spark and the Divine Love and the divine potential. That is such a beautiful and powerful place to choose to be. Now, remember, INWARD-FACING JOY, this is through acceptance. You are accepting Joy in your life, living it adapting it. On the contrary, OUTWARD-FACING JOY, you are providing, sharing, giving the meaning of Joy to others. What is the destination? So I know without question whether I eat and live and breathe and sleep joy every day long. By focusing on whom I can serve and how much I can love. Who to share this with? And who needs it? There are all kinds of paths that we can pursue in life. For sure, that is the destination of the road we want. Key Takeaways "How do we have joy in the middle of those things that exist, even though they're difficult, painful, and how do we move through them to a place of additional joy? I choose to live my life and remember my ultimate life, your ultimate life the way I've defined it, at least it's a life of purpose, prosperity, and yes, the joy that you create serving others with your divine gift.""Joy is a choice. I choose to live happily. I've chosen other things in the past. I've chosen to be angry. I've chosen to live in blame I've chosen to live pointing outside blaming parents, God, economy, weather, bad decisions, and conspiring grumpy people, fill in the blank. I've lived all those ways, and I was never happy doing it. When I took responsibility for my life and looked inward for joy, I got to live in joy every day because I decided to."Connect with Kellan on your favorite platforms:Facebook: www.facebook.com/kellan.fluckiger3YouTube: www.youtube.com/c/ultimatelifeformulaLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/kellanfluckigerTwitter: https://twitter.com/kellanfluckigerYou can find out more about Kellan and how he can help you achieve your ultimate life by checking out his website.Subscribe to the podcast on Apple, Spotify, Google Podcasts, iHeartRADIO, or anywhere else you listen to your podcasts. If you haven't already, please rate and review the podcast on Apple Podcasts

My name is Daria and I am.... Believer Today I went to Anonymous Alcoholics for very first time. No, I have no problem with alcohol or drugs or something else. Ya-ya, all addicted say that they have no any problem and can stop in any moment. But it is really not my case. I went there just to support one friend of mine. I sat in the corner, looked into this friendly faces, listen about their stories. I got to know them in person. Was surprised how "normal" they are and how big their hearts. Topic of the meeting was "Gratefulness". Everyone told what he/she grateful for and added some touching story from past or present time. Someone was crying. Someone was laughing. I listen all this stories and tried to recognise what I AM grateful for? What I will say when I will have chance to say something. This thought took all evening and way to home. And I found it out. I am grateful that I can ask about help. I can raise my voice and said "I NEED HELP". And I am very thankful that in time when I trusted to tell it, next to me was people what supported and helped me. You cannot imagine, but just to realize that you have a problem, took a decision to ask about help and spell this 3 words loud it is like a superpower. Plenty people have too low self worth or too big ego to do it and endet up in best case in hospital. In worse case on a bottom from where way out is almost no possible because life already completely destroyed, including relation with friends and family. I am not telling now only about drugs and alcohol. It could be depression, game addiction, shopaholism, whatever that suppose to ruin your life if not right now, than in future. Dear You, who read it right now, please, open your eyes, be honest with you, look with this opened honest eyes on your current life and pointed out that your life is awesome and be grateful for that and proud of yourself or confess that you have problem, go to people that you can trust and say "I NEED HELP". Be brave. Turn your life in better way. Bekomme a superhero. Be sure that it is never too late, but then earlier you start then easier will be to get your life back. Isn't it ironic how we have faith and believe God for everything else (new job, new car, new house), but do not when it comes to our marriage? What is so hard about believing/having faith that we can have the marriage that God intends for us to have. What is your level of faith? What does your relationship look like with God? So many question and so many answers that need to be answered. No worries, listen in and let us know what you think by going to our social media pages. Blessings....

What an exciting show we have for you today! Yvette Nunez joins Amanda and Vickie to discuss the “Help Me Grow” program in Orange County, California. Help Me Grow is a now-national program that got its start being funding by the Proposition 10 Tobacco Tax. Yvette is a Child Development Community Liaison with Help Me Grow, and has a passion for building relationships with providers and families in the community. We’re all familiar with New Year’s Resolutions. Most of us make them. Few of us keep them. Our goal is usually to change, to improve, to turn a new page and do things better for a change. But here’s what we forget: change doesn’t just happen. We have to intentionally plan for it. It will demand our focus. It will require God’s help. This year, don’t settle for the same ole half hearted limp resolutions. Let’s fix our minds on God’s word and get motivated to obey Him. If you’re looking for joy, it starts when you resolve to live your life God’s way. In the next 10 weeks I’m going to cover the 10 most common areas we all long to change. You’re going to love this practical series that I’ve called: 10 Areas I Need Help with this Year.I Need Help with my Quiet Time: If you’ve made a decision to spend time with God daily and failed over and over again, this podcast is for you. This year, instead of just wishful thinking, make your time with God something you can’t live without.

“How Social Media Made Me Suicidal”Only you know what prompted you to click the link to this blog post or play the audio file of this podcast, but if what I know about viral marketing proves to be correct, then it's likely because it prodded one of your six basic emotions of happiness, sadness, anger, fear, disgust, or surprise. You can listen to the podcast in its entirety for an explanation of the title, but if you're interested in the bottom line, here it is: I NEED HELP!In the podcast, I get into the specifics of my request because I hate when people use link-baity headlines to lure you into something completely different than what you expected. If you found this title compelling enough to click, you might find the story herein compelling as well. But if you don't have the time to listen to it, then here are the main points: I need help to help myself, and I have the following skills that can be put to use TODAY to earn money:I can build websites, and I do this in my primary business through a product I call "Starter Websites". They're nice, functional, template-based websites that are value priced and easy-to-manage. They're a great way to get someone on the web that isn’t already, or to put someone into a website in a fairly quick amount of time. If you know someone that needs one, send them here to start the process: http://bit.ly/sss4-sws1I can manage social media accounts. Ideally, I’m looking for someone that wants to put email marketing and blogging as a core of their Social Media Marketing Strategy and then uses the other social networks to augment their core strategy.I know how to use social media and social networks. This differs from social media management, because this relates to the overall strategy needed to make a social marketing initiative successful. It's about how to sculpt the right message, for the right audience, on the right medium. I’d love to do this for a university or college department, because they already have a built-in audience and all the components that could lead to social media success. Plus, I have a lot of experience working in the academic environment, so I can easily work with these organizations. If you know of one of these departments or campuses that could use this help IMMEDIATELY: CONNECT US (I'm also on Twitter: @KindraCotton)! There’s no way I could have planned the perfect storm of events of my life unraveling with such expert timing to coincide with this women’s death and the media circus surrounding it.If you've read this far, I thank you, and if you want the full story behind the title of this post, feel free to listen to the podcast.
