You finally have something good — and it's terrifying you.Maybe things have been calm, loving, even beautiful lately and instead of enjoying it, you're on edge. Scanning for signs. Picking fights. Pulling away. Waiting for it all to fall apart. If you've ever felt more anxious during the good times than the hard ones, this episode is for you. This week we're diving deep into one of the most misunderstood relationship patterns — the anxiety that shows up not when things are going wrong, but when things are going right. We're unpacking where this comes from, what it actually looks like in your day-to-day relationship and why left unchecked, it can quietly destroy the very thing you're desperate to hold onto.Because here's the truth nobody tells you — learning to let love feel safe is some of the hardest and most important work you'll ever do.In this episode we cover:Why your past has trained your nervous system to distrust happinessThe sneaky ways this anxiety shows up without you even realisingHow it impacts your partner and the connection between youPractical ways to start interrupting the pattern and choosing presence over fearThis one might hit close to home. I'm just going to come right out and say it. This last year has been a lot.I've got a high-energy toddler. My mum is living with us and navigating dementia, which is equal parts beautiful and heartbreaking. We're growing businesses, making big decisions, feeling financial pressure even when things are working.I'm moving through perimenopause, which honestly feels like being a different version of myself depending on the day.And then I came across this research on the Happiness Dip, that our happiness tends to dip in our late 40s before rising again, and I had one of those moments where you just stop and go:Oh… this isn't random. This is exactly where I am.So in this episode, I'm talking honestly about what this phase feels like, why so many of us hit this dip, what I'm starting to see on the other side of it, and how you can start walking towards the climb instead of waiting for it to find you. Because I don't want you to just survive this phase.I want you to design what comes next. What You'll Learn:Why your late 40s can feel unexpectedly heavy (even when life is “good”)What the research says about why people in their sixties and seventies report higher happinessThe difference between doing things out of momentum versus doing things out of meaningThe mindset shift older adults make that increases happiness again Why 49 feels less like a number to dread and more like a doorway to your next era Hosted on Acast. This week we are learning about; The plan of happinessThe plan of salvationThe celestial kingdomThe afterlifeHeaven and hell“Great Shall Be Their Reward and Eternal Shall Be Their Glory”Doctrine and Covenants 76Before the gospel was restored on the earth, most Christians thought when we die, things were pretty black and white. There was just heaven or hell. Good people went to heaven and bad people went to hell. See? Black and white. Cut and dry. But can the entire human family really be divided into just good or bad? Joseph and Sidney were wondering about this when the Lord showed them a vision so stunning, so amazing, so illuminating that the Saints simply called it “the Vision.” Joseph smith learned that God is more merciful than just dividing people into two groups. Instead of there just being heaven and hell, there are different degrees or levels of heaven. The tellestial like the starsThe terrestrial like the moonAnd celestial like the sun! We are all children of God.And Jesus Christ is our Savior.Heavenly Father wants us all to return to live with Him forever. This year we are studying the Doctrine and Covenants. The conversation emphasizes the need for compassionate communication and support for men experiencing mental health challenges, especially during the transition to fatherhood. We tackle the sensitive subject of postpartum depression in men, shattering the misconceptions that it only affects women. Men may manifest this condition through anger, isolation, or even numbness, and we need to increase awareness and support for them. The discussion wraps up by redefining resilience—not as a single trait but as a set of attributes that include courage, agency, and purpose. The Marianne Williamson Podcast: Conversations That Matter

Today I choose happinessThe circumstances of my life may go up and down. For the mortal world is changeable. The immortal world, however, is changeless. For there, there is only love. I build my house on the rock of the immortal world. Today I choose only immortal thoughts. I extend my perception beyond what my senses perceive to what my heart knows to be true. I withdraw my belief that I need anyone or anything to be other than what they are in order for me to be secure. I know that whenever fear expresses itself, love will ultimately prevail. Therefore, I need not fear, nor cry, nor despair to the extent to which I see what is truly true I see only cause for happiness. Happiness is the choice I make today, it does not rest on my circumstances, but on my frame of mind. I surrender to God any emotional habits that lead me down the path of unhappiness and pray for guidance in shifting my thoughts, in cultivating the habits of happiness, I attract the people and situations that match its frequency. I smile more often, give praise more often, give thanks more often, and I'm glad more often for such is my choice.Today I choose happiness This is a public episode.
