They also put out what they have been watching as well as another Up or Down.

SLY is a work of art, it doesn't only tell a story of legendary award winning; film director, screenwriter and action hero of the 80's and 90's “SLYVESTER STALLONE.”. He has a career that spans over five decades. If that's that make you a GOAT, I don't know what will. it somehow makes him immortal and mortal at the same time. The documentary shows, the vulnerabilities of a living legend.it shows his character not the role he played on motion picture but the man. The man behind the lens, the man before the words a written. In his purest moments. It brings out his true essences. The arrogance, the pride, the humility. The human not the millionaire and Hollywood mogul. But just a guy who had a dream, who work hard to make his dream a reality. It's beautiful. Its tear Jucker when you realise how much nonsense Hollywood movies have fallen. it's no longer about heart, passion and making relatable stories. It about making movies flashy and making tonnes of money. Story telling is a dying heart. And it's a wonderful to learn or to experience that Sly wrote, directed and produced, some of his great's moments on the big screen. To believe in yourself even when the odds are pinned against you. When they mock, ridicule you, trip and push you. That you keep on believing. For me that's really the message of this documentary and that no matter how successful you become it will always amount to nothing unless you have family and friends. Because ultimately that's what really matters. The people we love not the things we love. So, to me “Sly'', IT brings out his soul, it gives a detailed description of how much Sylvester Stallone gave it order to bring exceptional characters like Rocky Balboa and John Rambo to life. I only wish the documentary was longer. When I look back at my childhood, I look back with great fondness. It brings me to tears when I think that my father introduced to this wonderful world of movies. So, watching this and seeing sly talked about the trails and the huddlers he had to jump and cross to make these wonderful stories.I think about my father and the VCR, the tapes he rented from blockbuster and those movie rental joints. The anticipation of waiting for Friday and the weekend because we had no electricity. So, we powered the television with a generator. Slyvester stallion. He was so good. I couldn't separate him from the characters, we'd say, things like (while growing in fact some people still do that to this day.) “The new Rambo movie or rocky movie just came out” even though he was playing a completely different role, he was RAMBO. HE WAS ROCKY. with a whole different story line.he embodied the characters. So, much that they become real. You could almost touch them, while they were on screen. These are the types of films that resonate with the audience so much that, we become so involved in the story, you cry, laugh, jump with joy and you be enraged.whenever the character expresses an emotion. Its almost as if you were there with them. Like you part of the story somehow. I think that's what made Stallone so renowned. To make it even sweeter he wrote and directed it. Wow. Man was …. No man is talented. ★ Support this podcast on Patreon ★

The first part of Jojo's Bizzare Adventure (Phantom Blood) is best described as Dracula starring Jean Claude Van Damme with costume design by Jean Paul Gaultier, and you know something? It is a good read! Blending Shonen anime spectacle with the influence of classical literature. We see if the manga has stood the test of time since its 80's debut. Skip synopsis @ 6:32 Email: WeAppreciateManga@Gmail.com 103: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure vol. 1 Chapters 1 to 8, ‘Prologue' and ‘The Stone Mask part 1' By Hirohiko Araki Translation by Evan Galloway Lettering by Mark Mcmurray Phantom Blood is the first part of the epic Jojo's Bizarre Adventure and tells the tale of two young men, Johnathan “Jojo” Joestar and Dio Brando. It starts in south America during the reign of the Aztecs, where a king has used a magical death mask like object to gain supernatural power, then we are taken to the 80's, the 1880's to be precise. where Dio arrives at the home of the Joestars after the death of his father, Dario. Jojo's father, George Joestar, becomes Godfather to Dio and so they welcome the young man under their roof, all whilst Dio plans to rob Jojo of his status and make him suffer. Dio does this whilst maintaining the guise of a step brother but when he discovers Jojo has a girlfriend, he torments him further by forcing a kiss on the poor girl. Dio sadistically claiming, “You wanted Jojo to be your first kiss, but it was I, Dio”. So, Jojo attempts to kick his ass and in doing so spills blood on the mask that hangs in their home. That same magical mask used by the Aztecs now activated by the touch of blood and designed to penetrate the wearer's brain upon doing so. Years pass by but Dio takes it further when Jojo infers that Dio had poisoned his father, Dario Brando and has been doing the same to George Joestar. Jojo sets up new care for his father and sets out on a journey to discover the origin of the poison and get evidence, or at least a cure for his father. Meanwhile Dio investigates the mask to use as a potential murder weapon against Jojo only to discover that it can turn its wearer into a vampire. As Dio returns to the Joestar residence he is ambushed by Jojo who has gained new allies on his journey, meanwhile Dio, with mask in hand, has a plan. · The theme of Jojo is one of becoming a “peon to humanity”, Jojo aspires to become a true gentleman. Meanwhile Dio himself aspires for greatness albeit through horrific ways, and at the cost of his own humanity. · Phantom Blood was first published on January 1987 in Shuesha's weekly Shonen. Alongside the original run of Dragonball (not Z), Ultimate Muscle and Saint Seiya. Like Saint Seiya, Phantom Blood is a very fashion-conscious manga, as we'll see in later episodes. This was to appeal to the readers at the time. · At the time the manga was published Arnold Schwarzenneger, Slyvester Stallone and Jean Claude Van Damme were dominating Hollywood. Their action movies were a response to feminism at the time, with men being celebrated for their physical strength and stamina. So naturally Araki has his hero be the same way, which makes more sense knowing that Jojo needs to be exaggerated physically in order to fight the supernaturally powerfully Dio. · Physically masculine heroes aren't an action movie ideal either, Jojo takes more influence from ancient styles of stories, where mythological characters show further supernatural feats of masculinity, such as the greek Demi-god Hercules, the Olympics itself being a demonstration of competitive power and indiviualism. · One of the manga's most iconic scenes is Dio's “kick the dog” moment. A now popular trope for villains, the oldest examples being seen in Anne Brontë's novel, ‘Agnes Grey ‘(1847) where upon Mr. Hatfield kicks not just a dog but also a cat, Anne's sister, Emily went one step further by having Heathcliff hang a puppy in Wuthering Heights, which was published within that same month and year. In Stephen King's novel, ‘The Dead Zone' (1979), the villain of that story also kicks a dog. It is important to note that the trope isn't about kicking dogs but instead is a shorthand way to tell the audience immediately that a character is despicable. Other references: · The manga opens during the reign of the Aztec Empire, the empire itself was taken over by Spanish conquistadors and their allies in 1521. The Aztecs, also known as the ancient Mexica were the ancestors of the Nahua people of Mexico. · A nod to Charles Darwin is mentioned, Jojo having a passion for archeology compares his studies to Darwin's and wishes to make breakthroughs like himself. Darwin himself changed academia with his ‘Origin of Species' published in 1859. Although incredibly abstract for its time, Darwin's theories still have a lot of credit to them in contemporary times. The phrase “survival of the fittest” is sometimes mistaken as Darwin's words but comes from Herbert Spencer, responding to Darwin. For Jojo to speak of Darwin, is no different than millennials speaking of Carl Sagan or Jordan Peterson, of which the latter's academic legacy has arguably not reached apotheosis as of writing this article. But who knows what the future will bring? · Dario Brando actions resemble that of the character Thénardier in Victor Hugo's Les Miserables, they both inadvertently save a man whilst trying to rob them. · Speedwagon looks suspiciously like Australian actor and film director Mel Gibson, especially in his mullet wearing Lethal Weapon days. · The mysterious mask in Phantom Blood resembles the mask seen in the Italian horror movie ‘Demons' (1985), that mask has the power to turn someone into a ghoulish demon. Although it may be coincidence, it could also have been a possible inspiration for Araki. Facebook Instagram Twitter Official Website Email
Today's motivation is all about prioritizing what you're good at. Audio Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IVHs7vHqRFk&t=37s More about Sly: Sylvester Enzio Stallone is an American actor and filmmaker. After his beginnings as a struggling actor for a number of years upon arriving to New York City in 1969 and later Hollywood in 1974, he won his first critical acclaim as an actor for his co-starring role as Stanley Rosiello in The Lords of Flatbush. Stallone subsequently found gradual work as an extra or side character in films with a sizable budget until he achieved his greatest critical and commercial success as an actor and screenwriter, starting in 1976 with his role as boxer Rocky Balboa, in the first film of the successful Rocky series, for which he also wrote the screenplays. In the films, Rocky is portrayed as an underdog boxer who fights numerous brutal opponents and wins the world heavyweight championship twice. Follow him on Instagram Quote of the Day: “The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place, and I don't care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard you hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward; how much you can take and keep moving forward. 1985 is the summer that kicked off the box office rivalry between action powerhouses Slyvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Stallone had Rambo: First Blood Part 2 and Arnold had the fun version of that movie, Commando!Commando costars Rae Dawn Chong, Alyssa Milano, David Patrick Kelly, Bill Duke, and a very odd Dan Hedaya accent. This was a movie Mike loved to the point that a grease painted Arnold poster for this movie on his bedroom wall. To be fair, he also had an oily Stallone for First Blood Part 2 and a matchstick chomping Stallone Cobra on his walls too. Will Allyson embrace the cheesy 80s over the top action as much as Mike did? What do you think of Commando? This week on Sucktastic, Slyvester Stallone is the law! Watch the 80's action dynamo take liberties with an established comic character, cram in a bunch of one-liners, and commit his most egregious mistake...employ Rob Schneider. If you listened to our She's All that podcast then you can hear the despair in my voice when Kevin rolled a 2 and we has to watch Slyvester Stallone's Bullet to the Head. A dumped and forgotten painfully bad action flick that made less than 10 million dollars at the box office and almost ruined Jason Momoa's career. Listen to us go through a horrible viewing experience but a pleasurable podcast experience. We also talk about Sly's incredible Razzie nominations. As always listen to the very end to see what destiny has in store for us next week.

On a weekly basis I put together a podcast about what I am doing a long the journey of failing my way (in public to success) Me doing this show is quite conflicting because obviously I should be this finished polished article that can show you exactly what you need to do to be successful but like us all, I make mistakes and I'm on this journey to find out just how far I can go I really hope you appreciate that and don't judge me too much because you as well have a journey to go and if you are judging me then you are judging yourself and I would hate to see that happen On todays show I talk about if you really want to annoy me ..... Say this! Rocky is a boxing movie You probably think it is just a boxing a movie but it is so much more than that and we need to look before the movie was even made The story of the actor Sylvester Stallone Born with a birth defect, he suffered nerve damage to the left side of his face, causing him to speak the way he does growing up though he knew he wanted to be an actor (almost impossible to be an actor even if you look like Brad Pitt so imagine his chances) but he knew it was what he wanted to do....that is so important, you have to have a vision of who you want to become on his journey to becoming an actor, he was offered roles but he knew they were not for him, LESSON, you have to learn to say no it go so bad with the not getting any roles that he sold his wife's jewelry, he would rather pawn her jewelry than take on a role he didn't believe was for him. if you think that's bad, he ended up selling his best friend (his dog) to a random person in the streets for 25 dollars. can you imagine doing that ? Whilst watching an exhibition boxing match, with Muhammad Ali, the Heavy Weight Champion of the World, against Chuck Wepner, he was inspired to write a script about A Boxer who was never given a chance in a fight but ended up knocking down the champ and going the distance He was so inspired that within 3 days he had written a 90 page script, how many of you get inspired but act on it? He approached many companies but was rejected He was on an audition for an acting role and by chance mentioned his script, (never pass up a chance to put something forward, you never know) He was told you come back at the end of the day and show the script They loved it and offer 25,000 USD for the script Sly said thank you but I want to play the main role They said no because he wouldn't attract an audience as he had no experience and the audience wouldnt be drawn by the name They wanted the script, offered 50k, 100k 150k, imagine being offered that amount of money, he didnt hae money to feed his dog and now he is being offered 150k He said no... the offer went all the way to 360k, he said no in the end they agreed to give him the part but only pay 35k for the script He couldn't live with himself if the movie would've been a success and he didn't play the main role So, you've just been paid 35k, what is the 1st thing you do? rent a place? buy some clothes, buy a car? He went back to the streets and found the guy he sold the dog to he offered him 4 times what he sold the dog for, the guy said no in the end he paid 15000 USD to buy back the dog The rest is history and with 1 million USD budget, the movie went onto make 200 million at the box office PART 2 next week Connect with me: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/marksclairetraining/ LinkedIn: MarkSclaire https://www.linkedin.com/in/mark-sclaire-97202045/ Website: www.marksclaire.com Email: mark@marksclaire.com Phone: +971566556093 ======================= Please support this channel by giving me a like, subscribing or leaving a comment.
This episode starts out with a quick review of Stranger Things because it was recorded in the summer of 2016. The gang does talk Tango & Cash; a star studded 20 year old summer blockbuster that features Slyvester Stallone and Kurt Russell butting heads. The movie is fine. The one head scratching question the gang has is to Sly. Stallone if you are going to take creative control why can't you pretend that you at least care about the film turning out good? Enjoy!!

After becoming one of the top trainers at Barry’s Bootcamp in NYC and amassing a viral Instagram following, plus a stint on Bravo’s WorkOut New York show, Noah founded Rumble with Eugene Remm from Flywheel. With eight locations, the operation is currently valued at close to $100 million, and shows no sign of slowing down. Noah came on Business Class to discuss the company’s unique digital marketing, “trickle-down swaganomics,” and how he made it from the Harvard of Hustle to founding one of the hottest fitness gyms today. Listen to find out how this entrepreneur turned his passion into a profession, and went from Barry’s Bootcamp trainer, to founder of this fitness empire.

Carlo Hein has always loved cider. That cider love and perhaps his work in renovation and sustainable energy spurred him and his friends to start a cidery. Upon noticing the fallen fruit and neglected apples trees in his area of Luxembourg. He realized, “We need to save these orchards” And so he did. Ramborn Cider Co began selling cider in 2015 and is Luxembourg's only cidery. To make cider he first called Peter Mitchell, who is renown worldwide for his classes on cidermaking. Carlo asked Peter if he would help Ramborn. Peter replied that first you must take my course and then we will discuss making cider for Ramborn. Today Peter Mitchel still consults to Ramborn Cider, which undeniably lends a good amount of UK profile to each of the ciders. What is the traditional word for cider in Luxembourg? Viez Where did the name of the cidery come from? Rambo is an apple known in France and Sweden and in Luxembourg. Like so many wonderful cider blends, Ramborn Cider Company is part Rambo apple and the town “Born”. Upon further research Carlo found that David Morrel the author of the book “First Blood” which inspired the movie Rambo was looking for a name for the main character protrayed by Slyvester Stallone in the movie. Morrel's wife came in from the market and said why not use an apple name! The rest is history and all this goes to show you that once again the apple provides the bases for so many good stories throughout history. With Ramborn being the only cidery in the country the support is massive from both the locals and the government. Visting Ramborn The 1781 barn at Ramborn is original. The architecture is based upon the style that is classically Marie Thersea of Austria, the country that once ruled this area. There is a center square courtyard and the barn that housed a cidery and distillery has been turned into a cinema. Taking a Tour of Ramborn The tour is 1 1/2 hours long and includes a movie that you can hear a short clip of in this podcast. The movie does play in different languages. The tour brings you through the production area and the farm. Ramborn Cider can accommodate up to 140 people per time. There is also a walking tour through the time. There is no tasting room, but upon request there is a dinning area that can be reserved for group dinners.
