Evropští státníci ve formálních blahopřáních Karolovi Nawrockému, vítězi nedělních prezidentských voleb v Polsku, vyjadřují ochotu ke spolupráci a naději, že Polsko zůstane konstruktivním členem Evropské unie. Sami ovšem nevěří tomu, co říkají a píší. Těsná výhra populistického kandidáta podporovaného ultrakonzervativní stranou Právo a spravedlnost (PiS) je špatnou zprávou a představuje otřes, jehož důsledky budou cítit nejen v Polsku, ale daleko za jeho hranicemi.

Dnes večer zvíťazíme. Zvíťazíme a zachránime Poľsko. Povedal Karol Nawrocki po tom, čo bol vonku prvý exit poll. Rovnako sa za víťaza prehlásil aj jeho protivník Rafał Trzaskowski. The United Nations is celebrating its 80th anniversary this year. On June 26, 1945, 50 countries signed the UN Charter. Former German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock is nominated to be President of the 80th General Assembly of the UN. Her nomination, however, also drew criticism. - Die Vereinten Nationen feiern dieses Jahr ihr 80-jähriges Jubiläum. Am 26. Juni 1945 unterzeichneten 50 Länder die UN-Charter. Heute soll die frühere deutsche Außenministerin Annalena Baerbock zur Präsidentin der 80. Generalversammlung der UN gewählt werden. Ihre Nominierung sorgte allerdings auch für Kritik. Warum? Wir haben die Kontroverse rund um die Grünen-Politikerin etwas genauer beleuchtet.

Karol Nawrocki hat die Stichwahl um das polnische Präsidentenamt knapp gewonnen. Nawrocki ist der Kandidat der rechts-nationalen PiS-Partei. Seine Wahl könnte zu Blockaden in der polnischen Politik führen. Weitere Themen: Der ukrainische Präsident Wolodimir Selenski spricht von einem «brillanten Erfolg»: Ukrainische Einheiten haben am Wochenende russische Militärflugplätze angegriffen und dabei angeblich 40 Flugzeuge zerstört.
