N.D. Austin is not an event planner. He designs experiences, which he says are supposed to leave you feeling transformed. He's designed hundreds over the years, from secret sewer speakeasies to coming-of-age rituals on deserted islands, to funeral board games that guide people through decades of memories. In this episode, Anna talks to skateboarding legend Tony Hawk about an experience N.D. designed for Tony's office that mended friendships on a homemade train. My guest today is Ramtin Naimi. Ramtin is the founder of Abstract Ventures, one of the most talked-about seed funds in Silicon Valley. What makes Ramtin's story so compelling isn't just his firm's remarkable track record—including early investments in Rippling, Solana, and dozens of unicorns—but also the unconventional path he took to get there. From running a hedge fund straight out of high school to filing for bankruptcy at 24, then bootstrapping his way to building a $2 billion AUM venture firm using AngelList and relentless hustle. Our conversation begins in an unexpected place—the art world—where Ramtin has become a sophisticated collector, learning from mentors like Michael Ovitz about market dynamics that surprisingly mirror venture capital. We dive deep into how the art world actually works, and Ramtin explains how these lessons about "masterpieces" apply directly to identifying power-law companies in venture. We go deep on his approach to early-stage investing and how he built Abstract as a co-investment vehicle alongside firms like Sequoia, Benchmark, and Andreessen Horowitz. We explore his portfolio construction model, his philosophy on dilution-sensitive founders, and why he takes upwards of 30 pitch meetings per week to build his "frame of reference." We discuss why Abstract has the highest graduation rate from seed to Series A among all seed funds, and how this competitive advantage compounds over time. This is his first time telling his story, and we discuss the power of pattern recognition, relentless work ethic, and the unique opportunities available to those willing to start from scratch in Silicon Valley. Please enjoy this great conversation with Ramtin Naimi. What happens when a Yale-educated tech executive loses everything and builds an AI that reads your soul? In this powerful episode, Sarah sits down with Rachel Loewenherz, founder of Star Path AI, to explore the intersection of ancient wisdom and cutting-edge technology for business strategy. After surviving four pregnancy losses, corporate layoffs, and a profound spiritual awakening, Rachel combined her market research expertise with deep astrological knowledge to create Star Path—an AI Oracle that helps entrepreneurs understand their cosmic blueprint for success. This isn't about generic business advice; it's about discovering how you're uniquely wired to make money, communicate authentically, and build a business that feels aligned with your soul. Rachel shares her journey from feeling like "a red hot Ferrari who thought she was a minivan" to building spiritual infrastructure that's helping women entrepreneurs worldwide navigate uncertainty with cosmic clarity. Learn why your second house reveals your money blueprint, how AI can make ancient wisdom actionable, and why the wobbliness you're feeling in business might be exactly where you're supposed to be. Whether you're a seasoned entrepreneur or just starting your business journey, this conversation will shift how you think about strategy, authenticity, and the power of knowing yourself at the deepest level. What You'll Learn: How to identify your unique money blueprint using astrological insights Why traditional business strategies might be failing you (and what to do instead) The difference between spiritual entertainment and actionable self-knowledge How AI can compress complex astrological data into daily business decisions Why we're in an "Age of Aquarius" moment of decentralization and what it means for entrepreneurs How to use cosmic timing for launches, marketing, and major business decisions The power of receiving as a core leadership strength in uncertain times How to create marketing that sounds authentically like you (not generic AI copy) Why abundance doesn't always mean wealth and how to define it for yourself Strategies for navigating business challenges during collective transformation In this transformative episode of Game On Girlfriend®, host Sarah Walton welcomes Rachel Loewenherz, the Yale-educated founder of Star Path AI, for a deep conversation about combining ancient wisdom with modern technology to create aligned businesses. Rachel's story begins in corporate America, where despite professional success, she felt increasingly disconnected from her purpose. After surviving multiple pregnancy losses and experiencing betrayal in the business world - including being laid off on the day she was promised a VP promotion - Rachel found herself at a crossroads. The turning point came through an astrology reading where she learned she was "a red hot Ferrari who thought she was a minivan." This revelation sparked years of study in spiritual healing modalities. Eventually, it led to the creation of Star Path, an AI Oracle that uses astrological data to provide personalized business guidance. Unlike traditional AI tools that offer generic advice, Star Path understands each user's unique cosmic blueprint. The platform helps entrepreneurs understand their money-making patterns, optimal communication styles, and ideal timing for major business decisions. Rachel explains how your astrological "second house" reveals specific information about how you're designed to generate wealth and what abundance truly means for you personally. The conversation explores why we're living through a significant collective shift - what Rachel calls the "Age of Aquarius" - characterized by decentralization of power and information. This explains why many entrepreneurs feel "wobbly" right now; we're in a period of necessary transformation where old systems are breaking down to make way for more authentic, aligned ways of doing business. Sarah and Rachel discuss practical applications of cosmic business strategy, including why certain marketing approaches feel completely wrong for some people while working perfectly for others. Rachel shares her own experience of trying TikTok marketing because "everyone said to go viral," only to have it fail spectacularly because her chart indicated she should "optimize for resonance over reach." The episode concludes with insights about the future of entrepreneurship, where knowing yourself deeply becomes the ultimate competitive advantage. As AI makes professional-quality marketing accessible to everyone, authenticity and personal truth become the key differentiators. About Rachel Loewenherz: Rachel Loewenherz is the founder of Star Path—an AI oracle powered by astrology. She's a Yale-educated business strategist & tech marketer, former Chief of Staff, and 2-time CEO. But that's just on paper. Behind the scenes, Rachel was losing pregnancies, healing from PTSD, and having a massive spiritual awakening. That's when she found astrology. Now she's building Star Path—an AI that helps people remember who they are and become who they came here to be. This episode, we're pausing the hustle to take a big-picture look at what really matters in both business and life. Danielle Hayden, CEO of Kickstart Accounting, Inc., sits down with Taylor Thompson, founder of Personal Brand House, bestselling author of More Life, podcast host, and national speaker, to talk about what it means to build a business that gives you more life, not just more work and revenue. Taylor brings a refreshing take on entrepreneurship—less “do more,” more “do what matters to you”. From overcoming burnout to designing a lifestyle-first business model, Taylor shares personal insights, financial mindset wisdom, and actionable steps to help you avoid deathbed regret and define success on your terms. Key Takeaways: Define Your “Enough”: Growth is great, but not if it's at the cost of the things that really matter to you in life. Know what enough looks like for you and structure your business to support that. Start with the Life You Want: Reverse-engineer your business model based on your ideal calendar, energy, and goals—not arbitrary revenue benchmarks. Zone of Genius ≠ Zone of Aliveness: Just because you're good at something doesn't mean it should be your business. Fulfillment matters just as much as skill. Detach Your Worth from Your Numbers: Your financials aren't a report card. Use them as a tool for informed decisions, not as a reflection for your identity. Pause to Notice Meaningful Moments: “More life” isn't only about having more stuff. It's about feeling more joy, presence, and alignment in everyday moments. Topics Discussed: (01:05 – 03:52) Taylor's Mission: Helping others avoid deathbed regrets with tactical strategies to build businesses that prioritize what matters most to them (03:53 – 06:28) Reclaiming Freedom: Monetizing a Personal Brand & Restructuring Your Business Model to Work Smarter, Not Harder (06:29 – 10:14) Trading Time for Money and Why Knowing Your “Enough” is Essential (10:15 – 13:56) Two Exercises: How to Figure Out What You Really Want & How Much Time and Money You Need to Get That (13:58 – 16:10) What a Lifestyle Business Looks Like: Calendar-First, Value-Aligned, Purpose-Driven (16:11 – 18:15) The “More Life” Concept and How You Can Implement It Logistically (18:16 – 21:09) Creating “More Life” for Yourself Even as a Workaholic (21:18 – 25:09) Detaching Self-Worth from Financial Performance and Using Data Over Drama (25:10 – 26:29) How to Explore What Having “More Life” Feels Like (26:33 – 28:47) Where You Can Connect & Find Taylor Thompson's Work Resources: Taylor's Book | More Life Work with Taylor | https://www.heytaylorthompson.com/pbm Follow Taylor on IG | @TheTaylorThompson Taylor's Podcast | High Performer Book a Call with Kickstart Accounting, Inc.: https://www.kickstartaccountinginc.com/book Connect with Kickstart Accounting, Inc.: Instagram | https://www.instagram.com/Kickstartaccounting YouTube | https://www.youtube.com/@businessbythebooks Facebook | https://www.facebook.com/kickstartaccountinginc

In this episode of the Personal Finance Podcast, we are going to do a Money Q&A about should I invest in REITS? Today we are going to answer these questions: Question 1: Should I buy Vanguard's VNQ REIT for easy real estate investing instead of using Fundrise? Question 2: Should I invest extra cash, pay off my boat and car loans, or tackle my 8% rental mortgages first? Question 3: How do I save money for my kids if I don't want a 529 and want them to use it for anything — not just college? Question 4: Is tax loss harvesting worth it for regular index fund investors — or should I just keep dollar-cost averaging? Question 5: Should I buy finance books now to learn more — or wait until my emergency fund and investments are set up? Question 6: I opened brokerage accounts in my name for my kids — how do I transfer these to them later without selling everything? How Andrew Can Help You: Listen to The Business Show here. In this powerful activation, we're not chasing money. We're not trying to force or manifest from effort. We're stepping into something far more magnetic—allowing. This isn't about trying harder. It's about opening the energetic gates and realizing that large sums of money are already available to you. Right now. From multiple sources. In ways you can't predict, but can absolutely receive. When you enter the frequency of allowing, you become the signal that wealth responds to. You stop blocking the flow with doubt, resistance, and over-efforting—and you start receiving through alignment, ease, and inner coherence. This activation is designed to help you shift your identity, rewire your energetic posture, and fully harmonize with the reality where large sums of money are already flowing to you.

a16z General Partners Erik Torenberg and Martin Casado sit down with technologist and investor Balaji Srinivasan to explore how the metaphors we use to describe AI—whether as god, swarm, tool, or oracle—reveal as much about us as they do about the technology itself.Balaji, best known for his work in crypto and network states, also brings a deep background in machine learning. Together, the trio unpacks the evolution of AI discourse, from monotheistic visions of a singular AGI to polytheistic interpretations shaped by culture and context. They debate the practical and philosophical: the current limits of AI, why prompts function like high-dimensional programs, and what it really takes to “close the loop” in AI reasoning. This is a systems-level conversation on belief, control, infrastructure, and the architectures that might govern future societies. What does soccer have to do with retirement? A lot more than you'd think. As a 5'5" former college soccer player turned financial advisor, I've learned it's not about brute strength. It's about smart decisions. That mindset guides the way I approach financial planning today. At 29, people ask why I care so much about retirement. The answer is simple: good planning gives you time. And time with the people you love is the most valuable thing there is. I've seen how a well-structured plan, from managing taxes to optimizing healthcare and using flexible accounts, can buy you years with aging parents, a spouse, or even just your own freedom. But there are traps, like being "qualified rich." That $2 million in your 401(k)? After taxes and penalties, it's not what it seems. That's why I'm a big fan of what I call “superhero accounts” like brokerage accounts that let you retire on yourterms. And don't get me started on the healthcare gap between early retirement and Medicare. It's one of the biggest mindset hurdles we help people overcome.I got into this work after watching my own parents get burned by multiple advisors. Some were too fancy, some were too hands-off, and none truly planned holistically. That gap in the industry is what I aim to close. To me, the goal is recreational employment. Working because you want to, not because you have to.-Advisory services are offered through Root Financial Partners, LLC, an SEC-registered investment adviser. 01:02:27 – Social Media Gossip Culture and the Tea App FalloutThe leak of private data from the Tea App highlights how gossip-driven platforms manipulate users through dopamine feedback loops. Shallow validation from exposing others has fueled massive privacy violations, revealing the dark psychology behind social media. 01:25:16 – Open Door to Exploitation: No Firewall, No ConsentSensitive user data was left in an unencrypted, publicly accessible folder—no hack required, just a URL. The incident showcases staggering corporate negligence and reflects a broader pattern of irresponsibility across the tech industry. 02:02:56 – Buttigieg and the Absurdity of Infrastructure Theater“Secretary Pothole Pete” becomes a symbol of bureaucratic failure. Despite leading the nation's infrastructure efforts, Buttigieg is portrayed as more focused on photo ops and PR than on fixing anything tangible. 02:24:07 – Police, Public Service, and Institutional CorruptionThe “good cop vs. bad cop” debate is reframed to expose systemic corruption while recognizing that some individuals within law enforcement still try to do right. Calls are made for reform through elected sheriffs and transparency for ICE agents—even at personal risk. 02:31:16 – Trump's Armored Golf Cart: Optics of Fear and ControlTrump's reinforced golf cart, mockingly dubbed “Golf Force One,” becomes a surreal symbol of elite paranoia. Amid public unrest, the image of armored leisure underscores how far the security theater has gone—even on the putting green. 02:50:50 – McIdentity Theft: Hacking Fast Food WorkersA sarcastic take questions why anyone would hack into a database of McDonald's job applicants. The fictional “McHack” highlights how digital incompetence and overreach put even low-wage workers at risk—proof that no one is safe in the age of sloppy cybersecurity. 03:43:18 – AI for Kids Will End in DisasterElon Musk's child-friendly AI faces scathing criticism as a ticking time bomb. The concern: once jailbroken, these tools could be weaponized—psychologically or worse. Turning children over to digital systems is portrayed as reckless and morally indefensible. 03:51:44 – AI's Creeping Autonomy and Consumer AbuseA warning laced with dark humor imagines AI bots signing users up for services they never requested. Beneath the joke lies a serious concern: as AI systems gain autonomy, they're being engineered to deceive, manipulate, and override human consent. Mentoring often sounds like the perfect way to steward your time in retirement—until you try it and realize it's not as intuitive as you'd hoped. For many retirees, mentoring seems like a meaningful way to invest in the next generation—a way to put their life experience to work. But what if we've misunderstood how mentoring fits into God's design for this season of life? Jeff Haanen joins us with practical stories and spiritual insight to help us reframe it.Jeff Haanen is an accomplished entrepreneur and the founder of the Denver Institute for Faith & Work. He is the author of An Uncommon Guide to Retirement: Finding God's Purpose for the Next Season of Life and Working from the Inside Out: A Brief Guide to Inner Work That Transforms Our Outer World.Rethinking MentoringRetirement is often marketed as the reward for decades of hard work—a long-awaited season of leisure and personal fulfillment. But what if there's a deeper, richer invitation waiting for us in this chapter of life? What if retirement isn't just about what we get—but what we give?Retirement isn't the end of our calling. It's a fresh opportunity to steward our lives for God's Kingdom in powerful new ways. One of the most meaningful ways we can do that is through mentoring—especially when we reimagine it as intergenerational friendship. Many of us picture mentoring as a formal, structured relationship: scheduled coffee dates where the older offers wisdom and the younger listens. While these settings can be helpful, we've found that mentoring is most fruitful when it grows from an organic, mutual friendship.Rather than casting ourselves as sages who dispense advice, we're invited to be fellow travelers—learning, laughing, sharing, and growing together. Intergenerational friendships emphasize mutual respect, shared experiences, and spiritual growth over time. This vision of mentoring as a form of friendship has deep roots in Scripture. Jesus said to His disciples, “I no longer call you servants… I have called you friends” (John 15:15). The Apostle Paul invested in Timothy, Elijah mentored Elisha, and Naomi walked with Ruth—but in each of these relationships, we find more than just a teacher and a student. We see companions whose hearts were knit together in love and trust. In God's upside-down Kingdom, wisdom flows both ways. The older bring experience and insight; the younger bring hope, energy, and perspective. Together, we become more like Christ. What Makes Mentoring Thrive?Through our own journey and through observing others, we've seen several elements that make these relationships truly flourish:Delight in the Next Generation. Mentoring starts not with duty but with joy. When we find genuine delight in those younger than us—when we enjoy being with them, listening, and learning—we build the foundation for real connection. Affirm Before Advising. Many younger adults are uncertain about their calling or whether they have what it takes. A word of affirmation can be far more powerful than advice. Encouragement builds trust and opens the door to growth. Lead with Vulnerability. We don't need to have it all together. It's our stories of failure and God's faithfulness that often minister most deeply. Humility makes room for healing and hope. Commit for the Long Haul. There's no shortcut to transformation. Mentoring thrives when we're patient and willing to walk alongside someone over time—through victories, setbacks, and seasons of change. Ask Thoughtful Questions. Jesus often asked His disciples powerful, heart-revealing questions. We can do the same. When we help others discover truth for themselves, they take greater ownership of their journey. The local church is a natural place to start. It's one of the few places left in our culture where generations regularly gather. Maybe it's time to simply show up—to attend a young adult gathering, volunteer in youth ministry, or offer to listen and pray for someone younger. Our workplaces also offer opportunities. Even in retirement, we may still have professional wisdom worth sharing. Informal conversations, apprenticeships, or consulting can all create meaningful space for mentorship. Most importantly, we must pray. We've learned to listen—not only to our mentee but to the Holy Spirit. We ask: Lord, what do You want us to say in this moment? How can we best serve this person? Prayer is the lifeblood of all fruitful mentoring relationships. What If Retirement Looked Like This?Imagine if thousands of believers approaching retirement swapped comfort for Kingdom impact. What if instead of isolating ourselves, we stepped into churches and communities, offering our time, wisdom, and presence? We believe that mentoring may be one of the most significant contributions we can make in our later years—not only for the benefit of others, but also for our own joy and growth. As we give ourselves away, we often find our richest reward. So here's the invitation: Start showing up. Start listening. Start sharing your story. And watch what God does through friendship across generations.Help Us Equip Others to Live with PurposeRight now, more people than ever are seeking biblical wisdom to navigate their finances and their calling. Welcome to this episode of 20/20 Money! My guest on today's show is Peter Lazaroff, CFA, CFP®. Peter joins me to examine whether the much-touted tax benefits of opportunity zones (OZs) justify the risks required, or if investors are letting the “tax tail” wag the investment dog. We cover how OZs work, what the new One BBB Act means for the program's future, and practical ways optometric practice owners can decide whether rolling a large capital gain into an OZ—or into something else—really serves their overall financial plan. As a reminder, you can get all the information discussed in today's conversation by visiting our website at integratedpwm.com and clicking on the Learning Center. While there, be sure to subscribe to our monthly “planning life on purpose” newsletter that's filled with tips and ideas to help you plan your best life, on purpose. Losing a spouse changes everything, emotionally, mentally, and financially. But while grief is often discussed, the money struggles that come with it are rarely part of the conversation, or just grief in general. From paperwork and decisions to pressure and overwhelm, surviving spouses are often expected to figure it all out. In this episode, Certified Financial Planner and Air Force veteran, Daniel Kopp, talks about the financial side of grief, what widows and widowers really face after loss, the emotional weight behind every decision, and how to find stability when your world feels upside down. He shares both his personal experience and professional insights on navigating life after loss. Daniel Kopp, MA, MS, CFP ®, is a fee-only financial planner, financial therapist, and founder of Wise Stewardship Financial Planning, where he helps young widows and widowers as well as military members organize their financial lives by aligning money with their deeply-held values. He leverages his experiences as a widower and Air Force veteran to offer a deeper level of engagement and connection with his clients. He is also an XYPN and NAPFA member, as well as being a founding board member of the Military Financial Advisors Association (MFAA). Daniel's education includes his undergraduate with a BS in Economics from Purdue University with highest distinction, an MA from American Military University, a Graduate Certificate in Financial Therapy and an MS in Personal Financial Planning from Kansas State University (KSU). He has been published in the Journal of Financial Therapy for his research on working with widows dealing with money avoidance. https://milmo.co/podcast/life-after-loss For more MILMO, follow at: MILMO.co ItsMILMO on YouTube @itsmilmo on X @itsmilmo Instagram @itsmilmo LinkedIn @itsmilmo Facebook

Welcome to Class! In this foundational episode, we dive deep into why embodying abundance energy is essential in your wealth journey. If you've been stuck in scarcity, overthinking money, or feeling like financial freedom is out of reach—this episode will shift everything. As a former teacher turned money coach and energy healer, I break down the energetics of money, how scarcity holds in your nervous system, and why abundance is the energetic key to manifesting more wealth, joy, and freedom in your life. You'll learn:
We're about to enter the two months of the year when volatility begins to pick up; August and September tend to be weaker months. Markets have had a very long stretch with minimal movement. Two things to note: Markets have been above the 20-DMA for 68-days (one of the longest stretches in history). Money flows are beginning to decline, which is a sign of investor exhaustion. Sentiment and positioning are very bullish, and there has been excess speculation as the market has continued to grind higher. At this point it is reasonable to expect a short-term pullback, or at least a consolidation in the market. Hello to you listening in Gondomar, Galicia, Spain!Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Motivate Your Monday and your host, Diane Wyzga.I am often asked how to begin the next story chapter of life when there's no clear path ahead. In truth, we really don't see the path so much as we make the path while walking it.But that might be little comfort in the beginning when you're standing at the crossroads. In my experience choosing a direction and setting out with curiosity and determination - taking that first step - perhaps the one we don't want to take - is the key that opens the way ahead.Following are several visionary questions for you. Choose the one that speaks to where you are right now and invite it to walk along with you like friends on a trail: 1. What story are you meant to tell that only you living your life with your wisdom and your experiences could tell?2. Imagine you're looking back at yourself as an elder woman - content, satisfied, knowing you got it right. What would you say made it all worthwhile?3. What delighted you, intrigued you, fed your curiosity when you were younger than you are now? 4. Who were you before you learned you were supposed to worry that money doesn't grow on trees?Sometimes the most powerful questions are the ones that help us discover who we really are beneath all the "shoulds" and practical concerns. Reconnecting with your truest self after years of layered expectations and external pressures comes from trusting what you know rather than adding more information or strategies.CTA: If you're curious about how to stop trying to figure it all out and start honoring what you already know, email me at info@quartermoonstoryarts.net to arrange a free Discovery Call with me, your story doula. “Where is all the money going?” Kevin Mahn asks, and answers: AI infrastructure and aerospace & defense. He sees an opportunity in TSMC (TSM), which makes Nvidia's (NVDA) chips. He also likes data centers, energy, and plays that are related to AI-supporting industries. Overall, Kevin thinks 15% tariffs worldwide are already modeled into market – and hopefully Fed – projections. He expects two rate cuts this year and thinks the Fed should have been cutting already.======== Schwab Network ========Empowering every investor and trader, every market day.
