Dear Friends❤❤, Hope you are doing fantastic. I wish you for your happy life
Living an active and busy life can help in many ways as we age. Staying social, spending time with family and participating in community gatherings are a great way to stay engaged and nurture your mind and emotional well being. But as schedules fill up, it can be easy to forget about giving time back to yourself which is just as important as staying “busy”. Not carving out enough time during the week to spend on your mental, emotional and physical well being can lead to burnout and a shorter active life. In This Episode You Will Learn: 1). Why we felt it was important to dedicate an episode to this topic and Meredith's personal story from one of our subscribers that inspired this discussion. 2). How neglecting your own well being and spreading yourself thin can affect people of all ages, not just older individuals. 3). How regular exercise can greatly help curb levels of stress which can come from being spread to thin with activities and responsibilities. 4). Why setting boundaries is helpful in achieving a schedule that gives time back to you. 5). Some great examples of activities you can do that will help recharge your mental, physical and emotional well being now and later on in life. /// We hope the information we've shared in this episode helps you or someone you know with scheduling time to give back to yourself especially during a busy and active lifestyle. It is easy to forget how important this is especially as we age. Staying balanced with family, community and activities is best served hand in hand with time focused on your own well being physically, mentally and emotionally. Multi tasking is the act of attempting to accomplish many things at once. Doing laundry, balancing your check book, doing the dishes, texting your family members etc. Trying to get many things done at once can make you feel as if you're being productive but it can also take a toll on your mental, emotional and physical well being if it becomes the norm for your living style. In This Episode You Will Learn: 1). Some of Meredith's own personal struggles with multitasking and how it can affect people of all ages. 2). How living with modern technology like your phone can make you feel more anxious and like you're not getting enough done. This can lead to multi tasking and trying to get many things done at once. 3). How the affects of having a shorter attention span impacts our attitudes on moving on from one task to another prematurely. 4). Why you may start to feel tired and overwhelmed when constantly trying to multi task on a regular basis and how this ultimately affects your overall health and well being. 5). Some of Meredith's tips on managing the urge to constantly multi task. /// We hope the tips in this episode help you realize that multitasking can be helpful but can also affect you in ways that will impact your overall health. We all want to feel accomplished with our days and doing so in a way that keeps you healthy and still makes you feel like you are checking off your “to do list” items is what's important in the long run. Regular exercise is part of the main pillars in life that will help you stay healthy, strong and live longer. We put a lot of time and energy into it over the years which sometimes makes us feel like we should be seeing certain results as our bodies change. However, this may not always be the case. Not seeing results from the hard work you do exercising can be frustrating and de-motivating. Putting in what feels like a lot of exercise each week and not seeing the expected results can lead to quitting altogether, and we'd like to avoid that. In This Episode You Will Learn: 1). Some of Meredith's personal experiences in training clients of all ages and some of their attitudes and responses on not being happy with their results from exercise. 2). Why most people underestimate the amount of time it actually takes to see a physical changes not just externally but internally as well. 3). How not seeing results is usually tied to a specific goal that we set for ourselves which isn't always very realistic to begin with. 4). How your daily diet directly affects your body and the work you put in to look and feel good. 5). Meredith's suggestion's on how to correctly measure your results so you do see the actual changes that are taking place in a more healthy and realistic way. /// We hope the tips in this episode help you find the best path to exercise and health for your lifestyle. Not physically seeing results doesn't necessarily mean that your body isn't changing. There are many other factors that go into the amazing effects that exercise has on your health and they aren't all necessarily visual. Although visual cues will show if they haven't already, provided you stay consistent with you exercise habits and diet. Team MeredithSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

So many of us have a little girl that lives inside our hearts. A little girl who could not show the world who she was when we were young because she was misunderstood, told she was too sensitive, and potentially ostracized from peer groups and family. Maybe she was banished from the lunch table. So, that little girl got small to meet the needs and desires of others who didn't have the capacity to meet her needs. It takes self-compassion to cradle that little girl inside. And it takes courage to finally break away from not being yourself, as a grown woman. In this episode, Jessica tells the story of the little girl who lives in her heart; the little girl she's learned how to love by letting go of the messaging she received through much of her life that she was too much. Also, some thoughts on how fucking up is a necessary part of self-growth, and will most definitely be a part of the anti-racist work that white women are being called to do right now. It helps if we can do this work together, as amazing women keeping each other honest. Jessica is committed to showing you her flaws as she grows, with the hopes that you won't be afraid to do the same. And if you are afraid, that's okay. Jessica is too. But let's do it anyway. Together. P.S. The red pills Jessica mentions taking are a reference to The Matrix. Not actual red pills. ******The One Day You Finally Knew: For Women Breaking Away podcast is produced and edited by Jessica Chasnoff, a recovering perfectionist who is always in a learning curve. Our Future is South Africa, Prager U-Douglas Murray, Don't Waste Another Year- Jordan Peterson. No Past, No Future PragerU Neutralize the Opposition | South Africa Don't Waste Another Year | Jordan Peterson 2021 Motivation No Past, No Future https://youtu.be/_cBayEcXsxc PragerU Can we judge the past by the standards of the present? Many seem intent on proving not only that we can, but that we must. Social critic Douglas Murray doesn't agree, and he explains why in this thought-provoking video. Script: What kind of future do we have if we destroy our past? Has anyone who has pulled down a statue of Churchill, Lincoln, or Columbus thought to ask themselves this question? I doubt it. The presumption that we can stand in perfect judgment over the lives of historical figures is not merely foolish and unfair, it's dangerous. Consider what the statue destroyers are, in effect, saying. They are saying that people in history should have known what we know. That's tantamount to saying, they should have known the future. This is, of course, absurd. Yet more and more, people believe it. Why? Simple. It's what they are taught. It is the fruit of an education system that long ago prioritized "empathy" over facts; that believes the ultimate point of history is not to learn lessons from it, but to judge it from the pre-ordained left-wing conclusions about such ill-defined concepts as social justice, equity, and tolerance. Apart from breeding ignorance, this kind of education invites the student (the child, really) to be judge, jury, and executioner over issues that they (and increasingly their teachers) know little or nothing about. Because no one has bothered to teach them the nuance, complexity, and context that is history. It also breeds arrogance: "I know things these people did not know. Therefore, I am better than they were. They have nothing to teach me. In fact, I must teach them." And down comes the statue. A new, "better" history must take the place of the old one. In America this impulse has culminated in The 1619 Project — an initiative started by The New York Times and now in schools everywhere — which attempts to make the arrival of the first African slaves into the American colonies the foundational date of the American republic. 1776? The American Revolution? In the new history that was just about protecting the Founders' slave interests. These men — some of the most remarkable humans to have lived at any time — are to be understood simply by their attitude toward this one issue. The 1619 Project seeks to portray America — the freest, most prosperous nation in world history — as exceptional only in one respect: insofar as being exceptionally bad. This is a purposefully destructive view of history. It is one intended to pull down rather than build up. A healthy, humane, and – in the truest sense – liberal mind does not view history as a mere playpen for our moral judgment. It recognizes that people in the past acted on the information they had, just as we do today. Sure, it would have been nice if the Founders of America had abolished slavery in its Constitution. Some, in fact, tried very hard to do so. But had they been unwilling to compromise, there would be no Constitution and no United States. All the sacrifices of the Revolution would have been lost. So, a compromise balancing the interests of the northern states and the southern states was reached. It would have been nice if the Japanese had surrendered before atom bombs were dropped over Hiroshima and Nagasaki, but they didn't. President Truman had to make his decision based on the information he had at the time — that an Allied invasion of the Japanese home island would cost at least a million lives, both American and Japanese. Of course, the woke mind abhors these subtleties. It knows that it is right and that everybody before our current age — year zero — should have known better. Anyway, they were all bigots. Why should we give them any benefit of the doubt, let alone admire them or learn from them? Well, maybe because, like everyone else, the great figures of the past did the best they could under the circumstances in which they found themselves. That their efforts largely succeeded is why we are here. For the complete script visit https://www.prageru.com/video/no-past... FOLLOW us! Facebook:

After spending 36 years working in critical care as a respiratory therapist, Sue Kaltenbach began a new career as a professional photographer specializing in photographing people over 50. Sue shares her personal experience of dealing with chronic pain due to being born with congenital defects in her spine and both knees, but never giving in to it and staying active and healthy during her entire life. She also talks about participating in a century bike ride at the age of 56, having three major surgeries in one calendar year, and hiking a fourteener three years later at the tender young age of 60. Sue explains that we get more interesting as we get older, because of our life experiences and depth of knowledge. She encourages us to embrace our richness, and not to give our negative experiences the power to destroy us. There are many life's lessons in this uplifting and inspirational episode, including that it doesn't have to be pretty to get it done, and sometimes you just need beef and beer. **REBROADCAST** Is writing a book easy? How do you get it published? Then what do you do, put it in the trunk of your car and go the parking lot of a really busy store and yell, "books for sell?" Well, I think it's a lot more to it than that. You first have to know that if you're going to write books that you have to do several different things and pursue different avenues in order to be a successful writer. You have to first believe that that is truly what you want. You really have to have a passion for writing and DO NOT be discouraged when things don't work out like you want immediately. Nothing comes easy, but you have to make up your mind that by hook or by crook, you're in it for the long haul no matter how long a haul it turns out to be. My guest tonight, Ms Parker J. Cole, is a successful writer who did just that. She knew what she wanted to do and she did it!! So tonight she's going to tell us how and what she did and is still doing to stay on top of her game.
In this episode, Linda and I spoke about networking, the challenges, Linked In and how people use it, could use it, don't use it and so much more. A lovely chat in which Linda explains how she became Linked In Linda, how she tries to balance her well being and personal life and her tips to other business owners and startups. Also - in this episode, the first appearance of my brand new music makes an appearance. Many thanks to Pete Dineley for creating it and doing the voiceover!
