Judges across the country are losing patience with the Trump administration and their prosecutors, and they aren't hesitating to let them know it. So far this week, two different federal judges have had to threaten prosecutors and officials with sanctions and contempt for lying in court filings about ICE detainees. Trump's people genuinely believe that they are above the law and can lie all they want, and while that may fly in the media, it isn't working in court. According to a new analysis, the Department of Homeland Security has illegally or otherwise wrongfully detained no fewer than 2,300 people in the last 6 months. This comes out to an average of a little more than 12 people being wrongfully detained each day of the second half of 2025. They have no idea what they're doing or who they are supposed to be apprehending - and the only thing worse than that is that they simply don't care. Donald Trump offered an absolutely insane, but kind of hilarious, excuse as to why he keeps falling asleep during cabinet meetings. Rather than admitting that he's up all night and just can't physically stay awake, the President decided to blame his bouts of narcolepsy on his cabinet officials. Trump said that these people are "boring as hell," and that's why he struggles to keep his eyes open during meetings - though he insisted that he's still paying attention and that closing his eyes is a "listening mechanism."Multiple agents with ICE have been caught on video since the killing of Alex Pretti where they have threatened the lives of other protesters (which also happened after the death of Renee Good.) These men feel like they can do whatever they want to whomever they want, and they are letting everyone know that. Agents have also been caught following protesters to their homes and threatening them where they live. These people are pure evil, and there is no excuse for these Nazis to be on our streets or employed by the government.The Winter Olympics are set to begin next week in Milan, Italy, and Donald Trump has already created massive problems by sending ICE agents to act as security during the event. Italian lawmakers, including the mayor of Milan, are furious that Trump has sent his "death squad" to their country, and they are speaking out. ICE has already created furor in Italy after threatening an Italian journalist who was covering the story of them even being in the country. Today's Headlines: U.S. immigration enforcement is under intense scrutiny after another person was shot and critically injured during a Border Patrol–involved incident in southern Arizona. Details remain limited, with officials declining to identify the victim or explain how the shooting unfolded. Meanwhile in Minnesota, Rep. Ilhan Omar was attacked during a town hall after a man lunged at her and appeared to spray an unknown, foul-smelling substance from a syringe before being arrested on assault charges. Five days after the fatal shooting of Minnesota nurse Alex Pretti during an ICE encounter, the public still doesn't know who pulled the trigger — even as DHS has acknowledged that two ICE agents fired their weapons. The department is facing growing backlash after DHS Secretary Kristi Noem falsely claimed Pretti intended to “massacre” agents, a statement the White House has since tried to walk back while shifting blame internally. Minnesota is now suing the federal government for failing to preserve evidence from the shooting, with federal lawyers arguing they aren't required to do so. Criticism of ICE has also intensified following the death of 30-year-old U.S. citizen Wael Tarabishi, who relied on his father as a primary caregiver before his father was detained by ICE. Tarabishi died after weeks in the hospital, and ICE has refused to temporarily release his father to attend the funeral. Politically, Noem is facing impeachment pressure from House Democrats, while a Minnesota judge has ordered ICE's acting director to appear in court over repeated failures to comply with court orders. Internationally, the Trump administration is reportedly planning to send ICE personnel to the Winter Olympics in Milan, a move sharply criticized by the city's mayor. Separately, families of two Trinidadian men killed during U.S. boat strikes in the Caribbean have filed a lawsuit accusing the administration of extrajudicial killings. On the economic front, health insurance stocks fell after the administration declined to increase Medicare Advantage subsidies, as consumer confidence dropped to a 12-year low. Will Johnson visits with the newest member of the U.S. Winter Olympic team and former A&M football player Boone Niederhofer on this edition of Recall.Niederhofer has been named to the USA Bobsled team for the 2026 Winter Olympics, set to take place Feb. 6-22 in Milano Cortina, Italy. He is Texas A&M's first student-athlete to make a U.S. Winter Olympic team since at least 1980. A four-time World Cup team member for USA Bobsled, Niederhofer most recently competed at the 2025 IBSF World Championships this past March, where his four-man crew finished fourth overall.Before transitioning to bobsled, Niederhofer was a five-year member of the Texas A&M football program from 2012-16, lettering his final three seasons. As a wide receiver, he recorded 35 receptions for 327 yards and one touchdown in 27 career games. His best performance came against SMU in 2014, when he totaled 73 yards on six catches. US officials have confirmed a branch of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) will play a role in supporting American security operations during next month's Winter Olympics in Italy. The news has prompted outrage in Italy after ICE agents were involved with the fatal shootings of two US citizens in Minneapolis this month. Sports correspondent Dana Johannsen spoke to Lisa Owen.
