You need to see this before the mainstream media buries it — the Supreme Court just ruled Trump can strip deportation protections from hundreds of thousands of Haitians and Syrians. Finally, some common sense on immigration. Pat breaks down the explosive 6-3 SCOTUS decision that lets the Trump administration end Temporary Protected Status for over 350,000 Haitians and 6,000 Syrians. These so-called “temporary” programs from years ago became permanent loopholes, and the court just said enough is enough — no more activist judges blocking the law. We also cover: Joe Biden is BACK … and he's still embarrassing himself on the world stage. Gracie the Texas giraffe is found alive. Sergei Ivanov, another top Russian general, “falls to his death” — suspicious much? Thirteen Democrats just rejected socialism in a bold new pledge. Are Democrats about to lose Bill Maher's vote? Do you think ending these endless TPS protections is long overdue, or is the media right that this is cruel? And what's your biggest frustration with our broken immigration system right now? Pat reads every comment personally, so drop your thoughts below — he loves hearing from real Americans who get it. John welcomes Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen to discuss the increasingly deep fault line among Democrats over U.S. policy towards Israel. Van Hollen, who published a recent New York Times op-ed about why his party must abandon its “reflexive and unconditional” support for Israel, argues that Joe Biden's handling of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict was a stain on his foreign policy record; that Democratic presidential contenders who voted to fund Bibi Netanyahu's war on Gaza will pay a steep political price; and that Democratic foreign policy hands who “refuse to acknowledge their complicity” in what he sees as a genocidal campaign should have no role in future Democratic administrations. - The episode opens with outrage over blue-state leaders refusing to fully join the America 250 celebration, framing it as another sign that parts of the Democratic leadership no longer want to celebrate the country at all. - A major focus is the Democratic Party's new anti-Israel litmus test, with Dan Goldman, Scott Wiener, Chuck Schumer, and Joe Biden all used as examples of figures now getting booed, heckled, or purged for not going far enough against Israel. - The show argues that Zohran Mamdani's New York victory is not an isolated upset but proof that socialists, Islamists, and anti-Israel activists now drive Democratic energy in major cities and primaries. - Phil Mickelson becomes a late-show target after a bombshell report paints him as a reckless, predatory fraud, blowing up the longtime public image of a loyal family man and threatening to permanently stain his golf legacy. - The episode spotlights the World Cup as another cultural fault line, mocking ESPN for calling Iran's scoreless exit a “remarkable” run while arguing that global fans are embracing America far more enthusiastically than the U.S. left is. President Donald Trump has taken an increasingly personal role in the government's clemency process, wielding pardons aid his allies and advance his own political grievances.A Reuters investigation found that 96% of Trump's second-term clemency grants have gone to recipients who didn't fulfill longstanding DOJ guidelines for such requests. Past presidents on have sidestepped those rules before, but fewer than 1% of those who received clemency during the Biden administration and just 14% of recipients in Trump's first presidency failed to meet the guidelines.Pardon applicants once had to comply with longstanding DOJ guidelines, such as a five-year wait after conviction or demonstrated remorse for their crimes. But a Reuters' analysis shows that under Trump, clemency now is far more dependent upon access to his inner circle. They also found that “access is enhanced when an applicant can craft a narrative that resonates with the president's own sense of victimization.”During his first administration, Trump granted just 238 pardons and commutations, most of which came amid his frantic final days in office. But this term the White House has made clemencies a key part of its agenda. As part of our weekly series “If You Can Keep it,” we discuss pardons in the second Trump Administration.Find more of our programs online. Astrologers Chris Brennan and Patrick Watson explore the ancient timing technique known as Babylonian goal year periods, which can be used to identify repeating transits and events over very long spans of time. Recovered from the astronomical diaries of Mesopotamian sky watchers in the first millennium BCE, these periods demonstrate how the visible planets repeat their exact zodiacal placements and phase relationships with the Sun over predictable intervals. Our discussion breaks down the math behind these synodic cycles and highlights how repetition is the ultimate key to prediction in both mundane and natal astrology. By examining compelling historical case studies for each of the traditional planets, from the 1929 Wall Street Crash to major breakthroughs in modern communication technology, we show how tracking these ancient cycles allows astrologers to identify profound historical recurrences and project future events with stunning accuracy. As so many World Cup fans are discovering ranch dressing and enjoying their visits to the U.S., the Supreme Court left a very different message for people who come to the U.S. for safety and protection: leave. In two 6-3 decisions today, the Supreme Court ruled that the Trump Administration can block asylum seekers at the border and withdraw deportation protections from immigrants fleeing violence and war in their home countries. For more on how the Court's decisions will shape future U.S. immigration policy, we spoke to Andrea Flores. She's a former Homeland Security official under Presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden, and the founder of Securing America's Promise, a pro-immigration newsletter. And in headlines, the White House formally requests $87.6 billion mostly to replenish the Pentagon , what the U.S. is doing to help after deadly earthquakes in Venezuela, and a new AP-NORC survey says most Americans are inundated with scam attempts on a daily basis. It's Thursday, June 25th, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark and Adam McManus Cuban Communists keep sick Protestant pastor imprisoned Christian Solidarity Worldwide reports a Protestant pastor remains in prison in Cuba amid concerns for his health. Pastor Alexis Padrón Lorenzo leads the Communion in Faith Church in Havana. Authorities detained him on June 10, physically abused him during interrogation, and blocked family members from contacting him. This happened after Lorenzo expressed opposition to the country's communist system. Please pray for our persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ in Cuba. The country is ranked 24th on the Open Doors World Watch List of the most oppressive countries worldwide for Christians. Write a polite, 2-sentence note of objection to Cuba's top diplomat: Lianys Torres Rivera, Cuban Consulate, 2639 16th Street NW, Washington DC, 20009. Rubio urges new Columbian president to end illegal immigration to U.S. As The Worldview reported on June 23rd, the citizens of the South American country of Colombia narrowly elected conservative Abelardo De La Espriella, who was Trump-endorsed, over left-wing candidate Iván Cepeda. De La Espriella promised a crackdown on crime. g the election, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio posted, “The Trump Administration looks forward to working closely with your incoming administration to advance regional security cooperation, end illegal immigration to the United States, and strengthen our economic ties.” Daniel 2:21 reminds us that God “changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings.” Biden's illegal immigration drove up housing costs In the United States, a recent report from the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas found illegal migration under the Biden administration drove up housing costs. The report estimates that unauthorized immigrant worker flows explain about 30% of the total growth in house prices and 20% of total growth in rents. Listen to comments last year by Vice President J.D. Vance on the subject. VANCE: “When we talk about housing and why costs are so high, we don't talk enough about demand. One of the drivers of increased housing demand, we know, is that we've got a lot of people over the last four years who have come into the country illegally.” Four years since Roe v. Wade overturned: Pro-life laws in 19 states Four years ago, on June 24, 2022, the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. The ruling said the U.S. Constitution does not include a right to abortion. It also handed regulation of abortion to individual states. Since then, 19 states have passed anti-abortion laws. Thirteen states ban abortions in most cases. Four states ban abortions at 6 weeks of pregnancy. And two states ban them at 12 weeks. Trump ends sexually explicit school teen programs The Daily Signal reports that the Trump administration will cut funding to many teenage pregnancy prevention programs in schools this week. The Department of Health and Human Services reviewed Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program grants. It decided to terminate most of them, ending $67 million in grants. The administration described the grants from the Biden-era as “medically inaccurate,” “age-inappropriate,” and “sexually explicit.” U.S., Mexico, & Canada Bible societies share Christ during World Cup Bible societies are using the 2026 World Soccer Cup to engage millions of fans with Scripture. The United States, Canada, and Mexico are hosting the event. So, the American Bible Society, the Mexican Bible Society, and the Canadian Bible Society are promoting Bibles, devotionals, and evangelistic booklets. Christian Daily International notes, “These efforts reflect a broader trend among Bible societies worldwide. As major global events attract billions of viewers, organizations are increasingly developing resources that connect Scripture with cultural moments and reach people who may not normally engage with churches or religious programs.” For example, Living Waters, founded by Evangelist Ray Comfort, has printed 2 million copies of the 2026 World Cup million-dollar bill tract available for free when you cover the shipping. The issue arose after three San Francisco Giants players added Bible verses to the Rainbow Homosexual Pride caps which they were initially required to wear. Republican Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri posted a letter from the Commissioner of Major League Baseball. Hawley wrote, “The Major Leage Baseball Commissioner writes to me and admits they were wrong to threaten the Giants players over Bible verses and promises never to fine or discipline these players -- or any players for their religious beliefs.” Several San Francisco Giants Christian pitchers — Landen Roupp, Ryan Walker, and J.T. Brubaker — referenced Genesis chapter 9 on their hats about the true meaning of the rainbow. In verses 14 and 15, God said, “It shall be, when I bring a cloud over the Earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud; and I will remember My covenant which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh.” Landon Roup was asked about his hand-written Scripture on his cap at a press conference. ROUP: “God's covenant, and a promise that He makes to us, that His faithfulness and His mercy. It's kind of something I believe in. I stand firm in that.” Amusingly, Cyd Ziegler, the homosexual co-founder of OutSports, was enraged by the Scripture the Christian pitchers had added to the hats. ZIEGLER: “It defaced the Pride Rainbow with a Bible verse telling the LGBT community that they do not own the rainbow, that God owns the rainbow.” Mr. Ziegler, I've got news for you. God does own the rainbow! Send a two-sentence thank you note to Robert Manfred, Major League Baseball Commissioner, 1271 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY 10020. And send a 2-sentence thank you note to Landen Roupp for his Christian witness and outspokeness. San Francisco Giants, Oracle Park. 24 Willie Mays Plaza, San Francisco, CA 94107. So here we are again, staring at the political scoreboard like it's a football game where one team keeps showing up with less than half their player, but still swears they're the team to beat.Let's start with the question floating around the room like a smoke alarm nobody wants to admit is real. Who's more motivated to vote? Democrats or Republicans?Because if you listen to the data chatter being passed around, Democrats allegedly lost something like 2.1 million voters during the Biden years while Republicans picked up ground. Now, whether you treat that like gospel or just political weather patterns, the narrative being built is clear: one side looks like it's tightening its boots and heading to the polls with purpose, while the other looks like it's misplacing its keys and calling it “a coalition strategy.”And motivation matters. Voting isn't a philosophy exam. It's a turnout machine. It's who shows up when the coffee is bad, the weather is worse, and the ballot line is longer than a TSA checkpoint in August.Republicans, right now, are being portrayed as the side that treats elections like a pit stop in a NASCAR race. Quick in, decisive, loud, and slightly suspicious of anything that looks like it might slow them down.Democrats? They're often described, fairly or unfairly, as the side that needs a three-part documentary, a focus group, and a mood board just to decide whether they're energized. Now layer in the political earthquakes people are talking about. There's the narrative of Trump tightening influence inside the GOP, where endorsements feel less like suggestions and more like gravitational fields. Even Republicans who used to treat him like a weather system they could ignore are now adjusting their calendars around his forecast. And depending on who you ask, there's talk of foreign policy wins being reinterpreted through wildly different lenses. Some say decisive strength, others say dangerous theater. Either way, the temperature rises, and everyone argues about who actually owns the thermostat.Inside the GOP, you've got the usual tension between establishment instincts and populist momentum, and the establishment is starting to look like it keeps showing up to a mosh pit wearing a necktie asking for quieter music.Meanwhile Democrats are dealing with a different kind of pressure. Border policy debates, crime narratives in major cities, inflation hangovers that still echo in grocery aisles, and constant arguments about messaging that somehow always ends in the phrase “we need better communication,” which is political code for “nobody agrees on what we're saying but we all agree it didn't work.”Then comes the fundraising ecosystem debates, where critics and defenders of major platforms like ActBlue get dragged into arguments about transparency, influence, and whether modern fundraising is a digital democracy engine or a high-speed blender for political cash. Everyone claims the moral high ground, and nobody trusts the terrain. So you end up with two parties telling two completely different stories about enthusiasm. One side says: “We are consolidating, energized, and expanding.”The other side says: “We are evolving, diverse, and structurally misunderstood.”And the voters? They're somewhere in the middle, wondering why every election feels like it was designed by two rival improv troupes who refuse to acknowledge the other is on stage. Here's the irony that keeps slipping through the cracks. If one side is really losing millions of voters, and the other is gaining, then motivation isn't just a talking point. It's the whole engine. Because elections don't care about speeches. They care about who shows up when nobody feels like showing up.And that's where this gets interesting. Because if the enthusiasm gap is real, it doesn't just shape elections. It reshapes strategy, messaging, and maybe even what “base” means in the first place. So the question becomes less about who is right, and more about who is willing to walk through the rain, stand in line, and treat voting like it's not optional entertainment. And that brings us to the real tension for tonight. If one party is gaining motivated voters and the other is allegedly shedding them, is this a temporary swing… or a long-term identity shift in American politics?Or put differently:Are we watching political momentum… or political erosion? And if voters are truly shifting this dramatically, what does that say about the issues nobody in Washington wants to admit are driving it?Call me on this one: Is turnout becoming the only poll that actually matters anymore? And if so, which party do you believe shows up more reliably when it counts? And finally, is the enthusiasm gap real… or just the most expensive illusion in modern politics?See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
On Tuesday's Mark Levin Show, Ben Ferguson fills in for Mark. Democratic Texas Senate candidate James Talarico presents himself as a moderate, faith-based Christian pastor who rejects Christian nationalism. Talarico is actually a radical progressive activist who weaponizes Christianity for left-wing politics. Talarico's radical positions - God is non-binary, there are more than two biological sexes, the Bible affirms abortion access, and poverty/pollution/prison equal violence. This man is not fit for the Senate. Later, President Trump selected Kash Patel to combat waste, fraud, and abuse, is proving to be an excellent choice as evidenced by a record-setting $6.5 billion healthcare fraud crackdown charging around 450 defendants, primarily in Medicaid and hospice schemes. Officials emphasized unprecedented state-federal cooperation across 45 states and attorneys general, building complete case files for swift law enforcement action—the first such unified effort in modern history. Afterward ,a Biden-appointed federal judge issued a 75-page opinion shutting down the Trump administration's modified SAVE system database, created via executive order to verify citizenship or immigration status of registered voters through DHS and SSA records. This activist decision promotes lawlessness and voter fraud by blocking checks on non-citizens, dead people, and illegal immigrants, especially ahead of midterms. The same judge also blocked an FTC antitrust probe into Media Matters and barred deportation of unaccompanied migrant minors for family reunification abroad. Meanwhile, Senator Mike Lee advances the SAVE America Act, requiring government-issued ID to vote—supported by over 80% of Americans across parties to make voting easy but cheating hard—though four anti-Trump Republicans hinder it in the Senate, where Trump is pushing for passage. Donald Trump's anger at the media over his Iran fiasco is mounting. He snapped at a reporter for noting that Americans might not support spending $80 billion more on the war, as the Pentagon has requested. Trump even dubiously claimed the public would gladly support this. Then, at a rally, Trump seethed at the media for not being worshipful of his handling of the Iran talks. He also nonsensically suggested he's solved the nuclear issue entirely. Trump is under immense pressure to show results: In a devastating segment, a Fox News anchor pointed to a new poll showing Trump's approval on the economy at 33 percent. Then the anchor said this is lower than Joe Biden ever was at his absolute worst point, the most cutting piece of news Fox could have delivered. We talked to international relations expert Nicholas Grossman. We discuss his new piece explaining why time is not on Trump's side in these talks, how all this is breaking up the Trump coalition in new ways, and what a disaster it could prove for JD Vance's coming presidential run. In this episode a group of students and patrons join me to reflect on the recent Venus-Jupiter conjunction in Cancer, and to share stories of how it manifested in our lives based on which of the twelve houses it was transiting in their birth charts. The episode opens with a brief introduction where I talk about the importance of taking into account both the entire range of the sign-based conjunction or copresence between Venus and Jupiter, which lasted from May 18 until June 13, as well as the more intense range of the degree-based conjunction which went exact on June 9. After that I interview several people about their experience of the conjunction, looking at how it functioned in various houses alongside examples of notable public figures who also experienced this transit. Gavin Newsom and his wife are currently under investigation by the Department of Justice in a serious state fund scandal. Allegedly, Newsom transferred millions to charities operated by his wife, creating an obvious conflict of interest and funding Left-wing organizations that keep the Newsoms in power. While Newsom claims the investigation by Trump's DOJ is law-fare, the real law-fare may have occurred during Joe Biden's presidency. “Now there's no cover, no exemption and now you're going to face scrutiny.”

“There has not been a bigger government scandal during my lifetime,” says Senator Ron Johnson, “and yet even now that we have documented proof of corruption, most of the legacy media refuses to report on it.” In the release of his new Senate report, Sen. Johnson says he found evidence that federal health officials knew about COVID-19 vaccine safety signals in 2021 but “purposely” hid them. Sen. Johnson, Chairman of the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, alleges that in March 2021, FDA officials were briefed that their VAERS analysis algorithm would mask vaccine adverse event signals. Twenty-six days later, an updated algorithm showed 25 safety signals, including sudden cardiac death, pulmonary infarction, and Bell's palsy. Johnson says officials ordered the analyst to “cease and desist” and told the public adverse events were “rare and mild.” Brianne Dressen, who recently met with Senator Johnson in DC, joins to discuss the severe symptoms she developed after being in one of the first US AstraZeneca trials in 2020. She is calling for a new investigation into the abandonment of the COVID-19 vaccine injured. Batya Ungar-Sargon, Newsweek opinion editor and host of “Batya!” on NewsNation, asks if going to war with Iran was worth it. Psychotherapist Jonathan Alpert, author of “Therapy Nation”, argues America has grown over-reliant on therapy culture as mental health ratings hit record lows. Brianne Dressen is Co-founder of React19. A game-changing victory at the border that the mainstream media is completely trying to ignore!
In a stunning political move this week, President Donald Trump cancelled a planned ceremonial signing of a major bipartisan housing affordability bill at the Capitol. The bill, which passed both chambers of Congress by overwhelming margins, would have addressed critical housing affordability challenges facing Americans.Trump is using the bill as leverage to force lawmakers to pass his proposed "SAVE AMERICA ACT," which would implement a radical overhaul of voting procedures. In a post on Truth Social, Trump declared the housing news conference and signing cancelled "until such time as we pass the desperately needed SAVE AMERICA ACT, which I consider to be a National Emergency."There has also been a significant legal setback for the Trump administration's immigration enforcement agenda comes from the ruling of a federal judge. U.S. District Judge P. Casey Potts ruled that ICE agents can no longer conduct arrests at immigration courthouses across the country. Judge Pitts, a Biden appointee, vacated the Trump administration's policies that were implemented via executive order last year, determining that the Department of Justice failed to provide adequate legal justification for the enforcement tactics. He called them "arbitrary and capricious," and said the Trump administration did not properly consider how arresting noncitizens at courthouses would impact people pursuing lawful immigration status. Canadian political strategist, attorney and best-selling author Warren Kinsella described a highly organized, well-funded international effort to spread antisemitic propaganda and delegitimize Israel in the wake of the Oct. 7 Hamas massacre, during a recent interview with Alan Skorski. Kinsella, whose new book “The Hidden Hand: The Information War And The Rise Of Antisemitic Propaganda” is a national best-seller, pointed to the rapid emergence of 2,500 protests worldwide — even as Israel was still identifying its dead, injured and kidnapped — as evidence that the demonstrations were not organic expressions of outrage but part of a premeditated campaign. “The sameness in the protests with the same slogans and messages, even if in different languages, the professional signs, and their acting in a way that was almost with military precision,” Kinsella said. He cited toolkits distributed by groups like Students for Justice in Palestine that instructed participants on whom to call if arrested and assured them that legal expenses would be covered. “It was the organization, money, and coherence that you just don't see in an organic spontaneous response to an event. It was clear that this was a ‘campaign,'” he added. Kinsella traced elements of the strategy back decades, referencing a 1993 meeting between American Jewish activist Gary Wexler and Israeli-Arab NGO leader Ameer Makhoul around the time of the Oslo Accords. According to Kinsella, Makhoul told Wexler that Palestinians would mirror and surpass Zionist campus activism, summer programs in refugee camps, global organizations and PR efforts — ultimately securing more media coverage. “They watched Jewish activism for decades, including programs like Birthright, and created their own infrastructure to dominate an information war against Israel,” Kinsella said. The author emphasized that young people have been prime targets of Hamas and its allies in Iran, Russia and Qatar. He cited a Harris poll showing that 70% of young Americans were more sympathetic to Hamas than to Israel following the Oct. 7 atrocities. Kinsella highlighted Hamas's “binary communication strategy,” noting the terror group's ability to livestream its horrors for recruitment among Arab and Muslim audiences while simultaneously denying responsibility for the massacre and blaming Israel to Western audiences. On the political front, Kinsella wrote that activists understand city councils do not set foreign policy but serve as “pillars and building blocks” that can influence higher offices and ultimately shape federal policy. He rejected claims that criticism of Israel is merely about policy, stating the campaign is rooted in antisemitism. Kinsella also debunked the blood libel accusing Israel of “genocide” in Gaza, describing Hamas as experts at provoking Israeli responses that produce civilian casualties for propaganda purposes. A prime example of media bias cited in the book occurred during President Joe Biden's visit to Israel in solidarity after Oct. 7. A rocket struck a Gaza hospital that day, prompting immediate headlines from The New York Times and other outlets accusing Israel of bombing the facility and killing hundreds. The story was later corrected — the hospital was barely damaged, casualties were minimal, and Palestinian Islamic Jihad was responsible — but the damage had already been done globally. Kinsella recently visited Israel for the premiere of his upcoming documentary “The Campaign,” based on the book, which examines the effort to delegitimize Israel, threaten Jewish communities worldwide and undermine Western democracy. “First they come for the Saturday people, then they come for the Sunday people,” Kinsella warned. -VIN News Watch the Interview on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FARX18QRslI&t=14s Watch the Trailer for Waren Kinsella's upcoming documentary, The Campaign: https://www.campaigndoc.com/ Alan Skorski Reports 24JUNE2026 - PODCAST

On Monday's Mark Levin Show, Ben Ferguson fills in for Mark. America must prevail in the ongoing global AI race to prevent China from dominating and using AI to subtly spread propaganda on issues like taxes, censorship, drugs, abortion, and socialism, potentially shaping generations. News Guard is a pro-censorship group hostile to conservatives that blacklists right-leaning outlets, while rating Chinese Communist Party state media like China Daily as far more reliable than conservative sources. By licensing its biased ratings for AI training and supervised learning, News Guard aims to steer AI toward leftist-approved information and suppress conservative viewpoints, amplifying radical propaganda risks if America loses control of AI development. Also, the FBI, under Director Kash Patel, is actively fulfilling President Trump's campaign promise to combat waste, fraud, and abuse while draining the swamp by targeting criminals. The agency has conducted violent crime operations resulting in numerous arrests, illegal firearm seizures, and drug takedowns, alongside sentencing child predators. This marks a shift from prior administrations' use of the FBI for political censorship, to now focusing on real crimes. Meanwhile, Gov Gavin Newsom is a prime example of entrenched corruption. There's a DOJ investigation into Newsom and his wife Jennifer's finances, nonprofit ties, taxes, and business dealings. Newsom might prioritize avoiding jail over a 2028 presidential run, while DOJ is following the money. Later, a Biden-appointed federal judge in D.C., blocked the Trump administration from using a program to verify citizenship and more quickly remove foreign nationals from state voter rolls. The ruling is activist judicial interference that prioritizes illegal aliens over the law requiring elections to be reserved exclusively for American citizens, enabling voter fraud as part of a Democratic open-border strategy to flood the country with illegal immigrants, secure their votes through benefits, and fundamentally transform America. Finally, despite Iranian threats and a Saturday proclamation closing the Strait of Hormuz in response to Israel's actions against Hezbollah, tankers continue moving through the waterway. CENTCOM stated Iran does not control the strait, confirmed ongoing traffic with 55 merchant ships transiting and over 17 million barrels of oil reaching global markets, lowered the risk advisory to moderate, and affirmed U.S. forces are monitoring to ensure agreement compliance. That sounds creepier than it is, but it IS pathetic to watch congressman Ro Khanna desperately try to goad Elon Musk into paying attention to him by alleging the deaths of millions of kids are on Elon's hands. The former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton sat down with David Remnick at the 92nd Street Y, in New York, on Monday evening, after the Trump Administration announced a memorandum of understanding to end its war in Iran. Remnick asked whether the United States lost this war. “Yes,” Clinton replied. “The United States has come out weaker. Iran has come out stronger.” According to Clinton, Israel repeatedly tried to pressure the Obama Administration into backing a similar action in Iran, but she didn't take the bait. “They would say things like ‘Our planes are on the tarmac,' ” Clinton recalled. “And I'd say, ‘Well, good luck. Great. Why are you doing this?' ” They also discuss Joe Biden's decision to run for a second term, and its fateful consequences. “He made a terrible mistake,” she said. Had Biden stayed with his plan of serving for one term, “I believe whoever emerged . . . would have beaten Donald Trump.” Further reading and listening: “Hillary Clinton on the Psychology of Autocrats,” an episode of The Political Scene “Hillary Clinton Explains What Happened,” an episode of The New Yorker Radio Hour “The Broadway Life of Hillary Clinton,” by Michael Schulman “Curtis Sittenfeld's ‘Rodham' Offers the Catharsis of Uncomplicated Regret,” by Nora Caplan-Bricker The Political Scene draws on the reporting and analysis found in The New Yorker for lively conversations about the big questions in American politics. Iran's Strait closure, the Fauci files, JD Vance in Switzerland, and a forfeited pride night headline today's A.M. Update. Iran announces another closure of the Strait of Hormuz over the weekend, citing continued fighting in southern Lebanon, even as JD Vance meets face to face with Iranian officials including President Masoud Pezeshkian's delegation in Switzerland to hammer out the technical details of last week's memorandum of understanding. Trump tells Axios that Netanyahu owes his job to Trump's restraint and admits he has to keep him "a little bit sane," and Aaron prays for fewer casualties as the whole situation continues to look messy. Outgoing DNI Tulsi Gabbard releases a trove of documents showing Dr. Anthony Fauci briefed CIA officials in 2021 on Wuhan gain-of-function research weeks after denying funding it under oath, and says she believes a path to prosecution still exists despite his Biden-era pardon. Pennsylvania's York Revolution forfeits its own pride night game and throws several of its players under the bus in a public statement after they refused to wear rainbow-themed jerseys, a story Aaron says is even better than last week's Giants scripture-hat saga. JD Vance also goes deep on the abolitionist versus incrementalist divide inside the pro-life movement on Allie Beth Stuckey's podcast, and Aaron closes with the rabbit hole he fell into this weekend chasing a mysterious tower on the Iowa horizon: a Cold War-era AT&T Long Lines microwave relay station.
