    As socio-political tensions rise, natural disasters escalate and the world collapses into its dénouement of history. Many countries, if not already at war, are preparing their citizens for war—to be at ground zero. In other words, they are preparing for death. But what is of greatest importance in this moment is to be spiritually prepared for death. Shunyamurti offers some questions for us to ask ourselves in order to process our honesty and intent and in order to directly confront this imminent inevitability. Am I aligned with the will of God? Have I fulfilled the mission I was sent here to achieve—my responsibility to love and serve the light? Ultimately, this alignment can be felt only in the heart and results in a dead mind, an ascension to the fundamental Source of mind for whom all that appears is an illusion. To prepare for death is to prepare for eternal life, to disappear as who one thought one was.

    How do you know what you know? Most of us have been confusing three fundamentally different forms of knowing our entire lives: instinct (the body's survival mechanism), intellect (the mind's analytical tool), and intuition (direct knowing that bypasses thought). Understanding the difference isn't just philosophical, it has immediate implications for every decision you make, from choosing a career path to knowing when to trust someone. On this week's episode of Musings From The Mount, Diana Lang joins the conversation and begins the discussions with an exploration about instinct, that primal gut-level response designed to keep us alive in the face of immediate physical danger and one problem becomes immediately apparent, our instincts haven't evolved as fast as our environment. Our bodies trigger the same fight-or-flight response for a difficult conversation that it would for a predator, which can then lead to chronic stress and reactive decisions. Learning when instinct serves you versus when it hijacks you has become an essential tool for navigating modern life without being ruled by ancient survival programming. We also examine the intellect, a powerful but limited tool. It can analyze, categorize, and problem-solve brilliantly, but it can only rearrange information it already has. The thinking mind is like a computer working with existing data; it cannot access anything genuinely new, so we explore how intellect can itself become a defense mechanism, keeping us in our heads to avoid feeling what is actually happening in our bodies or hearts. This is why breakthrough insights never come from more thinking, they arrive through intuition. This episode offers practical ways to recognize real intuition: it has a quality of quiet certainty, doesn't require justification or mental gymnastics, and often surprises the thinking mind with information it couldn't have logically derived. Intuition is framed as "a download of complete knowing" that arrives whole rather than being built piece by piece and we discuss the key challenge? You can't hear intuition's whisper when you're constantly in motion or consumed by mental chatter. This is an invitation to examine your own decision-making and discover which form of knowing you're actually using and whether it's the right one for the situation at hand. Warnzeichen von Demenz Im Keller stehen und nicht mehr wissen, weshalb. Den Schlüsselbund schon wieder verlegt. Und überhaupt: unkonzentriert, erschöpft, verstimmt, deprimiert. Situationen und Stimmungslagen, die vorkommen können und meist einfach vorübergehen. Oder steckt doch mehr dahinter? «Puls» zeigt, wann es ernst wird, wo die Grenze zur Demenz liegt und welche Warnzeichen ernst zu nehmen sind. Leben mit und trotz der Diagnose Susanne, 55, war wegen Burnout in psychiatrischer Behandlung und wurde mit der niederschmetternden Diagnose «Demenz» entlassen. Die Diagnose trifft die selbstständige Coachin mitten im Leben. Sie will sich davon aber nicht unterkriegen lassen und mit ihrem Partner ein gutes Leben führen, solange es geht. Reisen nach Mauritius und Südafrika sind noch auf der Bucket List, Delfinschwimmen in den USA bereits abgehakt. Hoffnungsträger Lecanemab Susanne ist aussergewöhnlich aktiv: täglich Fitness, Boxen, Dancing, Yoga. Sie lernt Golf und Logopädie, schreibt ein Buch. Lauter Aktivitäten, die Körper und Hirn trainieren und so den Verlauf ihrer Demenz verlangsamen sollen. Wissenschaftlich belegt ist der Effekt jedoch nicht. Anders beim Medikament Lecanemab, das seit kurzem in der EU zugelassen ist. Susanne zählt zum kleinen Teil der Demenzbetroffenen, die für eine Behandlung grundsätzlich in Frage kommt. Nun soll eine genetische Abklärung Gewissheit schaffen. Fehlende Strukturen in der Schweiz In einem Altersheim mit anderen Demenzbetroffenen leben, die teils 30 Jahre älter sind: Realität für den 58-jährigen Ali, der wie viele Demente einen enormen Bewegungsdrang hat. Das bringt Unruhe ins Heim und das Pflegepersonal an seine Grenzen. Für Entlastung sorgen Angehörige und Freunde, die Ali mehrmals pro Woche aus dem Altersheim holen und mit ihm spazieren und joggen gehen.     Podcast notes The Quiet Turning: Meditation, Yoga, and the Truth of Impermanence One of the most frustrating instructions I ever received in a meditation class was deceptively simple: Close your eyes and quiet the mind. I remember thinking, if I could do that, I wouldn't be here learning how to meditate. Like so many others, I was searching for peace amidst the chaos of my own thoughts. Fortunately, I stumbled upon an ancient method that didn't demand silence from the start. It welcomed me exactly as I was. And over the years, daily meditation has become a cornerstone of my spiritual path, a way not to escape my thoughts but to learn how to be with them, honestly and gently.  Many people believe they can't meditate because their minds are too restless. But that's precisely why meditation works. You don't need to be naturally calm to benefit from the practice, in fact, it's often those with the most inner turbulence who stand to gain the most. The very effort to sit, to observe, to try, even if imperfectly, is itself transformative. Every sincere attempt to concentrate, even for a moment, changes the texture of our awareness. Presence deepens. Stillness peeks through. In this way, meditation becomes a necessary companion to the physical discipline of yoga āsana. While āsana strengthens and opens the body, meditation refines the mind. Both are limbs of the same eightfold path and thrive in relationship to each other. If you're immersed in a strong physical practice, I invite you to explore the quiet power of sitting. If you already sit, but haven't stepped onto a mat, consider how movement might deepen your awareness. It's in the meeting of stillness and motion, of breath and body, that yoga reveals its deepest gifts. There is a turning that happens in every sincere moment of meditation: a turning inward, a turning away from distraction, and when we're ready, a turning toward truth. One who sees the Dhamma sees impermanence.” To walk the path is to see clearly—moment by moment—that all things arise and pass. This insight is not depressing, but liberating.
