After his niece Georgianna Lovering went missing on September 24th, 1872, Franklin Evans became a suspect due to his strange behavior. He eventually confessed to the brutal murder of Georgianna as well as a another murder from 1856. He was suspected in more and was executed at the New Hampshire State Prison for Men in 1874.
