Do you dare to ask more of God, or are you afraid to sound selfish? Hey, fam! In this bonus episode I'm dropping bombs on why settling for 'just enough' is not your design! We're talking about that word 'more'—not the greedy kind, but the abundance God literally wired inside you! Share your abundance mindset shift with me @biancajuarezofficial. Love you, B RESOURCES/LINKS Takeaways Asking for more from God is not selfish. We are designed and destined with desire. God wants us to believe Him for more. Desire can be hijacked by trauma and past experiences. The danger of desire lies in greed, not in wanting more of God. God's nature is to provide abundantly for His children. We should not settle for complacency in our spiritual lives. Desire should be directed towards God, not selfish pursuits. We are called to awaken to the more that God has for us. Living in abundance requires action and faith. ⋇ Bianca's book Grit Don't Quit: Developing Resilience And Faith When Giving Up Isn't An Option. https://amzn.to/3MO74OC ⋇ The Grit Don't Quit Bible Study is now available. https://www.biancajuaerzofficial.com/gdq ⋇ So grateful to our sponsors! Jeff Belanger and Ray Auger revisit a murder nearly two centuries old — a killing so brutal it shook the quiet town of Chepachet, Rhode Island to its core. The crime of May 26, 1826 left such a deep scar on the community that a plaque still stands today, marking the very spot where blood was spilled. And every year since, the town gathers to remember the tragedy in a surprisingly BIG way. What happened that day? And why does this grim anniversary continue to loom so large in Chepachet's history? Welcome to Day 2753 of Wisdom-Trek. Thank you for joining me. This is Guthrie Chamberlain, Your Guide to Wisdom Day 2753 – Wisdom Nuggets – Psalm 101:1-8 – Daily Wisdom Wisdom-Trek Podcast Script - Day 2753 Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps! I am Guthrie Chamberlain, and we are on Day 2753 of our Trek. The Purpose of Wisdom-Trek is to create a legacy of wisdom, to seek out discernment and insights, and to boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before. The Title for today's Wisdom-Trek is: The King's Mirror – A Manifesto of Integrity Today, we stand at the threshold of a new royal chamber as we explore Psalm One Hundred One, covering the entire psalm, verses one through eight, in the New Living Translation. In our previous trek through Psalm One Hundred, we experienced the joyful noise of the thanksgiving procession. We learned how to "enter His gates with thanksgiving" and "go into His courts with praise." It was a psalm about the people of God approaching the presence of God, acknowledging that He is good, His love is eternal, and His faithfulness lasts forever. It was the liturgy of entry. But Psalm One Hundred One asks a follow-up question that is much more searching: Once you are inside the gates, how do you live? This psalm is often called "The Mirror for Magistrates" or "The King's Mirror." It is written by David, and it is a personal manifesto of integrity. If Psalm One Hundred is about the public worship of God, Psalm One Hundred One is about the private discipline of a leader. It connects deeply to the Royal Psalms we have been studying because, in the Ancient Israelite worldview, the earthly king was supposed to be the visible representative of the Invisible God. If Yahweh reigns with "Righteousness and Justice" (as we saw in Psalm Ninety-seven), then David's throne must be established on the same foundation. This psalm is David's vow to create a court, a home, and a city that mirrors the holiness of the Divine Council. It is a psalm of severe cleaning, purging the influence of chaos and evil from the heart of the kingdom. So, let us look into this mirror and see if our own house reflects the King's standard. The first segment is: The Vow of the Private Heart Psalm One Hundred One: verses one through two. I will sing of your love and justice, Lord. I will praise you with songs. I will be careful to live a blameless life— when will you come to help me? I will lead a life of integrity in my own home. David begins his manifesto by setting his tuning fork to the character of God: "I will sing of your love and justice, Lord. I will praise you with songs." Notice the two attributes he chooses: Love (ḥesed—unfailing, loyal love) and Justice (mishpat). These are the twin pillars of Yahweh's reign that we saw in Psalm Eighty-nine and Psalm Ninety-seven. Before David can rule others, he must immerse himself in the nature of the God he represents. He sings about them to internalize them. A leader who does not sing of God's justice will soon become a...

This week, the adventuresome Sagittarius New Moon season gets off to a bit of a strained beginning as the Sun squares off with Saturn and Neptune. Relationships and values are put to the test when Venus and Saturn meet in a difficult aspect. We honor the solstice as the Sun marches into Capricorn, and April answers a listener question about being born at the New or Full Moon. Plus: A lesson of patience, built to be productive and then to rest, and no place to go but up. Read a full transcript of this episode. Have a question you'd like answered on the show? The Sagittarius New Moon (Dec. 19, 5:43 pm PST) at 28º24' Sagittarius. This New Moon is on the Sabian symbol 29 Sagittarius, A fat boy mowing the lawn of his house on an elegant suburban street. Guard your energy and anticipate that any tasks or any clarity you hope to gain will be hard won and might take a little while for you to see. [4:00] The Sun squares Saturn (Dec. 16, 8:33 pm PST) at 25°28' Sagittarius-Pisces. Use this time to plan and prepare for things that you want to get done at the New Moon, rather than pushing hard to actually do them. [5:04] The Sun squares Neptune (Dec. 20, 5:02 pm PST) at 29°24' Sagittarius-Pisces. Expect to feel drained, maybe a bit confused or unclear about what you want to accomplish during this New Moon cycle. Don't be too hard on yourself if you find you just don't have the energy. [6:25] Lunar Phase Family Cycle (LPFC). The First Quarter (first action point) in this LPFC comes on September 18, 2026, at 25º57' Sagittarius. The Full Moon (awareness point) of this LPFC will occur on June 18, 2027, at 27º33' Sagittarius. Then the Last Quarter Moon (final action point) in the LPFC comes on March 17, 2028, at 27º53' Sagittarius. [8:39] Void-of-Course (VOC) Moon periods. The Moon trines Neptune (Dec. 17, 7:24 am PST). It's VOC for 1 hour, 14 minutes, then enters Sagittarius (8:38 am PST). Use this VOC Moon to get into the habit of connecting with the divine daily and observing the messages that come your way. [10:07] The Moon squares Neptune (Dec. 19, 7:41 pm PST). It's VOC for 1 hour, 11 minutes, then enters Capricorn (8:52 pm PST). Consider a quiet evening at home, doing something imaginative and restful. [11:12] Venus square Saturn (Dec. 20, 9:09 pm PST) at 25º37' Sagittarius-Pisces. Venus in aspect to Saturn often brings delays or disappointments, but sometimes the lesson is to have patience, and in the case of Saturn in Pisces, acceptance. [12:47] The Sun enters Capricorn (Dec. 21, 7:03 am PST). Happy Solstice! Happy Yule! Happy Midsummer! The Capricorn and Cancer solstices are a wonderful time for standing still, which is what solstice literally means: the Sun standing still. The Capricorn Solstice is the beginning of Capricorn season (Dec. 21, 2025 -Jan. 19, 2026). The Sun is lowest in the midday sky. There's no place to go but up. What is it that we want to accomplish? What mountain is it that we want to climb? [16:53] Listener Ivana asks about Full and New Moon natives. Check out Dana Gerhardt for more information on the lunar phases. It's not every week that you get all five members of the beat-combo on the same episode of a podcast (in fact it is possible that we were popping the 'ol podcast cherry, collectively speaking). But then it isn't every week that we record the 250th episode of TCD!!It made for an eventful recording process, and indeed a game of two halves, as we huddled around a single microphone in my hotel room in Utrecht to try and make this semiquincentennial episode something a bit special. And do you know what? I think we might have managed it! Despite being “post-the-best-gig-in-living-memory” shattered, the boys brought their 'A' game to the table, and Ant (bless him) has put in an extra special effort to wrestle the edit into submission and sprinkle it with sparkles. It's been a special project for me, one that so many of you have embraced and carried on your shoulders, and for that I will always be truly grateful.Love'n'milestonesh
The third episode in our Advent series explores why most couples don't feel joyful during the holidays and how to protect joy when everything feels like obligation and chaos. Joy becomes elusive when we expect it to be natural, when we prioritize mere survival over connection, when we forget to dig deep to remember God's love for us is the deepest reason for joy, when we lose ourselves in others' never-ending needs, when we escape instead of engaging, and when we don't pause during the chaos that puts your nervous system in survival mode where delight is impossible. There is so much to learn and we can take it step by step together! Listen here as you find centering and re-embrace delight this holiday or anytime of year!! Watch on YouTube! Masi is back! We recorded this one in our Christmas pajamas from Deep Woods Refuge, and it's less like a podcast and more like two friends processing life over coffee. We started with a question I think about every holiday season: everyone's singing about peace on earth, but how do I get peace on me? We talked about the difference between positional peace (knowing where we stand with Jesus) and practical peace (the day in, day out kind when things are a total cluster of mayhem). I shared about my dad, a man I would describe as a person of peace, and how he made it a practice of his life to be unoffendable. Not because he didn't have reasons to be offended, but because he cared more about his peace than he did about his point. Masi walked us through the Peace Index and we landed on people, place, and purpose... and how assessing those things can help us show up differently this season. If you're heading into the holidays with a lot of opinions converging around one table, this one's for you. Life is hard, but God is good and He is making everything beautiful in its time. Peace. In this Third Sunday of Advent reflection, Msgr. John Esseff proclaims the joy of Christ's coming and the deep mystery of Jesus dwelling within those who are baptized. Drawing from the prophet Isaiah and the Gospel of Matthew, he reflects on the signs that reveal the Messiah: the blind see, the deaf hear, the lame walk, the dead are raised, and the poor receive the good news. Days later, her body and that of her date, Stanley Skridla, were found murdered outside Oregon, Illinois. This full-length interview with retired FBI Special Agent Robin Dreeke brings together two deeply disturbing stories — the Jesse Butler case in Oklahoma and the tragic death of 18-year-old Anna Kepner aboard a cruise ship. Both cases expose something bigger than individual acts of violence. They reveal systems, institutions, and family dynamics that shape who gets protected — and who gets overlooked. Part One: The Predator's Playbook We examine how Jesse Butler allegedly built trust, manipulated perception, and inflicted escalating violence behind a mask of charm. Love-bombing, grooming, strangulation, digital trophies, calibrated threats — this is the behavioral blueprint of a predator operating in plain sight. Part Two: The System That Failed Despite overwhelming evidence and two victims ready to testify, Butler walked away with community service, counseling, and the promise of a clean record. We dig into the deal-making, the optics, the backlash, and the profound message this outcome sends to victims everywhere. Part Three: The Death of Anna Kepner Conflicting family stories, minimized aggression, outside witnesses telling a different truth, and behavioral indicators investigators look for when tragedy fractures the narrative. Robin explains how trained professionals cut through damage control to find reality. This episode isn't just about two cases — it's about the patterns, systems, and human behaviors that allow violence to go unchecked until it explodes into public view. #JesseButler #AnnaKepner #TrueCrimePodcast #HiddenKillers #TonyBrueski #RobinDreeke #VictimAdvocacy #BehavioralAnalysis #JusticeMatters #CrimeAndAccountability Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Title: Love's Triumph Preacher: Mark Dever Series: What is Love? Passage: Hosea 14:1-9
Week 51 - the Family, A Proclimation to the World: "Why is it that we tend to be our worst selves when it matters the most?"Please visit us at CFMpodcast.org
I was reading about a scientist named George Washington Carver, and was struck by his observations about science and how to realize the deeper levels of material phenomena. He said, "Anything will give up its secrets if you love it enough." And I am paraphrasing what he said, "Attention and love reveal understanding." So he presented that love is a method. Then he gave a definition of love, which I thought would be helpful for the process of chanting. He said: "It's disciplined attention, not sentiment; patient attention." He said, "Humility before what you're studying, a willingness to listen rather than dominate." He said, "When approaching a plant, problem, or person, you need respect, curiosity, and care. Nature responds to patience. Truth is revealed gradually, not extracted violently." "Careful observation opens possibilities others overlook. If you stay with something long enough," (direct quote) "it teaches you." "People reveal themselves when they are not being used, judged, or rushed." (Good for book distribution too.) He also said, "Truth is unified. Nature is a form of divine communication. Knowledge is a gift, not a conquest." Then you gave this formula: Attention+Love=Understanding. How you approach something shapes what you can know. Understanding is received, not seized. Love is patient, ethical attention. So, in the matter of chanting, Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu said, “tṛṇād api sunīcena.” (One should be humbler than a blade of grass.) Now, be very, very humble and approach like this. It's the perfect method. And I especially liked: disciplined attention, patient attention, humility before what you're studying, a willingness to listen rather than dominate. So, not expecting anything, but being humbly aware that perfect knowledge requires the perfect method, which means that if Kṛṣṇa is to reveal Himself in His name, I have to have great respect, humility, and patience. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #makejapagreatagain #mantrameditation #chantharekrishnaandbehapy ##spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

Send us a textYou were told that love would be enough. That if you just cared more, tried harder, stayed patient, and didn't give up, your relationship would work itself out. So when the distance crept in, when conversations started going sideways, when you felt lonely sitting right next to the person you love, you told yourself to love harder. But love isn't what translates your emotions into words.Love doesn't create emotional safety when conversations get tense. And love alone can't bridge the gap between two people living in very different emotional worlds.Skills do.In this episode of Love Shack Live, we sit down to break down the three core relationship skills that most couples are missing when they feel disconnected, misunderstood, or stuck in the same painful patterns. You'll learn:Why loving each other deeply still isn't enough to prevent conflict and emotional distanceThe #1 skill couples need to stop reacting and start understanding each otherHow emotional safety actually works (and why most couples don't have it)Why differences in perspective create so much conflict and how to stop taking everything personallyHow unresolved emotional “messy dishes” pile up and quietly erode connection over timeThrough real client stories and honest conversation, this episode shows why relationships don't fail because of a lack of love. They struggle because no one taught us the skills required to communicate, regulate emotions, and truly understand one another. If you've been asking yourself:“Why do we keep having the same fight?”“Why do I feel so misunderstood?”“Why does love feel harder than it should?”This episode will give you clarity, relief, and a different way forward.Love is real. It matters. But skills are what make love safe, lasting, and livable.Love Isn't Enough. Skills Get You Through the Holidays. If the holidays already feel heavy and you're trying not to spiral, you don't need more information. You need tools you can use in the moment. That's why I created the Holiday Survival Bundle: the Holiday Stress Test + 3 micro-skill programs to help you calm the tension, communicate more clearly, and stay connected when things get stressful.$97 or 2 payments of $55: https://stacibartley.com/holiday-bundle-nc
This year, Christmas is going to be on December 25. Surprise! And this is how we're going to celebrate it: We're going put up trees with ornaments. We're going to bake cookies & open presents. And we're going to sing songs, put up decorations, and send out Christmas cards with Hope, Peace, Joy and Love splattered all over them. It will be the same as every other year, and that's a big part of what makes it special. We love the traditions of Christmas. But they can sometimes feel rote and routine. What if we could experience it all anew again? Like a Kid at Christmas… Learn more about Mountaintop Church at https://mountaintopchurch.com
The Great Rosary Campaign is an ongoing prayer and penance campaign for the conversion and strengthening of both Catholic and non-Catholic leaders. For the next 5 weeks—going through Advent, Christmas, and heading into the New Year—we will be praying for the conversion of various tech leaders who are spearheading AI. We are also praying that, alongside any potential benefits that may come from AI, the evil that may result from it may be mitigated for the sake of the salvation of souls.THIS WEEK of the Great Rosary Campaign, we will pray for the conversion of the CEO of Meta (Facebook), Mark ZuckerbergThe SUGGESTED PENANCE this week, while we remain in Advent, is a 24 hour water fast (adjusted for your state in life). In these dark times, we must fight evil with the most powerful weapons we have. The Rosary is foremost among them. Join the Great Rosary Campaign today at: www.GreatRosaryCampaign.com.Countless Saints and Popes have told us that the Rosary is incredibly powerful for three things in particular:Keeping the FaithMoral renovationConversions of non-CatholicsThe Great Rosary Campaign is also based on several biblical themes and principles.First, PRAY FOR OUR BRETHREN. “Pray for one another…” (Jas. 5:16). “So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all men, and especially to those who are of the household of faith" (Gal. 6:10).Second, PRAY FOR OUR ENEMIES. “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven" (Matt. 5:43-44).Third, PRAY FOR ALL MEN, PARTICULARLY LEADERS AND THOSE IN AUTHORITY. “First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all men, or kings and all who are in high positions…” (1 Tim. 2:1-2).Fourth, GOING INTO BATTLE WITH THE ARK. When the ancient Israelites came to Jericho, God didn't tell them to besiege the city. Instead, He told them to march around it with the Ark of the Covenant seven times, and on the seventh the walls would fall. We will now "march" in prayer for seven days with the New Ark of the Covenant, Our Lady, through the Rosary. We pray in hope that on the seventh day, a day especially devoted to Our Lady (Saturday), extraordinary graces of conversion will be given to those we are praying for.Fifth, EVANGELISM AND APOLOGETICS = LOVE + ARGUMENTS + PRAYER + PENANCE. Ultimately it is God who reveals Himself to a soul, and empowers them to say "yes" to Him by His grace. He chooses to use us, but He does not have to. We must remember that as we evangelize and defend the Faith, our arguments will be fruitless unless informed by love (charity), and reinforced by prayer and penance.Sixth, RETURNING GOOD FOR EVIL. “Do not return evil for evil, or reviling for reviling; but on the contrary bless, for to this you have been called, that you may obtain a blessing" (1 Pet. 3:9).Sign up to take part in the Great Rosary Campaign today: www.GreatRosaryCampaign.com

In this final Sunday Solo episode of the year, Jane Morgan reflects on the beliefs we inherit, absorb, and unknowingly allow to run our inner operating systems—long after they've stopped serving us. Through a deeply personal story from her own therapeutic and spiritual work, Jane explores how mistaken beliefs can calcify into powerful internal rules that shape our reactions, relationships, intuition, and sense of safety. She shares a profound moment of insight around a core belief she discovered—that being “wrong” meant danger—and how, with support, she was able to release it. This episode is an invitation to slow down during the holiday season, take a compassionate look at the stories guiding your life, and gently ask: Is this belief still true? Rather than offering fixes or formulas, Jane encourages curiosity, softness, and self-trust—especially when listening to intuition feels harder than pleasing others. With reflections on meditation, two-way prayer, intuition, inner child work, and honoring your own “no,” this episode is a warm fireside companion for the darker days leading up to the solstice. As Medium Curious heads into a short winter break, Jane also shares what's coming in the new year—including exciting guests, a new round of Clair Club, and an upcoming Higher Calling cohort. ✨ In This Episode, We Explore: How mistaken beliefs form—and why they often feel impossible to remove A personal story of uncovering a deeply embedded belief around being “wrong” Why many beliefs once protected us, even if they now create suffering How moments of emotional upset can point to hidden belief systems The idea of “snapshotting” reactions to gently investigate what's underneath How meditation, intuition, and spiritual support can reveal stuck stories Using two-way prayer or intuitive writing to access inner guidance Trusting your intuition—even when it disappoints others Why honoring yourself isn't selfish (and may be long overdue)
Regarded as the pinnacle of Persian literature, his works are a household item for Persian-speaking families and read during the Yalda winter solstice festival and Nowruz spring equinox festival. He was also widely known amongst European intellectuals, with even Engels mentioning him to Marx in a letter. Hafez lived in Shiraz under the waning Mongol Ilkhanate and at his death in 1390, the region was being incorporated into Timur's empire. What more do we know about Hafez's socio-political and cultural context? There are many mythical tales about Hafez. What can we know about his life? The influence of Hafez can't be underestimated. Tell us about his works. And what translations and secondary resources do you recommend? It should be pointed out that there are wonderful illustrated versions including one owned by the Cartier family of jewellers. And finally let's end with a sample and translation. "The Arrival of Love"Advent 2025 Series, Part 31 John 4:9-10; John 3:16-17December 14, 2025Will Washington
Welcome to The Daily, where we study the Bible verse by verse, chapter by chapter, every day. Read more about Project23 and partner with us as we teach every verse of the Bible on video. Our text today is Judges 17:1-2: There was a man of the hill country of Ephraim, whose name was Micah. And he said to his mother, "The 1,100 pieces of silver that were taken from you, about which you uttered a curse and also spoke it in my ears—behold, the silver is with me; I took it." And his mother said, "Blessed be my son by the Lord." — Judges 17:1-2 This scene looks simple—a son confesses theft, and a mother blesses him. But underneath it is something tragic. Micah steals from his own mother, admits it, and instead of correction, she offers him a blessing in God's name. It sounds spiritual—but it's sentimental. Micah's mom believes in God, but she won't confront sin. She wants to keep peace, not stir conflict. Her love is sincere, but her silence is deadly. She redefines righteousness as "being nice," and in doing so, she turns blessing into approval of sin. And here's the cost: when parents won't draw the line, children stop seeing one. When we're silent about sin, we teach the next generation that God's boundaries are optional—that His truth bends for our emotions. Micah's mother wasn't leading her son to God; she was leading him away by confusing blessing with permission. Sound familiar? We see it every day. Christian parents who believe in the Bible—but when their kids walk into sin, they go quiet. They're afraid to offend, afraid to seem "judgmental," afraid to lose the relationship. So they soften the truth, stay silent, or even give their blessing to lifestyles and choices that God clearly calls sin. It's the Micah mistake—wanting God's blessing without His boundaries. We say things like, "I just want my kids to be happy," when God calls us to want our kids to be holy. We call it love, but it's really fear wearing a mask of compassion. We live in a world that calls confrontation "hate" and tolerance "love." But God calls love something higher—truth spoken with courage, even when it hurts. Real love doesn't wink at sin; it weeps over it. It points people, even our own children, back to the God who saves, not the one we invent to make everyone comfortable. Micah's mother wanted God in her home but not on His terms. And that's where idolatry always starts—in homes that believe but won't obey. God doesn't bless sentimental faith. He blesses surrendered faith. Love without truth isn't love—it's permission. And truth without love isn't truth—it's pride. The real God won't bend to our emotions, preferences, or family politics. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Our job isn't to adjust Him—it's to align with Him. ASK THIS: Have you ever confused love with tolerance in your home or relationships? What message does silence about sin send to your children or those you influence? Where do you need to speak truth in love, even if it risks tension? How can you model both conviction and compassion like Jesus did? DO THIS: Identify one area where you've softened God's truth out of fear or sentimentality. Pray for wisdom and courage to address it with both love and clarity. PRAY THIS: Father, forgive me for loving comfort more than conviction. Help me to love my family enough to tell them the truth. Give me courage to draw boundaries that lead to life—and grace to speak truth in love. Amen. PLAY THIS: "Fear Is Not My Future."
