Jacob Varghese is Chief Executive Officer at Maurice Blackburn. An experienced litigator, he leads Australia's number one plaintiff law firm from its Melbourne office. Since becoming CEO in 2017 Jacob has led the development and implementation of a new strategy to strengthen the firm's financial and business foundations. Together with an experienced and highly skilled leadership team, he has built a “one firm” organisational structure and culture around a shared ambition to widen access to justice on a scale with no precedent in Australia. Jacob started his legal career in the medical negligence team at Maurice Blackburn in 2002. Leaving the firm a few years later to work as a political adviser and parliamentary researcher, he returned in 2006 to its pioneering class actions team. Mr Stuart Ellis AM, is Chief Executive Officer of the Australasian Fire and Emergency Service Authorities Council (AFAC). AFAC is the National Council for fire and emergency services across Australia and New Zealand, and is the facilitator and custodian of contemporary knowledge and practice, for the benefit of our members and through them, the community. There are 288,000 volunteers and career staff engaged across AFAC agencies providing fire and emergency services. Mr Ellis is an experienced leader in the emergency management industry. Following a distinguished 22 year career in the Australian Army, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer/Chief Officer of the South Australian Country Fire Service for five years. Michael Smith was the CEO of Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Ltd. Adam founded Kegstar in December 2012 and has extensive experience in the beverage industry having also co-founded McLaren Vale Beer Company and being a Founding Director of Australia's Independent Brewers Association. McLaren Vale Beer Company was one of the fastest growing beer companies in Australia during 2009 to 2011 under Adam's leadership. It was during this period, when continually falling short on beer supply due to keg shortages, Adam identified the opportunity for the Kegstar keg-pooling model. Having sold McLaren Vale Beer Company to investors in December 2011, Adam embarked on the project to bring Kegstar to life. Kegstar is an asset pooling business specialising in stainless steel kegs used to transport beverages, principally beer and cider. Brooke Miller is BP's VP Sales & Marketing Australia, leading the company's retail business in a highly competitive fuels market. Prior to being appointed to this role in April 2016, Brooke was BP's CFO Fuels AsPac. Malcolm is the Chief Executive of the SA Fire and Emergency Services Commission and Chair of the SAFECOM Board, to which the State Emergency Service, Metropolitan Fire Service and Country Fire Service report. He is tasked with providing strategic leadership and direction to the South Australian emergency services sector and has direct responsibility and accountability for championing and leading sector modernisation and the change management processes. He joined the publicly listed Coates Hire in 2003 as CEO, and oversaw a period of rapid and sustained growth as the company consolidated its position in the Australian equipment rental market as well as rationalising their overseas operations. In early 2008 Coates was acquired by a consortium comprising Carlyle and National Hire. Malcolm was appointed to lead the merged group which ranks as a global leader in the equipment rental sector and managed the integration before stepping down in July 2008. In September 2008 he was appointed as the CEO of Futuris Corporation which changed its name to Elders Limited in April 2009. During his tenure he initiated a significant business restructure and change in strategic direction, focussing the group operations on its core agribusinesses. This was achieved despite the company being under significant pressure with an over-geared balance sheet and constrained working capital. He stepped down from the role of Chief Executive of Elders Limited in late 2013. In late August 2014 Malcolm returned to Adelaide to become Chief Executive of Defence SA. Defence SA is South Australia's lead government agency for all defence matters and the nation's only stand-alone state defence organisation. Gavin was the team psychologist for the Winter Olympic team in Turrino 2006 and 2000 Sydney Paralympic Games. He was also Team Psychologist for the Olympic Archery Team in Sydney 2000. At the professional level he has worked with a variety of athletes from the best sporting leagues around the world including the NBA, WNBA, and PGA, additionally he was a team Psychologist at the 2003 Rugby World Cup. Gavin's background is diverse as it is unique. He is a fully registered psychologist with experience in both the sporting and corporate world. A great cross section of experience of at the elite level in sport and business His book, “The Business Olympian” released in June 2008 captures the mental toughness lessons learned from elite athletes and how these skills can be easily transferred into the corporate world.   Gavin's second book, “Just Stop Motivating Me” was released in 2016.  Just Stop Motivating Me is a new way of looking at why we act the way we do, how we can create smarter and more productive working and social environments. It further explores what is needed for individual to change the way they work / think and play. Introducing the concepts of “motivation to succeed” and “motivation to avoid failure” as part of a wider motivational continuum,    He is currently working on his third  book and can usually be heard on one of the business radio shows across Australia and channel 7 sunrise programs as well as other leading channels.

Michelle is a talented business professional with an entrepreneurial spirit and a leadership skill for bringing people together to achieve the ‘aspirational state'. With over 25 years of international business experience, she has a passion for technology, people and change. As Co-Founder and Executive Director at Intelledox - a Canberra-based global software vendor that enables the digitalisation of complex business processes - Michelle has worked on innovative technology transformation projects in countries all around the world. As well as Co-Founding Intelledox, Michelle started a highly successful technology, communications and logistics company in 1998 – The Communication Link - working on behalf of corporate and government VIPs from around the world. This included arranging official government visits to Australia by Madeleine Albright (US Secretary of State) and William Cohen (US Secretary of Defense), and the management of various Sydney Olympic and Paralympic projects. Michelle is a past winner in the Telstra and ACT Government's Businesswoman of the Year Awards, and her business Intelledox is a multiple winner in the Telstra Business Awards, in the AIIA iAwards, in the Australian Exporter of the Year Awards, in both the Deloitte Fast 100 and the BRW's Fast 100 list, and in the Anthill Cool Company Awards.

Cameron Schwab is an experienced CEO, leadership coach and organisational specialist. He works with Boards, CEOs and executive teams, as well as coaches and coaching teams, to build leadership capability, particularly as it relates to organisational performance and transformation. He has been a leader in the dynamic, heavily scrutinised and multifaceted professional sports industry for over 30 years in the major Australian sporting competition, the Australian Football League (AFL). His leadership career commenced at just 20 years of age, overseeing talent identification and player recruitment at the Melbourne Football Club. He was appointed CEO of the Richmond Football Club at age 24, the youngest in the history of the AFL. For the next 25 years, he was CEO of three AFL clubs, Richmond, and the Melbourne and Fremantle clubs, ranking him in the eighth longest serving CEO in the 150 years of the sport. John is a powerful presenter, trainer, facilitator, mentor and author. Claire was recently head of digital channels at ANZ Bank, spearheading its digital transformation, leading mobile and internet banking and digital security. A highly networked influencer, Claire brings to different environments finely-honed communication and negotiation skills, strength and compassion that creates strong community buy-in and support. Claire has an MBA from Melbourne Business school, formerly chair of Ridley College Melbourne and is a director on the board of ACFID, the Australian international charities industry peak body.

Soren Trampedach is a thought-leader on innovation and the new work culture, Soren has an impressive 20-year career in leadership positions, and continues to provide consultancy on workplace optimisation to industry leaders such as Google, Deloitte, NAB and Facebook. Soren created Work Club to provide established businesses with a unique, boutique solution to the challenges posed by the rapid pace of change in the working environment, partnering with TEDxSydney. Jo Mikleus has more than 25 years' experience in banking and business. She was most recently the Head of Global Subsidiaries at ANZ and was responsible for the bank's largest multi-national clients doing business in Australia. In addition to her executive role, she has been a director on the Board of ANZ Bank (Vietnam) Ltd since 2014. Prior to her last role, Jo was the Chief of Staff to the CEO Mike Smith, overseeing Mike's involvement in external activities such as the B20, FSI, IIF and Male Champions of Change. Internally, she drove the CEO's strategic priorities, development of the bank's social media strategy and oversaw the development of ANZ's market leading flexibility, diversity and inclusion policies. She travelled to Silicon Valley on two occasions with the Board and Management Board to keep abreast of innovation and inform the Bank's response to digital disruption. Jo is on the Melbourne 4.0 Taskforce, helping Greater Melbourne prepare, act and embrace the accelerating speed of innovation and disruption. Jo has a Bachelor of Social Science (Economics) from UNSW and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Tim Fung is the co-Founder of Airtasker Pty Ltd and serves as its Chief Executive Officer. Tim is responsible for the strategic marketing and business development of Airtasker. He is a Founder and Investor of several web businesses (including amaysim, Joe Button and Circuit Club). Tim serves as Director at Tank Stream Ventures. He has worked as a Consulting Talent Agent at Chic Management and spent five years in Investment Banking at Macquarie Bank and Macquarie Capital Advisors. Tim holds a B.Comm. (Marketing) from University of New South Wales.

Dr Amantha Imber is an innovation psychologist, best-selling author, and founder of Australia's leading innovation consultancy Inventium. Inventium has been recognised as one of Australia's fastest growing companies in the BRW Fast 100 list, and was also awarded the BRW Client Choice Award for Best Management Consultancy in Australia. In 2016, Amantha was inducted into the Australian Business Women's Hall of Fame. With a PhD in organisational psychology, Amantha has helped companies such as Google, Coca-Cola, Disney, LEGO, Red Bull, American Express, Virgin Australia, Commonwealth Bank and many others innovate more successfully. Professor Anne Louise Lytle received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Cornell University in the field of Neurobiology and Behaviour, and both her MS and PhD in Organisational Behaviour with a specialisation in Negotiation & Dispute Resolution from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University. Professor Lytle has taught, presented, and consulted in organisations and universities across the globe. She has been a faculty member at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and the Australian Graduate School of Management, and an adjunct faculty at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, Sasin Graduate School of Business at Chulalongkorn University, the Graduate School of Business at the University of Sydney, Carnegie Mellon University Australia, Macquarie Graduate School of Business, and the Melbourne Business School at the University of Melbourne. She has served as a consultant to the United Nations in South-East Asia and a principal investigator for the Hong Kong government to explore negotiation and conflict processes across the Asia Pacific. She has published in top academic journals, is an active member of the Academy of Management and is a board member and Past-President of the International Association for Conflict Management. For more than a decade, she was the Director of Lytle and Associates Pty Ltd, which provided consulting and training to public, private and non-profit organisations specialising in negotiation, conflict management, emotional intelligence, leadership and managing people for high performance. Some examples from her long list of clients over the years includes Air New Zealand, ANZ Bank, APM Terminals, Boeing Corporation, BT Financial Group, Care Australia, David Jones, EBay Inc., Fenton Stephens, Goodyear Dunlop, KPMG, Metcash, Pfizer, Network 9, Network 10, Telstra, Qantas and the World Wildlife Fund. Sam Cawthorn is the authority in personal corporate resilience, best selling author, professional speaking coach, philanthropist and was awarded Young Australian of the year.
