Staffel 3 - Folge 10: Die Eishockey Show powered by MagentaSport.
He's an integral part of the Carolina Hurricanes and is the Masterton Trophy nominee for the team. Jordan Martinook has played a role on whatever team he's been on. He joined Jeff and Elliotte to talk about some of his favourite hockey memories, scoring a Gordie Howe hat-trick in front of Gordie Howe, coming up with ideas for the Storm Surge, his relationship with his agent, the ritual he had started with Tobias Rieder that still lives on through Andrei Svechnikov, talks about his love of acting and karaoke (big Nickelback fan) and explains what makes the Caroline Hurricanes so special.Email the podcast at 32thoughts@sportsnet.ca or call The Thought Line at 1-833-311-3232 and leave us a voicemailThis podcast was produced and mixed by Amil Delic, and hosted by Jeff Marek and Elliotte Friedman.Audio Credits: Bally Sports & Roadrunner. The views and opinions expressed in this podcast are those of the hosts and guests and do not necessarily reflect the position of Rogers Sports & Media or any affiliates.

The Ducks sign Tobias Rieder to a PTO contract... thus creating even more of a possible logjam at the forward position. Does he fit in with this team? Also, some rankings of the logos and home jerseys came out this week. For Ducks fans, it's not pretty. Learn more about your ad choices.

The biggest signing of the Sabres season is definitely Taylor Hall, but there is change in the bottom six forward group as well. Johan Larsson and Dominik Kahun out, Cody Eakin and Tobias Rieder in, and Zemgus Girgensons is here to stay. Will the Sabres bottom six be a hinderance to this team going forward? Also, how likely is it that Sam Reinhart is going to be a Sabre long term? Learn more about your ad choices.

Well it just wouldn't be a Calgary Flames game without some drama...... Flames win 4-1 dominating the Jets on the PP and PK. Standout performances from Johnny Gaudreau, Mikael Backlund, and yes Tobias Rieder lead the Flames to victory. BUT, as usual, all anyone wanted to talk about was a certain #19 in red.
On this week's episode, Ryan Dittrick and Brendan Parker recap the past few weeks in Calgary and around the NHL, and welcome Flames forward Tobias Rieder to the program

We're upgrading the power at Nation HQ this week so there was no juice to record this week's podcast. Instead, we welcome you to a 'best of' edition of Oilersnation Radio, featuring our interviews with Georges Laraque and Rob Schremp and another look at the fight that broke out over Bob Nicholson. I have to say, doing ON Radio every week is always a great time because we never know what's going to happen on an episode-to-episode basis. Sometimes we get a chance to talk to former Oilers like Georges Laraque and Rob Schremp and end up having an amazing conversation about everything from the team to life in general. Both guys were incredibly honest and forthright in their conversations with us and it's always incredible to hear about their journies. From life on the road to battles with depression, we covered all kinds of ground with both Georges and Rob and we're still incredibly grateful that they were willing to share their time with us. Not to be outdone, we also wanted to have another look at the time that Jay and Rick yelled at each other following Bob Nicholson's comments that Tobias Rieder was a major cause of the Oilers missing the playoffs this past season. I absolutely love when a fight like this breaks out and I really do enjoy just sitting back and watching the madness unfold. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Viele Verträge liefen Ende der Saison aus. Wer sollte eine Verlängerung erhalten und warum. Was gibt es neues aus der Gerüchteküche?
The Edmonton Oilers have a group of forwards -- Ty Rattie, Tobias Rieder, Alex Chiasson and Jujhar Khaira -- where they've got to make a call. What should GM Ken Holland do with each of them? Keep, hold or fold? Bruce McCurdy and David Staples of the Cult of Hockey dig in.

As James' bull boxer dog joins the podcast, Brutes and James are grappling with how to handle the behemoth and his constant noise. The guys do manage to discuss some things however. This weeks episode discusses Oilers CEO Bob Nicholson criticizing forward Tobias Rieder's struggles, the Capitals who did not visit the White House, March Madness updates, Eugene Melnyk's decision to call TSN's Ian Mendes bush league as well as Melnyk's decision to fire up some burner accounts, Jon Cooper's extension, and Doughty vs. Tkachuk. This episode also features a game of Over/Unders, and the guys also fill out Greg Wyshynski's "Stanley Cup Madness" bracket. Sponsored by Air-Dale Fishing & Hunting. Intro Music: John Wick Mode - Le Castle Vania Outro Music: One Day In Your Life - 54/40
Freddy Andersen, Tuukka Rask and Connor Hellebuyck have all had their ups and downs this year. With all 3 of these teams in the playoffs, does it make sense to give them rest in time for the playoffs? Plus, Tobias Rieder gets publicly shamed, Doughty calls out Burns and the NHLPA poll is discussed
The guys are back with a full week of news. First, they take a look at the Toronto Maple Leafs. Comments and possible tweets from Mike Babcock and Kyle Dubas? Alex and Chace both seem to think this has been an overreaction. But why exactly? As well, they look at what Mike Babcock may truly be thinking. Next, they switch and look at what Eugene Melnyk said on the radio this year. Alex is fed up with his team and wants to know why they can't be better at everything. Chace has some questions for why Melnyk would even think this is a good idea. As well, Alex breaks down the whole situation and why they would never move the team. After that, they switch to even more comments. This time coming from Bob Nicholson on Tobias Rieder. The guys wonder what on Earth was going through Nicholson's head. They also highlight why this is terrible news for Edmonton. Not just because of the comments but what it means moving forward. Lastly, they take a look at the Montreal Canadiens vs Columbus Blue Jackets playoff race. The guys decide who they think will make it. Along with asking the question will Columbus fire their coach or GM if they miss playoffs? What about if they just miss one round? Tune in for all of this and more, with the MnM Hockey Podcast!
The Canucks’ season is nothing but a formality now and the Toronto Maple Leafs’ are in the midst of some off ice drama. But nothing compares to the latest instalment of nonsensical Eugene Melnyk quotes! Ryan, Geeta and P Mac gather this week to discuss the final weeks of the Vancouver Canucks season. Following an incredibly disappointing loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets, there isn’t too much to get excited about. Dave joins the podcast for the first time in a few weeks to discuss Oilers’ president Bob Nicholson’s interesting comments on Tobias Rieder, the Blue Jackets’ exceptionally risky gamble and he chimes in on the Hart Trophy discussion. They also discuss the Maple Leafs’ alleged drama between Kyle Dubas and Mike Babcock. Is this all hearsay and quotes being misinterpreted? Or is there a serious rift between the GM and head coach about how to run an NHL team in 2019. Finally, the gang discusses Roberto Luongo’s cap penalty that could affect the Canucks, answer some listener questions and take a look at a questionable Twitter account. Could the eternally optimistic Jack Maxwell actually be someone under Eugene Melnyk’s employ? We investigate. Support the show on Patreon! Pledge a coupla bucks (or $5) and get instant access to all our bonus content. This week Ryan discusses his delicate feet and his seawall walk, the gang discusses low rent Canadian outlet stores and Ryan’s shameful online Pizza Hut order. THN's Matt Larkin, Ryan Kennedy and Ken Campbell discuss Columbus' rocky road to the playoffs (1:00), Bob Nicholson's comments about Tobias Rieder (9:10), their top Vezina candidates (15:55) and takeaways from the Clarkson Cup final (23:21). Then, Matt gives some fantasy pickup tips (29:18) and Ryan focuses his future watch on 2019 draft prospect Blake Murray and Flyers first rounder Joel Farabee (31:58). Plus, Ken talks about his magazine feature on Avalanche prospect Cale Makar (34:28) and they answer some mailbag questions (37:23).
Welcome, welcome, welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to another edition of the Real Life Podcast! As always, the boys are back with another 60 minutes of ear-filling wisdom that you won't want to miss. This week, we're talking more Bob Nicholson, trying to figure out where the Ryan Nugent-Hopkins trade rumours are coming from, and recap the amazing #NationVacation to Las Vegas that happened a little bit earlier in the month. It was a different flavour for the Real Life podcast this week as Baggedmilk and the Squire flew solo with Wanye wrapped up in some business calls and Chalmers in the middle of a family vacation. Despite the lineup temporary lineup change, the show must go on so the boys dove into the latest happenings with the Edmonton Oilers, including the fallout from Bob Nicholson's comments regarding Tobias Rieder, Ken Hitchcock's mysterious three-year deal, and the strange trade rumours surrounding Ryan Nugent-Hopkins. With the angering business out of the way, the boys wanted to pivot to something a little bit more fun, so they went through the ins and outs of the #NationVacation to Las Vegas and how the whole trip came about in the first place. With that in mind, the Squire and Producer Jared walked us through the process from concept to completion on the Vegas road trip, what can be improved, and what to expect from the next time the Nation does something like this. Needless to say, the boys had such an amazing time with all of the Nation citizens that came with us and the ones they met down in LV that it seems like a no-brainer that a trip like this needs to happen again. All-in-all, it was another jam-packed episode that you're going to want to sink into your earholes. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Rubeo sneakily catches Kus and Schwartz's poor acapella skills to intro the show. Kus lets everyone know the boys are now video recording the show and please don't be startled by his grey beard. Kitts, Schwartz, and Rubeo celebrate last week's beer league W after their prior shellacking. And fortunately for Kitts' other team, Munson didn't show up last game but neither did their goalie... and yet they still won?! ICYMI: Patty Kane recorded his 1,000th point, Zdeno Chara scored his 200th goal and re-signed with the Bruins, the Oilers' CEO blames Tobias Rieder for the team's lack of success at a season ticket holder event, the NHL announced their Global Series for next season, the results of a 500+ NHL player poll was released, and Ron Burgundy joined the LA Kings broadcast booth. Considering our recent #hockeytough IG post, should all adult leaguers wear cages/masks? Brady Tkachuk lost a "floss off" with a young fan. And have you seen the polarizing goalie mask of a 14-year-old with Donald Trump painted on it? It's made for a heated comment section on our Instagram. All before the boys make their Weekly Picks [to win a free HPC gift card or HPC XV3 hockey stick] and play a round of Top Shelf Trivia on who's been hot in 2019.

Welcome, friends, to a brand new episode of Oilersnation Radio, the podcast where we talk all things Edmonton Oilers. This week, we dive into the strange comments made by Bob Nicholson at yesterday's season ticket holder event, recap the trip we took to Vegas, preview our trip to Calgary, and a whole lot more. In the short history of Oilersnation Radio, I have never seen the boys this fired up for a recording. After Bob Nicholson decided to throw Tobias Rieder under the bus at yesterday's season ticket holder meeting, the Nation was fired up and that definitely carried over into today's podcast. Needless to say, the boys were passionate about their positions and it caused an argument to break out like we've never seen before. Lastly, we recap the incredible #NationVacation we had last weekend with some amazing Nation citizens and marvelled at the incredible community that surrounds this website. Without all of you, these trips would never even be possible so I can't thank all of you enough for joining us and following along with all of the shenanigans on social media. I can't wait until we do this again. Thank you to Laur Elle for this week's Intro/Outro song 'Leave This Town'. You can check her out on Instagram or on her Website

TSN Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie checked in with the Boys to break down the Sabres continuing to struggle, the comments of Bob Nicholson on Tobias Rieder & we asked Bob about the grittiest towns in Ontario!
On this episode Tyler, Jared and Brent start by discussing that great game between the Lightning and Capitals on Wednesday night. This could potentially be the Eastern Conference Final we see in May which we would all definitely sign up for. Next up we get into some of the other possible playoff matchups we could see in the next couple weeks especially in the Atlantic and Pacific divisions. The Oilers are back in the news again, and it’s not for a good reason. Their annual meeting with season ticket holders was Wednesday and Bob Nicholson went on quite the rant about Tobias Rieder. We also discuss the annual NHLPA player’s pole. From who is the league's best player to best nickname in the NHL there is some interesting debates to be had. As usual we end our episode with a fairly quiet weekend of action compared to the last couple we’ve seen but there are plenty of big points on the line this weekend. Thanks for tuning in, we hope you enjoy.
Bob sets up an Oilers game day against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Get pregame clips from Hitchcock, Draisaitl, Kassian and Gagner, plus the projected lines. Then, 630 CHED's Reid Wilkins joins Bob to discuss Tobias Rieder and whether the Oilers are fatigued. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
After the beer-league roster filled the mic's last week as Baggedmillk and myself were sick, the squad is back together for this weeks episode! We talk all things Oilers, hockey, and Evan the Intern. We take off to Calgary tomorrow to watch the Battle of Alberta game so we're pretty pumped to leave. We do a lot of speculating on what we expect to see from Koskinen, who is starting in goal, and what we'll see from Milan Lucic, and who replaces Tobias Rieder in the lineup.
The Edmonton Oilers traded Ryan Strome to the New York Rangers for Ryan Spooner. David Staples and Bruce McCurdy of The Cult of Hockey dig in, as well as talk about Koskinen vs Talbot in net, the Tobias Rieder injury, and Todd McLellan on the hot seat.

Decisions, decisions. The Edmonton Oilers are about halfway through training camp, and while the NHL team has made a number of roster cuts already — sending players in bunches back to junior clubs and to the minor league in Bakersfield for the AHL team camp — the hard work deciding who stays and who goes starts now. The Oilers have three pre-season games left before they depart for Europe, where they’ll play an exhibition in Cologne, Germany, before starting the 2018-19 season in Gothenburg, Sweden, against the New Jersey Devils. We’re going to know who will be on the roster to start the season by the final NHL exhibition game at this week’s end. A pleasant fly in the ointment has been Kailer Yamamoto, the small winger who earned a nine-game NHL regular season look last year after being drafted in the first round by the Oilers in 2017. He’s doing the same things this year — scoring, looking very much in place in the Oilers lineup, making it very hard for head coach Todd McLellan to send him to Bakersfield. So what happens with other forwards, particularly the likes of Tobias Rieder and Drake Caggiula? Host Craig Ellingson talks to hockey beat writers Jim Matheson and Rob Tychkowski about the Oilers’ offensive puzzle as well as about the state of the team’s defensive corps and about the upcoming trip to Europe.
Jack Michaels, Edmonton Oilers Play-by-Play Peter Chiarelli, Comment on Tobias coming to the Edmonton Oilers Tobias Rieder, Signed a one-year deal to the Edmonton Oilers, worth $2 million
The Province's Ben Kuzma says that the Canucks could offer Jay Beagle a term deal. Kuzma believes that Beagle would bring the Canucks some much needed size. Kuzma also dives into what Tobias Rieder could bring to the Canucks.
Bob McKenzie suggests Vancouver is one of the teams in the mix for forward Tobias Rieder, as the team looks to add veteran mentorship and stability in the UFA market
Host Derek Van Diest talks to Edmonton Oilers beat reporters Jim Matheson and Rob Tychkowski about the NHL’s free agency period, which starts Sunday, July 1, 2018. Not that Oilers general manager Peter Chiarelli is licking his chops, pen and chequebook in hand, to give out some fat contracts this time around. No, the Oilers will be looking way, way down the list of available free agents in search of forward depth, to the likes of Kyle Brodziak, Jason Chimera and Tobias Rieder — all former Oilers, as it turns out.
Jason Botchford of the Province Sports is not a fan of the Canucks pursuing Tyler Bozak or Riley Nash in free-agency, preferring Tobias Rieder. Botch says Chris Tanev will be needed to play alongside either Juolevi or Hughes, and discusses Pouliot vs Hutton vs MDZ
Chanelle and Diane celebrate the return of Jeff Carter, and then eat their words on Dion Phaneuf just a little bit. Then saying goodbye to goalie Darcy Kuemper stings, but at least new addition Tobias Rieder has already scored. Plus, it's important to finally get a chance to shout about Olympic hockey (gold! yes!) and some of the funny ups and downs around the league.
Craig Morgan, Jaime Eisner and Luke Lapinski discuss potential Erik Karlsson trades, Olympic hockey, the Tobias Rieder trade, Johnny Hockey and more. *** Hockey lovers rejoice as the Natural Hat Trick provides a unique mix of analysis and humor packed into each hour-long show. Luke Lapinski, Craig Morgan and Jaime Eisner remember that sports are fun and make sure each show is equal parts entertaining and informative. Luke Lapinski is the radio host for the Arizona Coyotes’ pre- and post-game shows. Craig Morgan has covered, professional, college and prep sports in Arizona since 1993. He covers the Coyotes and Arizona State University for FanRag Sports. Jaime Eisner has covered the Coyotes since 2013.

While Elan is off doing god knows what in Vegas, Brian takes the reins on this edition of the Keeping Karlsson Fantasy Hockey Podcast.Brian isn't going at it alone, though-- Hockey PDOcast's Dimitri Filipovic steps in to guest host as we fly through this week's most pertinent poolie particulars. We look at an unusually high volume in changes to top lines across the NHL, including those in Columbus, St. Louis, Pittsburgh, Vancouver, Chicago, Long Island, Dallas and Florida, as well as the newest opportunities available to some hungry up-and-comers that might just be ready to start producing. We also compare the production of the players on two of the hottest lines in the league-- these guys are not only putting up points, but they're doing it while wearing NHL crests long associated with scoring scarcity and boring hockey (though that reputation may be proving harder to shake for one particular locale).Players discussed on this episode include Nick Bjugstad, Brent Seabrook, Adam Henrique, Pascal Dupuis, James Neal, Lee Stempniak, Trevor van Riemsdyk, Dmitri Jaskin, Jori Lehtera, Mattias Janmark, Mike Cammalleri, Erik Karlsson, Colton Parayko, Duncan Keith, Alex Barkov, Jaromir Jagr, Jaden Schwartz, Mike Green, Brendan Smith, Niklas Kronwall, Evander Kane, Matt Moulson, Johan Larsson, Teemu Pulkkinen, Paul Stastny, David Backes, Scotty Upshall, Jonathan Huberdeau, Michael Neuvirth, Steve Mason, Jaroslav Halak, Thomas Greiss, Chris Kunitz, David Perron, Ryan Johansen, Brandon Dubinsky, Radim Vrbata, Evgeny Kuznetsov, Ryan Strome, Kyle Okposo, Matthew Nieto, Joel Ward, Viktor Tikhonov, Antti Raanta, Mike Fisher, Mike Ribeiro, James Neal, Trevor Daley, Andrei Markov, Alex Semin, Jeff Skinner, Patrick Sharp, Max Domi, Tobias Rieder, Anthony Duclair, Sergei Bobrovsky, Craig Anderson and more.Be sure to check out Hockey PDOcast on the web, on iTunes, on soundcloud, and on Patreon! And we highly recommend you follow Dimitri on Twitter @DimFilipovic.* * *Download this episode, subscribe, and review us on iTunes! If you enjoy the show, please support future episodes by becoming a patron of Keeping Karlsson. Last week's episode of the Keeping Karlsson Fantasy Hockey Podcast was all about catching up on two weeks' worth of action, and this week we're all about getting you ahead of the curve with all of the latest fantasy hockey news, info and analysis. This 89th edition of the show kicks off with a deep dive into what the Johansen-Jones trade means for both the players who swapped teams, and the rest of the guys who will be shuffled and shifted around the Columbus and Nashville rosters as a result. In our Outjuries, we look at a 60 point-plus LA King not named Kopitar or Toffoli, a phenom-in-the-making re-entering the Bruins lineup, a recovered goalie who actually stayed that way long enough to make a start this time around, and a fiery Coyote who's getting more help than usual from his teammates. We also look at the impact of injuries to top line fixtures in New Jersey, Calgary and St Louis, and suggest you quickly grab a goalie who could get some games in on a very good team depending on the severity of his teammate's injury. Our Players of Note this week include a couple goalies about whom you can comfortably stop tweeting us questions, a great spot starter in an Eastern Conference crease, and a couple top line producers out West. Finally, the show closes out with a whack of Snoozers, including a couple perennial favourites who have failed to deliver by the midway point, and an apparent false start from a former 30 goal scorer.Players discussed on this episode include Ryan Johansen, Seth Jones, Alexander Wennberg, Mattias Ekholm, Connor Hellebuyck, Louis Domingue, David Pastrnak, Martin Hanzal, Shane Doan, James Reimer, Jonathan Bernier, Jiri Hudler, Joe Colborne, Mike Cammalleri, James Neal, Mike Ribeiro, Ryan Ellis, Adam Henrique, Brian Elliott, Colton Parayko, Lee Stempniak, Kyle Palmieri, Tobias Rieder, Sean Monahan, Johnny Gaudreau, Jeff Carter, Tanner Pearson, Robin Lehner, Nail Yakupov, Teddy Purcell, Jay Bouwmeester, Jake Allen, Paul Stastny, Linus Ullmark, Chad Johnson, Patrick Sharp, Alex Goligoski, Andrew Ladd, Jason Pominville, Jeff Skinner, Brandon Dubinsky, Tomas Hertl, Al Montoya, Chris Kunitz, Sidney Crosby, Patric Hornqvist, and more.* * *Download this episode, subscribe, and review us on iTunes! If you enjoy the show, please support future episodes by becoming a patron of Keeping Karlsson. Too early for a holiday-related episode title? This brand new episode of the Keeping Karlsson Fantasy Hockey Podcast makes no apologies! This week's edition kicks off with injuries, where we pause to consider how the Montreal Canadiens put up a ten-spot without two of their top three centremen, as well as how anything good can happen in Arizona with a key component of their first line gone for a while. And yes, Martin Hanzal is healthy.. There's much more happening in outjuries, where we've got a Predator and Senator goal-scorers whose gamelogs aren't all that dissimilar to when they were injured, a reliable top-sixer getting his spot back in Washington, and a masked Red Wing who'll be looking to regain the pre-injury form that had eluded him for a long, long, long, long while. Speaking of goalies, weirdness continues to pervade keeper numbers and performances and tandems around the league, with a sudden extended rest for a legendary Ranger tendy, an apparent attempt at a tandem in Colorado, a turn away from a heretofore #1 in Winnipeg, and Cory Schneider doing his best Cam Ward impression. Cold streaks this week sweep through an entire Metropolitan squad, key components of an Atlantic team, a couple guys named Zach, and a usually reliable King. Hot streaks include a guy Brian called a snoozer last week, a guy Elan called a snoozer last week, a still kind of hopeless buy maybe not Cap, a Cap tease, as well as a less hopeless Cap, a Blue and an Oiler who find themselves this week's beneficiaries of their teams' usual line shuffling, a bunch of Islanders(!?), a former Isle, and two Penguins d-men who Brian will again tell you not to rush to pick up. Players featured on this episode include Alex Galchenyuk, Tomas Plekanec, Antti Raanta, Henrik Lundqvist, Max Domi, James Neal, Filip Forsberg, Viktor Arvidsson, TJ Oshie, Evgeni Kuznetsov, John Carlson, Bobby Ryan, Petr Mrazek, Jimmy Howard, Marcus Johansson, Radim Vrbata, Tobias Rieder, Anthony DeAngelo, Michael Stone, Mike Smith, Chet Pickard, Semyon Varlamov, Pekka Rinne, Michael Hutchinson, Connor Hellebuyck, Cory Schneider, Keith Kinkaid, Victor Rask, Derek Ryan, Jaccob Slavin, Max Pacioretty, Brendan Gallagher, Zach Parise, Mikko Koivu, Eric Staal, Zach Werenski Andrew Shaw, David Desharnais, Alex Radulov, Paul Byron, Philip Danault, Tyler Toffoli, Sam Gagner, Marian Gaborik, Jonathan Drouin, Tyler Johnson, Ondrej Palat, Steve Mason, Michal Neuvirth, Robby Fabbri, John Tavares, Josh Bailey, Anders Lee, Frans Nielsen, Justin Schultz, Ian Cole, Drake Caggiula and more.
