BIG BREAKDOWN - What You Need To Know About The Delphi Murder Cover-Up! The Delphi case is one of the most high-profile murder investigations of the last decade — but the deeper you look, the more the cracks show. In this episode, we cut through the noise and give you the essential facts about the alleged cover-up that's left an innocent man, Richard Allen, in prison. We'll walk you through the most glaring red flags: ignored leads pointing to other suspects, mishandled evidence that could have changed the trial, witness testimony that never made it to court, and the unexplained disappearance of key investigative files. We'll also discuss why law enforcement and prosecutors might have had an interest in pushing Allen's case forward despite these issues — from political optics to pressure from the public to “solve” the crime. If you've ever wondered how wrongful convictions happen in America, this is a textbook example. It's not about one bad actor; it's about an entire system that prioritizes convictions over truth. By the end of this episode, you'll understand why so many are demanding a re-investigation — and why justice for Abby and Libby may still be out of reach. #DelphiMurders #CoverUp #RichardAllen #TrueCrime #AbbyAndLibby #JusticeForAbbyAndLibby #IndianaCrime #TrueCrimeCommunity #ColdCase Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Goodfellow, capo, killer, thief. A man so diabolically evil that he ordered his eldest son to murder his closest associate, and his youngest son to murder his best friend. When Greg Scarpa was in his early twenties, he became a goodfellow in the Profaci family by swearing a blood oath to the Mafia, at the time the country's largest organized-crime syndicate. And for 25 years, he betrayed that oath and the men closest to him by acting as a paid informant for the FBI. He fed America's premier law enforcement agency a steady stream of self-serving information accusing the men who trusted him with their lives of every crime he was himself committing. During those 25 years of treachery, Scarpa was a one-man crime wave who spent only 30 days behind bars thanks to his status as the FBI's ultimate Mafia insider. His standing as a prized informant freed him to engage in mayhem and murder knowing he had a virtual license to kill with reckless abandon. Greg Scarpa, Legendary Evil is a deep dive that provides fresh insight into Scarpa's malignant personality. Dyer peels back the layers of myth and misdirection to paint as complete and accurate a picture as possible of a man who murdered his enemies and betrayed his friends, of a bigamist who loved only money, of a feared and reviled man whose destructive appetites knew no bounds.https://amzn.to/4micvouBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-opperman-report--1198501/support.

Donald Trump's attack on Harvard has gotten a lot of headlines, but his skirmish with the University of Virginia has become a major political battleground between two possible presidential rivals, J. D. Vance and Virginia governor Glenn Youngkin. Greg Easley takes us inside his reporting. Then, speaking of politics, did you know that Gen Z has recast former president George W. Bush as America's most lovable grandfather? It's a trend that's been dubbed “Bushcore,” and Carolina de Armas and Paulina Prosnitz break it down. In the late 18th century, the newly independent United States of America faced its first major domestic crisis. Settlers in its westernmost regions rose up in open armed rebellion against the government. The cause of the rebellion had to do with taxes, which was the very thing that the American Revolution was about in the first place. The rebellion was seen by some as a threat to the very existence of the new country. 01:02:26 – Nixon Ends the Gold Standard: A Controlled Demolition of the DollarMarking the anniversary of August 15, 1971, the host recounts how Nixon severed the dollar's tie to gold, ending the Bretton Woods system. He details the lead-up, including the removal of silver from U.S. coinage, France's gold repatriation under De Gaulle, and the resulting shift from a stable bi-metallic economy to a fiat system fueling inflation, de-industrialization, and wealth transfer. 01:17:13 – De-Industrialization, Debt Expansion, and the Rise of Crony CapitalismExplains how taking the dollar off gold dovetailed with free trade policies and the 1973 formation of the Trilateral Commission. America's manufacturing base was hollowed out, trade surpluses ended, and debt skyrocketed from $371 billion in 1971 to $37 trillion today. The conversation ties this to corporate consolidation, zombie companies kept alive by central bank policy, and a rigged system benefiting elites. 01:22:33 – The Petrodollar's Decline and Global De-DollarizationReviews the 1970s Kissinger-brokered petrodollar agreement with Saudi Arabia, its quiet disappearance last year, and the shift toward multi-currency oil sales. Discusses BRICS expansion, the ruble's rebound after being gold-linked in 2022, and the dollar's shrinking share of global trade from 53% to the low 40s. Notes that central banks are hoarding gold over their own currencies. 01:44:06 – National Security State Origins and the Truman LegacyReads and comments on a Lou Rockwell article tracing the 1947 creation of the CIA, NSA, and the modern national security state. Argues that Truman's policies institutionalized interventionism, subverted the republic's founding principles, and laid the groundwork for perpetual war and surveillance. Links these shifts to Israel's 1948 recognition, Cold War militarization, and the influx of Nazi scientists under Operation Paperclip. 01:52:06 – The 80-Year Cycle, Operation Paperclip, and Cultural TransformationReflects on how the summer of 1947 reshaped U.S. governance through security agencies, covert power structures, and foreign entanglements. Notes the cultural influence of imported Nazi scientists, with Wernher von Braun as a public face, and draws connections to Cold War propaganda and the militarization of space. 02:00:58 – JFK's Secret Societies SpeechReading and analysis of JFK's 1961 warning about “secret societies” and “monolithic conspiracies,” framing it as timeless advice against government secrecy and press complicity. 02:07:44 – Operation Paperclip & Nazi InfluenceReview of how former Nazi scientists were integrated into U.S. programs after WWII, influencing aerospace, weapons development, and Cold War strategy, with Wernher von Braun as a central figure. 02:15:39 – CIA & MKUltra OriginsExposes early CIA abuses, including the MKUltra mind-control program, as part of a broader national security state agenda to manipulate populations and undermine dissent. 02:47:09 – Trump, Tariffs, and Trade RisksCritiques Trump's tariff strategy as potentially damaging to consumers and allies, warning it could backfire by pushing more nations toward BRICS-style trade blocs. 03:07:17 – NASA Moon Base Plans & Apollo SkepticismNASA's push for a 100-kilowatt lunar reactor sparks analysis of the Artemis program, U.S.–China competition, and a deeper dive into why America hasn't returned to the moon in decades, despite having done so multiple times in the past. 03:33:56 – Space Race & Global Power ShiftReflection on how space exploration intersects with geopolitical changeovers, comparing today's “fourth turning” to post-WWII institution building, and speculating on the existence of a secret space program. 03:45:54 – Red Heifer Prophecy & Third TempleMr. Anderson connects current events in Israel to biblical prophecy, questioning modern evangelical support for temple reconstruction and warning about theological and political implications. 03:50:56 – Decline of Religious ActivismCritique of modern Christian leadership for failing to visibly oppose cultural trends such as the transgender movement, contrasting this with past Catholic and evangelical activism. 03:58:52 – Gold Standard Anniversary & Fiat Currency WarningMarking the anniversary of Nixon taking the U.S. off the gold standard, the host warns about the destructive effects of fiat currency and urges listeners to consider precious metals. Mary welcomes back Usama Dakdok to lay a firm foundation on who exactly owns that contested piece of land called "Israel". Usama was born in Egypt and grew up in a Christian home. While in government schools in Egypt, he learned about Islam just as every other student does in a Muslim country. Usama also studied for a university degree in Egypt which included the study of Sharia, Islamic law. He first came to America in 1992. With all of his knowledge about Islam, he felt he could reach out to Muslim people in America with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Thus he began The Straight Way of Grace Ministry. Today we ask ourselves, how did the world come to swallow the narrative of a land called Palestine and Palestinian people? Is it largely to erase Israel's claim to the land? It seems to be the Lie of the Century, when it comes to Bible prophecy at least. And all that antisemitism today? That's about that piece of land too. God's Word ties their redemption to that piece of real estate, so of course, it IS about that. Always educational with Usama. Yesterday Gavin Newsom, the Governor of California, the state with the highest poverty rate in the nation, held a political rally to announce his resistance to the pro-America policies of President Donald J. Trump—and Trump responded with exactly the kind of pro-America smash-mouth politics that I—and I expect YOU—voted for a million times over!Even as Newsom, the California governor of an illegal migrant third-world invader sanctuary state, and Karen Bass, the Los Angeles mayor of an illegal migrant third-world invader sanctuary city, were seeking to rally their supporters inside, Immigration and Customs Enforcement were present OUTSIDE and IN FORCE, making arrests of any illegal migrant third-world invaders that popped up on their radar screen. Next stop for those arrested? HOME! Whether that be Mexico, Guatemala, Venezuela, Haiti, or if home won't take them perhaps Djibouti or the tropical prison resort of CECOT in El Salvador! Masha Gessen and Jason Stanley are two leading experts on autocracy, and they're sounding the alarm. They and their families have escaped totalitarian regimes and oppressive governments; today Gessen and Stanley are pulling back the curtain on the attacks against DEI, trans bodies, civil rights, higher education and more. Is authoritarianism here? Masha Gessen is an acclaimed Russian-American journalist, a Polk Award winning opinion writer for the New York Times and the author of "Surviving Autocracy" and “The Future is History: How Totalitarianism Reclaimed Russia.” Forced to leave Russia twice, in 2024, a Moscow court convicted them, in absentia to eight years in prison for their reporting on the war in Ukraine. Jason Stanley is a best-selling author and professor whose books include “Erasing History” and "How Fascism Works". He recently left his teaching position at Yale University to relocate to Canada with his family; noting that he is a child of Jewish refugees who fled Nazi Germany. In this historic conversation — the first interview between Gessen and Stanley — the two explore how to be bold in our movements and envision a multi-ethnic democracy. Plus, a commentary from Laura.“What I see now is this regime shifting the self understanding of America, from having these democratic ideals . . . God knows they've been imperfect, to a self identity as loving the United States because we've had these great men in our past, and we've conquered the West, and we can punch you in the nose. And that's not a democratic project. That's like what Putin is doing in Russia.” - Jason StanleyGuests:• Masha Gessen: Opinion Columnist, The New York Times; Author, Surviving Autocracy; Distinguished Professor, Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism, CUNY• Jason Stanley: Author, Erasing History & How Fascism Works; Professor, Munk School of Global Affairs, University of Toronto Watch the special report released on YouTube; PBS World Channel August 15th, and on over 300 public stations across the country (check your listings, or search here via zipcode). America's edge in artificial intelligence may rest on one decision now facing Washington: whether to keep our most advanced chips out of Beijing's hands. President Trump has moved to lift the export ban on Nvidia's H20 processors—a move some warn could supercharge China's AI ambitions and military power—arming the Chinese Communist Party for dominance in the AI age. Cliff May and Matt Pottinger pull back the curtain on the high-stakes race, the players vying for advantage, and what's really at risk if America loses its lead.
California's Democratic Governor, Gavin Newsom, is standing up to Trump with his Election Rigging Response Act. It's an effort to counter Texas, which at Trump's demand, drew up new congressional districts where voters would likely elect Republican representatives. The new Texas maps could also mean incumbent Democratic representatives could face each other in some districts. It's an effort to keep the House under GOP control in the 2026 midterm elections. Governor Newsom is asking California voters to allow redrawn maps in to keep Republicans from unethically stealing Democratic seats. Newsom wants state lawmakers to allow a November ballot measure where voters would weigh in on his plan to temporarily change districts. We'll talk redistricting and politics with Philip Bump. He is known for his work as a national columnist for The Washington Post and his coverage of politics for The Atlantic Wire. Bump's book “The Aftermath: The Last Days of the Baby Boom and the Future of Power in America” looks at the upheaval in American politics and the U.S. economy. Find him at pbump.com Our segment “This Week in Politics” brings former ABC White House correspondent Jim Avila to the show to talk about current events. We'll sprinkle in some Friday Fabulous Florida and add a dash of Culture Blaster Michael Snyder with movie and streaming reviews and it's a perfect Friday.
Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times journalist John Branch joins Michael to discuss the fascinating history and fragile geology of Mount Rushmore, and why adding a fifth face—like Donald Trump's—is more complicated than it sounds. From the original sculptor's vision to political dreams and structural realities, this episode dives deep into one of America's most iconic monuments—and the controversy swirling around it.

Norm Hitzges sits down with longtime Cowboys radio voice (and former NFL quarterback) Babe Laufenberg to talk about where America's Team really stands heading into the season—and yes, it's a little more complicated than the hype would have you believe. From the uphill climb in the NFC East to an offensive line that might just be the key to the whole season, Babe breaks it down with his trademark candor. The two dig into the Micah Parsons contract standoff (and even toy with the possibility of a trade), swap war stories about leadership, and rewind to Babe's own days under center—complete with a Troy Aikman coin-flip “competition” for the starting job. It's football analysis served with sharp insight, a few laughs, and a leaf-blower anecdote you didn't know you needed. Brought to you by Fluent Financial — Retire earlier. President Trump touched down in Alaska for a landmark summit to discuss peace in Ukraine with Vladimir Putin. President Trump has expressed his goal is to broker an immediate ceasefire and that further discussions of possible division of territory will be held after the ceasefire is agreed to. Many Russian businessmen have tagged along, hoping to get back in some sort of good standing on the world stage which is detrimental to Russia's economy. Washington D.C.'s Mayor decided it was a good time to take a little trip to Martha's Vineyard as her city is under federal control. U.S. Attorney General quickly fired a DOJ employee who threw a hoagie at a federal agent while yelling and screaming calling them "fascist." Chief Pollster of the Trafalgar Group Robert Cahaly is here to unpack sentiment in the country now that President Trump has been in office nearly 8 months. Americans are just starting to feel the effect in their everyday lives as prices at the pump are down and the stock market is high. The alphabet polling have become so bad and misleading in their blatant attempt to affect elections and their outcomes. The Trafalgar Group is teaming up with other accurate and honest pollsters to create a trustworthy source the reflects voters and their feelings, not polling trying to affect an outcome. Cahaly thinks MAHA and its message of making us healthy again is the perfect tool to receive support from swing voters. As we approach midterms, Cahaly has a message for the Trump administration on how they can convey how much money every American can look forward to with President Trump's tax cuts. Jeffrey Epstein's work release arrangement in 2008 was nothing short of a grotesque parody of justice. Framed as a “punishment,” it allowed a convicted sex offender—who had pleaded guilty to procuring a minor for prostitution—to spend most of his sentence in a cushy office, meeting associates and visitors with minimal supervision. He wasn't rotting in a cell; he was running his business empire from a desk while taxpayers funded the illusion of incarceration. The so-called restrictions were a joke, tailor-made to preserve his lifestyle while giving law enforcement and prosecutors political cover. This wasn't a lapse in judgment—it was a deliberate collaboration between Epstein's legal team, pliable officials, and a justice system that treats the wealthy as untouchable. The arrangement effectively told survivors their pain was worth nothing and told predators with enough money that the law could be bent into a concierge service. Every minute Epstein spent outside that cell was proof that accountability in America is conditional, negotiated, and available for purchase if your Rolodex is deep enough. Calling it “work release” was an insult to language—it was privilege disguised as punishment.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:https://lawandcrime.com/high-profile/former-epstein-work-release-guard-destroyed-pbso-records-are-the-smoking-gun/source:https://cbs12.com/news/local/pbso-disputes-claim-that-jeffrey-epstein-had-sex-on-work-release
In this episode of Crazy Wisdom, Stewart Alsop talks with Paul Spencer about the intersection of AI and astrology, the balance of fate and free will, and how embodiment shapes human experience in time and space. They explore cultural shifts since 2020, the fading influence of institutions, the “patchwork age” of decentralized communities, and the contrasts between solar punk and cyberpunk visions for the future. Paul shares his perspective on America's evolving role, the symbolism of the Aquarian Age, and why philosophical, creative, and practical adaptability will be essential in the years ahead. You can connect with Paul and explore more of his work and writings at zeitvillemedia.substack.com, or find him as @ZeitvilleMedia on Twitter and You Tube.Check out this GPT we trained on the conversationTimestamps00:00 Stewart Alsop and Paul Spencer open with a discussion on AI and astrology, exploring fate versus free will and how human embodiment shapes the way we move through time and space.05:00 Paul contrasts the human timeline, marked by death, with AI's lack of finality, bringing in Brian Johnson's transhumanism and the need for biological embodiment for true AI utility.10:00 They explore how labor, trade, food, and procreation anchor human life, connecting these to the philosophical experience of space and time.15:00 Nietzsche and Bergson's ideas on life force, music, and tactile philosophy are discussed as alternatives to detached Enlightenment thinking.20:00 The conversation shifts to social media's manipulation, institutional decay after 2020, and the absence of an “all clear” moment.25:00 They reflect on the chaotic zeitgeist, nostalgia for 2021's openness, and people faking cultural cohesion.30:00 Paul uses Seinfeld as an example of shared codes, contrasting it with post-woke irony and drifting expectations.35:00 Pluto in Aquarius and astrological energies frame a shift from heaviness to a delirious cultural mood.40:00 Emotional UBI and the risks of avoiding emotional work lead into thoughts on America's patchwork future.45:00 They explore homesteading, raw milk as a cultural symbol, and the tension between consumerism and alternative visions like solar punk and cyberpunk.50:00 Paul highlights the need for cross-tribal diplomacy, the reality of the surveillance state, and the Aquarian Age's promise of decentralized solutions.Key InsightsPaul Spencer frames astrology as a way to understand the interplay of fate and free will within the embodied human experience, emphasizing that humans are unique in their awareness of time and mortality, which gives life story and meaning. He argues that AI, while useful for shifting perspectives, lacks “skin in the game” because it has no embodiment or death, and therefore cannot fully grasp or participate in the human condition unless integrated into biological or cybernetic systems. The conversation contrasts human perception of space and time, drawing from philosophers like Nietzsche and Bergson who sought to return philosophy to the body through music, dance, and tactile experiences, challenging abstract, purely cerebral approaches.Post-2020 culture is described as a “patchwork age” without a cohesive zeitgeist, where people often “fake it” through thin veneers of social codes. This shift, combined with Pluto's move into Aquarius, has replaced the heaviness of previous years with a chaotic, often giddy nihilism.America is seen as the primary arena for the patchwork age due to its pioneering, experimental spirit, with regional entrepreneurship and cultural biodiversity offering potential for renewal, even as nostalgia for past unity and imperial confidence lingers.Tensions between “solar punk” and “cyberpunk” visions highlight the need for cross-tribal diplomacy—connecting environmentalist, primitivist, and high-tech decentralist communities—because no single approach will be sufficient to navigate accelerating change. The Aquarian Age, following the Piscean Age in the procession of the equinoxes, signals a movement from centralized, hypnotic mass programming toward decentralized, engineering-focused solutions, where individuals must focus on building beauty and resilience in their own worlds rather than being consumed by “they” narratives.
