Our guest today is Pat Coyne, coach and owner of Black Sheep Performance in Cincinnati, Ohio. Pat started helping clients of all levels reach their fullest potential after his career as a 4-star high school football recruit ended in college due to injury. Pat started Black Sheep Performance in 2018 on the side of a house in Cincinnati, OH. Within 3 years BSP organically outgrew itself, working from renting gym space, to a barn, to a state of the art 11,000 sq. foot training facility. Pat has mentored under some of the top coaches in the nation, is a progressive thinker, and gets great results with his clients in his fast-growing business. When I moved back to Ohio in July, I connected with Pat shortly thereafter and have gotten several training sessions and conversations in with him since then. Pat has a training style that fuses many of the elements I consider essential: A great environment, room for exploration/creativity, competition and reaction, as well as an integration of modern speed training methods, such as those taught by multi-time podcast guest, Adarian Barr. As such, it was only a matter of time until Pat and I sat down together and recorded a podcast. Two of the big things that Pat and I are both passionate about are being life-long learners and then looking at (and experiencing) the holistic effects of things like the training environment, athlete autonomy/creativity, and the effects of music, rhythm and reactions on performance. On this podcast, Pat and I go into his background as an athlete and coach, his thoughts on structured vs. unstructured/open training, his progressions on speed training, rhythm, timing, how he challenges athletes on a holistic level, and some deeper discussion on the evolution of the human/sports performance industry. But.. how uncomfortable did you make your athletes in a healthy way, in a safe environment, to where they could fail, to where you could see how resilient that athlete is becoming” “I want to see the full human being first, then we can smack the weights” “I feel like you make the most progress when you are having fun… why does a kid make progress so fast. Why do we throw that out when we are working with a pro athlete?” “They may have got their asses kicked,
We always love chatting with Pat Flynn, and in this episode, we discuss how to build super fans in your business, how to grow an audience ethically, how to promote affiliate offers to your audience and make good money through affiliate marketing in a very ethical way that makes customers actually thank you for doing it. We also talk to Pat about how he got involved in some of the deals he has equity in. He’s not just an affiliate for products such as ConvertKit, Lead Pages, Teachable and Samcart, he’s also an advisor and gets some sort of revenue share. Cryptocurrency is slowly but surely taking over the world, one blockchain at a time. Unfortunately, the IRS has caught on and isn’t going to let people make money off crypto investments without paying taxes. But the silver lining is a tech startup like ZenLedger, which works to help investors and tax professionals with their tax compliance needs as it relates to cryptocurrency. In the latest edition of the Silicon Valley Momentum Podcast, Roland Siebelink spoke with ZenLedger co-founder and CEO Pat Larsen. They discuss ZenLedger’s strengths as a company and Pat’s unique journey to becoming the CEO of a startup: How Pat’s time as a chemistry major and Navy pilot led him to become a CEO. The challenges of deciding you want to be a CEO before having a use case. Why startup leaders should take every meeting they can get when looking for investors. Why curiosity is a quality that startups shouldn’t overlook when hiring employees. The importance of CEOs accepting that they don’t have all of the answers, as long as they’re looking for answers.

Pat Rice is a Hall of Fame coach at Waunakee High School. Coach Rice's teams have won six state titles and his overall winning percentage is among the highest in state history. More importantly, Coach Rice has positively impacted countless lives over the course of almost 30 years as head coach. He's recognized as one of the best coaches in state history and as a leader from whom young coaches can learn. On this SGG episode, we discussed: 1. How coaching is different from when his dad coached at McFarland HS: it's a year-round process. 2. “My dad always put kids first…It starts and ends with the kids.” How Pat's tried to model this lesson in his own coaching life. 3. Being a “coach of coaches” – using the curriculum for player development and coaching development. 4. How technology has changed coaching – and how Coach Rice views “techy young guys” as important members of his staff. 5. The development of pillars and identities on the team. 6. Getting buy-in on the offensive line by developing the “Hogs” and making the offensive line a high-profile position. 7. Staying on the trending, forward-thinking side of the game and not lagging behind in innovation. “You have to stay in front of the curve.” Continually learning and not being satisfied -- including making the change to the spread offense even though the team was in the midst of a long streak of great success. 8. Not going half-way in making changes – being fully committed to changes that are made. (including the example of Nick Saban making the change at Alabama) 9. “My staff knows that their thoughts and opinions are respected and we're in it together.” 10. The nuts and bolts of end of season meetings on “where can we get better.” 11. Working with a neighboring school to evaluate each other's programs. 12. “If you're going to make changes, you've got to be willing to listen to other people.” 13. Having a staff that is passionate, committed, loyal, and knowledgeable. 14. The positive, meaningful role created for parents via the booster club. “Make the parents part of the equation…We're all trying to move this forward together.” 15. Keeping interactions with parents positive and fun. 16. “We don't want football to be the pinnacle of their life…We want football to be a part of their life. Something they can build from.” 17. End-of-practice conversations with the team that center on bigger life issues and developing into better young men. 18. Focusing on the journey and appreciating it. “Once Friday night comes, the hay is in the barn and we're going to give it our best shot…If you aim completely at wins and losses, then you're missing the mark.” 19. Always staying together, getting up, and bouncing back together. The opportunities provided by setbacks – “that's when they need you the most.”

Pat King is one of my oldest friends and he’s got one of the most moving and powerful stories I’ve ever heard. Going from living as a full-time carer for his mother and dropping out of high school to starting and selling multiple businesses and starting a lifelong journey of self-realization, Pat has experienced more in his life than pretty much anyone I know. Pat’s lived through everything this crazy world has thrown at him, and he’s taken it all and come out the other side as a better man. It was a total blessing to be joined by Pat for this episode of What Are You Made Of? and talk recovery, reinvention, and realizing who you want to be. In this episode, find out about: How Pat went from dropout to dream life, and the surprising similarities between both experiences Why Pat had to tear down everything he’d built to become the person he wanted to be What to do when you know you’re not okay… and how to act on it Finding your purpose and learning to stop chasing the next big thing Why we’re all in recovery from something If you want more of Pat and, after listening to this episode, who wouldn’t? CTW S2E08 – Don’t Go Back to Sleep Patricia Taub is an author and life-long feminist. Her advocacy for women dates back to feminism’s second wave; about 40 years ago, while pregnant with her oldest son, Pat went to her first protest march. After writing the advice column, Coping, for almost eight years, she founded and hosted the award-winning program, Women’s Voices, for the NPR affiliate station, WAER. In 1995, Pat had the chance to learn about the difficulties of women in developing countries when she attended the UN Women’s Conference in Beijing. The experience ignited her devotion to helping women, and in 2001 her work on community activism for women was honored by the National Organization for Women. Frustrated about the lack of resources on helping manage life as an older woman, Pat created the blog Women’s Older Wisdom. Through the blog, along with the WOW Facebook community, Pat creates spaces for older women to connect and exchange personal experiences. In addition to writing on her blog, Pat has also authored the memoir, The Mother of My Invention. Pat joins me today to discuss women’s mental health and empowerment. She shares some of the biggest concerns women have about getting older, such as Alzheimer’s and being isolated. She explains why it’s important for women to find and build a community with other women and reveals what the older women in her community are doing to dispel some of the toxic myths that revolve around women and aging. She also encourages women to reclaim the ‘crone’ phase in a positive way and illustrates how ancient cultures and societies saw the phases of womanhood. ‘We have a responsibility to show younger women that we can hold our heads high in old age.’ - Pat Taub This week on Coffee Table Wisdom: The biggest concerns women have about getting older Why older women fear isolation The importance and impact of women building a community How Pat’s community of older women inspired a group of young women to learn from them How women are destroying the toxic myths about women and aging Why older women should support younger women The three phases of a woman’s life and how to reclaim ‘old age’ Resources mentioned: The Gift of Years by Joan Chittister Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood by Rebecca Wells Connect with Pat Taub: Women’s Older Wisdom Pat Taub on Twitter Email: hello@wowblog.me Join the Revolution! How Pat and the team persevere and get the job done with less than their best. We take full stock at the 4 game mark as the regular season is suddenly a quarter of the way gone.
About the Episode On this episode, I'm joined by inspirational entrepreneur, speaker, podcast host and co-founder of GoBundance, Pat Hiban. He has built an incredible legacy that goes beyond real estate and business. He has put work into helping other entrepreneurs build legacies and inspired the masses by showing what it takes to have staying power in entrepreneurship. Pat has done the leg work in the real estate business, including being a pioneer in the realm of building a real estate team, growing a team of 54 members, losing almost all his savings in the stock market crash, and building it all back up from the ground. Now, he's on a mission to inspire people and provide much needed mentorship to those who need it. He wrote “6 Steps to 7 Figures, A Real Estate Professional's Guide Building Wealth and Creating your Destiny.” He co-founded GoBundance, a mastermind organization that has grown to 200 members. He has taken this further by writing a second book Tribe of Millionaires, in which Gobundance members share valuable life lessons. In our industry, one of the things that's really lacking is the combination of hard work and consistency, and as a result, many agents are failing to build businesses that have long-term success. Another big issue is the lack of mentorship for all of the agents. Pat and other top-producing entrepreneurs are evidence that success requires us to roll up our sleeves, stay consistent and persistent, put ourselves around the right people. “Proximity is power, and it does matter who we hang out with. We can all get better from the sum of our parts.” In Today's Episode, We Talk About; 02:54 - How Pat grew a team of 54 people. 08:19 - Marketing campaigns, main lead levers and the value of follow-up. 16:53 - How Pat lost $800k in retirement savings in the stock market crash and bounced back. 22:06 - Pat's new book, Tribe of Millionaires 27:50 - The value of masterminds Guest Info Pat Hiban is an Author, Speaker, Podcast Host of Real Estate Rockstars and Co-founder of GoBundance. Elise’s guest today is Patricia Kelly, President and CEO of Ebony Horsewomen Inc., in Hartford, Connecticut. What began in 1984 as a cultural enrichment organization made up of African-American female equestrians has evolved into a devoted team of mental health professionals and horse specialists working to guide over 300 at-risk youth annually towards successful lives. Perhaps most importantly, by creating a safe and welcoming oasis, by providing structure, and by teaching self-respect and self-worth, Pat is demonstrating to youngsters who desperately need it, the resonating message that they matter. For her dedication to these youth, Pat has been inducted into the National Cowgirl Hall of Fame and named by CNN as a Top 10 CNN Hero. In today’s episode, Pat shares how helping at-risk youth extends far beyond teaching them to ride, how the program originated and has evolved, stories of children in the program and how they’ve progressed, and the commonalities Pat has observed that the horses are particularly adept at addressing. She also shares deeply personal stories, including the unexpected kindness that led to her first connection with horses, her father’s riding experiences as the son of former slaves living on the same plantation where they were in bondage, Pat’s service as a United States Marine and how she returned to horses, and the joy – and challenges – she and her team experience every day through working with at-risk youth. She also shares the behind-the-scenes efforts that result in their innovative exhibit designs; the museum’s evolution since its inception in 1973; and their plans for the future – especially, an exciting new $5.5 million exhibit, “It’s Never Just a Horse,” that beautifully explores our relationship with horses. JAZZ IS LIFE Jazz is not a mainstream art form. Jazz musicians practice for thousands of hours honing their craft. When they improvise, it is the dance between the heart and the mind that creates the magic. A strong foundation is essential, and that is built by mental skills sharpened by diligent practice. Today’s guest is Pat LaBarbera, an internationally known jazz giant. According to Elvin Jones, “Pat has tremendous musical ability beyond technical facility. He has great power of concentration to detail and is totally committed with body and soul.” Pat LaBarbera’s life is music and what sweet music it is! Pat LaBarbera is a saxophonist, flutist, clarinetist, composer, and jazz educator. He is well-known for his solo work with the bands of Louis Bellson, Woody Herman, and the Buddy Rich Band. Pat has played on every major network television show including The Ed Sullivan Show and Johnny Carson’s Tonight Show several times. He has worked with the biggest entertainers in the business including Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Dizzy Gillespie, Ella Fitzgerald, Chick Corea, Woody Shaw, and McCoy Tyner. He has performed and recorded consistently with Elvin Jones since 1975 and rejoined Elvin Jones’ ‘Time Machine’ in 2001. His album, Deep in a Dream, won the 2000 Juno Award for Best Mainstream Jazz Album. Listen to get a peek into the life of a jazz giant. You’ll be entertained and enriched by what you discover. Here are just a few stops on the journey: How Pat’s father influenced him into pursuing music Is Jazz considered as outsiders’ music? Jazz – for listening or for dancing? Music as a form of intense personal expression Was there racial division in jazz? Gaining respect in the jazz industry Toronto-based jazz musicians Teaching music and moving the music forward Are today’s jazz students different than before? Pat’s upcoming CD QUOTES FROM THIS EPISODE “Some people really listen to music for what’s going on harmonically, if there’s a meaning or message behind it. Other people just listen with their feet.” “You basically gain respect by performance.” “Teaching music is like having tentacles that are out there searching and giving you all the latest input on what’s going on and what’s current in the music scene.” “The most beneficial thing is trying to get together with guys and play.” “The interaction with other musician is the one thing that you can’t practice in a practice room.” BOOKS IN THIS PODCAST (https://www.amazon.com/Mark-Twains-Own-Autobiography-Wisconsin/dp/0299234746) by Mark Twain (https://www.amazon.com/Raven-Edgar-Allan-Poe/dp/148257005X) by Edgar Allan Poe Stan Getz: A Life in Jazz (https://www.amazon.ca/Stan-Getz-Life-Donald-Maggin/dp/0688123155/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1533843494&sr=8-1&keywords=biography+of+stan+getz) by Donald L Maggin PAT’S FAVORITE QUOTE “Every day, in every way, I’m getting better and better.” – Émile Coué CONTACT PAT Pat LaBarBera on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/pat.labarbera) LINKS AND RESOURCES FROM THIS EPISODE Pat LaBarbera on Humber College (https://creativearts.humber.ca/faculty/pat-labarbera.html) Pat LaBarbera Biography and Discography (http://patlabarbera.jazzgiants.net/) Both Directions At Once: The Lost Album (https://www.amazon.com/Both-Directions-At-Once-Deluxe/dp/B07D51TY57) Audible (http://audibletrial.com/storypower)

In this episode I talk with Pat Flynn, and he shares what introverts can do to best serve their audiences (I’m over here raising my hand because I am closer to the introvert side of the spectrum)! Pat is a father, husband, entrepreneur and host of The Smart Passive Income podcast, which I had the honor to be on just a few short years ago when I shared how to build a community online by hosting challenges to nurture your community (I packed all that up into my course, Build Your Challenge). He also has a podcast called Asked Pat, and between his two popular shows he’s had a combined total of over 50 million downloads! Even though he has amazing numbers when it comes to his downloads and the revenue he’s been able to create, he is all about serving first and allowing the money to follow – which is what leading with love is all about. Pat Iyer has worked with experts since she first began writing and editing books in 1985, all while she excelled in her chosen profession of nursing. In addition to helping people share their knowledge, she has written or edited over 800 chapters, books, case studies, articles, and online courses. She delights in assisting people to share their expertise by writing a book, and she serves others as a development editor and ghostwriter. Pat built a service business assisting attorneys with cases involving medical issues. After growing that legal nursing consulting business for 25 years, she sold it in 2015 and now devotes her time to mentoring, writing, and editing. Finding a career path: Have you felt personal, family, or societal constraints in choosing YOUR career path? When Pat was choosing a career, back in 1969, the world was a very different place for women, and “accepted” careers were limited to just a few. Pat chose nursing, because she wanted to help people and wanted to maintain a long-lasting career. Although she adhered to those constraints, she dabbled in writing and teaching, and found in nursing a versatile career that also included other professions. TWEET: It’s easy to be so caught up in what the business needs that you’re blinded to what your family needs. @patiyer Fighting against limiting beliefs: Are you an unsuspecting victim to limiting beliefs? One example that Pat shares is the belief that an MBA is essential for running a successful business. Pat—along with many others—proves this to be untrue. Her advice is to not let yourself fall into the trap of associating only with those who share the same knowledge base that you do. Welcome new opportunities, meet new people, and never stop learning! TWEET: Once you become a #nurse, there’s no such thing as a “former nurse.” You remain a nurse in your interactions with people. @patiyer Unexpected outcomes: Do you need to change your mindset around the word failure? Pat doesn’t believe in failure, but chooses to call it an “unexpected outcome.” She shares a personal experience in which she was driven to share her knowledge with people, but found an unreceptive audience. Coach Pat Fitzgerald is well known as the head coach of the Northwestern University Wildcats football team. Taking over after the unexpected death of his predecessor at the age of 31, he was the youngest head football coach in the Big Ten Conference at the time. Coach Fitz has built the Northwestern football program into one that is about more than winning - it’s founded on the importance of character, teamwork, and the right kind of atmosphere in which students can not only win but also mature as human beings. In this conversation, we chat about Fitz’ childhood, how he was recruited to the football team at Northwestern as a student, and his coaching and team philosophy. How college recruiting has changed over the years. Back when Coach Pat Fitzgerald was recruited onto the Northwestern University football team there was no internet, no social media, and no high profile press coverage like there is today. And more importantly, there were no 3rd parties involved in the process. It was just the player, his parents, and the coaching staffs of his high school and the prospective college. With the changes in technology and the business world that have come to touch college sports, more and more pressure is being placed on future college athletes to look and play the part of a future star. Coach Fitz talks about the changes and how the Northwestern staff approaches recruiting - and it’s a lot more like the old days than what you might think. On recruiting: “The process is pretty simple… Number one: if you don’t fit who we are academically, we’re just not going to recruit you. Then number two: We have a set of values we believe in who fit who we are as a program and we try to investigate this as deep as we can. Number one is the young man’s attitude. What type of attitude does he choose to have? And that’s not a ‘some of the time’ question that’s an “all of the time.’... What kind of work ethic does he have? Is he willing to invest and understand that what I’m working for today I may not have that return on for a number of years or months? It’s not instant gratification. That’s not the way the world works. What kind of character to they demonstrate? Are they making the right choices when no one’s watching? Are they trusted by their peers and by their community?” Click here to download on iTunes. What makes Coach Pat Fitzgerald’s recruiting philosophy unique? When it comes to college recruiting every college wants to have the best players. But how you define what makes the best players makes all the difference. Coach Pat Fitzgerald and his staff are not only looking for the players with the most talent or best high school stats. They are looking for the best team players, the ones who have demonstrated humility and responsibility. They want the young men on their team who have the ability to apply themselves for the good of the team as a whole, and will be there for their brothers on and off the field. In this conversation, you can hear how Coach Fitzgerald and his staff find young men who fit that description and why it’s a non-negotiable. Football orientation that is more than learning how to play the sport. When a new student comes into the Northwestern Wildcats football program, he goes through a series of orientation classes - and they have very little to do with how to play football and fit in as part of the team. Each student is taught a series of lessons about teamwork, study skills, college success, and how to handle the newfound responsibility of being away from parents for the first time. It’s one of the expressions of Coach Pat Fitzgerald’s greater concern that his players not only succeed on the field but also succeed in life - and in his mind, college success is one of the first steps in that journey. You can hear more from Coach Fitz as he chats with me on this episode. If the culture is right, ownership flows from the locker room outward. Team culture is one of the most important aspects of any sports program. Pat Fitzgerald knows that better than most. He spends just as much time building a sense of family and ownership into his players as he does teaching the skills that make for success on the field. He believes that without the sense of community in the locker room, the team will have much less chance of advancing on the field. You can learn how coach Fitz works to create that family atmosphere, and more by listening to this candid and refreshing conversation with one of college football’s greats. Click here to download on iTunes. Outline of This Episode [0:24] My introduction of Coach Fitzgerald and this episode of Mo Motion. [2:30] Coach Fitzgerald’s background, family life growing up, and the building blocks of his life. [5:55] When Coach Fitzgerald knew sports would be more than a game for him. [10:57] How Pat was recruited for college and how it differs from today. [21:28] The kind of mistakes college players make early in their career that ruin things. In the world of online business there aren't too many people that truly stand out for all the RIGHT reasons. My guest on this episode, however, is one of those rare occurrences! In the past few years, Pat Flynn has carved out a very loyal, committed following from the general 'noise' of the internet. A following that allows him to enjoy recurring revenues in his business, amounting to $50,000 a month, upwards! He's done this through smart marketing tactics, massive amounts of online content and a philosophy that he coined that is simply known as 'Be Everywhere'. Couple this together with his overall transparency when it comes to his business in general, and you've got someone that really does stand out from the online entrepreneurial crowd. Pat is obviously a big inspiration to the blogging community. As someone that continues to pursue different angles and ways to get in front of new audiences, etc., he's surely on the right track to continued business success. The power behind this philosophy in today's market just cannot and should not be ignored. Go and do likewise, everyone - it's time to get busy! Essential Learning Points From This Episode:Why 'Being Everywhere' is so important in today's online world. How Pat has built some an amazingly loyal community of fans. Pat O’Toole is a rancher who, along with his family, owns and operates the Ladder Ranch, a large-scale cattle and sheep operation that straddles the Colorado-Wyoming border. Pat’s wife Sharon's family established the ranch in the Little Snake River Valley back in 1881, and now, six generations later, the family's hard work, thoughtful vision, and a deep respect for the land have made the Ladder Ranch a shining example of the combined effect of productive agriculture and land conservation. • Pat’s background is far outside of the norm for many multi-generational ranchers—he grew up in south Florida, majored in philosophy in college, and just before he and his wife enrolled in law school, they decided to return to her family’s land to continue in the family business of ranching. Since then, the O'Tooles have not only run a financially successful operation, but they have simultaneously improved wildlife, bird, and fish habitat throughout the ranch. By thinking outside the box and partnering with both non-profit and governmental organizations, the Ladder Ranch has set a new standard for conservation, creative problem solving, and sustainable land stewardship. • We had a fun, in-depth conversation that covered a wide variety of topics that will be of interest to anyone who loves the West, whether you’re involved in ranching or not. We discuss Pat's thoughts on cooperation between ranchers and environmentalists, and how the relationship between the two groups is getting stronger and more positive every year. We chat about water in the West, and why it is important to keep water on ranches rather than being sold off to municipalities. We also dig into Pat’s unconventional background, his thoughts on the future of land conservation, and of course, favorite books, history, and his favorite location in the West. • Pat is an interesting guy who has thought very deeply on issues related to the American West, including conservation, water, and agriculture. SAP and Enterprise Trends Podcasts from Jon Reed (@jonerp) of diginomica.com
To get an inside view of the evolution of SAP Business Intelligence, Jon tracked down senior SAP BI consultant and ProKarma SAP Solutions Director Pat Pesa. Pat has one of the most compelling takes on the potential of BI to transform the enterprise. Listen in as Jon and Pat go through the evolution of the BW product from the earliest releases to NetWeaver BI. Along the way, Pat shares the reasons that BW projects fail and the tactics needed to make them a success. Pat goes into detail regarding the skills consultants need to be successful in the SAP BI market and how they might break into BI from a range of technical backgrounds. In this forty minute look at BI consulting trends, Jon and Pat cover key topics such as: - How Pat broke into SAP and found his way into BW consulting roles. - How SAP managed to move beyond the criticism from data warehouse experts, who initially viewed BW as a "joke." How SAP made BW a quality product with a proven value to SAP customers. - Pat highlights how the work companies had to do with early releases of BW, building ETL, Extractors, and InfoCubes, has changed. Now BW is a fully-loaded product with plenty of business content. - The current applications of BI 7.0, from web reporting to faster analytical environments, from Integrated Planning to Enterprise Data Management. - Why BI was important to SAP's push to move beyond a transactional system to an "intelligent" program that allowed companies to leverage their ERP data for better reporting and decision-making. - The keys to a successful BI implementation, which include: assessing your information requirements, understanding where the data needs fall within your organization, smart use of blueprinting, and quality documentation. - Why the "siloed" BW implementation approach didn't work, and why the BI "enterprise-wide" data management approach is much more effective. - Pat's take on why most successful BW consultants come from technical backgrounds, and how functional consultants can be effective in their work dealing with the BI team. - Pat explains why he thinks the convergence of functional and technical SAP skills sets is not the ideal skill set for BI work, and why technical folks are generally better suited to BW project roles. - How data warehousing experts can fit into BW/BI projects, and the range of SAP technical skills that are applicable to BI projects. Pat also describes the kind of ABAP knowledge needed to be effective in BW. Jon gives his take on the ideal technical/functional skills mix for SAP consultants. - How the SAP ecosystem makes products like BI easier to implement than SAP projects used to be. - The impact of NetWeaver on BI, and how BI have moved beyond basic BEx reporting to web-based reporting. How Portals, iViews and SAP MDM tie together to improve the user experience in BI. - Why eSOA is an "enabling technology" that will allow SAP customers to innovate in ways that will help SAP customers to think in terms of business strategy and not in terms of their technical releases (R/3, BW, etc.) - Whether BI is effective in more diverse environments where non-SAP data is a key part of a company's data management challenge. How companies can structure their BI data integration around the SAP Financials functionality when SAP Financials serves as the system of record. - The future of information management in SAP, and why the underlying "source system" that a company's data is on will no longer be the defining factor. Pat explains why this shift allows NetWeaver to flip the "source system" approach on its head and allows business users to define their processes without worrying about which systems their data resides in. - How Pat balances his own career between practice lead functions and hands-on work, and why it's important to him to remain involved on the technical side of SAP.
