In 1981 he attended Army Staff College, Queenscliff. Three years after graduation, he was promoted to the senior officer rank of LtCol. After 20-years-service he retired from the Australian Army in 1986. He founded his own business and worked internationally as a Project Manager in the energy, oil & gas, biotechnology and telecommunications industries until his retirement. Alistair retains a keen interest in current affairs, current military matters and military history. Philipp also touches on how he handles the big challenges in the business. This includes having to relocate a high level sports related dinner with international dignitaries in Rio, Brazil for 400 guests with only 7 hours' notice. Philipp is also an exceptional ultra-runner and lots can be learnt from both the discipline it has taken him to train do these and the cultures that it has immersed him in. His insight into Bhutan and its Ministry of Happiness, which makes sure the Nation's happiness is put before anything else, are truly enlightening. Overall this is one of the most thought provoking and engaging podcasts of this series so far and I hope it is a piece of positivity as we look to the summer ahead.

Luke talks to Daniel Thomas about his process of moving from being a music therapist into running an arts therapy business. This includes to interesting discussion on the nature of 'brands', as well as reflections on how we communicate the subtle nuances fo therapeutic work to other professionals. Daniel qualified as a music therapist in 2002. His past clinical work focused on children and families, especially supporting attachment, bonding and resilience. Daniel has worked in prisons, mental health settings and in special and mainstream schools with children with a range of brain injuries and other conditions He certified in the APCI assessment in 2014, and as a Neurologic Music Therapist in 2017. He is also the Joint Managing Director of Chroma. Daniel is passionate about the business of arts therapies, believing that the economics of therapy is as important an ethical issue for therapists as is the quality of their practice. Working with Dr Vicky Abad, and colleagues from around the world including Aalborg University, Denmark and Lesley University, USA, Daniel co-authored and edited “The Economics of Therapy” published by JKP.
