Depuis le début des années 80, la Côte-Nord essaie d’arriver au 21e siècle en demandant la construction d’un pont entre Tadoussac et Baie Sainte-Catherine. Ils ne veulent plus du traversier et veulent un pont qui permet les déplacements en tout temps. Depuis des années, la Coalition union 138 dénonce un manque de volonté politique. Le béluga du Saint-Laurent : canari des mers, mémoire vivante du fleuve On le voit souvent : une petite tache blanche à Tadoussac, dans le fjord ou près des îles. Il semble calme, doux, souriant presque… mais le béluga cache un monde riche : une langue faite de clics et de sifflements, une société complexe menée par des matriarches, et une histoire vieille de milliers d'années dans notre fleuve. Dans cet épisode, Lyne Morissette plonge au cœur de cette baleine blanche avec Robert Michaud, biologiste et président du Groupe de recherche et d'éducation sur les mammifères marins (GREMM), qui étudie les bélugas du Saint-Laurent depuis près de 40 ans. Avec lui, on découvre une espèce unique — un dauphin sans aileron, un chanteur sous-marin hors pair, un réfugié climatique resté piégé dans l'estuaire depuis la dernière glaciation — mais aussi une population en péril, qui peine à se rétablir malgré toutes les protections mises en place. Au fil des sons, des archives, des données scientifiques et des savoirs autochtones, cet épisode dévoile ce que le béluga représente pour le fleuve… et pour nous.

A relative newcomer to the world of ornithology, he uses both his work and his free time to share his passion for biodiversity, particularly birds. Andrea Gress (she/her) secretly thinks Piping Plovers are better than all the other birds...studied Renewable Resource Management at the University of Saskatchewan. She pivoted towards birds, after an internship in South Africa. Upon returning, she worked with Piping Plovers in Saskatchewan, and then as the Ontario Piping Plover Coordinator. Years of sharing her love of plovers with beach goers has turned into a full time communications role with Birds Canada.

Gabriel dislocated his shoulder while on Vacation in Tadoussac, Quebec. OUCHY MAMA! Gabriel also participates in a clinical trial and gets a lab technician in trouble with his superior. David et Jennifer ont fait le pari de quitter le sud de la France pour tout recommencer au Canada avec leur petit garçon Jules. Tout a commencé par un documentaire sur les baleines de Tadoussac et de fil en aiguille l'idée a germé jusqu'à réaliser le rêve de leur fils de rencontrer ce mammifère marin au large du Saint-Laurent. Ce couple d'aventuriers revient sur les démarches du PVT en famille au Canada, les démarches à l'arrivée et notamment la recherche d'un travail, d'un logement et bien sûr l'intégration du petit Jules dans cette nouvelle vie au Québec. Ils sont passés de la chaleur de Toulouse au froid canadien avec une facilité déconcertante. Pari réussi

Aujourd'hui je suis face à Esther Blier, directrice générale du ROMM (Réseau d'observation des mammifères marins), basé à Rivière-du-Loup et à Robert Michaud, directeur scientifique du GREMM (Groupe de recherche et d'éducation sur les mammifères marins), basé à Tadoussac. On parle... BALEINES: quelles espèces on a chez nous, et quels genres de projets on mène en ce moment?  On en discute avec ces deux experts à la tête d'importantes organisations dédiés à ces géants des mer, et on découvre comment le grand public peut être mis à contribution pour les protéger. Tadoussac seaport was founded in 1599 when two Frenchmen acquired a fur trade monopoly from the King of France, Henry IV. They built the settlement at the confluence of the Saguenay and Saint Lawrence rivers in today's Canadian province of Quebec.
