In this episode of Gatherings, we welcome writer and mythic guide Carly Mountain, author of Descent and Rising. Together, we explore the ancient Sumerian myth of Inanna, a powerful narrative of descent, embodiment, and feminine transformation. Carly shares how the myth mirrored her own personal journey and why it continues to speak to modern women facing burnout, identity shifts, or creative rebirth. We explore the myth's cultural resurgence, its symbolic contrast to artificial intelligence, and its call to reclaim erotic intelligence, surrender, and embodied wisdom. Carly reframes surrender not as weakness but as the courage to meet what's real—and sees descent not as failure, but as the doorway to collective healing. For those navigating inner thresholds, this episode may serve as both map and medicine. For more information about Carly's book and workshops: Writer, Psychotherapist and Women's Initiatory Guide.

In this enlightening episode, Dr. Troy Caldwell, a retired MD psychiatrist and practicing spiritual director, delves into the spiritual theology's spiral path, a model depicting the journey towards spiritual growth and union with God. Discover how this ascending spiral serves as a metaphor for our movement toward divine consciousness and the likeness of Christ. Dr. Caldwell explains the three fundamental stages of this spiritual journey, known as the 'three ways': the purgative, illuminative, and unitive ways. He highlights the trials and triumphs of each stage, drawing from renowned mystical teachings and historical figures in Christianity, such as Evelyn Underhill and St. Teresa of Avila. Engage in a reflection on personal transformations with guests sharing their profound experiences. Hear diverse perspectives, including the once-born mystics who feel an innate connection to the divine from birth. Finally, the conversation touches on how understanding these spiritual stages can enhance our everyday relationships and lead to a deeper acceptance of self and others.

Spiral Path Farms is celebrating the 31st season of its Community Supported Agriculture Program (CSA). This farm is also one of two big organic farms in Perry County. Bethany Hinkle has been the CSA manager for two years. “So, a CSA is a relationship of mutual support and commitment between a local farm and its community. So as a member, you help support the farm for the duration of the growing season. And then the cost of your produce is locked in at the time you join and in return, our family and farm crew do all the work necessary to plant, grow, harvest, wash and deliver your produce.” CSA offers a medium and full share size for CSA members. “So, if full shares are getting, say, four pounds of potatoes, mediums might get two pounds of potatoes or in corn season, they might get a dozen years versus six years or a bigger watermelon versus a smaller watermelon. And then aside from size, you can also choose how long you are signing up for.” The season lasts for about 35 weeks and runs from April to December. “It’s another one of those things that often sets us apart as a lot of local farms aren't able to quite extend their season that late into the winter or early into the spring. So, it's very seasonal in the spring. We'll have our leafy green. We'll have spinach, arugulas, strawberries, rhubarb. And then in the summer we'll have tomatoes, zucchini, cucumbers, our melons, our sweet corn. And then we have a third option that summer season is the 20 weeks from June to mid -October. And then we have a third option for people that just want to try us out. It's called our sampler and they can just sign up for one month and see if they like receiving the produce and if they can use the produce and if they want to continue on with the program.” Support WITF: https://www.witf.org/support/give-now/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The Michael Yardney Podcast | Property Investment, Success & Money
It's the beginning of a New Year, so I'd like to take a step back to reflect on the rollercoaster that was 2024 in the housing markets and gear up for what promises to be an equally fascinating 2025. Today, I'm joined by Nicola McDougall, chair of PIPA – the Property Investment Professionals of Australia, who has her finger on the pulse of what's happening in our housing markets as well as a good understanding of all the various players in the property industry. Nicola and I discuss the unexpected developments in the Australian property markets throughout 2024, the implications of interest rates on my investment strategies, and the ongoing rental crisis. We also explore the challenges we face as property investors and the impact of government policies on the market, and we share our predictions for the property market in 2025. Takeaways 2024 was a year of unexpected market conditions but general market resilience. Interest rates are a significant factor affecting property investment and will create a year of 2 halves in 2025. Melbourne's property market has struggled due to various factors. Government policies have made it more challenging for investors. Investors play a crucial role in providing rental accommodation to one third of Australians. The rental crisis has been exacerbated by a reduction in investors. A national outlook is essential for successful property investment as market conditions vary significantly across different regions. Predictions for 2025 suggest continued market fragmentation. Understanding market cycles is key to navigating property investment. In this episode, I'm sharing with you my reflections on the past months while I went on hibernation. Earlier this week, with one of my mentors we were reflecting on the past year since we started working together and the insights and beauty that I was able to name was heart-blowing. I'm going deep into what the spiral path means for me and how I've been walking it in the times I've felt confident, alive, and grounded, and in the times I've been scared, pushing, and doubtful. Yesterday I shared a story about what extreme mountain climbing and studying ancient teachings have in common. In the process, I shared a bit about the Ka Ta See Spiral Path. You can read the post here:Today I am sharing a talk by Kay about the Spiral Path, which goes into more depth and detail about what it is and why one would want to walk it.At one point, Kay talks about how you can listen to this story and hear it just on a surface-level understanding, but what it really means is that this is what will save the human race. And it is what is going to bring a lot of health and life back to the Earth. She also says it is the most fantastic journey a human can experience. And last, she talks about how time is not what we've been led to believe. And we do have parallel timelines. We can create whatever we want for our timeline.I hope you enjoy listening!I have included the full transcript below if reading is more your thing. And, as I said yesterday, it would be lovely to meet you on this path one day.Enjoy!Love and Song,Helmutwww.katasee.comWalking The Spiral Path - Transcript from Kay's talk. This is what is going to save the human race. The going from South to North and then West to East is describing the first tasks of starting this journey of Ka Ta See, of waking up. And we start in the South with our Song. You have to have your Song first or everything else is really difficult and often doesn't make any sense and very hard to stick to because you don't have any reason to stick to trying to learn any of it. So, Song first. So we have the Song Ceremony. Then we go to the North for the next major ceremony. That's Life Energy, Dance of the Earth Fire Serpent. The Direction Ceremony, that's the beginning part of the Earth Fire Serpent initiation, it's part of the initiation. And it's teaching you about this experiential learning and feeling the differences that come, in a non-linear way. You're feeling non-linear things when you're feeling the sensations of the different directions. But in the North, it's all about Life Energy and opening up the life energy channel. Then we go to the West. The West is about death, and what death is.We have many different kinds of deaths, many different kinds of birth and rebirth. And with these teachings, we're talking about the death of our beliefs, our blind beliefs, the death of masks. The death of who we thought we were, our old identity, and what we thought we were. And so we're exploring that. Then we go to the East and that is sunrise, and illumination, and rebirth, and awakening. When we've done the first three, we have the chance to see, to feel, to experience and learn from the nonlinear, to go through the veil. It's the doorway, it's that veil that opens up in the East and allows us to perceive everything non-linear that we have been blind to before. And when we talk about our long life journey, we are going in this spiral. We're going from whatever direction we managed to start with first in our own psychological growth and our getting rid of our different beliefs and masks and things that are hindering us and keeping us in the box. We have our Song, we're traveling around the clock, clockwise, with our Song, as our torchlight. Domano used to call it the Torchlight, the guide, that we have something to hold on to, we have something, about our true selves that we have learned and experienced. And so that's our anchor. It's what allows us to be able to go through the other directions and around and around and around the spiral and stay with it, stay coherent, not go crazy, not give up and get to the center. The next place that we will end up at, the South is where we're kind of starting, the next place is the West. And we will see lots of mask and blind belief activity coming up. A lot of bungee cord mask action coming up into our face, giving us that opportunity to see it, realize what it is. It's not real, it's our pretend self, our pretend world. It's all the masky stuff, the culturalization, and it needs to die. All that stuff needs to just not be anymore. And that frees us to go further down the spiral and we'll end up in the North and this is more to do with life and aliveness, and life energy and our connectedness. And then into the East, this is more waking up another step, a bigger, brighter step of understanding illumination. And because we are Earth humans and we; we are the crazy folks that we are, instead of going on a really steady, steady march from one clockwise to the next that's in line, and the next that's in line, we jump around and some times we even jump backwards, especially in the beginning. We'll get all the way to, you know, really cool stuff, real cool experiences and understanding, and then, here comes the bungee cord of the masks and the blind beliefs, and we slipp off into old, old habit, old thinking, old feeling, old fears, old angers, old behaviors, we bungeecorded it back into old way of being. And that means wherever we were we've now bungeed back to the West and we got to go through some West, got to go through some mask evaluations and being honest with ourselves. We can't get out of the west until we're really honest with ourselves about all these blind beliefs and these the behaviors that they have created. We've created out of our insistence on being dogmatically devoted to these blind beliefs about ourselves, about others, about the world, about everything. And we need to learn as much as we can when we're in the West. When we have sunk into the pit, into the mask pit. We need to understand that we have our Song, we have the torchlight we have the Song and that becomes like a ladder, and you could climb right out of that pit. You could fly out of it if you want. We have that capability. We just have to realize that all of that is not real. It's make-believe, and we just have to choose not to believe in it and not be willing to stay there and get back to our Song, turn our attention purposefully to our Song, so we feel it. That's why we would go put on a recording of a Song Ceremony and do the Song Ceremony. Gratitude Ceremonies often help a lot too. Forgiveness Ceremony helps a lot. But the Song Ceremony really hones in to you experiencing you. That's what it's all about, learning who and what you really are, because the who and the what that we really are, is completely different than anything that we used to hold in our ideas and our beliefs, in what the culture has said is real and who we are, what we are, and what we should be, and have to be. It is anchored, shackled by fears and anger. We can believe in those things and stay there as long as we want. All of us, all of us have come into this lifetime as a physical human being with one of the goals, one of our purpose in life items on our purpose in life list is to go to sleep. Spiritually, psychologically, go to sleep, learn the culture, be inculturated, be blinded. All of us. So that when the time came for us, we would learn that there was something else and that this stuff wasn't real, and that we were living in a little cardboard box with no windows and no doors. We have a TV screen, we got the headset on and the masks are feeding us lies through the screen, through the headset. And we think that's reality. We think that's what's real and all there is. But when we start to question and start to realize there's something else, something else here, and I'm trapped in a little box and I'm blinded, and I got to get out, got to get out. Because if you're here [in the Ka Ta See studies], one of the items you have on your purpose in life list is to do everything you can to wake up out of that cultural box, truly spiritually, psychologically, wake up and be totally free. And then you start working at it. But when we have these adventures diving back into the West it's so that we can learn what is holding us back. What is it that has built our box?And we want to get out, we want to start tearing the box apart, throwing it away and seeing what's on the outside of that box. Cause there's reality out there. Reality about yourself, about others, about the whole world, about the universe. We've known it before in other lifetimes, other experiences, we've been totally awake. Every time we die, we're totally awake. So we chose that so that we could really, really learn it, understand it, and then learn how to wake up, learn what it takes to wake up, learn the experience of it and record that in the total human consciousness so that it's available for every human being now and all generations after. So it makes it easier and easier for all the generations to come to wake up, to be awake, and stay awake, and maybe never go to sleep at all. Be born here on Earth as a human and never go to sleep. Have an entire lifetime here, awake with all that could bring, all the possibilities that that could have with it. Which are astounding. Our capabilities are endless, they're mind blowing. What we have in us, in our, as some would say in our DNA, our whole perfect blueprint possibilities are just astounding. All the fun stuff that people call fantasy and make believe and fairytales, like teleportation, and certainly telepathy, telekinesis, all kinds of stuff, all that stuff. It's real. And we have the capacity to learn how to do it, but we have to be awake to do it. We don't have the ability to learn or do these things unless we're awake. And the more awake we get, the more we learn about these things, the more we're able to do these things. And that's the goal. That's the goal of waking up.The more awake you get, the more love you perceive and feel, and experience everywhere around you coming to you, coming into you, going from you to other. The more beauty you are able to perceive and understand and experience. The more knowledge you're able to access. The more knowledge you're able to understand, cause it's there, it's all there. It's all around us.But we will have the capacity to understand it and be able to utilize it in a good way, win-win-win way. There's always more to learn and to experience. We get our learning, our konwingness from experience. As we go around that spiral, we have this opportunity to learn so many different things and we're jumping around the spiral a lot.We have moments in ceremony usually, or just one of those, those moments of awakeness, where we popped into the center of the spiral. We're right at the foot of that tree. And we are experiencing and understanding things without any hindrance of any of the cultural lies or dictates or the fears or the angers or the masks or the beliefs, none of it, doesn't exist in the center of the spiral. And we have a moment of experiencing it.And then we hop back to whatever spot on the spiral we're at. But eventually we are making our way round, round, round, round round, to the center. And we have those four major directions that most people, most cultures deal with. Not all cultures deal with above and below, especially the above, because the above has to do with pure nonlinear. It has to do with the Akasha, the element of Akasha. And that was extremely secret. In Buddhist and Hindu teaching, Egyptian teachings, pretty much all over the planet. They teach about the other elements, but you had to get really high up, high level teachings to learn about the element of Akasha, and Akasha is where the blueprint is housed. And that's the blueprint for everything. When something is becoming manifest into this world, it first is a spark of thought, of idea, of picture, inspiration. Some cultures call it a seed. And that is coming from other dimensions into our 3d time-space dimension. And it attracts matter, and the first degree of matter that it attracts is Akasha with the blueprint. And that's the blueprint of what that's going to be. And then it attracts the other elements one at a time and they kind of fill in the blueprint. And when the earth element is absorbed, becomes part of that blueprint and the picture, it becomes fully physical. That is how everything that is physical in our 3d time-space comes into being, those are the steps, and we are utilizing those steps every minute that we're alive. We're, as a lot of people often say we are creating our own selves, our body, we're creating our own reality. We're creating together, the physical reality, the world around us. We're manifesting it.And we do this with our thought and emotion and our spirit, the feeling quality of our spirit. When we're asleep and we're in our blind beliefs and we're in our masks, the masks are running the show, they're at the driver's seat, got their hands on the wheel, guiding everything that we do, controlling, dictating everything that we do, think, say, feel, we are manifesting things that have to do with those beliefs, we're bringing them into physical reality. We're bringing those kind of events, into physical reality. If we're living in great fear, then we bring more fear into reality. We bring things to be afraid of into physical reality. If we're angry, same thing, we just bring more anger into this world and we're creating the likelihood of having events in our lives and having things and people in our lives that are just like what we're experiencing inside ourselves, all that fear, all the anger, all the depression, all the powerlessness, all that garbage, we attract that to us. It already exists here in 3d time space, it's already being part of other people. We attract those people to us. Like attracts, like.So if we're learning how to wake up and unplug and get rid of, just let go, let it dissolve into subspace that it originally came from, all of those beliefs, all the thoughts, all the different energies, all the anger and the fears, all of it, letting it go getting out of the box, waking up. Learning about our Song. Learning who we are and experiencing, purposefully, choosing to experience our own Song, our own beingness with all of its love, mountains and mountains and super cosmic tsunamis worth of love and beauty. That's bringing with it all kinds of stuff. Beauty, connectedness, coherence on and on. When we are feeling that and experiencing that and living that we are able to perceive it all around us. It's in everything. It's in the air, it's in the space, the field it's in all the plants, it's in all the animals, it's in all the rocks and the dirt, and the water, and air, planet itself. And the sun, and even the moon and everything. Full of the aliveness full of consciousness, full of love, full of beauty, full of connectedness, everything sharing one to the other, all this love and beauty and knowledge and all the daily gossip, what's happening today in your neighborhood. From all the different stars and the galaxies and the space, the field, all the spirits, all connected, all sharing, all loving, beauty. The universe loves beauty, loves love, and wants more, more of it. All kinds. A lot of diversity, the universe loves diversity. When we are experiencing those things and living that, being it inside us, feeling it, seeing it living it, we attract more. Like attracts like. And the new whatever's, molecules or whatever, that is coming from subspace into 3d time-space and becoming physical, it's becoming that. It's becoming the base of what life is here. Our universe started with love. It's all created out of love. Love and beauty. So what we draw into this universe as creation, because we are piece of creator, it will be of those qualities. And that's a world that we want to build inside ourselves, as ourselves, the world, a new world for here on Earth, for humans.People have been talking about this new world for many, many, many, many millennia, hundreds of thousands of years. On this world, this planet and others. That knowledge has been passed down, this is possible, and this is the time. And we could choose. We always have choice, even when we're asleep and we think we don't have any choice, we have choice. We can choose to get out of it. In the beginning, sometimes it's a struggle, it's hard to tell the difference. That's why we do the Song Ceremony. That's why everything starts in the spiral in the South with the Song Ceremony. Learn who you are and what you are. The most important step, biggest step. And that will take you on the road to completely waking up. Following your Song. Feeling it, experiencing it. And we learn from experiencing. The more you can experience your Song, the more you'll learn about who you are, who others are, what the world is, who all the rest of everything is and how it all ties together and connects together what your place is there. It's the most fantastic journey that a human can experience. And we came here to feel the asleep side, to experience it, understand it, feel and experience, go through the waking up and be able to be awake and give that gift to others. So that's what the spiral journey is. That's what it's about. That's what it means.Takes persistence and love and honoring of self and other, the love of self and other, the love of beauty. The love of love.Thank you. This is food for my soul. Thank you. You are so very, very welcome. Thank you for the question, because you know, it sounds like a nice little story, and if you'd wanted to take the story of the directions and and spiral at surface value, two dimensionally, it's very simple and yeah, it just doesn't really mean a whole lot at that level. Oh, well, just another story. But, what it really means, this is, this is what is going to save the human race. This is what is going to bring a lot of health and life back to the Earth.Just like the gratitude ceremony this morning, picturing, picturing and loving and being so grateful for this incredible beauty of huge numbers of different animals, and huge diversity of different animals and different trees, different plants and different soil groups and ecologies and perfect pure water and air.And it's, it's all here. It's here already. It exists already and feeling it, you have to feel it as though it's already here. We're feeling the world of the center of the spiral, and it does already exist. Time is not what we've been led to believe. And we do have parallel timelines. We can create whatever we want for our timeline. Get full access to Ka Ta See at katasee.substack.com/subscribe

We continue our chat about the "Second Half of Life". Many of you resonated with the topic so we wanted to keep delving into this important time in our lives. Specifically in this episode we wanted to discuss The Church. Maybe you've found it hard to connect in the ways you use to? Perhaps you've felt let you down or dissolutionment toward The Church? You are not alone! Let's talk about how this is can be a 'normal life cycle' and what God has for you in this season of life. Listen in: "Second Half of Life" S3 E110. Referenced: Dr. J. Forgiving yourself means letting go of the feelings and emotions associated with what went wrong. You let go of any resentment or anger. It may be easier to do this when forgiving others, but many find it hard to do this for themselves. Betterhelp.com. What causes us to prolong self-forgiveness? Why is it easier to forgive another–and yet, difficult to forgive ourselves? Can we find joy in the chaos? Is it our own anger, bitterness, and stubbornness? When these feelings are felt, it's a sign for us to forgive–ourselves or others. Focus on the emotions. It's a process of learning to forgive ourselves. Sometimes it's difficult to understand why we feel a certain way. Is it part of our story or experiences? Understanding how we feel is opening a door to forgiveness. I practice mirror work. If I can look at myself as I state my mistake/misunderstanding, I can move on. This is difficult because we don't want to feel at fault or vulnerable. Yet, vulnerability is strength. I write feelings/emotions down when I find them challenging to accept. Journaling or my pros & cons list goes something like this example. Why do I feel this way? Then I list pros & cons. Pro: They needed to hear how they made me feel. Pro: I felt empowered for the moment. Con: I hurt them more than I imagined. Con: I responded too strongly to what the situation merited. Another method is I write a letter to myself using handwriting. Not a computer/phone or any electronic means. I address the wounded child within me. Can I forgive that child? Sometimes, it takes several letters before I can see the truth within myself. Practicing kindness to myself can lead to letting go and eventually joy. We've all heard that we are our worst critics and we can be. For me, it's the constant repetition of the situation. It repeats the many scenarios that could have happened. Could've, Should've, and would've are not our friends. It can take us down a rabbit hole which I have found to cause anxiety over a situation that might happen. I ask myself what caused the breaking point? Was I too tired? Not enough sleep? Not feeling well? Did they push my buttons when I needed support? I've learned the hard way to bite my tongue because I came from the philosophy that honesty is the best policy. What I have learned is that it is not. Kindness is the best policy because honesty is just an opinion. One person's truth is not mine and vice versa. I have found that just pulling off the bandage and apologizing and making amends is best for me. What can you do to fix the situation? Be sincere in the apology. Know we might not remedy the circumstances, but understand that we all make mistakes and we need to learn how to forgive ourselves. I've had a situation where I was wronged. They never apologized and even though I have forgiven them, the relationship changed. There was a loss, and I realized my part was my perceptions were not in line with the truth of our relationship. I needed to be responsible for my beliefs. What part have you had in a relationship? Was it your perceptions? Were your needs not being met? Were your needs in alignment with theirs? Expectations of others can lead to misunderstandings. Expect what is true and forgive yourself when your perceived needs are not met. Self-forgiveness is a learning process and the sooner we learn the process, the calmer and faster we can move on. "Choosing to forgive ourselves is a great act of compassion. Our compassion towards ourselves will radiate out into the world towards others. You will experience peace, joy, and humility. Your vibrational energy will rise. There are so many benefits to Self-Forgiveness. I have come to learn that healing is truly from the inside out." Belinda Haverdill from Spiral Path. There's a list of various in-depth articles that can help in your journey to self-forgiveness in the notes. The poem for this week is: Alliance from The Inspire Me Series: Book 1 & 2 and will appear in my upcoming book. Inspire Me: Awakening Dreams. This poem also appeared in the June podcast under expectations. Alliance Sometimes my essence aches because of the many adventures and events others have had without a mention, and I wasn't there. Is it me? Is the perception of what they sense I am determining my behavior, my thoughts? We spoke of holiday two summers long set for the third. The third visit around the sun and I asked when are we going? I don't know, was the answer. Facing the truth—via social media as I view the celebratory drink in hand with another. Visiting the places of visual beauty, of distant land we planned. Why not explain? Why falsehood? A sadness took over me. Was it them? Was it me? Was it my perceptions of childhood memories that stood in the way of the truth? A truth that hasn't existed in decades. A long ago feeling attached to a person whom I've surrendered my alliance. Taking responsibility for my emotions as I breathe and let go. Let go of my ideas of the past. Do I blame them? No, I'm accountable for my beliefs. Will we plan again No. Our characters detached the blinders I wore since childhood. Abandoning my memories and allowing myself permission to move on. Many blessings. At the heart of the spiral path is conditioned co-production which at heart means "changingness". This "changingness" can be creative (leading to more and more beneficial mental states) or reactive (cycling from pleasurable to painful mental states). Subhadramati describes how the spiral path uses a creative “changingness” to grow out of our habitual habits and into liberation. Often women happen to exclude the most exquisitely feminine parts of themselves which happen to be the seat of our power, inner wisdom, and purpose. Often there is a lot of shame and guilt connected to our emotions, our pleasure, our cycle, and our femininity. Tamara shares with us how to reconnect to the power within ourselves when we think we have none left. She explains how we can use the huge potential for healing from our female ancestry line, what this has to do with womb healing, and how we can reconnect to that space within ourselves and nourish that wisdom that's already there. Tamara is the founder of The Spiral Path, a Yogini, and a mother. She lives on Vancouver Island in Canada surrounded by magical forests and a wild ocean. She has always had a deep and powerful relationship to nature, and specifically to the earth herself. She is on a mission to awaken womxn to the wisdom of their wombs and the spiritual power available through consciously relating to their cyclical nature. _____________________________________________________________________________ LINKS TO TAMARA Website: www.tamaratiana.com Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/tamara.tutt Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tamara_tiana/ _____________________________________________________________________________ LINKS MENTIONED IN THE INTERVIEW Yoni Mudra: https://www.brettlarkin.com/yoni-mudra/ The Spiral Path Program: https://tamaratiana.com/the-spiral-path-2/ Mark Wolynn / Inherited Family Trauma: https://markwolynn.com/ The episode about Female Archetypes (german): https://andrinatisi.com/episode-015/ _____________________________________________________________________________ WHERE YOU CAN FIND ME www.andrinatisi.com www.instagram.com/andrinatisi/ https://www.facebook.com/andrinatisiLIFECURATION _____________________________________________________________________________

Practising Buddhism (so much harder than understanding it) involves breaking the chain of the twelve negative links, or nidanas, by moving onto the spiral path, here described in its twelve stages. What is our usual reaction to things that are pleasant, things that are painful and things that are neutral? Sangharakshita gives us a clear description of the beginning of the Spiral Path, that of our response to Dukkha. While our world undergoes this time of upheaval, studying and practicing the arts of divination can help us navigate and plan for the roads ahead. Each month, host JoAnna Farrer (Assistant HPS of the North Wyldewood Coven, in the Temple of the Spiral Path) will interview a different expert on divination, ranging from Geomancy, Tarot, Astrology, Oracles, Runes, and more, and we want you to be a part of the show! All podcast interviews will take place LIVE on Zoom, so you can listen in, and submit questions for our guest experts.-- Theme music: "Come with Me" by JoAnna Farrer. Also featuring Alasdair Fraser, Natalie Haas and Yann Falquet.-- Ending music: "Pollen Path" by Elana Low

M21 Wellness Guide Wellness Force Community Power Quotes From The Show Perceiving Love Where We Don't See It "This concept of a life journey is lost because we don't have the intent at hand which might be to know ourselves through self-discovery. The point of life is not to have a happy relationship or to make lots of money. The point is to have deeply explored what it is that we are. There is an essential signature energy that each of us brings to this collective. It's not unlike the very important role that each cell has in an organ." - Dr. Kelly Brogan The Best Way Out Is Through "It's fear that drives the victim story. So, can we use our fear to really leverage our emotions into full expression through our victim story? When we are ready, we can really begin to create our own container for ourselves so that nothing in the external world has to change. It invokes almost a self-parenting exercise where we've moved through enough of our fear-induced crisis to have discharged the feelings that frankly simply wanted to be felt." - Dr. Kelly Brogan Allowing Two Realities To Exist In A Relationship "It's ultimately not about being either right or wrong in a relationship. It's about being strong enough to feel the feelings that come with potentially being wrong or at least not necessarily being right. Can there be two realities that co-exist? That's really what's served my husband and me in our current relationship. We allow our realities to be separate." - Dr. Kelly Brogan Links From Today's Show Joe Rogan Experience #968 - Kelly Brogan Cured Nutrition WFR 300 Special Edition: Top Lessons Learned From 300+ Shows Byron Katie Alan Watts 206 Dan Pardi Ali's Story: Healing Bipolar Disorder and Suicidality 332 John Wineland Our Spiral Path Alan Watts - On Prickles and Goo Mystical Experience to Cure Childhood OCD Why To Stop Complaining Why “Being Emotional” Is Actually Good For Us, Our Children, And For Our Species As A Whole Leave Wellness Force a review on iTunes M21 Wellness Guide Wellness Force Community A Mind of Your Own Own Your Self A Time For Rain Vital Mind Reset Vital Life Project Dr. Kelly Brogan Facebook Instagram Twitter YouTube About Dr. Kelly Brogan Dr. Kelly Brogan is a holistic psychiatrist, author of the NY Times Bestselling book, A Mind of Your Own, Own Your Self, the children’s book, A Time For Rain, and co-editor of the landmark textbook, Integrative Therapies for Depression. I’m excited to share this episode of the Mother’s Quest Podcast with someone I deeply admire and whose recent book “Spiral: A Catalyst for Innovation and Expansion” was a revelation to me... speaker, author, thought leader, homeschooling mother, and CEO of the renewable energy start-up muGrid Analytics, Amy Simpkins. Before a self-described identity crisis brought her to the work she’s doing today, Amy was quite literally on the path to becoming an astronaut. After pursuing a degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics from MIT and a masters in Astronautical Engineering from USC, she began a 10-year tenure as an aspiring Spacecraft Systems Architect designing, integrating, and operating spacecraft at Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company. How she determined she no longer wanted to become an astronaut and the power of being truly seen by someone else, which led to her becoming a coach, are just a few of the topics we explore during our conversation. I first came to know Amy when I was facilitating a virtual “Power Circle” for the organization Emerging Women and Amy was a participant. Right away, I knew she was someone special, as she brought the insight of an engineer’s brain, a poet’s heart, and an alchemist’s life journey to every session. Using her unique gifts, Amy lights the way for so many of us with how she explains and embodies the iterative spiral path to life, motherhood, and entrepreneurship. And in this conversation, as we explored her wisdom and lessons learned along all the E.P.I.C. guideposts, it felt like we revealed together the creative genius, a quality she most admired in her mother, that is also inside of her. I left feeling more at ease than when I arrived, noticing the places and ways that I can bring more integration and awareness about the spiral processes in my life, and committed to making space, as Amy challenged me to do, to put down my phone, and sit in the pause and exploration of a question in my life, rather than rushing to a solution. I invite you to do the same right now...to push pause, really listen to this conversation, and create space for integration, curiosity, iteration, and creativity in your E.P.I.C. life. Much appreciation, P.S. Know someone who would love this conversation? Click forward now to pay this forward to a friend who may be interested. It's 2019 and after two months of solitude and quietude, I'm back podcasting and will vow to make 1 new podcast per week from now on, as my message is getting clearer and I see a clear need in helping others find their true path in a sometimes confusing world where some are still living in a very dense energy -- a veil of ignorance you might call it. For those who are opening up to their true path, it might serve you to hear some of my thoughts, experiences, and some light comparative research on the subject of the Spiral Path. I've been aware for some time that my path was an unfoldment of my higher self through layers of conditioning, resistance, and emotional material that was slowly revealing ME to me -- and not a straight line! Tune into this episode where I break down a loose framework for walking the Spiral Path of Unfoldment, a process of getting in touch with the Divine Feminine energy inside of you, whether you're a male or female. I have been influenced by the naturally occurring spiral in nature since my previous mentor introduced the Fibonacci sequence to our coaching work and presented it as a growth model. Since then, I've been more in tune to my natural unfoldment, rather than forcing it. Here are 7 distinctions for your reference throughout the episode: 1. Movement - getting into our bodies and feeling spirit moving us is the first step. For me, the desire to find a dance community and high-level creatives allowed me to take bold steps in my life, moving from the East Coast to L.A., and then going south to Central America where I've lived for over a year and a half now. 2. Divinity/Intuition - taking steps toward my true nature moved me closer to my core, my heart. As I began to experience myself as Divine, the intuitive voice opened up to guide my life and give me the feeling of being supported. 3. Natural Rhythm -- whether you follow the planetary cycles in Kabbalah, which is my training, or the Wheel of the Year in the Pagan tradition, there is a universal force guiding our movements when we tap into these energies. 4. Flow -- the internal and emotional freedom to walk your true path unencumbered by having society's approval or not and feeling the harmony of agreeing to let life move through you. 5. Allowance -- your openness to what life is offering you; accepting things as they are. As you liberate yourself from personal preferences and your own resistance to your evolution, life begins to work. 6. Capacity -- as you open up your capacity to allow all of your experiences, expand your awareness and increase your ability to focus on what's important, you become available for your Divine nature to give you more and more guidance. 7. Creativity -- as your openness and availability increases, it's only natural for your self-expression to begin to take shape in some form. Now that you know how to allow it, recognize that the creativity energy, sometimes sexual creative energy, is now flowing through you. The temptation is to release this energy prematurely (pun intended), or what we could call "resolving tension." Allowing it to take shape, embracing the ebb and flow of life, being where you are (even when it seems like you're off track) will soon all make sense to you that you're right where you need to be! Keep walking the spiral path and unfolding! Mike Brownback farms at Spiral Path Farm in South-Central Pennsylvania with his wife, Terra, and sons Will and Lucas. Spiral Path farms over seventy acres on more than 300 acres of land that they own. Serving two farmers markets, and 2,000-member CSA, and a substantial wholesale business with Wegmans grocery store, they farm all of their acres organically, and have been certified organic since 1994. Mike shares the recent history of Spiral Path Farm and the return of his sons to the operation. We talk about how they’ve come back to the farm, and how Mike and Terra have integrated them into the operation, including the unconventional details of how they keep the communication channels open and everyone headed in the right direction. Mike also shares how he, Terra, and his sons have divided up the responsibilities for managing employees, and the guiding philosophy and daily actions that have helped them retain several employees for over a decade. We dig into the production side of the farming operation, as well. Mike digs into his strategies for growing nutrient-dense, flavorful foods, including the nuts-and-bolts of the composting and cover cropping techniques that work together on the farm to build carbon and soil life. We also discuss farming on the contours, how they harvest and make the most use of the water that falls on the farm, and their approach to salad mix production and large-scale season extension. Perennial support for the Farmer to Farmer Podcast is generously provided by Vermont Compost Company and BCS America.
Abandonment by a caretaker breaks the heart of the child who is ignored, dismissed, or truly left behind. The desire to assuage this once-broken heart leads many adults into escapism, distraction, and unhealthy relationships. This desire can be refocused to lead us to the first step onto the spiral path. At its heart the spiral path brings us to understanding presence and our own inner embrace. This week, host and shaman, Christina Pratt, continues this exploration of how we can use shamanic skills to cultivate presence in body, mind, heart and soul. When we succeed in cultivating presence where there was only fear, we emerge from the spiral path able to intimately connect and joyfully engage with friends, family, lovers and our self.
Fear of abandonment is often at the root of the poor quality decisions made by otherwise mentally healthy people. The cycle of abandonment, betrayal, and heartbreak is often learned in childhood and repeated in adulthood. For the adult with helping spirits and shamanic skills, abandonment is actually the first step on the spiral path that brings us to understanding presence in the way that only a heart, once-broken, can embrace. Join host and shaman, Christina Pratt, as she explores how to use shamanic skills to engage the spiral path, gain the allies that lie at wait in your discomfort, and discover the pleasure of pure presence at the heart of it all.
In this episode we’re joined by Lauren Renee Hotchkiss, seminarian and musician, to talk about the role of music in spiritual practice, both Christian and Pagan. How does music touch our hearts? What music touches our spirit, and how can music help us through the difficult times? We also talk about activism, including the recent Bay Area protests for #blacklivesmatter, and about how both in the Pagan and Christian community we have our extremists. Lauren Renée Hotchkiss is a Christo-Pagan musician, writer, and seminary student who attends the Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley. She has played all around the Bay Area, and is currently playing in the band at Grace North Church in Berkeley for Sunday services and monthly labyrinth services, and in Chapel and Taize services at The Pacific School of Religion. She also plays regularly in the Taize services at Newman Hall, Berkeley, and the Metropolitan Community Church in San Francisco. As a Pagan, she is an experienced priestess, cantor and musician who has worked with the various covens and circles of the Fellowship of the Spiral Path, as well as with OBOD and North Bay Reclaiming. Bradford C. Collins, Ph.D. is the co-founder and co-director of the Venus Rising Association for Transformation, Venus Rising University, and the Transformation House Process at the Isis Cove Community Retreat Center in western North Carolina. He talks about how he's interested in exploring personal change within the context of community, and the best way to change the old, self-defeating behavior patterns that we carry around with us. The primary modality that he's interested in is Shamanic Breathwork™, since he's personally experienced a lot of transformation, but has also seen people heal from a large range of different traumas. He talks about the range of cathartic movement that people experience during breathwork and how it helps to release the trapped emotions that are stored within the cells of our body. Collins also talks about the changes that he saw in the participants in the 28-day Accelerated Transformation and Training Program for Shamanic Ministers & Shamanic Breathwork™ Facilitators that happened between March 27 to April 23rd, 2011. The biggest change that he saw was that people were more embodied. He also describes the five initiations of that are included within the Shamanic Healing Initiatory Process (aka S.H.I.P) including The Spiral Path, Family of Origin, The Shadow, Sacred Marriage and Sacred Purpose. He explains whey there's a focus on "recovery from whatever ails you," which could include addictions such as alcoholism, substance abuse, co-dependency, workaholism, food, Internet, etc. And he further explains and defines what he understands as "co-dependency." Finally, Collins talks about The Transformation House, the Isis Cove community, changing the world one psyche at a time, and how he sees the work that he's doing as helping people discover how to bring more meaning, purpose and belonging into their lives. In today’s FBA Podcast, “This Way Up – Living the Spiral Path” Saraha delivers a beautiful and engaging talk seeped in the Pali Canon. Leading with the Vatthupama, Simile of the Cloth, Sutta, Saraha gives us a very detailed look into the stages of spiritual development as described in the Lokuttara Paticcasamuppada Sutta – The Spiral Path.
We are all born with the potential to use our inner senses as well as our outer ones, to transcend the limitations of the selves we thought we knew. Altered states can be used for everything from relaxation to communication with the divine, expand our horizons, and enrich our lives. We can learn to cue ourselves to shift from one state of consciousness to another in a safe and disciplined way. Such training gives the sensitive person control, and the inexperienced or blocked individual the sense of security needed to let go. Diana L. Paxson has been teaching and writing about spiritual skills since the 1980's. She is a consecrated priestess of the Fellowship of the Spiral Path and a leader in the pagan community. Based in the San Francisco Bay area, she has conducted workshops all over the U.S. and in Europe. Diane's most recent book is TRANCE-PORTATION, published by Weiser Books, which teaches how to develop your own cues for shifting from one state of consciousness to another in a safe and disciplined way. She has also written TAKING UP THE RUNES, and is well known as the author of many novels with spiritual and legendary themes, including RAVENS OF AVALON, which continues the series started by her sister-in-law, Marion Zimmer Bradley. On a winter's eve close to the February full moon, I offered a sound healing and meditation here in my home town in Michigan. This is an excerpt from that evening. The second song you hear is O Rubor Sanguinis, which I dearly love and have recorded twice. It appears on both of CDs Mediation Chants by Hildegard of Bingen (newly re-released) and my album of live sound healings, Songs of Spirit.1. A Spoke Invocation of Sacred Space2. Sancta Maria an improvisation to invoke the Divine Feminine healing presence into the room.3. The Spiral Path of Healing (a little talk)4. O Rubor Sanguinis, a song which invites the listeners into stillness. 5. Chispas del Amore an improvised sound healing in Spanish (some of this is without text)6. Take a step to the side - a little talkWhat is coming your way from Spirit that you aren't expecting?7. An Unexpected Journey with Spirit (a sound healing experience) You may notice a bit of uneasiness at some points in this sound healing. That is intentional. The more sure we are of our path, the more difficult it is when Spirit and our Soul decide to create a new road for us. Here is a little sound healing to help you experience that journey. If you would like to receive notices of my concerts and workshops, or read a bit about my individual healing practice, see my website, www.healingchants.com. Naturally there is a newsletter you can sign up for, and you can see me sing on YouTube as well.
includes a song from Norma's album MEDITATION CHANTS of Hildegard von Bingen (order CD and mp3 download)GENERATING STILLNESS:Meditations for Peacefrom Thoth, Shesat, and the Ascended Masters, through Norma Gentile1. IntroductionMy guides remind me that peace is the result of inner stillness, connection and knowing oneself. When we spend time being who we are, we generate a quality of stillness that makes peaceful actions more appealing than violence. 2. Nature's Unconditional LoveThe Pure Energy of Nature is the most amazing tool for healing. It is a replenishing and rejuvenating energy for our bodies, and for our entire being and life-force. Our ability to manifest into form and the ability of our soul to create our body is hinging primarily on the Pure Energy of Nature. 3. Welcoming Archangel MichaelWhen I invoke AA Michael, I ask that the aspect of his energy which reflects how he is already supporting and connecting to your soul to step forward and be magnified. Sometimes this is also an opportunity for the person to become more consciously aware of the connection they already have to Archangel Michael or the other Archangels. 4. Conscious Agreements in Your Body and Our World (Shesat)The physical body registers sensations kinesthetically of what is going on all around us, two, three, four, five or six feet away from us. Oftentimes when something begins to manifest as illness or noticeable discomfort, we look at the body itself. We forget to look outside of the body, to where it is probably coming from; the subtle energy field two feet, three feet or more outside of our physical body. It is here also that our energies intersect with those with whom we have conscious and unconscious agreements. Most people have easily a dozen primary agreements between themselves and groups of people in their life.Simply by being in a human body, you carry an agreement of the quality of energy that you will manifest. As long as you are in that human body, the quality of energy that you have agreed to manifest here on Earth is present. That quality of energy resonates out, and is audible to everyone. While there are moments that it seems rather odd to simply sit still and do nothing, in that doing nothing you have the opportunity to turn within, and find that vibration that your soul has agreed to bring into the Earth plane, on behalf of humanity. 5. Linear Creation vs. Spiral Path of Spirit (Shesat)As more and more people within the Earth have embraced a linear way of creating, using their own personal energies to manifest, there has been a rise in ‘troubled waters.' Rather than telling Spirit what you want, try asking ‘What is it that your soul has ready to serve up to you on a platter right now?'6. from the CD MEDITATION CHANTS Spiritus Sanctus Vivificans Vita (Holy Spirit bestowing Life unto Life) sung by Norma GentileHoly Spirit, bestowing life unto life, moving in All.You are the root of all creatures, washing away all impurity, scouring guilt, and anointing wounds. Thus you are luminous and praiseworthy, Life, awakening, and re-awakening all that is.For All and forever, Amen. Music and Latin words by Hildegard von Bingen, (1098-1179)7. Meditation and Silent Energy HealingThe energy of the King or Queen that you truly are is the gift of your soul to you. 8. Stillness in Spirit brings RemembranceYour stillness draws forth the remembrance of stillness from those involved in the conflicts, the wars and the battles. It draws through them that remembrance of home, of where their body came from, the Pure Energy of Nature, of their soul which is within their body, and of the communion they share with you as humans here upon the Earth.9. Stillness and Releasing Meditations Allow your own stillness to move out to all those with whom you have connections and agreements. Not inflicting this stillness, but offering it as a remembrance. Then a Releasing Meditation, allowing what your body is ready to release to move homeward through Archangel Michael's energy.10. Releasing Sacred Space, and seeing what Spirit is Bringing to YouEach time we enter into Sacred Space and a magnified connection to Spirit, we must thank and let our Spiritual helpers return to where our body is most comfortable with them. Otherwise, our energy becomes depleted. These meditations are built to work over several days. As you enter into the meditation deeply, you may notice your ability to see what Spirit is presenting along the creative spiral increase. 11. Have you ever dreamed of making a pilgrimage on a sacred path, perhaps the famous Camino de Santiago? Join host Laurie Seymour as she delves into the Mysteries of spiral path pilgrimages, ley lines and serpentine spiral energy paths with Sarah Hoskin Clymer. Sarah walked the Camino when she turned 50. Sarah Hoskin Clymer is a pilgrim. She loves to walk. She walks almost daily, on local hiking trails in Colorado, on the ancient pilgrimage paths along the "dragon" ley lines of the Earth especially in Spain, England, and Cornwall, and on sacred spiral paths such as labyrinths. She walks to come home to herself, and the truth of who she truly is, to connect with the Earth and Spirit, and to live her life aligned with her soul's path. Her intention is always to walk In Love, As Love, For Love. Sarah leads Spiral Path Pilgrimage Walks & Retreats in Cornwall and Avalon in southwest England, as well as local labyrinth and Chakra Walks in Boulder, Colorado. She is currently creating a Bed & Breakfast Urban Retreat in her lovely 100-year old farmhouse that actually has two spiral paths - a labyrinth and a spiral Chakra Path on the property.
