L'obligation de vérification de la majorité de leurs utilisateurs s'applique depuis mars à tous les sites pornographiques en France, et ceux établis dans et hors de l'Union européenne. Ils doivent exiger l'envoi d'une photo ou d'un document d'identité par exemple, en proposant au moins une méthode respectant le principe de double anonymat qui permet de prouver sa majorité sans divulguer son identité. Aylo défend de son côté une vérification de l'âge au niveau des appareils et de leur système d'exploitation. "Pornhub, YouPorn et Redtube refusent de se conformer à notre cadre légal et décident de partir. Tant mieux ! Il y aura moins de contenus violents, dégradants, humiliants accessibles aux mineurs en France. Au revoir", a commenté de son côté Aurore Bergé, ministre en charge de l'Égalité entre les femmes et les hommes et de la Lutte contre les discriminations, sur le réseau social X.
