Today I'm really excited about our next guest here on the Hockey Journey Podcast. Before this summer, I had no idea who Mike Duffy was, but slowly got to know him after a number of brief conversations we had the last few months. You see, Mr. Duffy wears many hats, but the one I got to see in action with him all summer was when he was training my boys as they prepared for this upcoming winter hockey season. Take a quick listen to some of Mike's professional skills - - Entrepreneur, Tactical Trainer, Assault Prevention Trainer, Certified Gun Safety Instructor, Personal Trainer, Martial Arts Instructor, Boxing Instructor, Public Speaker, Private Pilot, Model and Actor, and I know I probably miss a few other talents this guy has. I think I just tweaked my hammy thinking about how much time and energy went into pursuing all of those interests and passions. He's dedicated his life to empowering others, helping them optimize their health, well-being, and personal safety. He's a Master Coach in Nonverbal Communication, Mental Health and Resilience, Trauma Recovery, Emotional Intelligence, as well as Holistic Lifestyle and Nutrition, so we have a lot to talk about. Jay is usually a stag, but tells us the moments he finds himself leaning into more of a cuckold dynamic, and he joins to share sex stories about what it's like to kiss his wife goodbye as he hands her off to another man—and also what it's like to stay and play or document. With his first wife, a curiosity around threesomes and a TV special about the lifestyle led them into what used to feel like the secret underworld of swinging, and he was a hot commodity in the predominately white space, noticing undeniable size differences. He shares how his experience as a bull has informed his own turn-on, explains what “fuck licking” is, what he likes to have done to his nipples, and talks about what it's like to be a hotwife couple whose friends have no idea. Jay also talks about connecting through touch from a young age, how he developed his own masculine wisdom, his butch grandma's lesbian porn connection, how he and his wife manage their sex life with a newborn, and he and Wyoh share a fantasy for a play room with built-in lighting and camera setups.

She started the Healthy Buffalo Project in 2019 as a blog, resource, and encouragement for women to make steps towards their own personal safety and the safety of their family. Having six daughters, she has a huge desire to build up in women an awareness of the environment around themselves, an awareness of self, and an awareness of action when needed, not a false sense of security. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/warriormindset/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/warriormindset/support

Scott Base is a Martial Arts Instructor for Prime Martial Arts. What I like most about Scott is his ability to work with the community, be it via teaching a group of realtors self-defense or hosting a martial arts tournament for kids. In the past five years, Prime Martial Arts has hosted over 100 free self-defense classes for the Lawrence community. The more I think about this, the more I realize how cool it is to empower people and provide them with skills they need to feel safe in their daily lives. In this episode we talk about a variety of things, from learning how to use nunchucks to the most important things to know if you need to defend yourself. In addition, I am fascinated by Scott's ability to build community around martial arts - so I ask questions about that. Through mentoring and coaching, Scott has built a positive culture where relationships are built and people are growing.Shout out to everyone who is tuning in - and keep kicking butt. In this episode, myself and Clement Goh discuss his childhood and the culture he experienced in Singapore that created a feeling deep inside of himself that he was not enough to make his family proud. At a young age, he left home, moving to Canada to start a new dream. This led him to many life challenges that resulted in a new understanding of his worth and a passion that led him eventually to the development of ‘Buddy Adventures', an online life skills program that brings parents and children closer together. Clement has been a martial arts instructor for over a decade and specializes in gamification. It led him to his calling to unite families through nurturing play and getting them to create magical moments the children can use as life lessons in the years to come. By overcoming the feeling of not being enough, Clement is on a relentless mission to inspire parents and children to know they are enough as they are, so that there is a generation of stronger families and happier childhoods. In the day to day, he is a loving husband, proud doggy dad, and total geek. I am your host, Marci Nettles. I have had a lifetime of opportunities where I had the choice to Breakdown or Breakthrough. It is my hope this Podcast may become your light in the darkness, as you listen to the stories of people I consider “heroes.” Each one had a point where they too had to choose to either Breakdown or Breakthrough! It’s rare for someone to have two long and successful careers in any industry, and the people who do it bring a unique experience and perspective to the table. Greg Gale went from working as a martial arts instructor for 17 years to running a thriving mortgage business. Along the way, he learned the value of relationships and not missing out on the opportunities presented by what he calls “sliding door moments”. But his journey wasn’t easy. The tragic loss of his mentor was a moment that challenged him and taught him many valuable life lessons that have made him the leader he is today. In this episode, Greg shares his story, how he was inspired by martial arts, what pulled him into mortgage, and the lessons he’s learned along the way. Get in front of the people with the capacity to send you business and build a deep relationship with them. -Greg Gale Three Things You’ll Learn In This Episode The most important activity in our business: When the market becomes busy with refi deals, one of the first things LOs drop the ball on is Realtor relationships. We still need to carve out an hour or more to make the calls to check in with them. Lead generation is the lifeblood of our business, and it has to be a priority and a part of our daily routine. When LOs should get an assistant: Get an assistant based on a projection of your pipeline, not how busy you currently are. Even if our deal flow changes, our relationship nurturing has to stay the same. An assistant allows us to leverage other tasks in our business so we can focus on consistent lead generation and sales calls. How to build a stable mortgage pipeline: Success in this business is about the quality of our relationships, not the quantity. We need to build a solid base of people with the capacity to send us business and maintain deep relationships with them. Guest Bio: Greg Gale is a mortgage industry leader, business coach, and VP/Branch Manager of Nova Home Loans. Greg joined the mortgage industry in 2005. Prior to that, he was a personal trainer and martial arts instructor for 17 years. Greg notes that 20 years of martial arts, where persistence, honor, and integrity are the heart of daily practice, was a perfect lead into his role as financial advisor in the mortgage industry. The Gale Team at NOVA Home Loans is a full-service loan origination service, committed to providing innovative mortgage solutions and real estate strategies. In his role as team leader, Greg stresses the importance of integrity, a positive attitude, patience, creativity, and respect for all things. This team defines communication as one of the single most important elements in a successful loan transaction. They are committed to returning calls promptly, providing regular status updates, and being available as needed throughout the process. Greg and his team really listen to clients’ needs and then seek the best possible solutions, more often than not exceeding their client’s expectations. The team’s priority is to provide exceptional and memorable service. On a personal note, Greg is absolutely passionate about helping other people and is a regular contributor to the American Heart Association and Susan G. Komen Foundation. Greg is also a member of the National Association of Mortgage Brokers and the Arizona Association of Mortgage Brokers. Follow @greg_gale_ on Instagram.

Scott had been doing Krav Maga for over 22 years and has had his own practice for 2 years called Achieve family martial arts and fitness center. He’s also a PE teacher and a firearms instructor who lived in Hawaii. There's only one thing I love more than doing this podcast and that's when I learn something while I'm doing it. When I first met Scott we had immediately gravitated towards each other and I knew that it was because of the wealth of knowledge that he had to offer. This was probably the one occasion where you couldn't see my “thoughts become things” shirt because it was so cold that I had a big jacket on. However the law of attraction quickly became the topic of conversation which is why I had to have him on this show. Him and his wife are such a positive and influence one the thoughts become things movement that I had to get their take on how they're using it everyday and how they're teaching it to their kids. Scott’s wife Bonnie has remained positive throughout being diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder and she’ll be on a future episode to tell us how she got through it mentally, and found her silver linings. In this episode we talk about: -Thinking vs wishing. Which on is poison. -”Universal Rewards”. -Projecting positivity -Meditation -Having an attitude of gratitude -and more...

This week, I got to sit down and chat with Al Mennie to talk about his latest book Overcome or Succumb, a book all about facing fear, anxiety and panic, in a goal to conquer life. Anxiety and Fear effect millions of people to varying degrees across the world and appear to be a growing issue despite lots of research and resources available in how to handle them. Al believes his experience surfing some of the biggest waves on the planet has lead him to understand anxiety, fear and panic and allowed him to handle lots of everyday situations with a similar approach. Disclaimer: in this episode, Al shares some of his experience big wave surfing. By all means, do not try to do what Al does without the proper training, research and team. As Al would put it : "before practicing skills, be sure your equipment is well maintained and do not take risks beyond your level of experience, aptitude, training and comfort level." Back to my guest, Al Mennie. Al, is a true big wave legend, he's an expert in fear management. He's been at it for years. He is one of the rare surfers who was out on the lineup the same day that Garret McNamara set his 100ft world record in Nazaré. In fact, his name is in the Nazaré hall of fame! We talk about how to manage fear and Al shares his knowledge of how he apprehends surfing deathly waves such as Nazare and Mavericks. But beyond these physical and mental achievements that have placed Al in the elite club of big waveriders , Al is a true multipotenalite. He has written 5 books (and is about to publish his 6th), he is a model, he's an actor in a number of TV series, he's a stuntman, a motivational speaker, a martial arts teacher and runs a property development business! In our conversation we get to know Al a bit better. We talk about his latest book Overcome or Succumb, which is a gripping tale of how he prepares for big wave surfing, and how he manages to face fear in the most terrifying situations. Al also explains the positive effects of dealing with fear and how it has opened up countless opportunities. I pick Al's brains about what it's like to surf Nazaré, and his answer gave me shivers. We also take a while talking about Al's different skills that he's been flexing over the years which enable him to continue to live the dream of surfing and training for massive waves, and craft a balanced lifestyle. There's a lot of wisdom to be taken from this episode. I hope you enjoy it. Thank you Al for being such a delightful guest! Until next week, take care, have fun and enjoy the waves.
