In January 1981, American hostages were released from Iran within hours of Reagan's inauguration. Forty-five years later — to within 30 hours — Andrew Pancholi told his subscribers an Iran conflict was about to begin. He was right. This is not luck. It's mathematics — and in this conversation with Dwayne Kerrigan, Andrew breaks down exactly how cycle analysis works, what it's telling us about real estate, geopolitics, and the global economy right now, and what business owners and investors should be doing with that information. In Part 1 of this episode: The 18.6-year real estate cycle: why we are currently at the same position in the cycle as 2007 — just before the Global Financial Crisis — and what the smart money did last time, and what to do nowThe 100-year pandemic cycle — how Spanish flu, cholera, and COVID all followed the same pattern, and why Andrew saw COVID comingThe 90-year geopolitical cycle: how the polarization, rise of nationalism, anti-immigration sentiment, and challenges to global order we're seeing now mirror the 1930s decade almost exactly — including the economic conditions that led to the rise of fascismThe 250-year empire cycle — America at a tipping point, the petrodollar's quiet expiry, and China's strategic expansion while the West was distractedWhy Andrew predicted the Israel-Iran conflict to within 30 hours — the convergence of a 45-year cycle, a 90-year cycle, and a 36-year cycle, and why Netanyahu's personal history from the 1976 Entebbe raid has driven his policy decisions in Gaza and LebanonThe AI boom through the lens of cycles — why every major boom is fueled by new technology, and whether the return on investment can justify what's going in.Note: This conversation is for informational and educational purposes only and does not constitute investment advice. What happens when Orthodox Christians stop simply criticizing culture and start creating it? In this episode, Buck chats with his good friend Mano Elia—host of the Study of Stuff Podcast, founder of Spoon Records, and one of the driving forces behind the Bored No More movement—to discuss what it means to reclaim culture by creating art, music, film, and authentic community centered on Christ and His Church. Mano shares the vision behind Bored No More, a growing network of Orthodox Christian creators dedicated to producing meaningful media, cultivating community, and encouraging artists to create work rooted in Christ. He also discusses Bored No More's partnership with Logos Cinema, where the network's growing catalog of content will soon be available alongside a broader streaming platform devoted to faith-centered films and entertainment. Rather than merely reacting to a culture in decline, Mano challenges Orthodox Christians to what he calls "inverting the inversion"—reclaiming the very spaces that have been distorted and restoring them to the service of God. Buck and Mano also discuss the spiritual condition of Canada, the growing sense of isolation and nihilism they see throughout the country, the expansion of medically assisted suicide, and what these trends reveal about a society that has lost hope. They also explore the blessings and pitfalls of online Orthodoxy, why internet debates should never replace life in the parish, and why our hardworking priests deserve far more grace and gratitude than criticism. Topics include: * What "inverting the inversion" really means * Why Orthodox Christians should create culture instead of merely critique it * The vision behind the Bored No More movement * Bored No More's partnership with Logos Cinema * Spoon Records and cultivating meaningful music * Canada's growing spiritual crisis * Loneliness, nihilism, and medically assisted suicide * The strengths and weaknesses of online Orthodoxy * Why faithful parish life matters more than internet arguments * Showing grace and appreciation for our priests Learn more about Mano's work: Bored No More Community Support the mission Bored No More Study of Stuff Podcast (YouTube) Study of Stuff on Instagram Logos Cinema Sponsor: Donate to the show here: https://www.patreon.com/counterflow  Podsworth App: https://podsworth.com  Code: BUCK50 for HALF off your first order! Stijn Schmitz welcomes back Steve Hanke back to the show. Steve Hanke is a Professor of Applied Economics at Johns Hopkins University. Hanke highlights the two major wars—the U.S.-Israel conflict with Iran and the Ukraine war—as critical disruptors of global commodity flows. He notes that the Strait of Hormuz is effectively closed, with Iran controlling it, and the Houthis threaten the Red Sea chokepoint, severely constricting crude and refined product supplies. Russia's cutoff of diesel exports and domestic fuel shortages compound the strain. Oil markets are in backwardation, with spot prices above futures, signaling dangerously low inventories that have cushioned prices so far but are nearing depletion. Hanke warns that once physical inventories run out, oil prices could spike dramatically, potentially later this summer. He advises going long on oil, especially major producers, as a straightforward trade for most investors. On gold, Hanke maintains a bullish outlook, projecting a peak around $6,000 per ounce based on historical ratios to real disposable income. He attributes recent pullbacks to dollar strength and rising interest rates but sees central bank buying as a fundamental driver. He also discusses the pressure on the Fed to monetize debt, which could fuel inflation and support gold. The conversation shifts to the broader commodity supercycle, fueled by deglobalization, underinvestment, and the need for larger precautionary inventories. Copper and tungsten are identified as clear bullish plays due to supply deficits. Hanke notes that high diesel prices are squeezing mining and agriculture, potentially raising output prices. He also touches on dollarization, recommending developing countries adopt the U.S. dollar to expand its use rather than de-dollarize. The interview concludes with Hanke emphasizing the importance of money supply growth as the key determinant of nominal GDP and inflation. Data can guide the decision. But it cannot always predict what comes next. In this episode of The Level Up Podcast, Paul Alex breaks down how successful entrepreneurs balance analytics with experience, intuition, and the courage to make bold decisions without perfect certainty. Numbers reveal patterns from the past. Instinct helps you recognize opportunities and risks that may not appear on a spreadsheet. The strongest leaders study the data, trust their training, and know when it is time to make the call. In this episode, you'll learn: • Why data is powerful but cannot perfectly predict the future• How experience creates the intuition behind strong business decisions• Why waiting for complete certainty can destroy innovation and momentum• How great leaders combine analytics with bold, decisive action The truth is simple: Data should inform your decisions. It should not control them. Study the numbers. Respect the warning signs. Trust the experience you have earned. When the opportunity is right, make the move before your competitors do. What if every one of these parables is describing the same thing from a different angle? In this episode, Jesus paints a picture of a kingdom that grows like a seed, spreads like yeast, captures you like hidden treasure, and frees you from the endless anxiety of trying to prove you belong. The kingdom of heaven isn't something you do enough to get into—it's God's promise at work, giving you a future that no longer depends on your performance but on Christ's faithfulness.GOSPEL Matthew 13:31-33,44-52 31 He put before them another parable: "The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that someone took and sowed in his field; 32 it is the smallest of all the seeds, but when it has grown it is the greatest of shrubs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches." 33 He told them another parable: "The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed in with three measures of flour until all of it was leavened."44 "The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which someone found and hid; then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. 45 "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant in search of fine pearls; 46 on finding one pearl of great value, he went and sold all that he had and bought it. 47 "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was thrown into the sea and caught fish of every kind; 48 when it was full, they drew it ashore, sat down, and put the good into baskets but threw out the bad. 49 So it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come out and separate the evil from the righteous 50 and throw them into the furnace of fire, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 51 "Have you understood all this?" They answered, "Yes." 52 And he said to them, "Therefore every scribe who has been trained for the kingdom of heaven is like the master of a household who brings out of his treasure what is new and what is old."CARE OF SOULS: DEATHIn Care of Souls, a special mini-series podcast from Luther House of Study, Lutheran pastors and theologians come together to explore the deeply personal and pastoral task of preaching to and caring for those facing death, grief, and loss.Rooted in the theology of the cross and the Lutheran tradition of radical grace, this series offers both theological depth and practical guidance for pastors, church workers, and lay leaders.Across five episodes, the hosts tackle tough but essential questions on death:How does Lutheran theology speak uniquely to death and grief? What does faithful pastoral care look like when walking alongside those who mourn? How can pastors offer both honesty and hope in the face of tragedy and loss? What does ministry look like when death impacts the pastor as well as the congregation? Why do funerals matter, and what is God giving through them? With conversations, real-life stories, and reflections from the front lines of ministry, Care of Souls equips listeners to enter the sorrow of death not with easy answers, but with the crucified and risen Christ.Because in the end, it's not about avoiding death—it's about hearing the Gospel from the One who has passed through death and opened the way to life.Listen to Care of Souls wherever you listen to podcasts or on the Luther House website: Care of SoulsSupport the showInterested in sponsoring an episode of Scripture First?Email Sarah at sarah@lhos.org or visit our donation page: lutherhouseofstudy.org/donate

Readers in other sectors like financial services, energy, retail, automotive etc., make a massive mistake when looking at the technology strategy study training we have up on the site. They assume that the study will not train them about corporate strategy since it is about corporate strategy for technology company. That is major flaw. This podcast elaborates on some of these reasons: 1. Every corporate strategy study must be done for a client in a sector. Therefore it is impossible to find corporate strategy training which is generic - that is, not specific to a sector. 2. The thinking, techniques and training applied to one sector is designed to be applied to any sector. 3. Even if you worked in financial services and we loaded the financial services strategy study shortly, a sector is so large, the study may not even touch the issues you want to learn - therefore focus on the techniques used versus trying to copy content across for your own studies. Do not get into the habit of simply copying analyses. You can switch between apps while studying or working without pausing the ambient sound.About our sounds:Water creates a natural white noise. Infused with the relaxing quality of nature and the sound-masking properties of white noise, listening to running water is an ideal way to turn off all the stressful things life brings, and to de-stress. Some of our most popular sounds include a river, flowing creek, babbling brook, gentle waves on a lake, and a bamboo fountain. Rain also creates a natural white noise. Infused with the relaxing quality of nature and the sound-masking properties of white noise, listening to rain is an ideal way to switch off all the stressful things life brings and to de-stress. Some of our most popular sounds are rain on an umbrella, hailstorms, hard rain, soft rain, gentle rain, wind and rain, rain on a car.White noise helps babies and children to get a better and deeper night's sleep. This is because external sounds are masked by the noise. With white noise in the background, your child will not hear annoying cars driving by or dogs barking in bed. This allows your little one to sleep better. And it also saves you as a parent a lot of hours!Pink noise is more common in nature than you might expect. It can be compared to continuous rainfall or wind. In addition to white noise, pink noise is also increasing in popularity, especially in business environments. Because it can increase productivity, concentration and creativity.Brown noise can be compared to waves of the sea, a river current, strong winds or the sound of thunder during a storm. Like pink noise, brown noise is very similar to white noise. However, the frequencies have been lowered even further and a lot more concentrated. This gives it a rougher/coarse tone than pink noise. It sounds a bit deeper and a bit bass-like. The benefits of brown noise are the same as the other types of noise. It provides relaxation, increased focus and improved deep sleep.DISCLAIMER: Be aware that loud noises can damage your hearing. If you can't carry on a conversation without raising your voice while playing one of our spheres, the sound may be too loud for your ears. Do not place the speakers directly next to a baby's ears. If you have trouble hearing or ringing in your ears, stop listening to the white noise immediately and see an audiologist or your doctor. The sounds provided by ASMR Sleep Recordings are for entertainment purposes only and are not a treatment for sleep disorders or tinnitus. Consult your doctor if you regularly have severe sleeping problems, experience fitful/restless sleep or feel tired during the day.ASMR Sleep Recordings is the white noise and nature sounds podcast to help you sleep, study or soothe a baby. What really happened to hatred in America after World War II?Most of us were taught that defeating Hitler marked a turning point — that America emerged from the war more tolerant, more unified, more committed to its democratic ideals. Historian Steven J. Ross is here to tell us that story is a myth. And he has the documents to prove it.In this episode, Rabbi Yoshi sits down with one of America's most compelling Jewish historians to discuss Ross's new book, The Secret War Against Hate: American Resistance to Antisemitism and White Supremacy — a USA Today bestseller that uncovers a hidden chapter of postwar American history. When the war ended, antisemitism and racism didn't recede. They surged. Organized hate groups more than doubled between 1940 and 1946, and a network of domestic terrorists set about — in their own words — finishing the job Hitler had begun. But that's only half the story. The other half is about the people who fought back: the citizen-spies recruited by the ADL, the American Jewish Committee, and the Anti-Nazi League, who infiltrated these groups at great personal risk and brought their dangerous work to light. Their names have been largely forgotten. Ross gives them back to us.Rabbi Yoshi and Steve talk about the history, what it illuminates about this moment in American Jewish life, and — in true Search for Meaning fashion — where a man who has spent his career in some of the darkest chapters of human experience still finds hope and meaning.About Steven J. RossSteven J. Ross is Dean's Professor of History at the University of Southern California and the Myron and Marian Casden Director of the Casden Institute for the Study of the Jewish Role in American Life. Jason Miller preaches from Galations 3:26-4:11. Paul continues to defend the gospel of justification by faith in Christ alone by listing the many benefits that believers receive in Jesus. Faith in Christ unites us with His death and resurrection, and with all believers despite our external differences. God sent Jesus at just the right time to accomplish the redemption and adoption of His people. God sends his Holy Spirit into our hearts to confirm our relationship to the Father. With all these blessings available to us, why would we turn back to legalistic religious performance to win God's favor? Grace Community Church exists to build spiritually healthy people for ministry in the world. One of the ways that we pursue this mission is by gathering each Sunday for corporate worship, prayer, and biblical teaching. The corporate nature of this gathering is both edifying to the believer and a witness of God's grace to the world. Sermon speaker is Scott Patty unless otherwise noted.

I greet you in Jesus' precious name! It is Monday morning, the 20th of July, 2026, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We go to 2 Timothy 2:15: “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” A man by the name of Charles Kinsley said, ”Have your tools ready. God will find you work.” I like that! We are in such a rush to do things, but we don't take time to prepare them. I remember my late father-in-law, who was a perfectionist when it came to his equipment and his tools. He was a steam engineer by profession, in those days before diesel came into the fore, everything was run by steam. I used to admire his workshop. When you went into his workshop, it was spick and span, it was clean, and all the tools were in the right place. He knew where everything was, right down to the last bolt or nut. As a farmer, I would go in often and say, “Dad, I need help here. Can you help me with a certain spanner?” He would walk straight to his tool-kit and bring it out and by the way, it was shining and sparkling clean, and I had to return it the same way! It is such a pleasure to see an artisan working with his tools, whether he is a carpenter, whether he is a boiler-maker, whether he is a mechanic, especially when he arrives on the farm with his pick-up, and he opens up the side, and he has all his tools in front of him. There's nothing that he needs to look for. You take him the problem with the tractor or whatever it might be, and he gets to work, and in no time at all, he has fixed it. Why? Because his tools are ready. As a preacher, I can tell you, when I started off, I used to spend hours, if not days, preparing a sermon. Now I don't do that anymore. I spend hours and days in prayer and waiting on the Lord and speaking to Jesus, and then, when my tools are ready, I can deliver the message with simplicity and clarity so that people can understand it. Today, we need to understand that people need us desperately, but they want the truth, they want it in love, and they want to know that what you are telling them can be backed up every single time with the word of God. So today, as you go into the field, make sure that you have approved yourself to God as a good workman.Jesus bless you and have a wonderful day.Goodbye.

In this episode of The Bigfoot Inquiry, Brian and Dr. Hogan Sherrow sit down with anthropologist and DNA expert Dr. Todd Disotell for a blunt, science-driven conversation about the search for genetic evidence of Bigfoot.Dr. Disotell has examined hundreds of alleged Sasquatch samples over the years, yet says he has never encountered DNA that supports the existence of an unknown North American primate. He discusses a recent UK eDNA case reportedly containing traces of Old World monkey and great ape DNA, explaining why the claim is unusual, why the raw sequencing data matters, and why extraordinary results must be verified by credible independent laboratories. The conversation also takes a hard look at the Melba Ketchum DNA study, including the problems with its methods, interpretation, and publication. Dr. Disotell explains what laboratories actually mean when a sample is labeled “failed,” “unknown,” or “inconclusive,” and why none of those terms should be presented as proof of an unidentified creature. They also explore the real promise and limitations of environmental DNA, the constant risks of contamination and weak chain of custody, and the collection standards required for a sample to survive scientific scrutiny. The discussion closes with a broader examination of why many scientists avoid the Bigfoot subject, how sensational claims damage legitimate research, and why eyewitness testimony can be shaped by misidentification, expectation, and the fallibility of memory. Email BrianJoin Our FREE NewsletterGet Brian's Books Leave Us A VoicemailVisit Our WebsiteBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/sasquatch-odyssey--4839697/support.Have you had a Bigfoot encounter, Sasquatch sighting, Dogman experience, or other cryptid or paranormal encounter? Broadcast from KSQD, Santa Cruz on 7-16-2026: Dr. Dawn dissects a June 2026 JAMA Internal Medicine paper that claimed simultaneous flu and COVID vaccination in veterans reduced cardiac events, arguing the retrospective natural-experiment design cannot support causal conclusions. The 20% versus 2% dropout rates between groups signal fundamentally non-comparable populations, and the divergence in cardiac events starting within a month of vaccination is clinically implausible—suggesting an X-factor other than vaccine effect is driving the numbers. Dr. Dawn delivers a pointed critique of a major chain pharmacy—part of a vertical healthcare monopoly—for creating deliberate friction around controlled-substance prescriptions through claims of stock shortages, unnecessary prior authorizations, and phantom "clarification" requests. She acknowledges the real paperwork burden of DEA compliance (quarterly reporting, six-month inspections, legitimate-need documentation) but argues chains are pushing pain patients away rather than doing due diligence, while independent pharmacies are closing at alarming rates in California. Following up on last week's Kampo medicine caller, Dr. Dawn reports research on Goshajinkigan showing it suppresses voltage-gated sodium channels at the motor end plate, functioning as a muscle relaxant used clinically in Japan for low back pain, extremity numbness, and chemotherapy- and diabetic-induced neuropathy. An emailer asks about a case report of an 80-year-old woman with 10-year Alzheimer's whose function dramatically improved after 5g oral psilocybin (Enigma strain), regaining conversation, continence, and autonomous dressing. Dr. Dawn notes plausible mechanisms (neuroplasticity, anti-inflammatory action, elevated BDNF) but cautions the diagnosis was clinical rather than confirmed with imaging or CSF markers, and recommends the emailer pursue exercise and sleep optimization for word-finding difficulties instead. An emailer asks how to reassure her chemically-hypersensitive adult son that their remediated apartment is safe. Dr. Dawn recommends commercial ERMI (Environmental Relative Moldiness Index) testing along baseboards where spores concentrate, plus urine mycotoxin testing on the parents themselves to demonstrate objectively low exposure levels. Drosophila fruit-fly males produce sperm longer than their own 2mm bodies—40 times longer than human sperm—with thousands packed inside. Fluorescent-dye imaging shows the sperm remain unusually still and coordinated, moving in synchronized slow waves like flocking birds or kelp in tides, preventing tangling. A Washington University study of 154,000 UK and 10,000 US participants used nine blood biomarkers to calculate biological age, finding people born in the 1990s show accelerated biological aging compared to those born three decades earlier. The gap between biological and chronological age correlated with increased risk of lung, colon, and uterine cancers—all rising in younger populations. A University of Pennsylvania study of 493 mouse litters found germ-free mice had shorter reproductive lifespans, more ovarian scarring, and accelerated loss of primordial follicles. Introducing gut bacteria at birth or weaning reversed these effects, as did supplementation with short-chain fatty acids alone (butyrate, isobutyrate, acetate). Dr. Dawn suggests ghee as a readily available butyrate source for those interested in the theoretical fertility-preservation benefit.

His latest book is Liberalism and Its Discontents. Linda Chavez is the Vice Chair of the Renew Democracy Initiative, founded by Garry Kasparov. She previously served in the Reagan administration and has been a syndicated columnist and political commentator for decades. Rachel Janfaza is the founder of Up and Up, where she researches and writes about the political beliefs and cultural attitudes of Gen Z. This conversation was recorded at the Liberalism for the 21st Century conference in Washington, D.C., which is organized by the Institute for the Study of Modern Authoritarianism.
