Hawk breaks down the newly released Justice Department files revealing that Jean-Luc Brunel, the French modeling scout and one of Jeffrey Epstein's closest associates, was secretly negotiating with federal prosecutors in 2016 and was prepared to hand over incriminating photographs and testify about Epstein's sex trafficking operation. Brunel's lawyer told prosecutors his client had recruited girls for Epstein and was willing to walk into the US Attorney's Office in New York in exchange for immunity. Then Epstein found out. Emails now part of the document dump show Epstein immediately contacted Katherine Rummler, then a prominent attorney and later Goldman Sachs general counsel, who has since resigned. Epstein's outreach effectively shut down Brunel's cooperation, and prosecutors never pursued him further. More than 50 additional girls were trafficked in the three years that followed. The files also expose how Epstein used Brunel's modeling agency MC2, which Epstein helped bankroll with up to $1 million, as a vehicle to recruit foreign women, secure their work visas, and keep them financially dependent. A recruiter named Daniel Sead supplied girls from Sweden, Slovakia, France, and Russia. Virginia Giuffre had alleged Brunel trafficked girls as young as 12. Brunel was arrested in France in 2020 on rape charges and was found hanged in his cell in 2022. Epstein's nonprosecution deal in 2008, negotiated by then-US Attorney Alex Acosta, allowed the trafficking to continue for years. Julie K. "A saturated state is a state in which the conceptual or emotional object has absolute value, it is already stacked or closed to new meanings and therefore cannot undergo any kind of transformation. An unsaturated state, on the other hand, is a state in which the emotional or conceptual object is in an open state in which it is still open to transformation, to new meanings, to all kinds of change. What I think is interesting and important is to understand that one of the most difficult aims of working with traumatic objects is linked to this transformation from saturated to unsaturated states. Traumatic objects become fixed in a saturated state, which does not allow them to undergo any transformation within the psyche or within the therapeutic analytic process. The saturated state of traumatic events or objects is a frozen state in which therapy or analysis is used to preserve rather than intervene. This creates, in quite a few cases, a situation that I call false therapy or false analysis - a process, a therapeutic process in which very detailed materials are ostensibly presented, but in fact they are presented in a way that forces the therapist or  to either swallow them as they are, or vomit them up but not digest them because they are presented in a way that does not tolerate any intervention, any other point of view, any creation of movement within the given frozen narrative."   Episode Description: We begin with describing the difference between 'saturated' and 'unsaturated' memories - those that are frozen and without the freedom to reflect from those that contain the capacity to create new meaning. Dana emphasizes the importance of not simply collecting the particulars of a trauma, the 'notes', as much as attending to the nature of its delivery, the 'music' - "the way they tell the story." She presents a case involving 'parasitic language' where imitation of the other is at the level of fetishistic attachment lacking a voice of their own. In her countertransference she noted "I search for you - all I find is myself." We consider how this pseudo-relating induces a peculiar sense of closeness that ultimately contributes to a sense of claustrophobia in the analyst. She shares with us her personal story and reflects "Being a psychoanalyst doesn't mean giving up being a musician." When firefighters discovered the body of forty-year-old Terry King inside the charred remains of his Cantonment, Florida home in November 2001, they assumed the man had been asleep when the fire broke out and died as a result. Upon further inspection, investigators found that King hadn't died as a result of the fire, but from severe blunt force trauma to his head. S/he delves into he/r work utilizing shamanic techniques, physical stress, and rituals to reprogram the nervous system, including extreme experiences like being wrapped in wolf skins and suspended in a coffin. The conversation also touches on their journey towards pandrogeny, the concept of DNA as a control mechanism, and their quest for consciousness beyond the physical body, culminating in their belief in reincarnation and the search for a way to communicate beyond death. As records from the Jeffrey Epstein sex trafficking case begin to come forward from the Justice Department, we re-visit our conversation with Julie K. Brown, the Miami Herald reporter who dug most thoroughly and persistently into the case.

Sajini speaks with Rosanne about her unconventional career path and how it informed her research and teaching interests. Together, they ask questions about career paths, what career stability looks like, and how we can imagine a thoughtful and fulfilling approach to life and work.Rosanne Kennedy is a Clinical Assistant Professor at NYU's Gallatin School of Individualized Study, where she teaches and researches modern political theory, contemporary feminist theory, gender studies, continental philosophy, and Rousseau studies. Her dissertation, Rousseau and the Perversion of Gender, was awarded the Hannah Arendt prize for the Best Dissertation in Politics from the New School and the Best Dissertation in Women and Politics from the American Political Science Association. Her first book, Rousseau in Drag: Deconstructing Gender, was published by Palgrave in 2012. Her new book project, The Politics of Home: The New Domesticity and the Resurgence of Craft, tracks the affective and political dimensions of meanings of home, domesticity and craft and how such meanings are inflected by not only gender but sexuality, class, and race. She is especially interested in the leaky and porous boundaries between the intimate and the public, the longing for attachment alongside the desire to remain detached (refusing recognition and interpellation) and renewed interests in the haptic as a mode of thinking. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Christian ethnic cleansing survivors given new homes in Armenia Several families displaced by ethnic cleansing in their ancient Christian homeland more than two years ago were given new homes and plots of land on Tuesday through a charitable initiative seeking to help revitalize a rural Armenian mountain village, reports the Christian Post. Romans 12:15 says, “Rejoice with those who rejoice.” The Tufenkian Foundation has cut the ribbon on a pilot refugee village in Svarants, completing the first 10 of 20 new homes in the upper reaches of Armenia's mountainous Tatev Municipality, which borders Iran and Azerbaijan. The new homes, which come with adjoining plots of land and a barn, were built specifically to help families rebuild their lives around the agricultural and livestock work they were doing before Azerbaijan's 2023 invasion of Nagorno-Karabakh. It's a predominantly Armenian region known affectionately to Armenians as the Republic of Artsakh. After a months-long military blockade, more than 120,000 ethnic Artsakh Armenians were forced from their homes in September 2023, and most have lived for two years throughout Armenia with what Artsakh leaders say has been inadequate social integration.  Judge orders Trump to end National Guard deployment in DC On Thursday, U.S. District Judge Jia Cobb, a Biden appointee, ordered the Trump administration to end its monthslong deployment of National Guard troops to help police the nation's capital, reports the Associated Press. She asserted that President Donald Trump's military takeover in Washington, D.C., illegally intrudes on local officials' authority to direct law enforcement in the district. Trump had said the troops were needed to deal with rampant crime and violence in Washington and support federal immigration law enforcement efforts there. Pope Leo met with Illinois' pro-abortion, pro-perversion governor The stream of liberal clergy and scandalous public figures who are given audiences with Pope Leo XIV seemingly never comes to an end. Now comes news that pro-abortion Democratic Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker spoke with Leo for 40 minutes at the Vatican during a private meeting on Wednesday, reports LifeSiteNews.com. In the past, Pritzker has designated Illinois a “sanctuary state” for women seeking abortions, expanded access to chemical abortion pills, and approved policies sexual perversion activists have long desired. To top it off, Pritzker may sign a bill that would legalize physician-assisted suicide. According to Proverbs 6:17, one of seven things that God hates is “hands that shed innocent blood.” A Pritzker spokesman said that the audience with Leo was arranged by pro-homosexual Chicago Cardinal Blase Cupich, a man with whom he has had a long friendship. Neither Trump nor Vance not invited to Dick Cheney's funeral Political figures from across the aisle gathered Thursday in Washington, DC, for the funeral of former Vice President Dick Cheney — a key figure of pre-MAGA Republican politics, reports CBS News. The funeral, which was attended by two former presidents and all living former vice presidents, was a bipartisan who's who of Washington dignitaries yet with the notable absence of two of the country's current leaders. Neither President Donald Trump nor Vice President J.D. Vance were invited to the funeral. Cheney received full military honors at the invitation-only memorial service at Washington's National Cathedral. Attendees included former Presidents Joe Biden and George W. Bush, former First Ladies Jill Biden and Laura Bush, as well as former Vice Presidents Kamala Harris, Mike Pence, Al Gore, and Dan Quayle. George W. Bush: Dick Cheney was a serious man Former President George W. Bush eulogized Dick Cheney, his former vice president, as a consummate public servant who could be relied on, and who “lifted the standards” of those around him. BUSH: “In a profession that attracts talkers, Dick Cheney was a thinker and a listener. And when he did speak up, conveying thoughts in that even tone of voice, that orderly, unexcitable manner, you knew you were getting the best of a highly disciplined mind. “No colleague, no legislator, no foreign leader who ever met Dick Cheney ever doubted that they were dealing with a serious man.” Cheney, who served as Bush's vice president from 2001 to 2009, died on November 3 at the age of 84. Prior to being elected vice president, Cheney served as defense secretary, White House chief of staff, and as a congressman representing Wyoming. Texas Governor slams judge who blocked redistricting map Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott slammed the El Paso federal judge, a 2019 Trump nominee, who once worked for Abbott, for authoring the decision that blocked the state's congressional redistricting map that President Donald Trump wanted ahead of next year's elections, reports the San Antonio Express-News. ​In an appearance on Fox News, Abbott said a previous redistricting decision by U.S. District Court Judge Jeffrey Brown, who worked for Abbott when he was a Texas Supreme Court justice in the 1990s, was overturned last year. ABBOTT: “Judge Brown, who wrote that opinion, he was just reversed last year in a different redistricting decision. He was wrong last year. He's wrong this year. I have never seen an opinion so erroneous in its writing. That's something that the United States Supreme Court, I think, is just not going to tolerate.” ​Abbott said he is “confident” that the U.S. Supreme Court will side with Texas and allow the new map, which gives Republicans five more winnable seats, to be used in the 2026 midterm elections. The case has major ramifications for control of the U.S. House during the final two years of Trump's presidency. Republicans currently hold a five-seat majority in the U.S. House. If Democrats retake control of the chamber, they would have the power to stop all major legislation Trump wants passed and would be able to hold hearings to investigate the administration's policy decisions and actions. British shoe cobbler victorious in David vs. Goliath battle And finally, a British shoe cobbler in Gloucestershire, England, named Alan Macdonald, has been happily repairing shoes for thirty years at Macdonald Traditional Cobbler. MACDONALD: “Well, my father was a cobbler and my grandfather was a cobbler. So, I've been around probably since I was about five. I think my father had me doing work.” Recently, a corporate shoe repair chain wanted to open a location right across the street. Local citizens signed a petition to protect Alan McDonald, reports GoodNewsNetwork.org. The petition to reject the corporate newcomer collected 1,000 signatures from people in the area through social media, including the local Parliament member. MACDONALD: “You know, I hadn't expected this swell of support that's happened as a result of this application. I mean, I just was not expecting that.” A United Kingdom grocery chain Tesco had submitted a planning application together with another chain called Timpson, to open a new location of one of their bizarre service centers that offered combinations of dry cleaning, watch repair, key duplication, photo printing, engraving, portraiture, and shoe repair. To Macdonald's delight, when the corporate application for its new location was due to be discussed at a parish council meeting, Tesco confirmed it would not be moving forward.  However, it failed to specify whether or not the petition drive led to their decision. MACDONALD: “It was quite a worry to be honest. You know, I don't make a massive amount of money. Two weeks ago, Gaslit Nation pointed out that Vance is grooming the Christian nationalist movement to accept him as Trump's replacement. Brown, whose investigations helped bring down Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, and the resignation of Trump labor secretary Alex Acosta who gave Epstein a "sweetheart deal" and was rewarded with a White House cabinet position, confirmed that thousands of records remain hidden, including: Epstein's original 2008 sex-trafficking indictment draft Search warrants from 2005 and 2019 raids Full lists of possible suspects and accomplices Witness statements and FBI and CIA files Autopsy and investigatory interviews into Epstein's death in prison The new release contains an April 2011 email from Epstein to Maxwell indicating that she misled the DOJ: she knew Trump had spent hours at Epstein's mansion with one of his victims. Epstein himself confirmed Trump's guilt, writing: "I have met some very bad people, none as bad as Trump." Epstein confirms that Trump knew about his pedophile ring. Of course he knew: That's why they were friends. The Epstein/Trump dump exposes Larry Summers, Clinton's Treasury Secretary and an economic adviser to Obama, decrying the MeToo movement in a private email to Epstein and making a sexist joke about women being stupid. Summers was the former president of Harvard University. Michael Wolff, media gossip profiteer and Trump whisperer, provided Epstein and sometimes Trump via Epstein with media consulting–in exchange for access to write his bestselling books. He was even Epstein's behind-the-scenes PR fixer during the Miami Herald investigations. Given that Epstein's victims have successfully sued banks for managing Epstein's human trafficking money, expect to see cases brought against Wolff. MAGA world is imploding. Trump huddled in the Situation Room with Pam Bondi, Kash Patel, and Lauren Boebert to stop the House vote. Boebert reportedly refused–likely because she faces a tough re-election campaign in a blue wave year. A new Democratic majority that finally includes Rep. Adelita Grijalva of Arizona will get their House vote to force the release of the full Epstein files. Once it passes the House, it still needs to clear 60 votes in the Senate. Trump is expected to veto it–after he and the MAGA disinformation machine ran on releasing the Epstein files, even accusing Biden of molesting his own daughter. This time for a 16-year-old Christian girl kidnapped and forced into sex slavery by a Muslim in the Punjab district. She was rescued by court order on August 14th. This is just one of thousands of these cases occurring each year, where girls and women are kidnapped and forced into conversions, marriages, and prostitution. Pakistan is the seventh worst nation in the world on The Worldview's International Morality Index, and the eighth worst on Open Doors' World Watch List. Finnish politician tried third time for condemning perversion A Finnish Member of Parliament, Päivi Räsänen, is back in court this month, after already being acquitted twice for the so-called hate crime of calling homosexual relationships “sinful.” Räsänen has been charged with “agitation against a minority group” under the Finnish criminal code addressing “war crimes and crimes against humanity.” She's been under attack for seven years. This time the prosecutor is taking the case to Finland's Supreme Court. Afghanistan earthquake claims 800 lives In God's providence, Afghanistan has been hit by a third major earthquake since the Taliban took over, reports Reuters. This has claimed 800 lives and wounded 2,800 more, mostly in the Kunar Province. The 2022 quake killed over 1,000 people and the 2023 quake killed over 2,000 people. Russia's Putin, India's Modi and China's Jinping met in summit The new Axis power base was further solidified yesterday in a meeting which took place in Tianjin, China, with the presidents of China, India, and Russia — Presidents Xi Jinping, Narendra Modi, and Vladimir Putin. This was Modi's first visit to China in seven years. Modi expressed his desire to Putin that the two nations deepen cooperation “in all sectors.”  The meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization boasts “the world's largest regional organization” including nations with a combined economic output of nearly $30 trillion. That's just over the United States' annual Gross Domestic Product. Russia's Putin called the alliance the beginnings of a “new system” of security in Eurasia.  The Shanghai Cooperation Organization consists of the communist, Hindu, and Islamic states of Russia, Belarus, China, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. Chinese Navy boasts more warships than America The BBC reports that the Chinese Navy has exceeded America's Navy in number of warships -- 234 to 219. However, the Chinese are still behind the United States in overall tonnage and aircraft carriers.  Importantly, the Chinese shipyards have upwards of 200 times the ship-building capacity of America at this point. Brazilian socialists want to lock up Jair Bolsonaro Socialist elements in the Brazilian government are looking at locking up the nation's previous president Jair Bolsonaro for 30 years. Bolsonaro is accused of staging a coup after disagreeing with the election results in January of 2023.   The Associated Press reports that the evidence includes “an unsigned document that sought to invalidate the election and his alleged push for supporters to destroy government buildings in Brasilia on January 8, 2023.”  Low Scottish birth rate Scotland's birth rate is the lowest on record — hitting 1.23 children per woman. The nation's abortion rate is 17.9 per 1,000 women. Out of 50 countries, that's the fifth lowest birth rate in Europe. Only Malta, Spain, Lithuania, and Italy have lower birth rates.  Deuteronomy 7:12 and 14a makes a promise to a nation. “Because you listen to these judgments, and keep and do them. …You shall be blessed above all peoples; there shall not be a male or female barren among you or among your livestock.” Not so much for Scotland. Vice President JD Vance defends prayer U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance defended prayer as a proper response to the recent massacre at the Minneapolis, Minnesota Catholic School. His X post explained that, “We pray because our hearts are broken. We pray because we know God listens. We pray because we know that God works in mysterious ways, and can inspire us to further action.” Vance was responding to Jen Psaki, Joe Biden's previous press secretary, who skeptically asserted that “Prayer is not freaking enough. Prayers does [sic] not end school shootings. Prayers do not make parents feel safe sending their kids to school. Prayer does not bring these kids back.” In addition to Vice President Vance, CNN's conservative commentator Scott Jennings defended prayer as well. Listen. JENNINGS: “I think it's wrong, frankly, to vilify or attack people of faith. I think ‘thoughts and prayers' are the most solid on days of tragedy for people who live their faith every day. And I think on a day like today, particularly in a church community, there are probably people praying harder for comfort today than they have ever prayed in their life. “And I heard others on the Left today go down this line of attack against people of faith, sort of denigrating the idea that they might want to pray today.” Proverbs 28:9 reminds us that “If one turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer is an abomination.” And Proverbs 15:29 says, “The LORD is far from the wicked, but He hears the prayer of the righteous.” Chip and Joanna Gaines roll out “LGBTQ roller skating show” The reality show pop-star couple and known-to- be professing Christians, Chip Gaines and his wife, Joanna, are under fire again. This time, they are producing a program on their Magnolia Network featuring what has been termed “an LGBTQ+ roller skating reality show” called “Roller Jam.” Joanna Gaines called it “a show the whole family can watch together,” according to Protestia and FaithWire.  Office mortgages hit record 11.7% delinquency rate In economic news, delinquency rates on office mortgages in the United States have hit a record 11.7%, exceeding the last record set during the 2008 recession. That delinquency rate was only 1.6% just two years ago. Silver and gold keep climbing According to TradingView.com, silver surged to $40.76 per ounce and gold hit $3,475 per ounce on Monday — record highs for the metals. Married mothers happier than childless single women And finally, no surprise here. The Institute for Family Studies surveyed 3,000 women and found that married mothers were more likely to enjoy life.   The report documented that 47% of married mothers say their lives are enjoyable most or all the time, compared to 34% of unmarried, childless women who say the same thing. Since 2002, the East African nation outlawed many religious practices. Thousands of people have subsequently faced imprisonment, including Protestants. A country expert told Open Doors, “Anything done by any churches or its members [which is] seen as a threat to the absolute control currently in place will be subjected to punishment.” Eritrea is known as the “North Korea of Africa.” The government infamously holds some prisoners in shipping containers. Eritrea is ranked sixth on the Open Doors' World Watch List of the most difficult places to be a Christian.   Evangelical churches in Spain on the rise Evangelical Focus reports that Evangelical churches are the most numerous of “minority” religions in Spain. Evangelical churches now account for 56% of non-Catholic places of worship in the Catholic-majority country. The second most numerous minority religion is Islam. Muslims have the most places of worship in smaller municipalities with less than 5,000 inhabitants. Meanwhile, Evangelical churches are more numerous in municipalities with 5,000 to 100,000 people.  Twisted trans killed 2 Catholic school students, injures 17 Tragically, a twisted transgendered psychotic, 23-year-old Robert Westman, who pretended to be female, shot and killed two children yesterday morning at 8:30am at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis, Minnesota, reports The Blaze. The dead kids were 8 and 10 years old. Another 17 people were injured, including 14 children between the ages of 6 and 14, and three adults who ere all parishioners in their 80s. 10-year-old Weston Halsne, a fifth grader, described the deadly school shooting he witnessed at the beginning of the Catholic mass. HALSNE: “Yeah, it was like, maybe, like three minutes in, the first shot fired. … They shot through the stained glass windows, I think. And it was really scary. It was, like, right beside me. I was, like, two seats away from the stained glass windows. The shots were, like, right next to me. I think I got, like, gunpowder on my neck.” REPORTER: “When you heard the shots, what went through your head?” HALSNE: “The first one, I was, like, ‘What is that?' And when I heard it again, I just ran under the pew, and then I covered my head. My friend Victor, like, saved me, though, because he laid on top of me. My friend got hit in the back. He wrote, “I have been fully briefed on the tragic shooting in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The FBI quickly responded and they are on the scene. The White House will continue to monitor this terrible situation. Please join me in praying for everyone involved!” Earlier yesterday morning, Robert Westman allegedly released a deeply disturbing 11-minute-long YouTube video which I watched in its entirety. Amidst the profanity, he featured a picture of Jesus in the middle of a shooting target and a crudely drawn map of the church where the mass would take place. Westman revealed a massive amount of ammunition and long guns displayed on the bed, which were covered in his own white sharpie graffiti. As he narrated the video in a series of almost demonically-driven voices, he panned guns with the words “Where is your God?” and “For the children” and “No remorse” and “Rip and tear” scrawled across the guns.  Other egregious messages include “6 million wasn't enough” and “Kill Trump now.”  The shirt which he planned to wear during his forthcoming shooting rampage said, “Let's do this before the anxiety kicks in.” Isaiah 59:7 says, “Their feet rush into sin; they are swift to shed innocent blood. They pursue evil schemes; acts of violence mark their ways.” West Virginian parents allowed to opt kids out of vaccines West Virginia's Republican Governor Patrick Morrisey signed an executive order earlier this year to protect religious freedom and parental rights.  The order allows parents to opt out of schools' vaccination requirements on religious grounds. Not surprisingly, the leftist American Civil Liberties Union issued a legal challenge. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced his support for the order on Monday. He wrote on X, “I urge state legislators to support the Governor's leadership and protect these fundamental rights. At @HHSgov, we will enforce conscience protections and defend every family's right to make informed health decisions.” Texas public schools will display Ten Commandments On Monday, Texas Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton ordered public schools in the state to display the Ten Commandments. A recent court order blocked some school districts from displaying the Ten Commandments. But Paxton has ordered all districts not affected by the litigation to have the displays up by next week. Paxton wrote, “From the beginning, the Ten Commandments have been irrevocably intertwined with America's legal, moral, and historical heritage. … The woke radicals seeking to erase our nation's history will be defeated. I will not back down from defending the virtues and values that built this country.” In Deuteronomy 6:6-9, God said, “And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. … You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.” Cracker Barrel keeps logo but pushes sexual perversion And finally, Cracker Barrel announced Tuesday it will keep its classic logo after significant backlash. The restaurant chain planned to sanitize its logo by removing the famous “old timer” figure leaning against a barrel. The drawing is based on Uncle Herschel McCartney, the real uncle of Cracker Barrel founder Dan Evins.   The company's stock dropped nearly $100 million last week in response to the rebranding.   President Donald Trump praised the decision to keep the classic logo. So did U.S. GOP Congressman Byron Donalds, a Republican representative for Florida.  He wrote on X, “In college, I worked at @CrackerBarrel in Tallahassee. I even gave my life to Christ in their parking lot. Their logo was iconic and their unique restaurants were a fixture of American culture. No one asked for this woke rebrand. It's time to Make Cracker Barrel Great Again.” D.C. Draino tweeted, “Oh, and keep the original interiors. We want to eat in Grandma's home, not Grandma's nursing home.” And Brandon Wilinkson, who featured screenshots of Cracker Barrel's LGBTQ+ Alliance logo, tweeted, “You want us to come back?  Scrap the woke DEI-pandering policies and fire the CEO. Until that happens, my family won't be coming back. You forget who your customers are. They aren't woke liberals in the cities.
