On Tuesday's Mark Levin Show, the Democratic Party is being internally devoured by Marxism and Islamism, ideologies foreign to America's founding principles. These forces, power-hungry and seeking centralized control, mask their hatred for the country as righteousness, liberation, equality, and affordability, while spreading rapidly and replacing the party's base and leadership.  In response, a fascistic reaction emerges on the radical right by grifters like podcasters and influencers who gain fame and wealth promoting it. Both Marxists and fascists seek to destroy American institutions—the former to replace them, the latter claiming they fail—leading to dwindling support for the Declaration, Constitution, and founders. The Republican Party resists this fascistic right, albeit insufficiently, whereas the Democratic Party, having unleashed and failed to control these forces, is now becoming the Marxist left. Also, Rep Mike Lawler calls in and explains that the Democrat government shutdown was idiotic, aimed at fighting Trump and appeasing their far-left base through political leverage rather than benefiting Americans or addressing healthcare. He argues that Obamacare's affordability relies solely on federal subsidies like enhanced ACA tax credits, which he is open to extending for one year to enable fundamental fixes, as the program has driven up costs over 15 years, destroyed the system through ineffective consolidation, and failed to achieve economies of scale.  Afterward, UC Berkeley student radicals from groups including Students Organizing for Liberation, Jewish Voice for Peace, and Young Democratic Socialists of America organized protests against a Turning Point event. These protesters are anti-Israel, anti-US radicals linked to Soros operations and leftist figures like Bernie Sanders and AOC, who seek to overthrow the country rather than engage in civil debate. More To The Story: About 2,100 people are on death row in America. Some have been there for decades, in part because executions have been on the decline in the US. But that's changing. So far this year, 41 people have been executed, up from 25 last year, and six more executions are scheduled. Early in his second term, President Donald Trump signed an executive order reinstating federal executions while encouraging states to expand the use of capital punishment. One man has seen many of these executions up close. The Reverend Jeff Hood is an Old Catholic Church priest, an ordained Baptist minister, a racial justice activist, and something of a go-to spiritual adviser for many currently on death row. As humans, we are governed by our core beliefs, many of which we aren't even aware of. There are so many things we believe to be true and so many foundational concepts of our perception we never question. So in this episode, we're going to question them. Ram Dass was an American Spiritual teacher, psychologist, and writer. He gained popularity in the early 1960s by bringing concepts of consciousness and spirituality from India, to America.  His book, "Be Here Now" is a spiritual classic selling over two million copies. He began as a professor at Harvard before being fired along with Timothy Leary for experimenting and advocating the use of psychedelics. Now, as a proper Christian, I was fairly unaware of Ram Dass. That is until the winter of 2024 when my Dad, Dan Miller of 48 Days To The Work & Life You Love fame, was diagnosed with cancer. During the six weeks between his diagnosis and ultimate death, he had little interest in any topic other than spirituality. And one of the people he tuned into was Ram Dass. My brother Jared and my Dad would pull up YouTube videos of Ram Dass and I got my first real exposure. My spiritual journey since then has been nothing short of revelatory. And such was my delight when the giant publisher, Harper, contacted me about doing a show on a new book from Ram Dass. What it ended up being was a new book compiled from over 50 talks Ram Dass conducted, compiled and edited by Parvati Markus, who was at the right hand of Ram Dass since the beginning of his spiritual leadership. Parvati is an author of multiple books on spirituality and one of the closest long term friends to Ram Dass that ever existed. In this episode Parvati joins me to talk through key issues Ram discusses such as our human propensity, especially in western cultures, to think in terms of “us” vs “them.” We discuss Judgement vs appreciation. Then attachments and the danger of what we cling to. And we spend a lot of time talking about the dangers of identifying with our roles, which for much of humanity, again, I think exaggerated in our western culture, is all that we know to identify with.
