He was production designer and co-producer for the feature films Mississippi Masala (1991) and Salaam Bombay! (1988). Epstein's most recent exhibition, American Nature, assembles three self-contained yet integrated photographic series (Old Growth, Property Rights, American Power); a multi-channel video-sound installation with tonal music by Mike Tamburo and Samer Ghadry filmed performing in the forest (Forest Waves), and a looped projection with music by David Lang, performed by Maya Beiser (Darius Kinsey: Clear Cut). Together these five pieces investigate notions of wilderness and human society; and their both collaborative and troubled co-existence. Epstein lives in New York City and Massachusetts.

We met Laura for dinner at Serendipity in Times Square. Saturday: we scored Rush tickets for Two Strangers Carry a Cake Across New York, did a little more shopping and eating (got in some NYC pizza of course) then to see the show at 2p which Laura joined us for. Then we all had dinner at Dos Caminos before our 7p Book of Mormon Show. At home, we heated up a cinnamon roll Laura went all the way downtown to get us from Losers. Sunday: we got bagels and then coffee, finished the TikTok video to the Two Strangers opening song and then hit the road. The countdown to the 2026 Met Gala has begun and the momentous occasion means that Voguers from far and wide are flying into New York City, including none other than our very own Chioma Nnadi. Reunited at last, Chioma, Chloe, and Nicole gathered in the studio—on the same day as another royal's visit to the World Trade Center—and caught up.Earlier this week, Vogue hosted its second Book Club gathering at Metrograph; a celebration of reading Lauren Weisberger's The Devil Wears Prada accompanied by a screening of the sequel which comes to theaters on May 1. After the film wrapped, Chloe invited Vogue alumni Kate Young and Billy Norwich to join her on stage for a live podcast taping. Kate, who started as Anna's assistant in the late nineties and Billy, who was then a writer and editor at Vogue, shared memories and spoke about their initial reactions to the book and movie when they first came out. Billy actually accompanied Anna to the 2006 premiere at the Paris Theater and told Chloe that she wanted to wear Prada because “that was her intense humor.” He also spoke about the test he created with the late Charles Gandee which went viral last year when the New York Times published a multiple choice interactive version titled “Could You Have Landed A Job At Vogue in the ‘90s?”Not all of the reminiscing was so rose-colored. Kate recalled feeling hurt after she read the galley. “At the time she was just making fun of us.” As for Billy, his pet peeve was that “every time I'd get on an airplane that's what was playing. So I couldn't escape it.” The podcast trio also discussed the age-old question which surfaced in light of this week's Chanel show: what is cruise or resort season in the fashion world? Despite many attempts to answer this conundrum, year after year someone always needs a refresher. Nicole's simplest explanation: “cruise is this in-between season, between fall and spring.” The show itself also had the whole office, and broader fashion community, talking particularly about the pair of not-shoe shoes that several models sported on the runway. This near-naked foot look is certainly not practical, but perhaps it'll be making its way onto red carpets in the future. Chioma also brought up the big news that Zoe Kravitz and Harry Styles, after a relatively brief courtship, are engaged. For decades, psychedelics like LSD, psilocybin, and MDMA were regarded as dangerous drugs of abuse — but that's started changing as research increasingly reveals their ability to help treat serious mental health issues. When Marcus Capone retired from the Navy SEALS in 2013 after more than a decade of service, he found himself at loose ends, and battling a deep depression. He cycled through antidepressants and other prescription medications, but nothing worked — until his wife suggested a radical alternative: psychedelic-assisted therapy. Capone describes his experience with ibogaine, how it changed him, and why he thinks it worked when nothing else did. Capone is the co-founder and chairman of VETS: Veterans Exploring Treatment Solutions, and is featured in the documentary “In Waves and War” now on Netflix. Psychiatrist and researcher Rachel Yehuda explains the science behind psychedelic-assisted therapy, and what she's learned about its potential to treat PTSD in veterans. She leads the PTSD clinical research program at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center in New York City. MDMA — otherwise known as ecstasy or molly — is best known as a party drug, but in recent years, scientists have begun investigating it as a treatment for PTSD. We talk with science journalist Rachel Nuwer about the history of MDMA, the science behind its therapeutic potential, and how it helped change one woman's life. Nuwer's book is called “I Feel Love: MDMA and the Quest for Connection in a Fractured World.” Cluster headaches can be debilitating — but a little over a decade ago, a group of sufferers, who call themselves “Clusterbusters,” began investigating the potential of psilocybin, otherwise known as magic mushrooms, to treat their intractable pain. We talk with sociologist Joanna Kempner about her research into the group and their mission, documented in her book “Psychedelic Outlaws: The Movement Revolutionizing Modern Medicine.”

Mark and Ann claim Democrats entering through the border are more extreme than traditional left-wing citizens and predict this could be the end of Caucasian Democrats in the party. Trump is pushing to rebrand ICE as NICE, and body cams could become standard for law enforcement and safety officers.
