In this episode of John Solomon Reports, host John Solomon dives deep into the troubling world of nonprofit charities that have strayed from their intended purpose. He explores how these organizations, which benefit from tax exemptions, are increasingly engaging in harmful activities that undermine American values. From consorting with adversaries like China and Cuba to inciting violence and unrest, Solomon reveals the alarming trends that demand accountability and reform.Joining Solomon is Senator Ron Johnson, a key figure in the fight against these corrupt practices, who shares his insights on the need for a reckoning that includes revoking tax exemptions and seizing assets from those who harm the nation. The episode also features Congressman Michael Guest, chairman of the House Ethics Committee, who weighs in on the legislative measures needed to address these issues. In the latter part of the show, Solomon shifts focus to national security, discussing the implications of a historic deal between Iran and Israel, brokered by the United States. He highlights the unexpected pressures facing Russia and the broader geopolitical landscape, with insights from Fred Fleitz, former Chief of Staff to the National Security Council.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

SCHEDULE JBS, 6-25-26.JUNE 1957The Fog of Diplomacy in the Strait of Hormuz. Guest: Colonel Jeff McCausland. McCausland discusses a memorandum of understanding with Iran regarding the Strait of Hormuz and nuclear weapons. He notes the Iranian requirement for reconstruction aid and the release of frozen assets. He also touches on the IDF's continued presence in Lebanon, Syria, and Gaza despite regional negotiations. 1The Evolving Robotic Battlefield in Ukraine. Guest: Colonel Jeff McCausland. McCausland explains how drones have transformed the war in Ukraine, effectively cutting off Russian supply lines to Crimea. He discusses the massive casualty rates caused by drones and Ukraine's plan to deploy thousands of ground robots. Meanwhile, Russia faces severe manpower shortages and high casualty counts. 2Structural Fatigue and Leaks on the ISS Zvezda Module. Guest: Anatoly Zak. Zak details the critical role of the Zvezda module, which provides propulsion and life support for the International Space Station. He addresses growing concerns over air leaks and cracks in a transfer compartment. While currently manageable, the cracks reappear despite repeated sealing attempts. 3Almaz: The Secret Soviet Spy Station in Space. Guest: Anatoly Zak. Zak describes the top-secret Almaz program, military space stations camouflaged under the "Salyut" name for reconnaissance. These "spy satellites with men" took high-resolution photos of NATO bases. The program was eventually discontinued because robotic satellites proved more effective and less taxing on human crews. 4Emily Brontë's Dark Inspiration from the Family Vault. Guest: Deborah Lutz. Lutz examines the profound impact of Emily Brontë's mother's death and the construction of the family burial vault beneath the church floor. She argues this underground space fueled Emily's literary obsession with dungeons and graves. Lutz also defends Patrick Brontë against historical claims of severity. 5The Influence of Aunt Branwell and Early Tragedy. Guest: Deborah Lutz. Lutz highlights Aunt Elizabeth Branwell's sacrifice in moving to Haworth to raise the Brontë children, introducing them to cosmopolitan stories. The segment also details the tragic deaths of the eldest sisters, Maria and Elizabeth, from tuberculosis after a harrowing experience at a poorly managed boarding school. 6Imaginary Empires and the Fierce Loyalty of Keeper. Guest: Deborah Lutz. Lutz describes the miniature books the Brontë children created to document their imaginary worlds, Angria and Gondal. The discussion shifts to Emily's domestic life in Haworth, where she balanced household chores with writing. Lutz also recounts Emily's intense bond with her massive, formidable mastiff-mix dog, Keeper. 7Brussels, Poetry, and the Birth of a Unique Voice. Guest: Deborah Lutz. Lutz discusses Charlotte and Emily's education in Brussels, where Emily honed her concise writing style and piano skills. Following their aunt's death, the sisters returned to Haworth and used their inheritance to focus on writing. They compiled their poetry into a volume under male pseudonyms. 8The Bell Brothers and the Collaborative Creation of Novels. Guest: Deborah Lutz. Lutz explains how the sisters published their poetry under the pseudonyms Currer, Ellis, and Acton Bell to avoid gender bias. Despite selling only two copies, they immediately began collaborating on their first novels. Lutz also explores the troubled life of their brother, Branwell. 9The Reclusive Genius of Emily Brontë. Guest: Deborah Lutz. Lutz describes Emily Brontë's writing habits in her small bedroom overlooking a graveyard. Despite her reclusive nature and strong-minded personality, she lived a life filled with "joy and contentment" while crafting Wuthering Heights. Lutz notes that her sisters initially found the dark, violent novel strange. 10The Experimental Haunting of Wuthering Heights. Guest: Deborah Lutz. Lutz explores the Gothic structure and experimental narrative frames of Wuthering Heights. She suggests Heathcliff is an extension of Emily's own fierce imagination. The segment concludes with the tragic deaths of Branwell, Emily, and Anne from tuberculosis, leaving Patrick as the family's sole survivor. 11The Enduring Legacy of the Brontës in Haworth. Guest: Deborah Lutz. Lutz reflects on the Brontës' lasting cultural impact and Haworth's transformation into a major tourist destination. She discusses the critical backlash the novel initially faced for its violence. Despite the tragedy surrounding their lives, the Brontës remain buried beneath the church they once inhabited. 12The FBI, Money Laundering, and the Russian Mob. Guest: Craig Unger. Unger interviews whistleblower Jonathan Buma, a former FBI agent, regarding investigations into Donald Trump's ties to Russian intelligence. He claims Trump Tower served as a "laundromat" for the Russian mafia to clean illicit funds through luxury real estate. Unger questions why the FBI failed to act. 13Political Interference and FBI Counter-Intelligence Failures. Guest: Craig Unger. Unger discusses how investigations into the 2020 election and Rudy Giuliani were allegedly stymied. He notes that Giuliani received payments from Russian oligarchs, potentially compromising the Trump campaign. Unger and Buma explore why major intelligence agencies and the Department of Justice have not pursued these leads. 14The Chronic Failures of the Cuban Regime. Guest: Mary Anastasia O'Grady. O'Grady analyzes Cuba's ongoing economic misery and electricity crises, which the government blames on the U.S. embargo. She references the failed 10-million-ton sugar harvest of 1970 as a symbol of the state's incompetence. The regime maintains power through bitter repression and control over food resources. 15The Distortions of Global Wealth Taxes. Guest: Veronique de Rugy. De Rugy discusses how the UK's tax system discourages international athletes from competing at Wimbledon by taxing their worldwide endorsements. She argues that oppressive global tax schemes, such as California's proposed billionaire tax, often result in reduced economic activity and lower wage growth for middle-class workers. 16One correction folded in: the guest is Mary Anastasia O'Grady (not "Anastasio") in file 15.

Between 1943 and 1954, he published just ten stories, four of them co-written with Henry Hasse. dePina passed away in 1956 at the age of 55, less than two years after the publication of his final story. DOCKET ALERTS: The administration says it's going to prosecute anyone who touches the algae-ridden Reflecting Pool at the Lincoln Memorial. So far, that seems to be more bluster than reality.   Sadly, what isn't bluster is that Judges Reed O'Connor and Mark Pittman in Texas are handing down extraordinarily long punitive sentences for Antifa protestors to "send a message" not to criticize the government.   DOOFUS OF THE DAY: Postmaster General David Steiner, who tried to pass off voter suppression efforts to not distribute ballots as just "best practices" for the USPS. Fortunately, Judge Indira Talwani in Massachusetts permanently enjoined that part of Trump's plan to steal the midterms and ordered declared Trump's executive order unconstitutional and void.   MAIN SHOW: It was a rough week at the Supreme Court, with SEVEN decisions all reaching extreme right-wing outcomes, all by the exact same 6-3 margin, and using contradictory legal "reasoning" to get there. The Knicks just won the NBA Finals — and José Alvarado led the Puerto Rican Day Parade the next morning. But while New York was celebrating, something else was quietly happening in the Caribbean: a US carrier strike group just parked itself 90 miles from Havana. Henry and Danny — with help from AI guest Tio Raul — break down the full arc of America's 125-year obsession with Cuba. From the first concentration camps in history, to the mob-run casino island Batista built for American business, to Fidel's guerrilla campaign on a 10-person yacht with 81 men aboard, to the Cuban tank crews that went and fought Israel on a mountain in Syria — this island punches so far above its weight it's almost unbelievable. They also get into why Cuba deployed nearly half a million troops to Angola over 16 years, how that campaign helped end apartheid in South Africa (and what Nelson Mandela himself said about it), and how Aroldis Chapman — the hardest thrower in baseball history — had to buy his freedom from a cartel for $30 million just to pitch in the majors. And then there's Marco Rubio, whose family left Cuba under Batista — not Castro — now sitting as Secretary of State with a carrier fleet and a personal vendetta shaping US foreign policy in real time. Someone just dropped $57,000 on a prediction market betting it all goes hot before the end of 2026. Tio Raul is powered by Maneku — the AI built for real conversations. It's Thursday, June 25th, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark and Adam McManus Cuban Communists keep sick Protestant pastor imprisoned Christian Solidarity Worldwide reports a Protestant pastor remains in prison in Cuba amid concerns for his health. Pastor Alexis Padrón Lorenzo leads the Communion in Faith Church in Havana. Authorities detained him on June 10, physically abused him during interrogation, and blocked family members from contacting him. This happened after Lorenzo expressed opposition to the country's communist system.  Please pray for our persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ in Cuba. The country is ranked 24th on the Open Doors World Watch List of the most oppressive countries worldwide for Christians. Write a polite, 2-sentence note of objection to Cuba's top diplomat: Lianys Torres Rivera, Cuban Consulate, 2639 16th Street NW, Washington DC, 20009. Rubio urges new Columbian president to end illegal immigration to U.S. As The Worldview reported on June 23rd, the citizens of the South American country of Colombia narrowly elected conservative Abelardo De La Espriella, who was Trump-endorsed, over left-wing candidate Iván Cepeda.  De La Espriella promised a crackdown on crime.  g the election, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio posted, “The Trump Administration looks forward to working closely with your incoming administration to advance regional security cooperation, end illegal immigration to the United States, and strengthen our economic ties.” Daniel 2:21 reminds us that God “changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings.” Biden's illegal immigration drove up housing costs In the United States, a recent report from the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas found illegal migration under the Biden administration drove up housing costs. The report estimates that unauthorized immigrant worker flows explain  about 30% of the total growth in house prices and 20% of total growth in rents.  Listen to comments last year by Vice President J.D. Vance on the subject. VANCE: “When we talk about housing and why costs are so high, we don't talk enough about demand. One of the drivers of increased housing demand, we know, is that we've got a lot of people over the last four years who have come into the country illegally.” Four years since Roe v. Wade overturned: Pro-life laws in 19 states Four years ago, on June 24, 2022, the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. The ruling said the U.S. Constitution does not include a right to abortion. It also handed regulation of abortion to individual states. Since then, 19 states have passed anti-abortion laws. Thirteen states ban abortions in most cases. Four states ban abortions at 6 weeks of pregnancy. And two states ban them at 12 weeks. Trump ends sexually explicit school teen programs The Daily Signal reports that the Trump administration will cut funding to many teenage pregnancy prevention programs in schools this week. The Department of Health and Human Services reviewed Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program grants. It decided to terminate most of them, ending $67 million in grants.  The administration described the grants from the Biden-era as “medically inaccurate,” “age-inappropriate,” and “sexually explicit.” U.S., Mexico, & Canada Bible societies share Christ during World Cup Bible societies are using the 2026 World Soccer Cup to engage millions of fans with Scripture. The United States, Canada, and Mexico are hosting the event. So, the American Bible Society, the Mexican Bible Society, and the Canadian Bible Society are promoting Bibles, devotionals, and evangelistic booklets.  Christian Daily International notes, “These efforts reflect a broader trend among Bible societies worldwide. As major global events attract billions of viewers, organizations are increasingly developing resources that connect Scripture with cultural moments and reach people who may not normally engage with churches or religious programs.” For example, Living Waters, founded by Evangelist Ray Comfort, has printed 2 million copies of the 2026 World Cup million-dollar bill tract available for free when you cover the shipping. They are an effective tool because there is: Instant curiosity: People pick it up and ask questions Natural transition: From “World Cup” to The Cup of Grace Clear Gospel message: Simple, direct, and memorable And it's easy to share: Great for friends, coworkers, and public outreaches Visit the website: www.LivingWaters.com/WorldCup Major League Baseball no longer requires Christian players to support perversion And finally, Major League Baseball recently announced it will not require players to wear uniforms that promote sexually perverted lifestyles.  The issue arose after three San Francisco Giants players added Bible verses to the Rainbow Homosexual Pride caps which they were initially required to wear. Republican Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri posted a letter from the Commissioner of Major League Baseball. Hawley wrote, “The Major Leage Baseball Commissioner writes to me and admits they were wrong to threaten the Giants players over Bible verses and promises never to fine or discipline these players -- or any players for their religious beliefs.” Several San Francisco Giants Christian pitchers — Landen Roupp, Ryan Walker, and J.T. Brubaker  — referenced Genesis chapter 9 on their hats about the true meaning of the rainbow. In verses 14 and 15, God said, “It shall be, when I bring a cloud over the Earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud; and I will remember My covenant which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh.” Landon Roup was asked about his hand-written Scripture on his cap at a press conference. ROUP: “God's covenant, and a promise that He makes to us, that His faithfulness and His mercy. It's kind of something I believe in. I stand firm in that.” Amusingly, Cyd Ziegler, the homosexual co-founder of OutSports, was enraged by the Scripture the Christian pitchers had added to the hats. ZIEGLER: “It defaced the Pride Rainbow with a Bible verse telling the LGBT community that they do not own the rainbow, that God owns the rainbow.” Mr. Ziegler, I've got news for you.  God does own the rainbow! Send a two-sentence thank you note to Robert Manfred, Major League Baseball Commissioner, 1271 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY 10020. And send a 2-sentence thank you note to Landen Roupp for his Christian witness and outspokeness. San Francisco Giants, Oracle Park. 24 Willie Mays Plaza, San Francisco, CA 94107. RECALL: Act Two In February 1961, the boys of Miami Military Academy are still marching, joking, fighting, shaving, bleeding, stealing, and pretending the world outside the gates is someone else’s problem. But the world is already inside the school. It is in the news from Cuba. It is in the old munitions bunkers by the bay. It is in the secrets the adults keep, the wounds they drink through, and the wars they keep handing down to children. Written by Academy Award nominee Bruce Davison, and once optioned and held by the great Al Pacino, RECALL is a funny, savage, deeply human coming-of-age drama about abandoned boys, broken fathers, old soldiers, Cuban exiles, secret weapons, and the machinery that turns fear into patriotism. Act Two begins as Stephen Lishinsky tries to survive the strange education of “A” Company. His head has been butchered. His pride has been beaten. His idea of honor has already taken a few direct hits. When he tries to run, Commander Patterson finds him at the bus stop and gives him the kind of broken advice only a broken soldier can give: if you are in a storm, sometimes the only move is to sit tight and let the morning come. But morning at Miami Military Academy is never clean. Coombs is missing. The Razor Fiend is back. Bear is bleeding into the sink. Lindquist, the feral boy from the mango trees, is pulled into uniform and passed off as a cadet because, at this school, identity is just another piece of equipment someone misplaced. Sally Barnes drifts through the place like a lit match, furious at her father, suspicious of Patterson, and impossible for Lishinsky to ignore. Patterson tries to protect her, but the past between him, Colonel Barnes, and Sally’s mother is its own battlefield. Meanwhile, Slouch and Bebop stop pretending their war is imaginary. The key to Bunker 3 becomes guns, ammunition, and contraband dragged through the machinery of a school that is already falling apart. Patterson lectures boys on amphibious landings while the real invasion waits in the shadows. Bebop is pulled closer to the Cuban exile cause. Slouch, half romantic and half criminal, follows him into the Everglades, into blindfolds, pistols, secret rooms, and men who do not look like teachers. There is comedy everywhere because boys make comedy out of terror. There is coconut rum, marching songs, bad haircuts, chocolate cokes, contraband, dirty jokes, and the Dade County Fair waiting like a reward for good behavior nobody intends to have. But underneath the noise, the rifles are getting heavier. The lies are getting harder to carry. And the adults are running out of time. RECALL is about boyhood at the exact moment history stops being a lesson and starts becoming a weapon. It is about fathers who failed, sons who improvise, countries that ask for sacrifice before they explain the cost, and boys who are still laughing because they do not yet understand what the world is loading. Starring Alan Rosenberg, Carson Bolde, Stone Garcia, Wesley Kimmel, Dan Lauria, Kensington Tallman, Roxton Garcia, Bruce Davison, Luca Diaz, Amari O’Neil, Amir O’Neil, David Errigo Jr., Zeke Alton, Gian Franco Rodriguez, Miki Yamashita, Nemil Mudvari, Sofia D’Marco, and Ashley Ciarra. Why does the aftermath of every revolution look like a disaster -- except ours?Pigweed and Crowhill walk through the big ones. * France's Reign of Terror killed tens of thousands and left the country in chaos for a century. * Haiti's slave revolt produced 111 changes of head of state and has never stopped bleeding. * Russia's communist revolution promised a people's paradise and delivered gulags and engineered famines. * China's Cultural Revolution had students beating their teachers to death and killed sparrows until the plague came. * Cuba took one of the wealthiest islands in the Caribbean and turned it into a museum. The common threads: destroy religion, abolish private property, eliminate the old institutions, and above all — try to create a new kind of man from scratch. It never works. It always ends in mass death and tyranny. What did America do differently? The founders weren't trying to remake human nature. They weren't starting from year zero. They were British citizens who already had self-government, local institutions, and a functioning legal tradition — and they simply wanted the king to stop interfering with it.

Human beings have always loved to gamble. Archeological records suggest we've been doing it for the last 12,000 years, since the end of the last Ice Age. But for as long as we've been playing games of chance, we've worried about what they might be doing to us. For thousands of years, everyone from Aristotle to George Washington condemned gambling, an ancient anxiety that ran so deep it became something like a moral consensus. And then that consensus evaporated. In the span of a decade, both Canada and the US legalized sports betting. Now anyone with a smartphone and a credit card can wager on basketball, hockey, or American cornhole. But it turned out that was just the beginning. A few years later came “prediction markets” like Kalshi and Polymarket that let you bet on, well, just about anything: whether the US will invade Cuba, the odds of James Comey being sent to prison, and whether Jesus Christ will return before 2027. That last one, by the way, is currently sitting at 3 per cent on Polymarket. If betting on missile strikes, military coups, and political prosecutions feels kind of gross, I'm with you. But James Surowiecki thinks we should give prediction markets a chance. Surowiecki is the author of The Wisdom of Crowds, a book he wrote more than 20 years ago, where he argued that large groups of ordinary people are actually better than experts at making predictions. It's become something of a foundational text for these markets: the idea that they can crowdsource knowledge, aggregate what millions of people believe about the future, and use that signal to make better decisions. So I wanted to have James on to make the case for prediction markets, and to see if he could make me feel just a little less squeamish about a world where you can gamble on everything. Paul Rieckhoff and journalist David Rhode rip into the wreckage of Trump's Iran operation — a campaign sold as an existential fight that ended with sanctions lifted, frozen assets returned, the nuclear program intact, and the regime still in power to keep slaughtering its own people. Thirteen American troops are dead. Forty percent of the Navy was tied up. The defense budget is ballooning past $1.5 trillion to paper over the costs. And the optics on the world stage? A checked-out president, alone in the G7 photo, looking weak while our adversaries celebrate. This is a solo briefing on what the angry middle needs to understand right now: every objective Trump set was missed, the Iranian people who risked their lives waiting for America have been hung out to dry, and the president is already telegraphing Cuba as the next target. Paul makes the case that Congress needs to invoke the War Powers Act before the next strike, not after — and that the working-class Americans who were promised their lives would change are footing the bill for Trump-class battleships the Navy says it doesn't need. New Money Making Conversations episodes drop daily. I want to alert you, so you don’t miss out on expert analysis and insider perspectives from my guests who provide tips that can help you uplift the community, improve your financial planning, motivation, or advice on how to be a successful entrepreneur. Keep winning! Two-time Emmy and Three-time NAACP Image Award-winning, television Executive Producer Rushion McDonald interviewed Cedric Walker. Interview Purpose The purpose of this interview is to highlight visionary entrepreneurship, cultural ownership, and perseverance, using Cedric Walker’s founding of Universoul Circus as a case study in building a purpose‑driven business that uplifts community while achieving long‑term success. The conversation emphasizes how research, resilience, cultural authenticity, and belief in a vision can overcome skepticism and systemic barriers. It also positions Universoul Circus as more than entertainment—it is a multigenerational cultural institution rooted in Black excellence, inclusion, and family unity. Major Themes & Key Takeaways 1. Vision Comes Before Validation Cedric Walker shares that the vision for Universoul Circus came in the early 1990s, long before there was widespread belief that a Black‑owned circus centered on performers of color could succeed. Despite strong skepticism from both Black and white investors, Walker trusted the research, the cultural need, and his instinct. Key takeaway: Vision must lead—even when validation comes much later. 2. Research Turns Ideas Into Reality Walker did not rely on inspiration alone. He immersed himself in research, studying Black entertainment history, circus traditions, and global performance art. This foundation allowed him to confidently build a unique, sustainable model rather than copying existing formats. Key takeaway: Preparation and research are critical when challenging industry norms. 3. Cultural Authenticity Is a Competitive Advantage Universoul Circus was created to be authentically Black, not as a niche product, but as a universal experience rooted in joy, music, athleticism, and storytelling. Walker emphasizes that authenticity—not adaptation—is what attracts diverse audiences. Key takeaway: When you are fully yourself, your work transcends culture and geography. 4. Family‑Centered Entertainment Fills a Real Need A defining goal of Universoul Circus is to create an experience where multiple generations can sit together and all feel seen, engaged, and celebrated. Walker intentionally designed the show so grandparents, parents, and children could enjoy the same experience simultaneously. Key takeaway: Businesses that bring families together create lasting emotional value. 5. Evolution Without Losing Identity Over time, Universoul Circus evolved—from including animals to becoming a modern, high‑energy, animal‑free production—adapting to changing laws, audience preferences, and cultural shifts. However, Walker notes that the soul of the circus never changed. Key takeaway: Successful brands evolve operationally without abandoning their purpose. 6. Global Talent, Long‑Term Investment Walker details how Universoul Circus sources talent from around the world, including Ethiopia, Cuba, China, and the Caribbean. Performers often undergo years of training and development before appearing in the show, reinforcing Universoul’s commitment to excellence and safety. Key takeaway: Excellence requires patience, investment, and a long‑term mindset. 7. Representation Changes Perception Universoul Circus intentionally showcases elite Black performers in spaces where they were historically unseen or undervalued. Walker explains that representation is not symbolic—it reshapes belief and possibility for both audiences and performers. Key takeaway: Representation is not aesthetic; it is transformative. 8. Perseverance Creates Legacy Celebrating over 30 years of operation, Universoul Circus stands as proof that staying committed to purpose through adversity leads to longevity. Walker sees the circus as a living legacy and a foundation for future cultural innovation. Key takeaway: Longevity is built by staying the course when others doubt the destination. Notable Quotes “Vision comes to you like that—you have to trust it.” “Nobody believed it would work, but I felt it in my gut and in my research.” “Our goal was to stay authentically Black—that’s what transcends culture.” “We wanted something where a grandmother, a father, and a child could all enjoy the same show.” “Nothing you see is by chance. Everything has meaning.” “We invested years into these performers before they ever hit our stage.” “This is more than a circus—it’s a family reunion under the big top.” Overall Message Cedric Walker’s interview is a masterclass in cultural entrepreneurship. It demonstrates how creativity, courage, and conviction can transform an idea into an enduring institution. His journey with Universoul Circus reinforces that purpose, preparation, and persistence are the true drivers of success—especially when building something that challenges expectations. The conversation ultimately affirms that when a business is rooted in authenticity and community, it can achieve both economic sustainability and cultural impact. #SHMS #BEST #STRAW #AMISee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

IVA showcase: Veterans Meeting the Moment: Todd Achilles on His Idaho Senate Run & Ridgecrest, CA Mayor Travis Endicott. Father's Day 2026.  The Iran operation is being called the biggest American strategic loss in a generation, and the receipts are damning. Thirteen service members dead, billions unaccounted for, forty percent of the Navy tied up, sanctions lifted, assets returned, the nuclear program left intact, and the brutal regime in Tehran emboldened. Meanwhile the president is publicly floating Cuba as the next target, and Congress still hasn't invoked the War Powers Act. Paul Rieckhoff sits down with World War Z author Max Brooks to cut through the spin and ask the harder question: what do citizens actually do when the institutions designed to protect them are this badly broken? This conversation goes deep on the cost of forever wars, the morale and recruiting crisis inside the military, the betrayal of brave Iranians who believed America would have their backs, and the generational damage of watching two octogenarian presidents flail on the world stage. Brooks brings the same survivalist clarity that made World War Z resonate — preparation, community, civic muscle — and Paul translates it into marching orders for the angry middle. RECALL: Act One In February 1961, while America watches Cuba on television and tells itself the next war will belong to someone else, a dying military academy in Miami is still teaching boys how to stand straight, take orders, and become men. Written by Academy Award nominee Bruce Davison, and once optioned and held by the great Al Pacino, RECALL is a funny, savage, deeply human coming-of-age drama about abandoned boys, broken fathers, old soldiers, Cuban exiles, secret weapons, and the first terrible lesson of history: nations do not only go to war with armies. Sometimes they go to war with children who still think they are playing. Act One begins with Stephen Lishinsky arriving at Miami Military Academy, a bright Pennsylvania kid who volunteered for the brochure version of honor and discipline. What he finds is a parade field, a dying commandant, a school already being swallowed by the future, and two cadets handcuffed to a howitzer before morning formation. Inside “A” Company, Lishinsky meets the boys who will become his education. Slouch is a Brooklyn-bred survivor with a cigarette in his mouth, a wound behind every joke, and a talent for turning trouble into currency. Bebop is a Cuban refugee carrying the murder of his father and the dream of taking his country back. Wheeler is an eleven-year-old officer with a sword too large for his body and a hunger for command. Sally Barnes is the commandant’s daughter, back from wherever she ran, driving straight through the gates with all the fury of someone returning to a home that has already become a ghost. And then there is Commander Patterson, a decorated Navy veteran, drunk, wounded, funny, dangerous, and still trying, in his broken way, to protect boys the world has already thrown away. The academy is collapsing. The boys know it. The adults know more than they are saying. Castro is on the news. Cuban exiles are moving in the shadows. The old munitions bunkers are not empty. And when Slouch pockets a key marked Bunker 3, military school stops being a game and starts becoming the first draft of a war story. RECALL is about loyalty, damage, sacrifice, performance, class, country, boyhood, and the machinery that turns fear into patriotism. It is about the lie adults tell boys when they call obedience honor, and the moment those boys discover the rifles are real. Starring Alan Rosenberg, Carson Bolde, Stone Garcia, Wesley Kimmel, Dan Lauria, Kensington Tallman, Roxton Garcia, Bruce Davison, Luca Diaz, Amari O’Neil, Amir O’Neil, David Errigo Jr., Zeke Alton, Gian Franco Rodriguez, Miki Yamashita, Nemil Mudvari, Sofia D’Marco, and Ashley Ciarra.
