AI-Based Cancer Diagnostic Tool Supports Pathologists to Boost Accuracy Efficiency and Access with Joseph Mossel Ibex Medical

Joseph Mossel, CEO and Co-Founder of Ibex Medical Analytics is developing AI-based cancer diagnostic technology to help pathologists work faster and more accurately with tissue samples. This technology is being widely adopted as an artificial pathologist that can perform tasks more efficiently and aid the pathologist in reducing error rates, which is ever more important with the shortage of pathologists and increasing demand. Partnering with pharma companies, this technology has the potential to develop algorithms that can help determine the effectiveness of specific cancer drugs, expanding the application of AI beyond improving diagnostic accuracy. Joseph explains, "Pathology labs know how to receive a biopsy and a tissue sample and then convert it into a slide. Then, it is diagnosed by the pathologist. Our technology, not only does it help the pathologist to do their work faster, but it also is embedded within the lab workflow. You can think of the lab as the kind of a factory here, and we help all of that to be more efficient and faster. In some cases, we can actually cut down the time to diagnosis by even a few days." "Many studies that we've run with pathologists found that using our AI is better than just the AI and better than pathologists not using the AI. And you'll ask soon better by how much. That depends on the specific pathologists and the lab. But we've seen good labs with an error rate of around 2% to 3%. And by error, I mean really missing a cancer diagnosis, so diagnosing a cancerous case as benign. And then the absolute worst we've ever seen was a lab where 20% of the cases were misdiagnosed, which was a bit shocking. With a pathologist using our algorithm, the advantage of the two working together is that the algorithm and the pathologist tend to make different mistakes. Working together, we get to a level where there's maybe a handful of mistakes in every 10,000 cases." #IbexMedicalAnalytics #CancerDiagnostics #Cancer #DigitalPathology #Pathology #AI #AIinPathology #PatientOutcomes  ibex-ai.com Download the transcript here

This holistic approach acknowledges the complex interplay between physical and psychological health, particularly for conditions like PTSD and major depression that often accompany TBI. Role of Pediatric Care in Military Medicine: Pediatric care is a critical component of the military health system. Military personnel's families, including children, are integral beneficiaries of the system, underscoring the need for specialized pediatric care within military medical facilities. Lessons from Pandemic Responses: Consistent preparedness is essential for effective pandemic response. Experiences from previous pandemics, including recent ones, highlight the importance of maintaining readiness and continuously funding capabilities to handle both natural and potentially engineered pandemics. Lithium plays a crucial role in mineral balancing and has a deep spiritual connection. Homeopathy can help navigate through healing crises and support organ function. Binders are important in mineral balancing to prevent reabsorption of toxins. Peptides may offer additional support in the healing process. Flexibility is key in finding the right approach to healing. Zinc plays a crucial role in immune function, brain health, enzyme activity, and cancer prevention. Toxic metals can deplete zinc levels in the body. Mineral balancing is important for maintaining emotional stability and discernment in the face of external influences. The depletion of zinc in the soil has led to widespread zinc deficiency in the population. Astrological shifts can have an impact on mineral balance and overall health. There may be a connection between detoxification and the release of dark energy or entities. Ancient texts and history have been manipulated, and there is a hidden agenda controlled by a Luciferian Satanist group. Copper and magnesium play crucial roles in the body, and imbalances can lead to various health issues. Calcium modulation is important to prevent deposition diseases and maintain overall health. Energy-based medicine, such as homeopathy, can be a powerful tool in supporting mineral balancing and overall well-being. Molybdenum is an underappreciated mineral that helps with the breakdown of nitrosamines and the balance of copper and iron. Going through metal dumps is an important part of the healing process in mineral balancing. Mineral balancing is a comprehensive approach that considers multiple factors, including diet, blood work, and other lab tests. Continued care and supervision are recommended for long-term success in mineral balancing.   Keywords: minerals, cosmic force, lithium, mineral balancing, homeopathy, binders, peptides, flexibility, zinc, mineral balancing, immune function, brain health, enzyme activity, cancer prevention, toxic metals, soil depletion, astrology, societal dynamics, emotional stability, discernment, mineral balancing, dark forces, ancient texts, copper, magnesium, calcium modulation, energy-based medicine, homeopathy, molybdenum, metal dumps, overall health

Diagnosing Post-Acute Infection Syndromes: Special Series from The Cohen Center for Recovery from Complex Chronic Illnesses at Mount Sinai“Tick-borne illnesses are incredibly stealthy and complicated and if I wasn't living and breathing it every day and seeing the intensity of these symptoms in patients, I would never believe it,” says Shannon Delaney, a psychiatrist in private practice in New York City. The complexity of such illnesses and the symptoms they cause is a key reason it can often take years to reach a diagnosis, which is the focus of this episode of Raise the Line, part of a special series on post-acute infection syndromes that Osmosis from Elsevier has created in partnership with the Cohen Center for Recovery from Complex Chronic Illnesses (CoRE) at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital. In addition to Dr. Delaney, host Dr. Raven Baxter of CoRE welcomes Dr. Amy Kontorovich, an associate professor in Cardiology and Genomic Medicine at the Icahn School and Dr. David Putrino, director of Rehabilitation Innovation at Mount Sinai, to explore the limitations of current diagnostic tools and protocols and what changes are needed to improve patient care. Key themes include developing better tests for pathogens and educating providers to listen more carefully to patients. “In a typical medical encounter, the biggest dropped ball is completely disregarding an acute infection in the medical history,” stresses Putrino. All agree that providers need to be more comfortable with uncertainty and resist the urge to develop treatment plans that don't address root causes. “If more doctors could just say, ‘I don't know' I think it would do a great service to patients," adds Kontorovich. This is a candid and enlightening discussion about the importance of developing a collaborative, patient-centered mindset to provide the best care for those suffering with a range of post-acute infection syndromes.Mentioned in this episode: Mount Sinai Health SystemSteven & Alexandra Cohen Foundation

On today's episode, we are thrilled to welcome XYPN member, Reese Harper, CFP ®, and Carl Richards, CFP ®, to XYPN Radio. These innovative minds are behind the cutting-edge technology called Elements, XYPN's newest technology partner.  We'll dive deep into the origins of Elements, the technology itself, and the ideas that inspired its creation. Reese shares how his frustrations with the lack of realistic, standardized measurements for a client's financial health led him to define what he calls the client's 11 vital signs—an essential aspect that eventually led to the development of Elements. These vital signs don't just transform the delivery of financial planning services by advisors, but they also redefine the client's experience and the overall value of financial planning. What struck me most during this conversation was the emphasis on the client's' present situation, referred to by Carl as the "presenting problem." Elements, through its standardized set of measurements, defines a new language of advice and guides the client towards making the next right decision with their advisor. It's the ultimate engagement tool to help financial planners connect with their clients in an easy, fast, digestible way and provide visible ongoing value to their clients.  If you're interested in learning more about a beautifully designed conversion tool that will attract, engage and demonstrate ongoing vaule to prospects and clients, this is a can't miss episode!

AABP Executive Director Dr. Fred Gingrich is joined by Conrad Schelkopf to discuss a recent paper published in The Bovine Practitioner Volume 57 Number 2. Conrad is a dual DVM/PhD student at Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. The title of the paper is “Comparison of electronic nose and conventional cow-side diagnostic tools for detection of ketosis in early lactation dairy cows”.  We review the various types of ketones that are measure by different diagnostic tests in dairy cows. The average economic impact of a case of ketosis in a dairy cow published in the literature is about $300, and having reliable and effective diagnostic tests can be a valuable tool for dairy producers. Electronic nose technology has been used in human medicine for disease diagnosis, but little research has been done in veterinary medicine. The technology “sniffs” samples that has a variety of sensors that detects a variety of volatile compounds in the space above the sample. The paper discusses how the tool is trained and calibrated for this experiment to create a fingerprint to match that fingerprint to different samples. The objective of this study was to compare the eNose technology to the urine ketone test strips and blood BHBA  cow-side diagnostic tools and to evaluate the applicability to clinical practice in a production setting. The eNose technology had lower sensitivity and specificity vs. the Precision Xtra and urine ketone tests. Conrad also discusses the positive and negative predictive value of each test based on the estimated prevalence of the disease. Conrad also discusses some potential future applications of the eNose device in booth beef and dairy practice. Emerging technologies and research to validate these technologies in the field is an important area of new research in cattle practice to improve cattle health, welfare and productivity.  Schelkopf, C.
