And if you've been with me for a little while, I'm so grateful you are here -- on this planet at this miraculous time to be ALIVE!The mission of this podcast to awaken our divine power and highest alignment. And one of the most potent ways that happens is by attuning our energy, attention, and vibration. Speaking of vibration…My guest today, Sigmar Berg, understands vibration, frequency, and sound healing on a whole other level! As the creator of the Lovetuner®, he's constantly busy researching and sharing the impact of what he calls the “divine” or “cosmic” frequency.I've had a Lovetuner® for three and a half years (thanks, mom!) and to say it's been a extraordinary tool to have had on my spiritual journey would be an understatement. I've given the Lovetuner® to many friends and clients, shared it as a housewarming present, brought it with me on retreat, and start my mornings with it at my sacred altar. You will be shocked to hear the response I've had to sharing this sound healing flute with others. We touch on so many different threads in this conversation—from Sigmar's spiritual awakening, to the mission he has for the Lovetuner®, to studies that have been done on frequency and vibration and authenticity, to receivership, and even to the orchestra of nature. In this podcast episode, you will learn:What the Lovetuner® isWhat a recent study revealed about the impact of the Lovetuner® on anxietySigmar's spiritual awakening that brought him to this mission with the Lovetuner®What a connection to nature teaches us about receivershipThe significance of the 528 Hz frequencyWhat to bear in mind with spirituality in the corporate worldThe science of how the Lovetuner® helps us heal as individuals and communitiesThe difference between pleasure and happinessWhy those 30 seconds of silence after using the Lovetuner® are so criticalWhat Sigmar's book One Journey: The Love Tuner Book is aboutWhat begins to happen as you come into resonance with yourselfHow authenticity helps us even be open to receiving loveHow the Lovetuner®, 528 Hz, and the color green work togetherA deep dive into tree energy medicineSome common misconceptions about sound healing and mindfulnessThis is no doubt one of my all time conversations I've ever had on the pod. Hey, happy people! In today's episode, I'm thrilled to welcome back Diane Sorensen. You might remember Diane from her previous appearance on the podcast, where we dived into the Rescue and Empowerment Triangles. This time, Diane and I explore the powerful and sometimes misunderstood topic of boundaries.Have you ever found yourself saying yes when you really wanted to say no? I know I have! It's something I'm working on myself, and in this episode, Diane helps us demystify boundaries so we can better understand their importance in maintaining healthier, more authentic relationships.Diane shares her personal journey of going from having no boundaries to discovering how they have the power to set us free and strengthen our connections with others. Whether it's a relationship with a child, a partner, or a parent, we all play a role in how those relationships develop. And, as Diane so beautifully puts it, it all begins with setting boundaries that respect both ourselves and others. Here's what you'll hear in this episode:What boundaries truly are and why they matter for personal happinessWhy setting boundaries is an essential step in any personal growth journeyPractical tips on how to start saying no in a healthy, guilt-free wayHow boundaries create more honest and genuine relationshipsWhy most of us have been conditioned not to set boundaries and how we can unlearn those habitsDiane also shares how boundaries are not just about saying no to others, but about saying yes to ourselves and our happiness. It's a powerful conversation that I'm so excited to share with you. I hope it helps you, as it's helped me, on this journey to living a more authentic and happy life.Check out this free resource Diane has generously provided to help you take the first step toward setting healthy boundaries. It can feel really hard when your kid is unhappy or uncomfortable. It's easy to blame yourself and feel like you should have done something differently. But your kid's happiness isn't your job. In this episode, I'll explain what I mean by that and how you can help your child process their emotions without trying to solve all their problems for them. You'll Learn:How much responsibility you have for your kid's happinessWhy making your kid's happiness your job might actually be creating other problemsHow to support your child through negative emotion in a way that empowers them to soothe and regulate themselfWe all want our kids to be happy. But what I want even more is for your child to be able to move through any emotion. I want them to be able to be flexible and to have resilience in the face of hardship. To develop those skills and traits, they need to experience discomfort.--------------------------------Motherhood is confusing. There are so many different stages and phases. Babies are so vulnerable. They rely on you for everything. But as kids get older, we have to figure out how to back away, give them more responsibility & freedom, let them grow, change & make mistakes so that they build the skills and resiliency that they need in order to launch into adulthood. One of the biggest skills you can teach your kid is emotional literacy - understanding what they're feeling, how to express it and what to do with their emotions. Your Kid's Happiness Isn't Your JobWe all want our kids to be happy. But what I want even more is for your child to be able to move through any emotion. I want them to be able to be flexible and to have resilience in the face of hardship. To develop those skills and traits, they need to experience discomfort.Often, when your kid is upset or uncomfortable, you go into problem solving mode. You try to figure out how to help them feel better and how to prevent that kind of discomfort in the future. It's normal not to want your kid to be unhappy, but there are a couple things that happen when you work so hard to prevent it. First, it might keep you from showing up the way you want to and being the emotional coach for your kid. When you think it's your responsibility to make your kid happy, you might end up thinking negatively about yourself. You might think you're not a good mom, that you should have planned/done/said something differently. You might see your child's struggles as being your fault. Or think that you have to work harder and be better. This is a really hard place for you to be. And I want you to know that you don't have to take on that guilt. Second, you end up paving such an easy path for your child that they don't have the opportunity to work through problems on their own, which is how they develop resilience and emotional literacy. It simply isn't possible to prevent all problems and discomfort. Even the most “perfect” parent (not a real thing anyway) cannot prevent unhappy situations from happening. None of us feels happy all the time. Your kid is going to have hard things happen. It's a part of life. We don't want them outsourcing their happiness to you or anyone else. Instead, we want them to believe that they have the power to make themself happy even when shitty stuff happens.Your job isn't to eliminate discomfort for your kid. It is to teach them how to handle it and move through their emotions in a healthy way. Guide them when they are unhappy. Allow them to see that they can handle their feelings, that they know how to feel unhappy and how to shift to a different emotion. How To Support Your Kid's EmotionsBefore you can coach your kid, you have to shift your own thoughts. If you are thinking, “It's my fault. I have to...

In this solo episode, I unpack my emotions around the concept of comparison and dive into why I (and many others) believe it is the thief of joy. I talk about my history with comparing, some recent examples of how it has gotten in the way of my happiness, and what I think causes the comparison. Specifically, I discuss the role my ego plays in it all. Full disclosure, I took an edible right before recording this episode and it definitely hits midway through, so this is also an inside look into my *edible therapy sessions* that I reference as one of the reasons why I love cannabisKey Takeaway / Points:Why comparison is the thief of joyHow I felt returning to social media after a week off for vacationComparison as a mom and some recent examples where it has gotten in the way of my happinessWhy our ego plays a huge role in this topicAn inside look into my *edible therapy sessions*Follow me:Instagram: @cameronoaksrogersWebsite: freckledfoodie.comTikTok: @cameronoaksrogersTwitter: @freckledfoodieYoutube: Cameron Rogers / Freckled FoodiePinterest: Freckled FoodieThis episode was edited by Tim Flanzbaum Our GDPR privacy policy was updated on August 8, 2022. Of course. But what I love about Frank Schaeffer is that he has discovered the beauty in caring for others and the power of love, children and family to bring meaning into our lives. In today's podcast, Frank and I talk about his latest book, Fall in Love, Have Children, Stay Put, Save the Planet, Be Happy, but we could be talking about his entire life. Frank is a true gem. Enjoy. Watch and listen to our conversation here Our conversation is all around that elusive word “Happiness” Why is it so hard for people to find purpose and happiness in their lives? Far too many of my clients have achieved professional success yet are searching for something more. They arrive at a point where they've finally "made it" only to discover it isn't enough, or they find themselves banging up against a glass ceiling that won't budge, or they're asking themselves almost daily what are they doing in that job. So many of the things we thought we valued have come under greater scrutiny as a result of the pandemic. The impact of these past two years is not going away, and the way we used to do things is probably not coming back. What can we do? Ask Frank. What he might tell you is that this is a time to shift your life's direction and focus on what “really matters.” Are you ready to make some life changes? Read Frank's new book. Also, perhaps our program, Rethink Your Journey wth Andi Simon, could be of help to you. Maybe you want to join our group on Facebook, Rethink with Andi Simon. Reflection about Happiness-Why it's super important to take care of your mind-body-spirit❤️
Have you ever been so caught up in the process of creating something, you wind up losing sight of what you wanted as an end product? Hard work and ambition are admirable, especially when invested in the creation of new and exciting technologies. However, it is easy to get lost in the mechanics of work and to forget about the vision that inspired you to take up the mantle in the first place. In this episode, Alexander McCaig and Jason Rigby discuss the negative impact of the ongoing tech race on humanity—and how we can fix it. Are We Real-Life Inspector Gadgets?: Jason pointed out a discussion made by Aubrey Marcus that was pertinent to humanity's current situation. It was about how Inspector Gadget was dependent on his niece, Penny, to solve crimes and figure out cases. However, he always thought that he was the one responsible for saving the world when he created all sorts of new and complex technologies. Several parallels can be seen between humanity and Inspector Gadget. One is that despite our desire to foster peace and understanding, we do not approach such lofty goals with a concrete plan nor with small actions, we can commit to on a daily basis. Another is in our obsession to constantly develop new and exciting technologies without a clear end goal in mind. Since the 1800s, when humans started experimenting with the implications of automating routine activities and making work more efficient, there has been a tendency to look at technology as a way to bring about heaven on earth. However, utopia cannot be achieved just by perfecting the physical aspect of our world. It's also about the parts of our human experience that are not tangible, such as our understanding of one another. The work we put in research and development can easily become divorced from our understanding of each other, and of nature when we forget about using technology to co-create with nature and not around it. Technology Is Not the Key to Happiness: Why do we keep losing our way? According to Jason, it is because we believe that more tech automatically makes us more happy—even though there was never an assurance that increasingly sophisticated technologies would bring us more fulfillment. If modern technology is being used to process and analyze data at the speed of light, why don't we turn to nature for inspiration more? Nature is constantly generating and giving data. The problem now is we are stuck churning out technology just for the sake of having it. When it comes to smartphones, it seems like we have plenty of new models to choose from every year. Plenty of people plan their finances around the next flagship device to be released, immediately letting go of the ones they just bought as they chase the next best thing. However, there was never a need to let go of so much tech. Their main function was to serve as tools for us to make better decisions, but not to hold our hand and teach us how to make these better decisions ourselves. What's this extravagant tech race all about? What are we trying to reach for? Constructing the Tech Tower of Babel: Perhaps we invest in the latest technologies in the hopes that it can give us a deeper understanding of ourselves. “We've had great advances in technology, but why has there not been a correlation of war and death going down? Why has human happiness not gone up? Right? Why have all these prevalent diseases increased?” Alex asked, “It's because we still lack understanding. The technology hasn't been designed to understand one another.” We could start using technology to start asking and answering difficult questions. Maybe we can finally compel ourselves to reflect on how there are aspects of our personality that are mirror images of what is happening around us; or how our thoughts are similar to the state of nature. We can look into the log of thoughts, behaviors, and actions that are produced by our devices to finally face the parts of ourselves that we've been trying to ignore. The TARTLE marketplace envisions a world where everybody has access to that deeper understanding. Anybody, regardless of their social status or location, can take responsibility for their part in changing the world. Closing Thoughts: Standing in Solidarity: Amidst the pandemic, the call for isolation has had a massive effect on the human experience. We are similar to trees in that when we stand alone, the likelihoods of withering away are high. However, when we live in communes the way forests are made out of a society of trees, our individual identities and personalities help ensure our continued survival as a collective. TARTLE is analogous to what is going on in the forest. It is composed of many people, with a wide variety of characteristics, personalities, and thoughts. We have the opportunity to unite and data that is right, truthful, and meaningful with others around the clock. What's your data worth? www.tartle.co Tcast is brought to you by TARTLE. Welcome to Episode 160 This one starts out on an interesting note as Steve and Dan discuss a future Alanis Morissette concert date. We'll leave it at that and let you listen. But yes, the frustration in Dan's voice is real. This wasn't for entertainment purposes, we assure you. What are your thoughts on the matter? Be sure to let us know. It always makes for great podcasting if you shoot us some voicemails. Speaking of voicemail, we play one from our friend Paul Hart who just wanted to say 'Hi". The other minutia includes: "Dan's Corner of Health and Happiness" Why was it called "Gilligan's Island"? Peter Jackson, Mira Sorvino, Ashley Judd, and the Weinstein fall out A little crypto talk When it comes to what we've been watching: Steve gives his thoughts and review of "Love and Monsters"(VOD/Netflix) and Dan chimes in as he'd seen in several months ago. Dan talks about" Friends: The Reunion", now on HBO Max Dan also gives his review of Disney's "Cruella" (Now in theaters) Steve and Dan review "A Quiet Place 2" (Now in theaters) We wrap it all up with a little music discussion (you knowhow much we love those) That's Episode 160 in a nutshell. Can money buy happiness? Many great minds throughout history have tried to answer this age-old question. And I bet you’ve pondered it a time or two...Over the years, there haven’t been any great anwers eithe, leaving many of us still wondering if money can truly buy happiness, and others assuming that it does.As a result, millions of people have bought into the idea that they need to spend their lives chasing wealth as the way to happiness and wellbeing.Which totally works out for capitalism, right? Make people feel like they need more shit to be happy. Keep the world turning round.Enter Daniel Kahneman, a 2002 Nobel prize winner, whose research has added some interesting perspectives on the role of money in increasing a person’s sense of well-being.In a nutshell, his study determined that having enough financial resources to afford life’s basic needs is crucial to avoiding significant degrees of emotional distress. He found that in the United States, the income that seems to hit the bullseye on the money-happiness relationship is about $75,000 per year. At these levels, higher income may increase life satisfaction, which refers to how people think about their lives. But well-being or how life feels on a daily basis, stays the same.More recently, a 2018 study from Purdue University used much wider data from the Gallup World Poll and found that the ideal income point for people is $95,000 for life satisfaction and $60,000 – $75,000 for emotional well-being. So taken together, these studies found that people’s emotional well-being, or how they felt on a daily basis, didn’t improve as they made more than $75,000, but their life satisfaction, or how happy they were with their life overall, did...up to about $95,000.Interestingly, above $105,000 it started to go down!Dr Sonja Lyubomirsky, a leader in the field of positive psychology, summarizes the idea like this:You need money to meet basic needs, such as access to healthcare and a safe place to live. If you grow up without resources like food, clothing or shelter, then having more money really makes a huge difference in your life and overall well-being.But once you hit that middle class level, there really is no correlation above that. When you have a bunch of money, at the end of the day you still ask yourself, “Am I living a meaningful life?”“What is my purpose?”You still have to answer those questions. And here’s the other thing: being rich is relative. We have an evolutionary tendency to compare ourselves to other people. When we feel like we can’t maintain the same standard of living as our peers, it makes us unhappy. How you rate yourself in terms of your subjective well-being, like whether you feel like you’re happy or satisfied or not, is very dependent on how you see other people doing around you and what they have. But here’s something I want you to remember: despite the role that money does play, purpose is more important than money to be happy.Research consistently shows that if you want to be happier in your job, you shouldn’t chase a high salary. It doesn’t mean you should turn down a good salary, but don’t let that be the driving force. From a happiness standpoint, it’s more important that your job provides a sense of meaning or purpose.A place for you to have your strengths shine. And the ability to have those basic needs met.Not only does having meaning make you happier, but studies have shown that you tend to be more productive, too. When you’re engaged in an activity that you find challenging and satisfying, you experience that flow state – what I like to call your “Peak Experience”.Truth is, how you spend your money is really critical to your happiness as well.In today’s episode, I share some pro tips on what this could look like and offer suggestions for a few places you can start right now.We are in a time when our habits around money and shopping are changing.Simply understanding what will make you happy is essential. Being aware of our money beliefs and being open to challenging them and shifting them, is more important than ever. The work needs to start on the inside – with your thoughts, your goals, your values, your living with meaning and purpose.Finding balance between finances and other life-domains is a key aspect to achieving happiness. I invite you to dig in with me. And I challenge you to ask yourself::: What level of financial freedom do you want to see in your life?Like you’ve heard me say before: Money in this society is power. And we need more people with that power who want to use it for good.Money is not evil in and of itself. It's how you earn it and how you spend it. So earn it with integrity. Spend it with love. In This Episode You’ll Learn:Why how you spend your money is critical to your happiness – and why spending it on experiences, rather than material things, might be a good place to start;)Various studies that have examined the plateau point for money’s impact on people's happinessWhy dream-based budgeting can make all the difference – stop wondering what you need, and be honest about what you actually need vs wantAbout the psychological phenomenon called “hedonic adaptation” – and why it explains that simply getting more money doesn’t make us happierHow to understand the difference between pleasure and happiness – because although money can buy pleasure, it doesn't necessarily mean it can buy happinessWhy imagining your dream income is the first step to making it happenResources:// Want to dive in deeper? BEING IN A HURRY TO GET THINGS DONE DOESN'T WORK Podcast:#364 When you make time for growth, you make time for life. Real fulfillment and real confidence happen only when we slow down and actually live. The truth is, everyone has a life, but not everyone actually lives. In this podcast episode of The Confidence Podcast we're talking about: Why hurrying is detrimental to our productivityWhy hurrying is damaging to our happinessWhy hurrying is deadly to our purpose and plan REVIEW OF THE WEEK: Heart-changing - 5 Stars by sj12_faithfullyfit Trish is not just a confidence coach, she is a life coach ... and now I know EVERYONE needs a life coach. As a kid I always had coaches in my life being involved in sports, but as an adult, I forgot what an important role a coach plate.d My only regret is that I didn't find Trish sooner!! Before I even realized it, I was trapped with unrealistic expectations for myself. I craved JOY or PEACE in my life, but instead, I was exhausted, frustrated and overwhelmed ... Trish has reminded me that it's ok to SLOW DOWN. She has reminded me that God loves ME, not what I do or accomplish. She has challenged me to grow in so many ways, yet it lacks overwhelm. When I take a step back and look how far I have come in the last year, it leaves me speechless. I. have unpacked and conquered so many things that I didn't even know was holding back or weighing me down. I have more work to do and nay more challenges to overcome, but I have leaned into the process and my faith to keep growing. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU Trish for putting yourself out there. I know it's not easy .. but what an impact!!! I will continue to pray God leads you to help so many more people. THOUGHTS FROM A 4-YEAR OLD ON HURRYING: Ellie's clip :) My journey with pace and speed. Podcast on "Forward is a Pace," How to be Happy With Where You Are On Your Journey" espisode from October 2018. Listen directly at: https://www.trishblackwell.com/289-2/. or below on the podcast player. HOW TO BE HAPPY WITH WHERE YOU ARE ON YOUR JOURNEY Remember - by paying attention to the words we use to think about our lives, we determine the pace and peace we will have with our legacy. WHY HURRYING IS DETRIMENTAL TO OUR PRODUCTIVITY We miss out on what really matters We drink the productivity fulfillment kool-aid We damage relationships - with others, with ourselves and with God We live on an empty battery, like machines instead of humans We believe the lie of multi-tasking and we spread ourselves too thin We program ourselves to believe that we are valuable for what we do rather than for who we are SPONSORSHIP NOTE: Fab Fit Fun Box Alright ya'll, I've got to pause our coaching for a moment to let you in on a fab, fit and fun secret ... “What if our financial system looked more like an ecosystem?”This was one of the big-picture questions that eventually led Ethan Roland and Gregory Landua to propose that money isn’t the only form of capital driving the human economy.By viewing the financial system through the lens of permaculture, Roland and Landua eventually settled upon eight forms of capital that they observed flowing between individuals and communities, each with their own unique currencies:Social, financial, living, material, intellectual, experiential, cultural, and spiritual.Roland and Landua’s foundational framework was built for the domain of business, but it’s easy to see how these concepts can be applied more generally for making conscious lifestyle choices – and that’s what I’m all about! :)In this episode, we’ll cover:The eight forms of capital – what they are, how they connect, and how to generate and exchange them in your daily lifeWhat a visit from the family and a food forest installation can tell us about wealth and the pursuit of happinessWhy some forms of capital are more valuable than others, but also why balance is keyPlus, Brooke Sycamore shares a story based on the Chiricahua Apache tale of the coyote and the money tree, with musical accompaniment by yours truly.
Creating happiness in our lives, especially in this fast-paced modern industrialized world, can be a challenge. Today on the podcast we're both honored and excited to share with you one of the most inspirational men in the health and fitness world, Bedros Keuilian, to share with us his incredible story and leadership insight garnered from over two decades where he cerated what he calls "The Immigrant Edge & The American Dream," built on the four pillars of happiness that Bedros has learned apply to all of us: Money, meaning, health, and relationships, and the balance of all four is what truly creates a life of abundance and wellness that we all deserve, but getting there and working to maintain, is not a linear process for us, and definitely was not for Bedros. JOIN THE FACEBOOK GROUP | REVIEW THIS PODCAST As you'll discover in this powerful conversation, where Bedros not only shares with us vulnerably, authentically, and powerfully about what he's overcome in life to create a global fitness empire, but how we can connect the dots and shine light on the contrast in our universal human journey. (that we all walk on this wellness path) That is, how to overcome obstacles, and the mindset and ways of being we all can apply no matter what our past, because the story ahead of us is the one we write with the pen in our hand in this moment, right here, right now. If you're open to inspiration, this episode is going to deliver on how we can become more emotionally resilient and apply these four fundamental pillars of happiness in our lives, no matter what the current reality. Happiness, The Immigrant Edge, and the American Dream Anger, guilt, confusion, and shame. These were all emotions that Bedros Keuilian felt as he worked with his therapist to reconnect with the little boy he once was in Armenia during the Soviet Union era. When Bedros was able to check in with himself and his subconscious thoughts, he discovered that his Immigrant Edge, American Dream, and self-belief are his tools to use for success, confidence, and happiness. How can we let go of the past in order to regain happiness, inner strength, and self-fulfillment? When we don't push forward in our lives, we may be pulled back into feeling negative emotions such as frustration, depression, and anxiety. On today's episode of Wellness Force Radio, one of the fitness industry's most trusted consultant as well as both the Founder and CEO of Fit Body Boot Camp and creator of the Fitness Business Summit, Bedros Keuilian, shares with us how we become emotionally resilient, discover adversity, and live the life that we want through The 4 Pillars of Happiness and HALT: The 4 Pillars of Happiness: Money Meaning Health Relationships Beat anxiety with HALT: Hungry Angry Lonely Tired When you stop feelings of hunger, anger, loneliness, and being tired, you can also beat anxiety in its tracks. This episode is a wonderful reminder that without the knowledge of self, we can't have money, meaning, health, or relationships. Listen to Episode 110 as Bedros Uncovers: Why Bedros identifies with the title as someone who "has the Immigrant Edge and the American Dream." What is the "Immigration Edge" and why is it so important? How Bedros teaches his clients about emotional resilience. What Bedros did to change the money story that he previously knew of as a child. Why Bedros now sees money as a point system that helps him elevate the kind of impacting he's making with his career. How Bedros went from being $127,000 in debt to becoming debt-free and serving so many people through his business. The business and life lessons that Bedros learned from his father by spending time in his tailor shop and seeing how he treated customers. Bedros' 4 Pillars of Happiness Why enough is never enough: you can always work harder to accomplish greater goals. Why Bedros chose to work in the fitness industry to help gyms and entrepreneurs give their clients a better service. How we can let go of anger and resentment to live a happier and successful life. How Bedros' therapist was able to help him beat his anxiety with HALT. The importance of dominating your life path and future by having closure with your past. Why pushing forward and being productive helps us to be happy. Why you "can't cut your family, but you can edit your relationship with them" and what it looks like. Berdos' advice on why you don't have to talk about your next career, project, or goal with your family when you visit with them. How we can let go from people who trigger our negative emotions? How can we keep calm and move forward with what we want to do with our lives? Top 3 Takeaways From The Show When you want to start a new project, a career, or make a major life change, there will be people out there you will tell you that you can't do it or it's not a good idea. A lot of times, those people are our families and they will go against our dreams because they don't want us to fail. However, if you have a goal that you want to accomplish, you're more likely to do it when you don't tell your family about it. Don't tell you family about your business because they will probably only have negative thoughts about it. Instead, talk to people who are going to get excited with you and are there to encourage your dream. When we are emotionally resilient and have experienced adversity, it is easier for us to let go from people and situations that trigger our negative emotions. Experiencing a difficult moment can help us keep calm and move forward with our lives. If you're feeling overwhelmed and stressed, it's okay to hit the pause button. Go ahead to cancel and schedule that meeting or task. If you want to succeed, put your self first and take care of yourself both emotionally and physically. Power Quotes From Bedros Keuilian [tweetthis] "If you grow your emotional and adversity quotient, you will be a well-rounded human that can deal with anything." - @BedrosKeuilian [/tweetthis] "The immigrant edge mentality is about getting resourceful when you don't have any resources. You realize that no matter how bad things get in the USA, they're still better than in any other place in the world." - Bedros Keuilian on how he gained the Immigrant Edge during his transition from Armenia to the USA. "Even if you have a job, go start a side project, be part of a charity, or do something like build a house in a third-world country with Habitat for Humanity. These experiences will give you the environmental exposure that allows you to build your emotional resiliency and adversity. If you can grow your emotional and adversity quotient, you will be a well-rounded human that can deal with any adversity or difficult factor when it comes. Not if it comes, but when it comes because stressful events are sure to come in anyone's life." - Bedros Keuilian on how to build emotional resiliency and adversity. "Adversity is an advantage and I started to re-frame my thinking about negative factors. Anything bad that happens is actually a learning lesson towards something better." - Bedros Keuilian on the power of adversity. "Enough is never enough. I'm going to keep doing what I'm doing forever because I know that if I don't focus on dominating my path and my purpose, I will go deep into my darkness and the monster will come out. I will begin to think about what happened to me as a kid in Armenia." - Bedros Keuilian on the importance of doing what you love to do and how it helps to keep you moving forward. "When you are hungry, angry, lonely, or tired, it's so easy for your body to manifest anxiety and that's what happened to me. If I can stop myself from feeling those emotions, I can stop my anxiety in its tracks." - Bedros Keuilian on his therapist teaching him about HALT and how it helped him with his anxiety and negative emotions. "It's highly important to process the negativity in your life. Negativity thoughts are like a computer virus. They may go into isolation, but you can never completely kill a computer virus and there's new software to cover it up. The moment you stop updating your software, that virus might just come back out again. Stay on your path of domination and do good because the moment you don't, you can go inward into the darkness and try to find problems that we need to be"fixed" when in reality you're just delving into depression." -Bedros Keuilian on fighting negative thoughts and staying strong. About Bedros Keuilian Bedros Keuilian has spent the last 20 years as the genius behind some of the biggest names in the health and fitness industry. At the age of 6 in 1980, Bedros and his family immigrated to the USA from communist Russia in Armenia on a search of a brighter future and opportunity. As the CEO and founder of Fit Body, recently listed as one of Inc. 5000’s fastest growing businesses of 2016, Bedros truly practices what he preaches, implementing the same formula for success in his life as a dedicated father, husband, and a pillar for his community that he brings to his fitness clients worldwide.
