JD Vance begs voters to give the White House "another chance" as a series of new polls show a political environment even more favorable to Democrats than the one that propelled the blue wave in 2018. Jon, Dan, and Alex break down how much "hopium" we should be huffing, a new ad from a Florida Republican breaking with Trump on immigration, and whether unexpectedly close Senate races in Minnesota and New Hampshire should have Democrats worried. They dive into JD Vance's advice to AI companies to simply stop "building Frankenstein" and unpack Trump's fixation on demolishing the Kennedy Center if he's not allowed to name it after himself. Alex talks about her new book, "The Steal: Four Right-Wing Hard-Liners, One Republican Presidency, and the Raid on America's Courts," which follows the conservative movement's deliberate takeover of the American judicial system. Then, Dan Osborn, the independent candidate for Senate in Nebraska, stops by the studio to talk to Jon about his campaign against Pete Ricketts.Hate listening to ads? Somewhere between 85 to 95 percent of Black women in the United States have used a chemical hair relaxer at least once in their lifetime. It is a ubiquitous American product with a complicated legacy: it built Black wealth and opened economic doors, but also taught generations to see their hair as a problem to be solved. And now research is revealing a physical cost. Roman Mars and producer Priscilla Alabi explore how a single product became a mirror for all of America's contradictions.A History of the United States in 100 Objects is a production of 99% Invisible and BBC Studios. According to the latest U.S. Census Bureau Report, America's poverty rate has dropped to the lowest level — not just in recent history but ever recorded. In the same report, the median household income also rose to its highest level since the '60s. How did that happen? Glenn breaks down how President Trump's actions have led to a healthier economy and explains why other factors make things appear worse than they are. Glenn also talks with a caller struggling to afford groceries and gas, warning that Trump's plan is working, even if you can't feel it. Glenn discusses what President Trump is doing about the situation in Iran as the 2026 midterms approach and theorizes what may happen once the election is over. Glenn reacts to the despicable celebrations that happened at colleges around the country regarding the assassination of Charlie Kirk. How will these college students explain, when they're older, what they did during college? Glenn speaks to two students from the University of Utah, Rylie Barnes and Riley Beesley, who faced expulsion after exposing a student for celebrating the assassination of Charlie Kirk.  Learn more about your ad choices. Malcolm Gladwell, a longtime staff writer at The New Yorker, often uses ideas from the social sciences and epidemiology and applies them to surprising topics. But his new book tackles an issue that's in the headlines every day. The book is called “The American Way of Killing,” and the subject is America's unique association with gun violence. Death statistics, he says, fail to convey the scale of the problem because advances in medical care save countless lives that are nevertheless scarred by violence. Gladwell talks with David Remnick about how gun-control advocates have got the problem wrong, and why he thinks that a persistent dynamic of under-policing and over-incarcerating is at the root of America's problem. “I can't even utter the phrase ‘defund the police,' ” Gladwell says, “without nearly blowing a gasket.”Further reading:“What We Get Wrong About Violent Crime,” by Malcolm Gladwell“Daniel Ellsberg, Edward Snowden, and the Modern Whistle-Blower,” by Malcolm Gladwell “Thresholds of Violence,” by Malcolm Gladwell New episodes of The New Yorker Radio Hour drop every Tuesday and Friday. New Money Making Conversations episodes drop daily. I want to alert you, so you don’t miss out on expert analysis and insider perspectives from my guests who provide tips that can help you uplift the community, improve your financial planning, motivation, or advice on how to be a successful entrepreneur. Keep winning! Two-time Emmy and Three-time NAACP Image Award-winning, television Executive Producer Rushion McDonald, interviewed entertainment attorney Jalene Mack. Discuss the legal and business fundamentals that entrepreneurs, creatives, writers, producers, and small business owners need to understand to protect their ideas, brands, and financial interests. Drawing from decades of experience representing entertainers, filmmakers, producers, writers, and business owners, Mack explains how people fall victim to bad deals, why contracts matter, and the steps entrepreneurs should take to build a legally sound and financially sustainable business. Purpose of the Interview The interview was designed to: Educate entrepreneurs and creatives about avoiding bad contracts and scams. Explain the importance of trademarks, copyrights, and intellectual property protection. Help aspiring producers, writers, and business owners understand how to structure their businesses properly. Provide practical advice on building a business foundation before seeking investors or opportunities. Encourage listeners to use professional advisors rather than relying solely on online information and templates. Key Takeaways 1. Due Diligence Is Essential Mack emphasized that many scammers prey on hopeful entrepreneurs and creatives by promising funding, distribution, or industry connections. Before signing anything, individuals should thoroughly research the people and companies they are dealing with. Lesson: Verify credentials, investigate backgrounds, and confirm funding sources before entering any agreement. 2. Don't Be Seduced by the "Big Opportunity" Many people fall victim to bad deals because they believe they have found the one opportunity that will change their lives. Mack and McDonald warned against approaching business with a "lottery mentality." Lesson: Excitement should never replace sound business judgment. 3. Never Sign Away Your Intellectual Property Blindly One of the biggest mistakes creators make is signing contracts that transfer ownership of their scripts, books, ideas, or content without fully understanding the consequences. Lesson: Once ownership rights are transferred, getting them back can be nearly impossible. 4. Hiring the Right Lawyer Matters Mack stressed that not all attorneys have the same expertise. A lawyer who handles real estate, patents, or corporate law may not understand entertainment contracts and intellectual property issues. Lesson: Work with attorneys who specialize in your industry. 5. Online Templates Are Not a Substitute for Legal Advice While contract templates found online can provide a starting point, they rarely address the unique circumstances of a specific business or creative project. Lesson: Every deal has unique risks and should be professionally reviewed. 6. Every Entrepreneur Needs a Clear Plan Mack outlined the importance of first identifying exactly what you're trying to build, whether it's a film project, product, service, or business venture. Lesson: A clear vision helps guide decision-making, budgeting, staffing, and marketing. 7. Business Plans and Financial Plans Are Critical Entrepreneurs often focus on ideas while ignoring execution. Mack encouraged listeners to develop detailed plans for operations, funding, growth, and profitability. Lesson: A great idea without a roadmap is unlikely to succeed. 8. Build the Right Team No entrepreneur should try to do everything alone. Mack emphasized surrounding yourself with experienced professionals, including lawyers, accountants, producers, financial advisors, and marketers. Lesson: Success often depends on the quality of your team. 9. Budgeting Is Non-Negotiable Whether producing a film or launching a business, understanding costs is essential. Everything from labor and equipment to marketing and logistics must be considered before moving forward. Lesson: Poor budgeting is one of the fastest paths to failure. 10. Protect Your Assets and Brand Mack stressed the importance of trademarks, copyrights, business entities, and legal documentation. Entrepreneurs must proactively protect their intellectual property before problems arise. Lesson: Prevention is less expensive than litigation. Jalene Mack's 10-Step Business Foundation Framework Throughout the conversation, Mack outlined critical steps for launching and protecting a business: Identify your project. Create a comprehensive plan. Build a strong team. Prepare a realistic budget. Form a business entity. Obtain a business identification number. Open a dedicated business bank account. Protect your intellectual property and assets. Use professionally drafted contracts. Develop a strong marketing strategy. Notable Quotes Jalene Mack on Scams and Bad Deals "Due diligence is everything." Jalene Mack on Research "The more you dig, the more you realize they can't show proof of funds." Jalene Mack on Contract Protection "You don't ever want to give away rights to your project." Jalene Mack on Legal Representation "Not all entertainment attorneys are equal." Jalene Mack on Building a Team "Surround yourself with talent. Surround yourself with people who know more than you." Jalene Mack on Entrepreneurship "You don't have to know everything. Every experience is going to be something you learn from." Rushion McDonald on Business Opportunities "Don't get in this business with the lottery mentality." Rushion McDonald on Intellectual Property "Ideas are not registered. It's just an idea." Jalene Mack on Non-Disclosure Agreements "An NDA is a deterrent, but it is not ironclad." Overall Message The central message of the interview is that success in business and entertainment requires more than talent and great ideas. It requires planning, research, legal protection, financial discipline, and a knowledgeable team. Jalene Mack encourages entrepreneurs and creatives to approach every opportunity with caution, conduct thorough due diligence, and protect their intellectual property before pursuing growth. Her advice serves as a blueprint for avoiding costly mistakes and building a sustainable, successful business. #SHMS #BEST #STRAW Money Making Conversations Master Class with Rushion McDonald is America's premier entrepreneurship, business leadership, financial literacy, and wealth-building podcast featuring successful entrepreneurs, executives, founders, celebrities, and industry experts sharing actionable insights for professional and financial success. I want to alert you, so you don’t miss out on expert analysis and insider perspectives from my guests who provide tips that can help you uplift the community, improve your financial planning, motivation, or advice on how to be a successful entrepreneur. Keep winning! Two-time Emmy and Three-time NAACP Image Award-winning, television Executive Producer Rushion McDonald interviewed Attorney S. Diane Clair. A Georgia-based attorney, real estate law professor at Kennesaw State University, and founder of a law practice specializing in real estate, estate planning, probate, business, and contract law. The discussion focuses on wealth building through real estate investing, asset protection, and estate planning strategies for generational wealth. Purpose of the Interview The primary purpose of the interview was to: Educate listeners about real estate investing opportunities, including lesser-known strategies such as tax liens and tax deeds. [ Stress the importance of working with qualified legal professionals instead of relying on Google, social media, AI tools, or generic legal templates. [ Promote wealth preservation through estate planning, particularly trusts and business structures. [ Encourage minority communities to create estate plans and pass wealth to future generations. [ Key Takeaways 1. Don't Rely Solely on Google, Social Media, or AI for Legal Advice Clair warns that many individuals attempt to create wills, trusts, and legal documents online without professional guidance. She emphasizes that legal matters require experienced attorneys because AI and internet sources may provide incomplete or incorrect information. Why it Matters Legal mistakes can create costly problems later. AI-generated content can be inaccurate. Estate planning and real estate transactions require professional review. 2. Real Estate Is a Powerful Wealth-Building Tool Clair argues that real estate remains one of the strongest ways to build and transfer wealth between generations. She highlights its relative stability compared to stock market fluctuations. Benefits Mentioned Builds long-term wealth Generates passive income Creates assets that can be inherited Helps achieve financial freedom [ 3. Start Real Estate Investing Through a Business Entity One of Clair's first recommendations is to establish a legal business structure before purchasing investment properties. Recommended Structures LLC Corporation Other formal business entities [ She repeatedly stresses that investment assets ideally should not be owned in an individual's personal name. 4. You Don't Need Large Amounts of Money to Invest A major myth she debunks is that real estate investing requires significant capital. Entry-Level Strategies Tax liens Tax deeds Foreclosure purchases Fix-and-flip projects Rental properties [ According to Clair, investors can begin with relatively small amounts by purchasing tax liens and earning interest when property owners redeem them. [ 5. Estate Planning Is Largely Ignored Clair shares a startling statistic: Approximately 64% of Americans do not have an estate plan. Among minorities, that number rises to about 70%. [ She believes the problem is educational rather than financial, noting that even wealthy celebrities frequently fail to plan their estates. 6. Trusts Are Better Than Wills for Many Situations Clair strongly favors trusts, especially irrevocable trusts, as vehicles for preserving wealth. Advantages of Trusts Avoid probate Potential tax benefits Asset protection Easier transfer of wealth Can operate while the creator is still alive Difference Between a Will and a Trust Will Takes effect after death Goes through probate court Directs distribution of assets Trust Can function during the owner's lifetime Avoids probate Can provide stronger protection and tax advantages [ 7. Asset Protection Is Essential Clair explains that trusts can own: Real estate Bank accounts Businesses Investments Other valuable assets Because the trust, rather than the individual, owns the property, there can be additional protection from lawsuits and claims. Notable Quotes On Legal Services Beyond Personal Injury Law "You can hire lawyers for way more, and we can assist you in way more." [ On Using AI for Legal Matters "AI is not really something you want to trust... It creates and makes up stuff." [ On Professional Guidance "You want to book a consultation with an attorney." On Real Estate Investing "A lot of people have that misconception that you have to have a lot of money to start investing in real estate, and that's not true." On Generational Wealth "Real estate is something that is the best thing to invest in and pass down to future generations." [ On Estate Planning "This is not a money thing... It's an education thing." [ On Trusts "The best estate planning instrument is always going to be a trust." On Asset Ownership "Don't have anything in your own name, have it in the name of the trust or in the business." Overall Message Attorney Diane Clair's central message is that wealth creation and wealth preservation must work together. Building assets through real estate is important, but equally important is protecting those assets through proper business structures, trusts, estate planning, and professional legal guidance. Stockholm Syndrome is a psychological response to being held captive where the victim forms a connection with their captors and begins sympathizing with them. After living in America long enough, most people have become deluded to who is actually in control and how much the propaganda is actually working. As the American voter once again gets ready for the performative act of voting for a new slave owner, it seems fitting to address the topic of psychological manipulation by those in power. Will this be the most important election in our history because the slaves finally woke up, or will it just be more of the same?---Charlie's New Book:The Octopus Of Population Control - Paperback, Kindle, & AudiobookMacroaggressionswww.Macroaggressions.io | Merch Store | Link TreeVideo Channels: Rumble | YouTube | BrighteonActivist Post: Newsletter Sign UpAudiobooks: Hypocrazy | The Octopus of Global ControlSupport Our SponsorsReplace Your Mortgage: www.WipeOutYourMortgageNow.comGround Luxe Grounding MatsC60 Power | Promo Code: MACROChemical Free Body | Promo Code: MACROWise Wolf Gold & SilverLegalShield: www.DontGetPushedAround.comEMP Shield | Promo Code: MACROChristian Yordanov's Health ProgramAbove PhoneVan ManThe Dollar Vigilante

You've done everything right. Emergency fund, employer match, maxed-out retirement account, boring diversified index funds quietly compounding in the background. And now some part of you is wondering: is there a next level? Financial educator Brian Feroldi joins Paula Pant and Jesse Cramer for a genuinely useful gut-check on whether picking individual stocks is a smart next step, a fun hobby, or a trap dressed up as ambition, and how to tell the difference before you put real money on the line. What You'll Walk Away WithThe single question that determines whether you're actually ready to buy individual stocks: do you have real interest in the process, not just the potential payoffWhy working in an industry doesn't automatically make you qualified to invest in itThe real statistics behind stock picking: roughly two-thirds of individual stocks underperform the market averageWhy losing money on your first few stock picks might be the best possible outcome, and why winning right away can be dangerousA clear framework for position sizing, so a stock-picking hobby never puts your actual financial plan at riskThe real opportunity cost of stock picking as a "side hustle," and why it competes with your time as much as your moneyWhy a great company and a great stock investment are often two completely different thingsWhy This Matters NowThere's a point in a lot of people's financial journeys where the basics start to feel almost too simple, and that itch to do something more advanced is worth taking seriously, not dismissing. But "more advanced" doesn't automatically mean "individual stocks," and jumping in without genuine interest or a clear framework can turn a healthy curiosity into an expensive mistake. Knowing honestly whether you're drawn to the actual process of researching and following businesses, not just the idea of beating the market, is the difference between a rewarding new hobby and a costly detour from a plan that was already working. From the BasementA tight, competitive trivia round on Bank of America's 1958 "Fresno Drop," the unsolicited mass credit card mailing that eventually led to the creation of Visa, shakes up the year-long standings in a genuinely dramatic way.Resources MentionedStock Simplifier — Brian Feroldi's AI-powered stock research toolWhy Does The Stock Market Go Up? by Brian Feroldi — Brian's bestselling book on how the market worksAfford Anything podcast — Paula Pant's showPersonal Finance for Long-Term Investors podcast — Jesse Cramer's showSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

The interview encourages listeners, especially entrepreneurs and minority communities, to think long term about generational wealth, asset protection, and financial legacy rather than short-term gains. Congress has left the building — for two months. No AI legislation, no check on an Iran war the American people never signed up for, no oversight while Trump threatens Cuba, threatens Greenland, watches the Fed raise rates, and lets his son throw a Russian-funded wedding party. Trump sits at 19% approval. J.D. Vance and Pete Hegseth are already jockeying to succeed him. Republicans are scrubbing him from their own ads. And the Democrats aren't exactly filling the vacuum. That's the opening for independents — and Paul Rieckhoff lays out exactly where the movement is building, from Brian Bengs in South Dakota to Dan Osborn in Nebraska to Seth Bodnar in Montana to Todd Achilles in Idaho. Then Paul goes below the radar on the Ed Sheeran / Macklemore / Bob Kraft blowup he witnessed live at MetLife Stadium — a Free Palestine chant that split a family-friendly crowd and now has Macklemore dropped from Gillette Stadium dates. It's a window into where most Americans actually sit on Israel and Gaza: not neutral, not extreme, but exhausted with blank checks and demanding the leaders of both sides stop bombing kids. Paul closes with Football Friday — college and NFL picks, a shout to Audioslave, and a message from his New York City Lions youth team: love one another. A frightening collision leaves Jared Young motionless on the field, but the Fox broadcast quickly becomes part of the story. Evan Roberts and Tiki Barber question the decision to discuss Young's future with the Mets while he was still being treated, arguing that the timing of Ken Rosenthal's report felt completely wrong even after Young gave a thumbs-up. The conversation then takes a sharp turn when a caller rips Evan for praising “O Canada.” Evan doubles down, insisting that liking another country's anthem does not make him unpatriotic and declaring once again that “America the Beautiful” is simply a better song than “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

Hello, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome once again to the Packernet Podcast. I am your host and resident fanalyst, as always, Cal Hutson. Check us out online, packernet.com. So, on the docket today, it is a very quiet news day across the N F L, which is honestly kind of rare in the middle of a season. You usually have something. Anywho, we have nothing in the way of immediate breaking news or even, you know, juicy press conference sound bites. So what we are going to do today is talk about what's been on my mind, which is the state of the Packers wide receiver room, and how it really embodies the Packers' philosophy, and frankly, why it works. Why don't we take a break here? We'll come back and dive into the wide receiver room, what makes it tick, and why Green Bay's approach is actually better than what you see a lot of these quote unquote splashy teams trying to do.  Support us at patreon.com/pack_daddy or Venmo @Packernetpodast. LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHIN, PACK NATION! Big Sal is fired up and ready to expose the truth! Today, the N F L beat and the entire N F C North are acting like a bunch of clowns, utterly silent in the face of Green Bay's dominance. What are they hiding? Why are they so quiet? Sal digs in, revealing the media's cowardice and the pathetic attempts to maintain an illusion of parity across the league. You won't believe the lengths the N F L goes to, and the fear paralyzing coaches and G Ms, just to ignore the mighty Green Bay Packers. Sal pulls no punches, calling out the so-called experts and the money-hungry N F L itself. This isn't just about football, it's about truth, respect, and the blatant disrespect shown to Pack Nation! When Kendra Riley‘s daughters were diagnosed with fatal metachromatic leukodystrophy, her family was forced to raise $500,000 and relocate to Italy – because the lifesaving treatment was not FDA approved. Today, Riley is fighting for Right to Try 2.0: congressional legislation designed to let people with ultra-rare diseases access cutting-edge individualized therapies without bureaucratic delays from the FDA. The Goldwater Institute says the bill would create a federal pathway for patients with rare and ultra-rare diseases to access gene-based therapies designed for one person alone, which cannot move through the FDA's clinical trial process in time to save a life. The original Right to Try was signed into federal law in 2018. Dr. Simone Gold joins Dr. Drew to examine Riley's story, connecting it to a broader pattern of federal overreach in medical freedom – especially its hindrance of early outpatient therapeutics during COVID-19. On a quiet news day, Cal Hutson takes a philosophical deep dive into the Green Bay Packers' team-building approach. Forget the "vibe analysts" and their obsession with splashy free agent signings; Cal breaks down why consistently winning in the NFL comes down to smart drafting, player development, and disciplined roster management. It is the core difference between a sustainable franchise and one stuck in a cycle of rebuilding. This episode dissects the common arguments for chasing big names in free agency and explains why that path often leads to cap issues and mediocrity. Cal illustrates how the Packers' commitment to homegrown talent, exemplified by players like Jordan Love and Zach Tom, creates flexibility and a winning culture. Hear why the NFC North rivals consistently fall into the same traps, and why Green Bay's patient, data-driven strategy keeps them in the hunt for championships year after year. Pack Nation, are you hearing this? The absolute, deafening silence from the N F L and those jabronis in the N F C North has Big Sal fired up! While the meatball commentators scratch their heads, Sal sees the truth: this quiet isn't empty, it's confirmation that your Green Bay Packers are building a silent, unstoppable freight train ready to roll. Sal breaks down why the Vikings, Bears, and Lions are so quiet—they're scared! They're watching Jordan Love and the young defense grow, frozen in a state of paralysis while Green Bay's deceptive silence becomes a strategic masterstroke. It's not just fear, it's grudging respect for a team built to dominate in the dark, honing a green and gold wrecking ball nobody sees coming. Don't miss Sal's guarantee for the N F C North!
