Utah prosecutors have charged 22-year-old Tyler Robinson with aggravated murder in the shooting of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk. The charges include obstruction of justice, witness tampering, and multiple firearm offenses. According to the affidavit, Robinson confessed to both his roommate — with whom he was in a romantic relationship — and his father. Investigators say Robinson admitted that the motive was political. He told his roommate that “some hate cannot be negotiated” and accused Kirk of “spreading hatred.”Prosecutors allege that Robinson carved antifascist slogans into the bullet casings used in the shooting. They say he left behind clothes and a backpack at the scene, both of which tested positive for his DNA. A bolt-action rifle was found nearby. Surveillance footage and Discord messages allegedly link Robinson to planning the attack, though he has not spoken directly to police. His roommate, someone transitioning from male to female who has not been publicly identified, is cooperating with investigators.Politics Politics Politics is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber. Also at the scene was a second man, George Zinn, who approached police with a knife and told them to shoot him. Zinn allegedly said he had been trying to help Robinson escape. He has not been charged in the shooting, but prosecutors say he was found with child pornography. The two men were not known to each other before that day. This case does not follow the familiar patterns of mental instability or mass shooting chaos. Prosecutors have outlined what they describe as a deliberate, targeted act with ideological motivation. Robinson allegedly stated that he believed the shooting would be “the only way” to stop Kirk. The firearm used was a bolt-action rifle, which indicates planning rather than impulsivity.Governor Spencer Cox, in his television appearances, struck a more composed tone than in his initial press conference. That earlier moment felt like a political speech. Over the weekend, however, he appeared more focused on unity and de-escalation. That stands in contrast to Trump, whose responses were angrier and more inflammatory. The White House has not issued a formal statement, but administration officials have been briefed. One of the major talking points emerging in political media is whether this attack fits into a broader pattern. Names like Paul Pelosi and Ashli Babbitt have been floated — but what happened here is categorically different. The suspect allegedly had a motive, a plan, and a clear ideological framework. This was not senseless. According to prosecutors, it was intentional and politically driven. It's still early, and these are only allegations. But the details laid out so far paint a clear picture: a targeted political killing, carried out in public, with motive stated directly. That's rare. And it's something we'll be forced to grapple with as the trial unfolds.Chapters00:00:00 - Intro00:02:15 - Charlie Kirk Suspect Arrested00:09:53 - Interview with Karol Markowicz00:53:28 - Update00:54:01 - Pam Bondi Hate Speech00:57:39 - Epstein01:00:15 - Hakeem Jeffries and Zohran Mamdani01:02:53 - Interview with Ryan McBeth01:52:45 - Wrap-up This is a public episode. 22-year-old Tyler Robinson has been charged with aggravated murder in the fatal shooting of far-right extremist Charlie Kirk. Utah prosecutors say they will seek the death penalty. Court filings allege Robinson planned the attack for more than a week, confessed in text messages to his roommate, and left DNA on the rifle believed to be the murder weapon. Investigators also say his mother identified him in photos released by police. Robinson remains held without bail and is expected to make his first court appearance via video. It's Wednesday, September 17th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Muslims in Congo killed 26 Christians at funeral Islamic extremists killed 26 Christians who were attending a funeral last Monday in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. These attacks continued for two more days. Rev. Mbula Samaki told Open Doors, “The casualty as of now stands at more than 70 Christians killed, at least 100 kidnapped, 16 houses, eight motorbikes and two vehicles burnt. It is horrible.” Islamic extremists are continuing to target churches in the Christian-majority country to displace Christian communities. Please pray for our persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ in Congo. The central African nation is ranked 35th on the Open Doors World Watch List of the most difficult countries to be a Christian. Canadian court affirms Christian soldier who refused COVID shot In Canada, a federal labor board ruled in favor of a Christian military member who refused a COVID-19 shot on religious grounds. Canada's Department of National Defense denied Marvin Castillo a religious exemption from the COVID shot. He was subsequently fired from his job in 2021. In a landmark decision, Canada's Public Sector Labor Relations and Employment Board ruled against the Department of National Defense. The decision stated, “[Castillo] was entitled to an exemption because he has a sincere religious belief that he should not receive the vaccine.” Castillo referenced 1 Corinthians 6:19 to defend the decision he made about what to put into his body. The verse says, “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?” Trump targets another Venezuelan narco-terrorist boat The United States military targeted another drug boat from Venezuela on Monday. The strike killed three people on board the vessel. On Truth Social, President Donald Trump wrote, “The Strike occurred while these confirmed narco-terrorists from Venezuela were in International Waters transporting illegal narcotics headed to the U.S. (A DEADLY WEAPON POISONING AMERICANS!) These extremely violent drug trafficking cartels POSE A THREAT to U.S. National Security, Foreign Policy, and vital U.S. Interests.” The United States carried out a similar strike on a boat carrying drugs from Venezuela two weeks ago. Court greenlights Trump defunding Planned Parenthood Last Thursday, a federal appeals court ruled that the Trump administration can defund Planned Parenthood. The case involves a provision in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act which barred Medicaid funds from going to abortion mills. A district court blocked the provision back in July. The latest ruling overturns that preliminary injunction. Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue, commented, “Planned Parenthood is quickly running out of friends in high and dark places, and we praise God for it. Over 40 Planned Parenthoods have already closed – we expect that number to grow over the coming weeks, and we'll celebrate every one.” Gen Z men support Trump; Gen Z women supported Kamala NBC News released a new poll on U.S. adults ages 18 to 29. The survey found Gen Z men who voted for President Trump said having children was the most important indicator of success. Being married was also a top indictor. Meanwhile, Gen Z women who voted for Kamala Harris listed being married and having children near the bottom of their indicators of success. Instead, career fulfillment and having plenty of money were the most important. Young men who backed Harris and young women who backed President Trump similarly prioritized money and career over children and family. Kirk's killer: “I had the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk and I'm going to take it.” Officials in Utah charged Tyler Robinson with aggravated murder yesterday. The 22-year-old is accused of assassinating conservative activist Charlie Kirk while he was speaking with students at Utah Valley University last Wednesday. Authorities said Robinson left DNA on the trigger of the rifle used to fire the deadly shot. He also left a note for his transgender partner hidden under a keyboard that said, “I had the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk and I'm going to take it.” Utah County Attorney Jeff Gray announced the charges. He said, “The murder of Charlie Kirk is an American tragedy.” After listing the charges against Robinson, Gray added this.f GRAY: “I am filing a notice of intent to seek the death penalty.” Waves of people returned to church after Charlie Kirk's assassination And finally, Faithwire reports waves of people returned to church over the weekend after the death of Charlie Kirk. Kirk was an outspoken Christian. He told Deseret News earlier this year that his goal was to point people “toward ultimate purposes and toward getting back to the church, getting back to faith.” Hundreds of people posted about their return to church over the weekend after being inspired by Kirk's faith. Listen to the testimony of one young mother of three about the decision that she and her husband made. YOUNG MOTHER: “After the events of the last week, Devin and I had a lot of talking about the type of life that we want for ourselves and how we want our boys to be. We talked about Charlie Kirk. We talked about a man of God who was not afraid to stand in his convictions in anything. “We are raising three boys that will one day be men, and we want those boys to be as strong in their convictions as Charlie Kirk was. And we realized we had been doing a great disservice by not taking them to church and introducing them to faith up until this point. It is because of Charlie Kirk that we went to church today.” Isaiah 55:6-7 says, “Seek the LORD while He may be found. Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts. Let him return to the LORD, and He will have mercy on him. Let them turn to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Wednesday, September 17th, in the year of our Lord 2025. Warning Signs Ignored:The suspect allegedly showed multiple warning signs before the shooting, including becoming more political, distancing himself from coworkers during political discussions, and openly expressing intentions to harm Charlie Kirk. Friends, family, and even coworkers reportedly noticed this but may not have taken it seriously. The Shooting & Evidence:After firing the fatal shot, video footage shows the suspect escaping by jumping off a building. Investigators recovered forensic evidence from the scene, including DNA on a towel wrapped around the firearm, a screwdriver, and potentially on the rifle itself. These DNA samples matched the suspect, confirming his involvement. The Note & Motive:A note was reportedly left by the suspect, stating he had the opportunity to kill Kirk and intended to take it. Though the note was destroyed, forensic traces and interviews confirmed its existence and content. The motive is tied to political ideology, which investigators say "infected him and had taken over." Investigation Challenges:Law enforcement officials emphasized the need to determine whether people in the suspect’s circle knew about his intentions and ignored them, or dismissed them as jokes. Accountability for those who failed to act is being considered. Political & Legal Dimensions:The Utah governor, Spencer Cox, noted that the suspect had clear left-leaning political beliefs and expressed dislike for Kirk. The confirmation of forensic evidence and DNA ties the suspect directly to the crime, opening the possibility of the death penalty. Praise for Law Enforcement:The document also contains praise for the FBI, local authorities, and figures like Dan Bongino, Kash Patel, and Donald Trump for their roles in handling the case. In this episode of The Wright Report, we cover Trump's investigation into the groups behind Charlie Kirk's assassination, a second Venezuelan drug boat sunk by U.S. forces, the White House deal on TikTok, Trump's push to revive America's mining industry, and listener questions on Ilhan Omar, socialism, and whether the U.S. should split in two. From Marxist activists in Utah to uranium mines in Wyoming, today's brief connects the fights over America's culture, security, and survival. Trump Investigates Groups Behind Charlie Kirk's Assassination: The FBI is probing ties between shooter Tyler Robinson and radical groups including Armed Queers Salt Lake City, trans activists, Marxists, online gamers, and even the “Furries.” VP JD Vance vowed to dismantle institutions like the Soros Open Society and Ford Foundation if found complicit, urging Americans: “When you see someone celebrating Charlie's murder, call them out. And call their employer.” Bryan warns that Marxist Queer Theory's strategy is to radicalize youth, break families, and build a socialist revolution. U.S. Sinks Second Venezuelan Drug Boat: Trump confirmed the Navy destroyed another cartel vessel, killing three traffickers and scattering cocaine and fentanyl across the sea. “BE WARNED — IF YOU ARE TRANSPORTING DRUGS THAT CAN KILL AMERICANS, WE ARE HUNTING YOU!” he declared. Behind the scenes, Trump's CIA is quietly working with vetted Mexican Navy and Army units to target cartel leaders, leaving Mexico's president to deny cooperation in public while relying on U.S. intelligence in private. TikTok Deal With China Raises Concerns: The White House reached a framework deal to keep TikTok running under new U.S. ownership, but China secured concessions on investment barriers and trade. Trump's team insists Beijing needs the deal more, as China's economy just suffered its worst month of the year. Bryan warns, “This President likes to make deals with Beijing… I'm nervous.” Trump Builds Uranium Reserve to End Dependence on Russia: Energy Secretary Chris Wright announced a plan to stockpile uranium for America's 94 nuclear reactors, as Russia still supplies 25 percent of U.S. needs. The administration will repurpose $2 billion in Biden-era funds for critical minerals, including $500 million in cobalt and new reserves of bismuth, a metal once sold off by Bill Clinton. Bryan calls the Mineral Wars “one of Trump's most important legacies” if successful. Listener Questions — Ilhan Omar, Socialism, and National Divorce: Bryan tells Nichole from Maryland that Omar should face a DNA test with her alleged brother, and if confirmed, be “denaturalized and deported on Air Pinochet.” Robert from Virginia flagged new polling showing Democrats prefer socialism, which Bryan calls “dense and dangerous.” And Morris from the Ozarks asked about national divorce, but Bryan warns partition would collapse America into chaos: “This is our country. We will either defend and reclaim it, or we will fall trying — just like Charlie did.” "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." - John 8:32 Keywords: Charlie Kirk assassination Armed Queers Salt Lake City, Tyler Robinson shooter investigation, JD Vance Soros Ford Foundation quote, Queer Theory Marxism youth radicalization, Trump Navy sinks Venezuelan drug boat, CIA Mexico cartel targeting, Trump TikTok China deal, China economic slowdown August 2025, Trump uranium reserve Chris Wright, U.S. cobalt bismuth mineral wars, Ilhan Omar DNA brother marriage fraud, Democrat socialism poll Data for Progress, Marjorie Taylor Greene national divorce

Great white shark DNA is one of the most puzzling mysteries in marine biology. Recent research has revealed that despite being one species, great whites have split into three distinct genetic groups across the globe. What's even stranger: their nuclear DNA and mitochondrial DNA tell conflicting stories, leaving scientists scratching their heads. Shark philopatry—the tendency of females to return to their birthplace to give birth—adds another layer to this mystery. While philopatry has been well documented in species like lemon sharks and blacktip sharks, great whites show patterns that don't neatly fit the rules. This episode unpacks how philopatry and DNA research intersect, why sharks defy easy explanations, and how these puzzles matter for conservation. Shark conservation depends on solving these mysteries. If different populations are genetically distinct, protecting one region isn't enough. On Healthy Mind, Healthy Life, host Avik Chakraborty sits down with Julie Alsaker, founder of Lux Bioanalytics and holistic genetic specialist, to unpack how nutrigenomics, methylation pathways, and nervous system regulation shape clarity, energy, and resilience. We move beyond generic wellness advice to explore DNA-informed strategies for burnout, brain fog, and “doing everything right” yet still feeling off. If you've wondered why breathwork, journaling, or clean eating sometimes stall, this episode shows how aligning biology with belief and behavior can create practical, measurable change. About the guest : Julie Alsaker is a holistic genetic specialist with 25+ years in alternative health. Through Lux Bioanalytics, she integrates DNA insights, functional blood analysis, and nutrition to help clients—from bedridden patients to high performers—identify root causes and build sustainable, personalized protocols. Key takeaways: Genetics is strategy, not destiny: DNA reveals tendencies; choices and environments shape outcomes. Nutrigenomics > one-size-fits-all: Diet, stress tools, and routines work best when calibrated to your genetic blueprint. Methylation matters: Variants across 13+ genes (e.g., MTHFR, MTR/MTRR, CBS, COMT) can limit energy access; nutrient form/amount can be the unlock. Biology sets the ceiling: Ignoring physiology (gut, immune, detox pathways) caps results from mindset and mindfulness work. Parasympathetic is where healing happens: Your body repairs when it feels safe; resilience includes nervous system retraining. Symptoms are data, not destiny: Don't normalize persistent brain fog, poor sleep, or “just getting older.” Track and investigate. Gut–brain loop: >70% of serotonin is produced in the gut; microbiome balance influences mood and motivation. Test, then tailor: DNA plus detailed bloodwork narrows root causes and informs targeted, safe interventions. Language shapes physiology: Identity and words matter—reframing fear can reduce stress chemistry and support healing. Start simple: Practice “grounded awareness”—honest symptom logging—before adding protocols or supplements. Send us a textAging, tissue repair, and the longevity benefits of psilocin.Episode Summary: Dr. Louise Hecker discusses her research on tissue repair and regeneration, explaining how fibroblasts drive wound healing by forming scar tissue but fail to resolve properly with age, leading to fibrotic diseases like pulmonary fibrosis and liver cirrhosis; they discuss aging hallmarks such as oxidative stress and telomere shortening, and highlight Hecker's study showing psilocybin's active metabolite, psilocin, extends cellular lifespan in lab cultures by reducing oxidants and preserving telomeres, while monthly doses in aged mice improved appearance and survival rates.About the guest: Louise Hecker, PhD is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine, specializing in repair and regeneration processes, particularly in aging and fibrotic diseases.Discussion Points:Fibroblasts are dormant cells that activate during injury to pull wounds closed and form scars, then de-differentiate or die; aging impairs this, causing persistent scarring and disease.Aging reduces the body's regenerative capacity; different organs vary in repair efficiency, with skin healing better than heart tissue.Oxidative stress, like "rust" in the body, accumulates with age due to imbalanced reactive oxygen species production and antioxidant defenses, contributing to cellular damage.Telomeres act as protective DNA caps that shorten with cell divisions, serving as a hallmark of biological aging; sirtuins are master regulators influencing aging processes.Hecker's in vitro study showed psilocin dose-dependently extended fibroblast lifespan by 29-50%, lowering oxidative stress below young cell levels and preserving telomeres. In aged mice (equivalent to 60-65 human years), monthly high-dose psilocybin (15 mg/kg) led to healthier appearance, regrown fur, and 80% survival when controls reached 50% mortality after 10 months.Psilocybin's effects may stem from serotonin receptors expressed in many cell types beyond the brain, suggesting broader anti-aging potential; future work explores mechanisms, optimal dosing, and applications for age-related diseases.Fungi like magic mushrooms represent an under-explored "kingdom" for medicine, with psilocybin's durable effects hinting at systemic impacts on aging.Reference Paper:Study: Psilocybin treatment extends cellular lifespan and improves survival of aged miceRelated content:Support the showAffiliates: Seed Oil Scout: Find restaurants with seed oil-free options, scan food products to see what they're hiding, with this easy-to-use mobile app. KetoCitra—Ketone body BHB + electrolytes formulated for kidney health. Utah officials are seeking the death penalty for the suspected assassin of Charlie Kirk. Prosecutors say new DNA evidence at the crime scene links the suspect, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson. Meanwhile, FBI Director Kash Patel testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee today for the first time since his confirmation, with questions largely focused on the bureau's handling of the Kirk assassination case.President Donald Trump is filing a $15 billion lawsuit against The New York Times, four of its reporters, and Penguin Random House, accusing them of defamation during the 2024 election. He arrived in London today for his second state visit, with the United States and UK expected to announce trade deals worth more than $10 billion.
FBI Director Kash Patel confirms that DNA evidence found at the crime scene matches that of Tyler Robinson. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
“Do you feel lucky, punk?” Join Ian, Megs & Liam for our 296th episode as we prowl the streets of San Francisco, badge in one hand and .44 Magnum in the other, for a look at Clint Eastwood's career-defining role in Dirty Harry (1971). A killer on the loose, a cop who won't play by the rules, and a city hanging in the balance—this episode asks all the right questions, even if Harry never bothers to. It's cops, criminals, and constitutional crises in our 296th episode as we ask: Yes, Dirty Harry is cool—but do women actually like this film? What's with all the nudity, and how much of it serves the story? Why does Scorpio do anything he does—and why does his logic (or lack thereof) drive us mad? How has Harry never learned what actually invalidates evidence or a confession? Law 101, Callahan! Why does the mayor keep calling him like he's on speed dial for bad PR? How deaf is the kid doing the fishing? And how long would it take for him to notice what's going on behind him? Why is Scorpio so disparate in his understanding of the value of hostages—demanding one thing one moment, then undercutting himself the next? Why doesn't the SFPD sit Harry home when he's framed on regional television? What exactly does the ending mean—resignation, rebellion, or just Eastwood being Eastwood? Which line from the film is one of the most misquoted in television history? We share some thoughts on the Charlie Kirk shooting and the public's reaction to it - are we losing our humanity? And finally: when exactly does DNA evidence become a thing—and how would it have changed the whole movie? Become a Patron of this podcast and support the BFE at https://www.patreon.com/BFE. We often blame our DNA for autoimmune disease and chronic illness. But what if the real inheritance isn't genetic at all? What if it's the food on the table, the unspoken stress, the toxins in our homes, and the patterns no one questions? In this episode of Medical Disruptors, Dr. E talks with Divya Gupta, a former Silicon Valley consultant who left the career everyone admired to reclaim her health. From gallbladder surgery at 20 to a Hashimoto's diagnosis at 25, Divya reveals how years of dismissed symptoms taught her the most dangerous form of gaslighting is when you start doubting yourself. She shares why gallbladders aren't disposable, how the thyroid and liver are deeply connected, and why bile may be the most overlooked part of your health. Together we explore the invisible inheritance families pass down—habits, foods, and beliefs that shape health outcomes for generations. This conversation challenges the myth that your destiny is written in your DNA. It's about reclaiming your voice, trusting your body, and breaking cycles that no longer serve you. professorjrod@gmail.comStep back in time with Professor JRod as we uncover the remarkable story of the 8-inch floppy disk – the groundbreaking invention that forever changed how we store and transport digital information. Before cloud storage, before USB drives, even before the familiar 3.5-inch diskettes of the 1990s, there was the original 8-inch floppy disk. Born from necessity at IBM in the late 1960s, this revolutionary storage medium solved a critical problem: replacing cumbersome punch cards and tape reels with something more practical and portable. Under project leader Alan Shugart (who later founded Seagate), a dedicated team of engineers crafted the first prototypes, affectionately codenamed "Minnow."The journey from concept to commercial success wasn't straightforward. Early challenges with dust and fingerprints damaging disks led to the ingenious solution of housing them in fabric-lined sleeves that would clean the disk surface during operation. By 1973, IBM's read-write floppy drive could store the equivalent of 3,000 punch cards on a single disk – a technological miracle that cost between $5-8 per disk. While laughably limited by today's standards (just over 1 megabyte at maximum capacity), these disks represented an exponential leap forward in portable computing.Though the 8-inch floppy was ultimately too unwieldy for home computing, it established the blueprint for all future portable storage. From standardized connectors to formatting approaches, the DNA of these early disks lives on in everything from USB drives to cloud storage concepts. Join us for this fascinating exploration of technological evolution and discover how a simple flexible disk became the ancestor of the digital storage revolution we take for granted today. In January 2021, workers clearing the abandoned railroad between Midleton and Youghal made a startling discovery. Along the track lay the skeletal remains of a woman left undiscovered for many years. Many questioned whether they had anything to do with the ongoing Tina Satchwell investigation. Despite a five-year investigation and a comparison of the skeleton's DNA against the national DNA database, detectives have not been able to confirm her identity. Fionnán Sheahan is joined by Ralph Riegel, Southern Correspondent with the Irish independent, to explore the strange case of the mysterious railway line remains. Let's Flip Constant Striving For Improvement In personal development, we're always told to chase “constant and never-ending improvement.” And yes, growth matters. But what if the pressure to always improve is actually holding you back? In this 5-minute quickie, I invite you to flip that idea. Instead of endlessly striving, take a moment to recognise the incredible skills and wisdom you already have. From communication, relationships, and problem-solving to resilience and creativity — you've built a lifetime of tools. Here's the thing: if you don't use them, you risk losing them. But by consciously using what you've learned — through selfless service, sharing, and living intentionally — you keep those skills alive, and they keep growing. So today's muse is simple: stop chasing for a minute and start using. You'll not only feel richer inside but also make a difference to others around you. Because personal growth isn't just about “more” — it's about sharing what you've already got. And sharing what you hear: https://personaldevelopmentunplugged.com/fmq-513-lets-flip-constant-striving-for-improvement And the video link https://youtu.be/4xsaSMdFhhA Shine Brightly
As the recreational use of marijuana has become more widespread, socially acceptable, and even legal in many states, the notion that smoking or ingesting cannabis products is actually harmless has spread as well. But a growing body of research is reporting on a variety of harmful effects from the use of cannabis. A new study published in the journal, Addiction Biology, is suggesting that using cannabis causes damage to cells, which in turn increases one's risk for developing cancerous tumors. Specifically, researchers found that cannabis use damages the genetic information in a cell, which can lead to cancer and accelerated aging. And, with the modification of the DNA in a cell, a parent can pass on altered or damage DNA to their offspring, thereby increasing the risk of premature aging and cancer for that child. Parents, we need to raise our children well, doing all we can to enable them to steward the health of those bodies to God's glory!
Send us a textDr. Randall Turner and I engage in a discussion centered on the principles of integrative medicine and the importance of addressing root causes of health issues. Randall shared his journey from traditional emergency medicine to a focus on integrative wellness, motivated by personal experiences, including the positive health changes he observed in his grandson. This conversation highlights the significance of a collaborative relationship between patients and healthcare providers, emphasizing the need for personalized health strategies, utilizing advanced testing methods like DNA and fatty acid testing to tailor treatments to individual needs, an approach that contrasts sharply with traditional practices that often overlook the complexities of chronic conditions. We also discuss the transformative impact of alternative treatments, including stem cell therapy and peptides, on chronic health issues, concern over the slow acceptance of these treatments within the medical community, and the necessity for patients to seek knowledgeable practitioners who can provide effective care. This dialogue underscored the growing demand for integrative approaches that consider both physical and emotional aspects of health. We conclude our conversation with a reflection on the spiritual dimensions of health and Dr. Turner's belief that a holistic approach must encompass spiritual well-being, arguing that neglecting this aspect can hinder overall health. He emphasized the importance of understanding one's spiritual nature as part of a fulfilling life and highlighted the role of spirituality in his practice. This perspective reinforces the idea that true healing involves a comprehensive understanding of the individual, integrating physical, emotional, and spiritual health. For more on Dr. Turner and his practice, Integrative Wellness, visit: https://integrativewellnesswv.com/Sponsored by Blu Apple: https://thebluapple.com?sca_ref=8837292.HZGjjNgCncCode: Brandi15

In this episode, Nicole and Diana discuss preparing for onsite research, focusing on the critical importance of thorough locality research and detailed planning. They explore Nicole's contrasting experiences with Love County, Oklahoma, where she conducted comprehensive research into the county's 1907 creation from Chickasaw Nation, clerk responsibilities, and record locations, versus her rushed approach to Hardin County, Kentucky, which led to challenges with the Kentucky Department of Library and Archives' broad catalog system and difficulty pinpointing specific materials. Through these examples, they emphasize the necessity of understanding jurisdiction formation dates, previous jurisdictions, extant records, and repository catalog systems before visiting archives. The discussion concludes with strategies for creating focused research plans that incorporate specific objectives, timelines, and locality guides, with Nicole sharing how newspaper clues and established timelines guided her Love County deed and tax record searches, while noting how she would improve her Hardin County approach by first reviewing index volumes to better prioritize useful records for onsite research. Ryan, Brant, Mo-Ron, and the most banned band! . . . YOU DON'T KNOW MOJACK is a podcast dedicated to exploring the entire SST catalogue, in order, from start to finish. During the podcast we will discuss all the releases that are part of our core DNA, as well as many lesser-known releases that deserve a second chance, or releases that we are discovering for the very first time (we actually don't know Mojack!). First and foremost we are fans, and acknowledge that we are not perfect and don't know everything – sometimes the discussion is more about a time, place, feeling, personal experience or random tangents, and less about the facts (but we will try to get to the facts too). Thanks for Preston and Pranav for suggesting this week's topics! Further reading: DNA has revealed the origin of this giant ‘mystery' gecko Snow Leopards Dispersed Out of Tibetan Plateau Multiple Times, Researchers Say Conquest of Asia and Europe by snow leopards during the last Ice Ages uncovered The crested gecko AKA the eyelash gecko: The fluffy snow leopard: Show transcript: Welcome to Strange Animals Podcast. I'm your host, Kate Shaw. This week we have a couple of suggestions from Preston and one from Pranav! This is the first episode I've recorded in my new apartment, so let's make it a good one. First, Preston wanted to learn more about the crested gecko, mainly because he has a pet crested gecko named George Washington. That is one of the best gecko names ever! The crested gecko is also called the eyelash gecko. We've talked about it a few times, but not recently at all. It's native to a collection of remote Pacific islands called New Caledonia, where it spends most of its time in trees, eating insects and other small animals, but also fruit, nectar, and lots of other food. It's an omnivore and nocturnal, and can grow more than 10 inches long, or 25 cm. It gets its names from the tiny spines above its eyes that look like eyelashes, and more spines in two rows down its back, like a tiny dragon. It can be brown, reddish, orange, yellow, or gray, with various colored spots, which has made it a popular pet. These days all pet crested geckos were bred in captivity, since it's now protected in the wild. The crested gecko has tiny claws on its toes, which is unusual since most geckos don't have claws. It can drop its tail like other geckos if a predator is after it, but the tail doesn't grow back. Since its tail is prehensile and helps it climb around in trees, you'd think the gecko would have trouble climbing after it loses its tail, but it doesn't. Maybe that's because in addition to claws, like other geckos it has basically microscopic hairlike structures on its toes that allow it to climb smooth surfaces like windows and walls and the trunks of smooth trees. It can also jump long distances to get to a new branch. The crested gecko was discovered by science in 1866, but wasn't seen after that in so long that people thought it was extinct. Then in 1994, a German herpetologist out looking for specimens after a tropical storm found a single crested gecko. It turns out that the geckos had been fine all along, but because they're nocturnal and mostly live in trees, scientists just hadn't spotted any. While we're talking about geckos, Pranav requested that we revisit Delcourt's giant gecko with some updated information. We did mention the new findings back in episode 389, but it's really interesting so let's go over it again. Way back in episode 20 we talked about Delcourt's giant gecko, which is only known from a single museum specimen donated in the 19th century. In 1979 a herpetologist named Alain Delcourt, working in the Marseilles Natural History Museum in France, noticed a big taxidermied lizard in storage and wondered what it was. It wasn't labeled and he didn't recognize it, surprising since it was the biggest gecko he'd ever seen—two feet long, or about 60 cm. He sent photos to several reptile experts and they didn't know what it was either. Finally the specimen was examined and in 1986 it was described as a new species. No one knew anything about the stuffed specimen, including where it was caught. At first researchers thought it might be from New Caledonia since a lot of the museum's other specimens were collected from the Pacific Islands. None of the specimens donated between 1833 and 1869 had any documentation, so it seemed probable the giant gecko was donated during that time and probably collected not long before. More recently there was speculation that it was actually from New Zealand, since it matched Maori lore about a big lizard called the kawekaweau. In June of 2023,

It wasn't just Washington D.C. that celebrated the life and legacy of Charlie Kirk, vigils around the world are being held in honor of this extraordinary man and his work. Congressman Andy Biggs of Arizona spoke at Charlie's vigil last night in a touching and powerful speech. Charlie leaves an absolutely remarkable legacy in his courage defending his faith and as a champion of the Conservative movement. His wife Erika, made one of the most poised, graceful and heartfelt speeches about Charlie, TPUSA and its future over the weekend. Leading up to the 2024 election, TPUSA was able to register 300,000 Republican voters in Arizona in 2024 and President Trump won the state with 160,000 votes. They certainly got President Trump elected in Charlie's home state and changed the hearts and minds of so many young people around the country. TPUSA will move forward with resolve and tenacity, as Charlie's work continues to inspire and motivate people around the world. The radicalized lunatic that assassinated Charlie Kirk is in custody, the FBI has confirmed that DNA on the towel wrapped around the firearm and a screwdriver found in the sniper's nest match the suspect in custody. The state of Utah is seeking aggravated murder which comes with the death penalty. The suspect made sure he did not have his phone on him so he could not be located via GPS, had a getaway plan along with sunglasses and a hat to conceal his identity. It presents a compelling case for his premeditated intentions. Will Chamberlain is here to discuss the legal implications against Charlie's assassin, what federal charges may be brought against him and the death penalty in Utah. Featuring: Rep.
