Snowed in, chili on the stove, and toxic romance on the screen. This week on the Binge-Watchers Podcast, Johnny Spoiler dives headfirst into Romeo Is Bleeding (1993), the sleazy neo-noir crime thriller starring Gary Oldman, Lena Olin, and Roy Scheider—a movie where everyone betrays everyone and nobody gets out clean. Before the blood hits the subway tiles, Johnny rants about hating snow, surviving real-life blizzards, bikini porch dives, and why small victories matter when winter tries to kill you. Then it's Home Video Headlines, including Dragon Ball Super news, DCU Batman rumors, a possible Darkman sequel, and three essential dead-of-winter thrillers: Wind Chill, The Last Winter, and Dead of Winter. The main event breaks down Romeo Is Bleeding—a corrupt NYC cop seduced by a ruthless Moscow crime boss—with behind-the-scenes facts, Tom Waits trivia, brutal mob moments, courtroom chaos, and why Lena Olin's Mona feels like a loaded gun aimed at the audience for the entire runtime. We talk broken ribs, real stunts, moral emptiness, and why this movie insists that redemption is a lie life doesn't care about.Johnny wraps it up with favorite bits, a Binge Later rating, unfiltered He-Man discourse, staff picks (Code 3, not The Smashing Machine), and a closing that legally has to reference Closing Time.If you love neo-noir thrillers, Gary Oldman performances, toxic romance movies, mob betrayals, and dark 90s crime films that feel like they hate you personally—this episode is for you.Get Meatzy https://tr.ee/GetMeatzyJohnnyDrink Olipop use code BWPOD https://tr.ee/PopJohnny

2026 is set to be a legendary year for Dragon Ball, as several major announcements will be revealed for the first time at the official Dragon Ball Genkidamatsuri event in late January. However, an announcement fans have long been waiting for may already have been leaked, based on recent comments from someone close to the series.Kazuhiko Torishima, a former Shonen Jump Editor-in-Chief who worked closely with the late Akira Toriyama as editor for the Dragon Ball manga, commented on a new Dragon Ball movie -- specifically, a new Dragon Ball Super movie that's been heavily rumored for some time now.Of course, with Torishima's infamous reputation for being blunt, he didn't express much excitement about the rumored film during a livestream. "With how bad things are, we can't expect much from next year's Dragon Ball movie either, don't you think?" he said on his podcast series, KosoKoso.Support The Podcast!https://creators.spotify.com/pod/show/roose366/subscribeFollow For More Content &Streams!Science Podcast: https://open.spotify.com/show/5nFXe9dPeWrMpyObyAlrnF?si=7358d1cf32cb45b7Youtube Gaming: https://www.youtube.com/@RooseJp/videosTiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@podcastonanime
2026 will be a fantastic year for Dragon Ball. The upcoming Dragon Ball Genkidamatsuri event is teasing a massive update to Akira Toriyama's legendary franchise.Across social media, photos of the latest issue of Weekly Shonen Jump show a gigantic advertisement for Dragon Ball Genkidamatsuri. The highly anticipated event will take place in Japan on Jan. 25, 2026, and will reveal several important announcements and updates about all things Dragon Ball (anime, games, trading cards, etc). The heavy marketing of Dragon Ball Genkidamatsuri across all major Jump-branded magazines is indicating a major announcement for the franchise -- one that fans are hoping will be the return of the Dragon Ball Super anime.Support The Podcast!https://creators.spotify.com/pod/show/roose366/subscribeFollow For More Content &Streams!Science Podcast: https://open.spotify.com/show/5nFXe9dPeWrMpyObyAlrnF?si=7358d1cf32cb45b7Youtube Gaming: https://www.youtube.com/@RooseJp/videosTiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@podcastonanime

While 2025 wasn't the worst year to be a Dragon Ball fan, mainly thanks to Dragon Ball DAIMA, it has been a rough one for fans of the Dragon Ball Super manga. Continuing its extended hiatus, which began in 2024 following the passing of Akira Toriyama, only a single new chapter of the manga released in 2025. Now, with the year close to ending, and there still being no sight of Dragon Ball Super Chapter 105, it's clear that major changes are happening. With the end of 2025 comes the end of an era for Dragon Ball Super, and the beginning of a new one. 2024 will go down in history as the final year that new Dragon Ball anime episodes and manga chapters at least partially written by Akira Toriyama were released. When the Dragon Ball Super manga eventually returns, most likely with the long-awaited Black Frieza Saga, it will be the beginning of a new era, one where the future of the most famous Shonen series of all time will solely be guided by Toyotarou.Support The Podcast!https://creators.spotify.com/pod/show/roose366/subscribeFollow For More Content &Streams!Science Podcast: https://open.spotify.com/show/5nFXe9dPeWrMpyObyAlrnF?si=7358d1cf32cb45b7Youtube Gaming: https://www.youtube.com/@RooseJp/videosTiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@podcastonanime

In THIS episode of Who Would Win: UNLEASHED, it's the ultimate collision of comic-book carnage and anime power levels pushed beyond their limits—as the unbreakable Invincible (unleashed by Eric Holmes) goes head-to-head with Earth's mightiest Saiyan prodigy, Gohan (championed by James Gavsie)! On one side: Mark Grayson. Invincible. The Viltrumite warrior forged in blood, betrayal, and a brutal code of conquest. He's survived world-shattering brawls, alien invasions, and an upbringing under Omni-Man himself. With near-limitless strength, insane durability, and a refusal to ever stay down, Invincible isn't just strong—he's relentless. Every punch he throws can level cities, every fight is a masterclass in sheer, unfiltered violence. When Invincible goes all out, planets tremble. But facing him? A warrior who has eclipsed legends. Son of Goku, the ultimate hybrid of Saiyan power and human compassion—Gohan. From vaporizing Cell with a single Kamehameha to trading blows with gods in Dragon Ball Super, Gohan's potential is the stuff of myth. When he unleashes his hidden power, it's not just Super Saiyan—it's beast mode incarnate. His speed defies physics. His energy attacks can shatter dimensions. And his fighting instincts were trained by Piccolo, Goku, and the fires of endless battle. This isn't just a fight. It's Viltrumite rage vs. Saiyan destiny. Alien physiology vs. perfected martial arts and ki mastery. A clash of two young champions burdened with the legacies of their fathers, fighting to prove they're not just heirs—they're better. Will Invincible's unmatched durability, vicious combat instincts, and Viltrumite heritage crush even the power of the Saiyan? Or will Gohan's limitless potential, strategic genius, and cosmic-level ki turn the battlefield into Invincible's graveyard?Join hosts James Gavsie and Eric Holmes as they go full power level OVER 9000 breaking down Viltrumite biology, Saiyan transformations, cosmic brawls, and every iconic moment these two warriors have ever delivered. Will Invincible prove that raw brutality always wins? Or will Gohan unleash his ultimate form and show that training, heritage, and pure heart can conquer anything?Strap in—this is Who Would Win: UNLEASHED at its most epic. Today Dotodoya and Nanogenix discuss the return of Dragon Ball Super and the slow death of physical media in Ki Moments Episode 84!
For this Film Episode we take a look at the last of the Dragon Ball Super Movies so far. Here is a movie that does some very different things for a DBZ movie. This is a movie that makes Gohan and Piccolo the main characters instead of Goku and Vegeta. This was a fun project to look at these four films which started as a tribute to Akira Toriyama reopened my heart to how much i love the world he created. Come hear what we thought of this Film.
