What if success in strabismus treatment isn't just straight eyes—but integrated sight? In this episode of Healing Our Sight, I'm joined by vision therapist and former patient Melissa Daniels for a transformative conversation on peripheral fusion and what it means to truly heal vision. Melissa shares insights from Dr. David Cook's OVDRA (COVD) Conference presentation, including a fresh take on success that goes beyond appearance and focuses on function and connection. Melissa explains how Cook's approach—focused on peripheral fusion and real-life functionality—resonated deeply with her, both professionally and personally.Plus, Melissa reflects on creative strategies she learned from Jules Petteruto's sessions that help make therapy more accessible, fun, and emotionally safe. Sindre Talleraas Holen, Head of M&A at Visma In Part 2 of this global M&A masterclass, Sindre Holen pulls back the curtain on Visma's deal execution strategy, valuation methodology, and post-close philosophy. Visma has quietly become one of the most disciplined and prolific acquirers in Europe and LATAM. How? Through extreme clarity on what they buy, why they buy it, and how they operate post-close. Sindre and Kison dig into the nuance of buying software companies in different geographies, how Visma thinks about valuation (hint: rule of 40—and sometimes 50—matters), and why the company chooses to “onboard” rather than “integrate.” This episode is a candid, behind-the-scenes look at how to structure deals, manage cultural differences, and stay true to a scalable M&A playbook.

Učenci in dijaki so z današnjim dnem zakorakali v najdaljše počitnice v letu.
Stāsta Latvijas Tautas frontes pirmais priekšsēdētājs, Latvijas Nacionālā vēstures muzeja Tautas frontes muzeja pārstāvis Dainis Īvāns Vai zini, ka Baltijas ceļš bija redzams pat no kosmosa? Tā vismaz apgalvojis kāds trimdas latvietis, amerikāņu Valsts aeronautikas un kosmosa aģentūras jeb NASA darbinieks. Viņš tajā liktenīgajā brīdī vērojis mākslīgo zemes pavadoņu sūtītos attēlus. Varbūt tādēļ Baltijas ceļš tēlnieka Aigara Bikšes piemiņas zīmē "Baltijas valstu liktenis zvaigznēs rakstīts" Eiropas parlamenta ēkas gaitenī iezīmēts kā īpašs zvaigznājs izplatījumā? Tomēr svarīgāk, ka tas nav palicis nepamanīts gandrīz nekur. 1989. gadā Baltijas ceļš lielāko Rietumeiropas valstu līderiem lika būtiski mainīt savu attieksmi no vēsas atturības uz nepārprotamu atbalstu Baltijas tautu neatkarības centieniem un jūtami paātrināja Maskavas iedibināto režīmu sabrukumu Austrumeiropā. To apstiprina Latvijas Nacionālā Vēstures muzeja krājumā glabātās tolaik 44 gadus vecā Pētera Augustova atmiņas: "Man nesanāca piedalīties Baltijas ceļā un nebūtu arī tagad ko rakstīt, ja tomēr negadītos tajās dienās saklausīt ziņu pārraides vācu valodā. Vispirms jātiek vaļā no baiļu mūra apziņā – tad to var izdarīt arī dabā." Papildinot Pēteri Augustovu, varu piemetināt, ka Baltijas ceļš bez Berlīnes mūra krišanas ievadīja arī Samta revolūciju Čehoslovākijā, Čaušesku diktatūras galu Rumānijā. Tikai pēc vērienīgās baltiešu demonstrācijas Vācijas Federatīvās Republikas kanclers Kols atļāva Latvijas Tautas frontes deputātiem un visupirms tautfrontietim Mavrikam Vulfsonam, kas PSRS Augstākās padomes komisijā izmeklēja Maskavas un Berlīnes 1939. gada "sātana paktu", piekļūt bundestāga arhīviem, kas glabāja dokumentus par šo starptautisko noziegumu. Jau 1989. gada Ziemassvētkos Baltijas tautu kustību pārstāvji PSRS Tautas deputātu kongresā Maskavā divos dramatiskos balsojumos panāca Hitlera un Staļina slepeno vienošanos, tātad arī Baltijas valstu okupācijas atzīšanu par spēkā neesošu un noziedzīgu kopš parakstīšanas brīža. Jādomā, ka atšķirībā no mūsu stāsta autora Pētera Augustova, tagadējam Krievijas diktatoram, kurš Baltijas ceļa laikā Drēzdenē vadīja kādu čekistu klubiņu, tā nebija priecīgākā diena mūžā.

Nano-Ojas behaves differently from anything on the market today. The patented formula, called Metadichol®, is shown to trigger the replication of human DNA, regulate all nuclear receptors, influence production of the body's own vitamin C, and activate pluripotent stem cells throughout the body to maximize recovery at the cellular level (US patents 8,722,093, 9,006,292 and 9,034,383) Get The Products: https://www.nanoojas.net This novel nanoemulsion harnesses the body's innate healing power by acting on nuclear receptors (present in the nucleus of every cell) which contains the software necessary for homeostasis, or the critical balance between interdependent processes. Nuclear receptors, particularly vitamin D receptors (VDR), regulate myriad human developmental and physiological functions including reproduction, development, and metabolism. Since it is known to bind to VDR (US patent 9,006,292), its mechanism of action likely involves the competitive displacement of virus particles from VDRs on host cell membranes. Because the formula consists of natural components of common foods and has no known contraindications or side effects, Metadichol® has the potential to serve as a novel, broad-spectrum antiviral agent. How it's made Nano-Ojas® contains a stable water-soluble nanoemulsion of pure Swiss water with policosanol, or long-chain lipid alcohols. Policosanol is found naturally in the plant waxes of whole foods like broccoli, potatoes, wheat, sugarcane, apples, and peanut, and represents an ancient natural nutrient that has been processed out of our modern day food supply. Our formula undergoes strict analysis and testing in Switzerland and in the United States for both purity and potency. We adhere to all GMP standards and are committed to ensuring that the dietary supplement and cosmetic products we sell are accurately and legally labeled in accordance. Better immune responses Nano-Ojas makes it easy for the body to adapt and respond the way it needs to. Our formula supports the body's foundational integrity by activating the immune system at the cellular level. By accessing nuclear receptors, Nano-Ojas quickly and safely modulates immune responses to help the body address its most imminent threats: attacking pathogens, managing stressors, and intercepting disease processes. Immediate absorption The formula's fast-absorbing nanoparticles support the immune system by acting on nuclear receptors responsible for our most fundamental disease responses. These nano encapsulated molecules are highly bioavailable and designed for maximum absorption by the body, where they can access and activate the cellular functions that determine how we heal. Broad-spectrum support As a broad-spectrum nutrient, nano policosanol helps the body defend itself quickly and recover faster from illness, injury, or surgery. This powerful formulation benefits from nano encapsulation so nutrients bypass traditional digestion and go straight to nuclear receptors. The nanoparticles in Nano-Ojas are highly stable and provide precise delivery to targeted tissues and cells. ► Luxury Women Handbag Discounts: https://www.theofficialathena.... ► Become an Equus Coach®: https://equuscoach.com/?rfsn=7... ► For $5 in ride credit, download the Lyft app using my referral link: https://www.lyft.com/ici/ASH58... ► Review Us: https://itunes.apple.com/us/po... ► Subscribe: http://www.youtube.com/c/AshSa... ► Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/1lov... ► Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ashsa... ► Twitter: https://twitter.com/1loveAsh ► Blog: http://www.ashsaidit.com/blog
RR The Wire 2330Z November 03, 2023 PRECEDENCE: ROUTINE RRDTG: 233003Z NOV 23ICOD: 223003Z NOV 23CONTROLS: Public ReleaseQQQQBLUF: WAR CONTINUES IN THE MIDDLE EAST, HUMANITARIAN CRISIS IN GAZA WORSENS.-----BEGIN TEARLINE------International Events-Middle East Front: The situation in Northern Gaza remains fluid as the invasion continues. Hamas has made claims that Israeli forces have withdrawn numerous times in response to failed assaults, whereas Israel has not addressed specific engagements during this invasion. The UN reports that the flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza is not enough, and fuel shortages in particular have resulted in substantial issues at UN hospitals. This afternoon, the Pentagon has reportedly suspended all official Congressional flights into Israel citing the deterioration of the security situation on the ground. Dozens of members of Congress have visited Israel via AIPAC-sponsored delegations since the war began.Pacific: The US conducted a test of the LGM-30G Minuteman III ICBM last night. The test was a failure which resulted in the US Air Force safely terminating the exercise. The last failure of this missile system was in 2021, in which the test was aborted on the ground. The last in-flight failure of this system was in 2018.-HomeFront-USA: Domestic threats remain a constant as Pro-Palestine protests/rallies continue around the US. Since hostilities in the Middle East began, many domestic terror groups such as ANTIFA/BLM have been observed to increase hostile online rhetoric, to include direct threats of terrorism.SC: An assailant tried to breach the perimeter of the Oconee Nuclear Station last night by conducting a vehicle ramming attack on the ECP. After his unsuccessful breach attempt he fled the facility where a local homeowner fired warning shots at him as he attempted to trespass down their driveway, before fleeing again. Local authorities have identified the suspect as Doyle Wayne Whisenhunt, who remains at large. A BOLO notice has been issued for his 2002 Toyota Camry with Arkansas plate: 380-VDR.-Analyst Comments-Notes on sources: As Palestinian civilians continue to be targeted by Israeli forces, most of the least-biased information sources on the ground are UN aid workers. Ordinarily the UN would not be considered to be a reliable information source, but in this special circumstance official press statements are the best we can do, as most media on all sides remains agenda-driven. Consequently, UN workers are going to become a primary source for documenting the increasingly desperate humanitarian crisis that has resulted in hundreds of thousands of refugees. If the cessation of official Congressional flights into Israel is true, this is likely related to Hezbollah and/or Hamas increasing usage of MANPADs. So far, several Igla-1 (NATO: SA-18 GROUSE) and Strela-2 (NATO: SA-7 GRAIL) launches have been confirmed by posts on social media. Details on the success of these attacks have been largely unverifiable, though Hamas has claimed to have downed several IDF helicopters and drones.-----END TEARLINE-----Analyst: S2AEND REPORTNNNN

Short answer: Low or low-normal alkaline phosphatase may raise the plasma B6 level over the cellular level. Tryptophan metabolites in urine reflect the B6 requirement for the kynurenine pathway, and this requirement increases with more estrogen, more inflammation, or a higher protein intake. Short answer: 4-6 hours after a meal the small intestine is emptied and the insulin-to-glucagon ratio declines; 25 hours after, hepatic glycogen is emptied; 5 days later the brain is adapted to ketones and gluconeogenesis reaches its minimal level. Moving from one to the other cannot occur with a small piece of signaling like the bite of an apple. It requires the preponderance of signaling. Short answer: You should be able to see changes on imaging within a few weeks if your approach is working well, but ultimately this is entirely dependent on how negative your “delta fatty liver = (fat in) - ((fat out) + (fat burned))” equation is. Short answer: 25(OH)D is 1000 times weaker at activating the VDR than 1,25(OH)D, but 1000 times more abundant. This is why I advocate measuring both, and ultimately believe we need to create a calculated index of “biological vitamin D activity” from them. Dr. V (Dr. Joe Volpicelli) has been studying addiction for decades. His research that started at the University of Pennsylvania's prestigious Medical Scientist Training program, while he was in pursuit of both his Doctor of Medicine and his Doctor of Psychology, has led to many important discoveries in substance use disorder treatment. In 2009, he founded two organizations – the Volpicelli Center, an intimate recovery program that provides research-based recovery, and also a research facility, the Institute of Addiction Medicine, the Institute is regularly seeking subjects for clinical trials. Dr. Volpicelli's research led to the discovery of naltrexone to treat alcohol addiction, an FDA-approved medicine used worldwide to reduce alcohol craving and relapse. His research also led to the discovery of a psychosocial approach designed to improve treatment engagement and retention. Dr. Volpicelli is a featured author of over 100 academic publications and two of his own books, “Recovery Options: The Complete Guide” and “Combining Medication and Psychosocial Treatments for Addictions: The BRENDA Approach.” His personal mission is to bring evidence-based addiction treatment into the addiction treatment community. He does this by teaching health care providers, consulting with health care companies and payers, and educating the general public. You can find him quoted in numerous publications such as GQ, the Mighty, Bustle, Insider, and Healthline. When Dr. Volpicelli is not conducting research, writing, or seeing patients, he enjoys winning fantasy football leagues or spending time with his grandchildren.
