Modern medicine tells us chronic conditions require lifelong medications, but today's guest challenges this belief. Dr. Josh Axe reveals how he's spent twenty years proving that most "irreversible" conditions can actually be reversed through natural methods—inspired by watching his mother beat cancer without conventional treatments. We explore why sugar's impact varies dramatically depending on its source, how emotions physically manifest as disease in specific organs, and why Japanese elders maintain health without endless testing. From explaining practical approaches to optimising nutrition to sharing his remarkable recovery from a paralysing spinal infection, Dr. Axe offers a roadmap for anyone facing health challenges. This conversation will transform how you understand your body's capacity to heal.00:00 Dr. Josh Axe introduction01:13 The path to natural health04:39 How emotions shape physical wellbeing07:09 Breaking free from sugar addiction12:19 Why regular blood testing matters14:39 Self-awareness in health20:45 Fighting America's nutrient crisis27:03 When AI meets nutrition science35:06 The future of virtual healthcare40:29 Shopping for better health45:06 Big food's organic revolution46:20 Why pharma fears healthy eating47:51 Navigating supplement quality51:23 Understanding what "organic" really means55:14 Personalising your diet approach1:00:00 Timing nutrients for optimal health1:02:15 Reversing "impossible" health conditions1:08:31 Exploring cutting-edge therapies1:14:26 What your family history reveals1:20:50 Preventing cancer through lifestyle1:22:14 Sleep's hidden power for body composition1:27:05 Creating your perfect sleep environment1:29:43 Pre-sleep rituals for deeper rest1:31:30 Clearing mental fog naturally» Escape the 9-5 & build your dream life - https://www.digitalplaybook.net/» Transform your physique - https://www.thrstapp.com/» My clothing brand, THRST - https://thrstofficial.com» Custom Bioniq supplements: https://www.bioniq.com/mikethurston • 40% off your first month of Bioniq GO • 20% off your first month of Bioniq PRO» Join @Whoop and get your first month for free - https://join.whoop.com/mikethurston» Follow Josh«Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/drjoshaxe/?hl=enWebsite: https://draxe.com/

This authentic enthusiasm can help create loyal followers and set you apart from larger, impersonal competitors.2. Personalise based on the customer journeyDan advises tailoring email content to where customers are in their decision-making process. Use data like Google's conversion window metric to understand how long it typically takes customers to convert. Then create personalised messaging that addresses common questions and concerns at each stage of that journey.3. Keep emails focused on one key pointDan recommends giving readers "one job" per email. People tend to scan rather than read thoroughly, so focus each email on communicating a single important message or call-to-action. The Power of Personalised Reminders to Get Paid Quicker

Your Bookkeeping Matters

Play Episode Listen Later Feb 27, 2024 15:17

Are you facing late payments from clients, and getting that panicked feeling about having to chase them up? I get it - and I know so many other business owners do too. In an earlier episode, I took you through my exact process for timely payments. Today, I'm diving a little deeper to discuss the power of personalised reminders and guiding you through the process to get paid quicker. The first step in creating an effective reminder system is to turn on automated reminders in your accounting software. In this episode, we focus on Xero, but you can adapt these strategies to your own software. Once you've enabled the automated reminders, you need to determine how many reminders to send and how often. While automated email reminders are extremely effective, generic templates won't grab your clients' attention. Personalising your reminders is a much better way to get them noticed, and I share an example of my own personalised reminder to show how you can infuse your personality and tone. So, you've turned on automated reminders, and you're feeling great about it. However, this is only half the battle. Often, we forget to actually receipt the payments that come through. This can result in unnecessary reminders being sent to clients and potentially awkward situations! To avoid this, stay on top of your receipting or take advantage of integrated payment options like Pinch or Paypal. Finally, if you still haven't received a payment after two reminders, I encourage you to jump on a phone call and check in with your client or customer. Perhaps your emails never reached them, or they're facing a personal issue that has prevented them from making payment. It's likely they're more stressed about the situation than you are about calling them. So, be calm, kind, and know that the more streamlined your invoice process is, the easier it will be to get to the bottom of any payment issue you may face. LINKSPrevious episode mentioned: My Exact Process for Timely PaymentsJoin the waitlist for The Bookkeeping Matters Blueprint hereConnect with Lisa Turner:Instagram:     @accountedforyouWebsite:         https://accountedforyou.com.au/Join my Numbers List for small business news and fun, helpful tips hereGrab some FREE Resources hereCheck out my blog here

There are 7 Foundational Doctrines in Hebrews 6:2: “The FOUNDATION of (1) repentance from dead works and (2) of faith toward God, (3) of DOCTRINE, (4) of BAPTISMS, (5) of laying on of hands, (6) of resurrection of the dead, and (7) of eternal judgment.” The doctrine of DOCTRINE (the TEACHING of God's Word) refers to the Bible's teaching on the importance and centrality of the WORD of God in our lives, and therefore the necessity of receiving right teaching and having correct doctrine. God's WORD is TRUTH (John 17:17), and the mark of true disciples of Christ is that they abide in His Word by hearing and obeying it (Matthew 28:18-20). In this way we grow spiritually and experience freedom from sin (John 8:31-32, 1Tim 2:4, 1Peter 2:2). God's WORD is our SPIRITUAL FOOD, and so it is necessary for our spiritual strength and growth (Matthew 4:4): “My WORDS are SPIRIT and LIFE” (John 6:63). God's Word contains His life, Spirit and energy: “The WORD of God is LIVING and POWERFUL” (Hebrews 4:12). “ALL SCRIPTURE is given by INSPIRATION of God (literally: ‘God-breathed'), and is profitable” (2Timothy 3:16). “The WORD of God which LIVES and ABIDES FOREVER” (1Peter 1:23). “FAITH comes by hearing, and hearing by the WORD of God” (Romans 10:17). “Blessed are those who HUNGER (for God's WORD) and THIRST (for the SPIRIT of God) for righteousness (from God), for they shall be FILLED” (Matthew 5:6). God provides: “WINE that makes glad the heart of man, OIL to make his face shine (the HOLY SPIRIT), and BREAD (the WORD), which STRENGTHENS man's HEART” (Psalm 104:15). We must EAT the WORD of God: “Man shall not LIVE by BREAD alone, but by every WORD that proceeds from the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4). The process of EATING the Word is MEDITATION. This involves (1) VERBALISING it, (2) PERSONALISING it, (3) VISUALISING it, and (4) MEMORISING it. This way you will digest it, and it will become part of your soul (Joshua 1:8, Psalm 1:1-3). Hearing God's Word is the one necessary thing for your life (Luke 10:39-42). We are like PLANTS or TREES, growing from God's SEED planted within us, when we received the Gospel: “born again of incorruptible SEED through the WORD of God which lives and abides forever” (1Peter 1:23). In 1Corinthians 3:6,7, Paul said: “I PLANTED (the seed, by preaching the Gospel), Apollos WATERED (the seed, by teaching the Word), but God gave the increase (growth).” As we consistently meditate on God's Word, we receive the continual watering of the Holy Spirit, which causes us to become strong, stable and fruitful (Psalm 1). The Parable of the Sower (Matthew 13, Mark 4, Luke 8) reveals that the Kingdom of God operates through the SOWING of the SEED of the WORD of God. The SOIL represents a man's HEART. “The SEED is the WORD of God” (Luke 8:11). “The sower SOWS the WORD” into men's hearts (Mark 4:14). The Parable reveals 4 kinds of soil (heart condition), and it reveals how to become good soil that brings forth much fruit. The WORD of God has to have FIRST PLACE in your life if you want to produce good FRUIT. If you believe that God's Word contains His Power to produce good results, you should give it your BEST ATTENTION. Those who are GOOD SOIL put the WORD FIRST, by keeping on HEARING (receiving the WATER of) the WORD, giving their full ATTENTION to the WORD, and as a result they bear GOOD FRUIT, 30,60 or 100-fold, depending on the MEASURE of ATTENTION (of HEARING) that they give the WORD. Thus Jesus' main point of application that He made with a loud voice at its climax was: ““He who has EARS to HEAR (the Word), let him HEAR and KEEP on HEARING (the Word)” (Luke 8:8). Later when He gave the interpretation of the Parable, He also gave the interpretation (explanation) of His main point in Luke 8:18: “Take heed therefore HOW you HEAR (what measure of attention you give to hearing the Word). For whoever has (EARS to HEAR), to him more (blessing, fruit and growth) will be given; and whoever does not have (EARS to HEAR), from him will be taken even what he seems to have.” Likewise Matthew 13:12: “Whoever has (EARS to HEAR the Word) shall more (life, blessing, growth) be given in abundance, but whoever has not (EARS to HEAR the Word), what he has shall be taken from him (by satan).” Likewise Mark 4:24: “The MEASURE (of ATTENTION) you use (in HEARING the Word), it (blessing, fruit and growth) will be MEASURED to you, and to you who HEAR (the Word) shall MORE (fruit) be GIVEN.”

The Game Changers podcast celebrates those true pioneers in education who are building schools for tomorrow. In this third conversation of Series Twelve, we talk with Esther Hill. Esther Hill has been one of the driving forces in establishing The Studio School (TSS), an Australian first model of personalised studio learning in Fremantle, WA. Focusing on the individual student and personalising pathways, TSS offers an alternative to mainstream schooling structures and systems through a studio model that sees students combining their studies with real-world projects and engagements. In addition, Esther has continued her leadership as director of the Beyond Boundaries Institute and its advisory group. Bringing together the creative and expert minds of Australia's foremost educators and thought leaders in the advisory group brings value not only to All Saints' College but to the wider education community.  On this week's episode I repond to more questions that came in on the back of last week's episode.I mentioned diet and how to do it. I go into a bit of depth about how my approach to weightloss is different depending on the clients and their starting point. Personalising your approach to diet is the key to success, whether you want to lose weight or get healthier.I also talk a bit about the many variations of diastasis recti and why no two cases are generally the same. Are F45 classes safe to do post-partum? I had to figure out what F45 was first tbh.And "Is belly dancing a good way to train your core"?I briefly mention the MASIC foundation, who do amazing work for women who have suffered from severe perineal  injuries during birth, (OASI (Obstetric Anal Sphincter Injury)) .And "In the news this week" a study I wanted to mention last week about the rise in early onset cancers in people. (Cancer in the under 50s). A fascinating look into the rise in cancer numbers but not just because of the increase in numbers but the link between the foods we eat and the increase in cancer risk the study claims there is. Not the happiest of subjects, I'll grant you, but an important thing to understand so I'll have a look and see if the study is one to take seriously, or if it's "one of those studies". In this episode we're going to talk about the importance of customer experience and how you can improve it before, during and after the sale. Customers are more savvy than ever before and they know what they want. If you don't give them what they want, they'll go somewhere else. Adam Pearce joins Matt to explore how to give our customers an amazing experience that will keep them coming back for more. ABOUT ADAM Adam is the co-founder and CEO of Blend Commerce, the eCommerce Customer Experience Agency. Adam and his team have worked with over 200 Shopify retailers to help them provide memorable customer experiences that drive growth in revenue and profit.   Here's a summary of the great stuff that we cover in this show: Customer Experience is the overall experience that a customer has with your brand even before they click on your website till the point where you make your very final sale. So, it's not just their experience while making a purchase but before and after the purchase as well. A good Conversion Rate doesn't necessarily mean good Customer Experience. It gives a very narrow view whereas what's important is the Customer Lifetime Value. You can increase the lifetime value of a customer by avoiding gimmicks and increasing value additions by creating more touch points to understand the customer better and helping them understand you and your products better. Personalising your homepage, improving the navigations, and adding a great search feature are some effective ways to improve your customer experience. Being smart with your emails, conducting quizzes or surveys to help you understand your customer better and then offering services that's tailored to their specific needs or interests goes a long way in ensuring customer loyalty and lifetime value. Enjoying listening to our conversation about customer experience :-)For complete show notes, transcript and links to our guest, check out our website: https://my.captivate.fm/www.ecommerce-podcast.com (www.ecommerce-podcast.com).
