Of Course You Realize THIS Means Podcast - A Looney Tunes Discussion
You made it! Here is the third part of my SDCC Looney Tunes Coverage! In the Indigo Ballroom, Warner Brothers Animation gracefully conducted a coup de grâce of epic proportions to their competition with 5 New Projects surrounding their Looney Tunes and Tiny Toons IP that are in production simultaneously! And that's not to mention, Coyote Vs. Acme which is another feature film we're getting next year! Eric Bauza moderated the panel and brought out Alex Kirwan, Abe Audish, Nick Cash, Erin Gibson, and Ashleigh Crystal Hairston to the stage to discuss Looney Tunes Cartoons, Tiny Toons Looniversity, and Bugs Bunny Builders! The presentation started with a Birthday Celebration surrounding Tweety's 80th! Then we were given the release date of Nov. 19th and 20th for King Tweety to be broadcast on Cartoon Network and HBO Max the following day! BUGS BUNNY BUILDERS: was next where we were treated to a full episode of the new show aimed at pre-school, but there is a lot to love in this family friendly series. "The world may change but the tunes adapt to fit in it without losing their main character traits." The big take away from this was the character interactions. Here, we'll see Foghorn Leghorn talk it up with Bugs Bunny and there will be so many cameos! LOONEY TUNES CARTOONS: Speaking of deep cut characters; we were given concept are and model sheets for older characters joining these new cartoons! These include Pussyfoot and Marc Anthony, Witch Hazel, Ralph Phillips, The Three Bears, and Sniffles! They brought with them a sneak peek of Hex Appeal, the Witch Hazel short and it is breathtaking! Check it out here: Hex Appeal! Then we were treated to a Comic Con Exclusive, with Ralph Phillips donning the cape and cowl and re-enacting the classic Batman: The Animated Series opening within a day dream! The crowd went nuts for that! A New Batch is on the way and we'll also see the full Witch Hazel short alongside a Halloween Special this FALL! TINY TOONS LOONIVERSITY! Tiny Toons Looniversity showed up with concept art, new details and a casting announcement! Ashleigh Crystal Hairston (Craig of the Creek) will be Babs Bunny in this series which will contain 30 minute episodes! We were also told the leads for the show would be Buster, Babs, Sweetie, Plucky and Hampton. With the faculty being made up of all the classic Tunes you know and love supporting their growth through the Performing Arts School! THE DAY THE EARTH BLEW UP! TITLE REVEALED! Daffy Duck and Porky Pig star in this Sci-Fi Animated Epic that will have the two idiots trying to save the world in the style of Looney Tunes Cartoons! This will be the first film from that team of Warner Bros Animators and it's written by Kevin Costello (Brigsy Bear.) BYE BYE BUNNY - FEATURE Before we were let out, we were provided an exclusive look from the new Musical Feature written by Ariel Dumas with songs by Tom Kitt who appeared at a piano and ready to sing us a song from the film. The song brought everyone's emotions out as it was set to a visual montage of Bugs Bunny from the Happy Rabbit to What's Opera Doc! and the lyrics were so nuanced I couldn't help but feel the weight of it. THAT'S NOT ALL FOLKS! The Panel may have ended, but it has never been a better time to be a Looney Tunes fan! This weeks guest is just 18 years old and has already racked up some amazing credits in some amazing home grown series such as Frayed, Born to Spy and most recently Barons. When I tell you this actor has the type of drive and determination that is enviable, I don't think that is enough to do her justice. Honestly, I think if I hustled half as much as Lulu Quirk, I wonder where I would be… Lulu is so incredibly likeable and passionate about this game that I just know she is going to go far. In this weeks episode we talk about how when her parents said no to a performing arts school, she saved the money from her part time job and presented her parents with a financial plan on how to pay for school AND THEY AGREED. Now she is performing in her first ever stage production Young Bodies / Some Bodies which is showing until this Saturday the 28th at the flight path theatre in Marrickville. Ill share link to tickets in the bio. Look, if you don't come away from this podcast feeling inspired, I don't know what's wrong with you. Lulu's energy is infectious. Hope you enjoy this weeks episode and good luck on your own journey to making it. Mike Ham travels to the Mayo Performing Arts Center in Morristown, NJ to visit with General Manager Ed Kirchdoerffer. Mike and Ed discuss the history of the theater, its ties to the community, the educational programs it offers and more!About Mayo Performing Arts CenterMayo Performing Arts Center is where our community comes together to be inspired, entertained and uplifted by the power and the passion of the performing arts. With over 200 events covering the span of performing arts, MPAC brings the world's greatest entertainers, New Jersey-based artistic organizations, and emerging and dynamic new performers to our region. Through arts education and community outreach programs, MPAC is committed to providing cultural enrichment for both young audiences and the public at large by increasing their exposure to the arts. The Community Theatre was built in 1937 and was once the crown jewel of Walter Reade's chain of movie theatres in New Jersey. Its success mirrored the love affair between America and movies during Hollywood's Golden Age. It officially opened on December 23, 1937, with the showing of the movie Nothing Sacred. The Community Theatre was Morristown's first first-run movie theatre and remained at the center of Morristown entertainment for four decades. By the 1980s, however, the Theatre had fallen into disrepair and sat idle and hulking for nearly a decade. Things changed in 1994 when an army of tireless volunteers, armed with a sense of civic pride and limitless elbow grease pulled together and saved the Theatre from its uncertain fate.On September 29, 1994, after months of toil, the Theatre reopened as a performing arts center with a gala performance featuring the Kirov Orchestra of Saint Petersburg and Morristown resident and renowned pianist, Alexander Slobodyanik. Many volunteers openly wept as the Theatre's renaissance finally came to fruition. In January, 1995, the South Street Theatre Company, a nonprofit organization, was formed to purchase and renovate the theatre. From 1997-2000, a capital campaign was undertaken to create funding for a comprehensive refurbishing and upgrade of the theatre. In March 2005, it launched two Performing Arts School workshops as a precursor to the launch of an official school in September 2005, which now educates over 650 students (2016) in musical theatre and acting. In May 2011, the Theatre officially changed its name to Mayo Performing Arts Center, completing a three-year transition. In July 2016, the Theatre earned the distinction of Outstanding Historic Theatre by the League of Historic American Theatres. Now in its 27th season, Mayo Performing Arts Center has become one of New Jersey's preeminent arts and cultural organizations and now hosts more than 200 performances to more than 200,000 patrons every year.100 South Street Morristown, NJ 07960www.mayoarts.org@mayopacToday in New Jersey History: Joseph Bloomfield was born on October 18, 1753New Jersey Fun Fact: Beemerville, NJ is home to a volcano that is no longer active.Thank you to our sponsors:Calandra's Bakery and Restaurants www.calandrasbakery.comAlbert & Whitney CPAs www.awcpasllc.comTRJ Consulting Services www.trjconsultingservices.comContact the show: greetingsfromthegardenstate@gmail.comWebsite: greetingsfromthegardenstate.comFollow us on Instagram: @greetingsfromthegardenstateMusic (used with permission): "Crazy" by Manny Cabo https://www.mannycabo.com/Support the show

To diminish the human tendency of self-degradation in order to be of better service to our families and communities is one of the primary aims of this selection. The artistic risk taken is the juxtaposition of music, nature sounds, motif, acting, trombone performance, and poetry in a theatrical audio framework. I believe that the arts are the engine of humanity. The arts bring communities together for higher achievement, empathy, and appreciation." This Original Piece is performed entirely by Mansa Gory. Schick uns deine Top 10 von 1 Punkt bis 12 Punkte - an marco@mercicherie.at. Am 5.5. erscheint die Episode "Merci Jury 2020" mit all euren Top 10 Songs. Aber Achtung: You cannot vote for your own country. Ungeahnte Kreativität entwickeln Künstlerinnen und Künstler in Zeiten der Krise, natürlich auch die legendären Eurovision-Performer. Als Beispiel für eine interessante Kolaboration in Corona-Lock Down sei hier die Home Version von Helena Paparizou und Sergey Lazarev erwähnt, die seinen Hit "You Are The Only One" intonieren.

[0:03] Have you ever been scrolling through your newsfeed on Facebook or Instagram, and suddenly, you see an image that grabs you and stops your scroll?[0:14] We're talking all about creating scroll-stopping, drool-worthy graphics using the quotes you pulled from your transcripts back on episode 219.[0:26] And I'll be sharing my free go-to tool at the end of today's episode, so you can start creating today.[0:36] Before we dive in, this episode is being brought to you by my work-LESS, stress-LESS, guilt-LESS Strategies for a Successful Summer Training Bundle.[0:48] These at 21 strategies are the best, most popular, most impactful and actionable strategies that can help you craft your most ideal summer, all while working less, stressing less, and guilting less.[1:07] Until June 10, you can grab this entire bundle for only $19. It's a total steal when compared to the hundreds of hours of interviews I've done to gather these 21 strategies for you. Grab your copy today at yongpratt.com/bundle.[1:30] And now let's dive into today's topic. In case you missed the previous five parts of this series, all about Multiplying Your Message - taking one great piece of content and multiplying it into many many different forms - I encourage you to go back and take a listen. And more importantly, take action.[1:56] Remember that imperfect action is a far better than perfect in action.[2:03] I'll link up the rest of the series including all the bonus episodes, over on the show notes page that will be available after the show goes live at yongpratt.com/221.[2:19] Back when I was running my Performing Arts School, we had a need to create graphics faster and more cost-effective than we could get them done locally. As much as I love to support and encourage local businesses, it's not always possible when you're starting or scaling a business, especially on a tight budget.[2:43] I invested in a tool that you probably heard of before - Photoshop. More accurately, I bought the version that was the scaled-down version called Elements.[2:54] The free tool I'll share it a bit just wasn't available back then.[2:58] I'd spend hours and hours watching tutorial video after tutorial video to do what I thought would be a 'simple' task. Even though the program was scaled back, it was still so big and it really bogged down my Mac, which made tasks even longer.[3:21] Can you relate to that?[3:23] Have you ever purchased a piece of software because of what it could create for you only to discover that the learning curve was far longer and far greater than you anticipated?[3:38] Well, fast forward a couple years ago, and I was introduced to a free tool online called Canva. And again, I'll link up this tool over on the show notes at yongpratt.com/221.[3:53] Once you create your free account, you can be designing immediately. What's great about this tool is that it comes with thousands of templates and images that you can use right out of the box by just putting your brand colors, and your logo and your own pictures on them. The templates come formatted for all sizes of images you might want to create across social media: maybe you want to create flyers, something for your website, and much more.[4:26] Did I mention this is a free tool? Totally crazy, right?[4:31] I do happen to use the paid version of Canva Pro, so I can get more access to images and layouts. And I can change the sizes of the images a little faster, so I can use them across social media. But to get started, just grab the free version.[4:51] Once you've logged in, all you have to do is click on a template you like in the size that you need, and add one of the quotes you pulled from your transcript. From there, you can download it and use it right away. Even today.[5:09] If you pulled three or four quotes or more from your transcript, you can create three or four different images. You can choose to use three different templates, or use the same template with different colors, or fonts that represent your brand. That's it. Easy peasy.[5:27] When it comes to choosing your colors and your fonts, think simple. Remember, on the podcast were all about simplifying. And when we think about graphics, we want to be more simple because simple often resonates with people a little more than complicated.[5:45] If you think back to the images that you scroll past in your newsfeed, it could be for a number of reasons. Maybe the message didn't resonate with you. Maybe the image was confusing. The text didn't match the image. Or maybe the image itself is just too busy.[6:04] I know that I often see graphics that are really, really busy. They have tons and tons of colors, making the font really hard to read. And the worst offender that I see personally, is that I see graphics with really beautiful font. However, it's a little too scripty to read and decipher.[6:25] So if I'm not able to really share my message quickly, people are likely going to scroll past that image. We do not want them scrolling past these quote images, especially if they are quotes directly from you or from your guests.[6:42] We want them to stop then learn a little more about what we do. So here's the bottom line. Here are your action steps for this episode.[6:53] Are you ready?[6:55] Grab a pen and paper if you don't have one yet or open up the Notes app on your phone. Here they are.[7:01] Step number one, sign up for a free Canva account today.[7:06] Step number two, copy and paste the quotes from your transcripts into a template on Canva or multiple if you have multiple [quotes].[7:17] Step number three, post your graphic to social media. And if you're on Instagram, post your graphic there and tag me @theYongPratt so I can celebrate what it is that you have competed.[7:34] That's it. Once you've done that, just start paying more attention to what catches your eye on social and then go to Canva and create something similar.[7:46] Here me on this one. I am not advocating that you copy and in fact, I will tell you not to copy someone else's work because having had that happened to me multiple times, it just is really grating and we want to make anyone else grumpy with us. There's no reason for that.[8:04] What I'm saying is be inspired by what they created and go create something similar. Just be sure to add your own personal flair and a message that speaks to your audience.[8:16] Now this week, I do have a bonus episode coming up for you on Thursday with Nicole Thompson. Nicole is a 28-year graphic design pro and she's going to share more tips and tricks to help you create those scroll -stopping graphics in no time.[8:34] Before you head out on your day, I want you to ditch the mom guilt and the stress that often accompanies summertime, especially when it comes to raising your kiddos along with your business. Be sure to grab my 21 work-LESS stress-LESSand guilt-LESS strategies over at yongpratt.com/bundle.[9:00] And that my friends is a wrap on this episode. I look forward to catching up with you on the next one. Cheers See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
In this episode of "Kahnversations," we interview Christina Vidal. Christina Vidal was born and raised in Whitestone, Queens, New York. The youngest child of Puerto Rican parents Josephine and Manuel, Vidal always marched to the beat of her own drum. She began acting by chance when her junior high school teacher gave her a flyer for an open audition in the film LIFE WITH MIKEY. Eventually, Christina landed the lead role with Michael J. Fox and achieved two milestones: her professional debut and becoming the first Puerto Rican child actress to play a lead in an American film. For high school, Christina attended the Performing Arts School of New York. Vidal was just getting started. She has since appeared in many television series and specials, holding both series lead and series regular roles. Vidal is often known for her performance in the title role of Nickelodeon’s TAINA which ran for two seasons. She later went to star in FREAKY FRIDAY opposite Lindsay Lohan (2003) and SEE NO EVIL (2006). Most recently, Vidal starred in the NBC Pilot CURSE OF THE FUENTES WOMEN and also held roles in CODE BLACK, LIMITLESS, and BLUE BLOODS. She now goes on to join the cast of TRAINING DAY. A woman of many talents, Christina is also known for her musical inclinations. She has collaborated with such artists as Will Smith, Jade Villalon, and Sabrina Bryan of the Cheetah Girls. She has also contributed songs for the soundtracks of FREAKY FRIDAY, TAINA, and BYOU. In her spare time, Christina enjoys watching films; particularly those starring Julia Roberts, Ashley Judd, Sally Field, Al Pacino, and Jack Nicholson. Not solely limited to the silver screen, she can also be found binge watching DOWNTOWN ABBEY and FRIENDS. Christina loves salsa dancing, cooking for her family, and interior decorating. Her sisters Lisa and Tanya Vidal are also actors who have appeared on TV and in theatre. Her brother Christian, the only boy, rounds out her tight-knit family of 6. . There are so many inspiring podcasts with fabulous stars out there. But their careers feel light years away from ours, don’t they? Wouldn’t it be great to hear from the guy who just booked his first pilot? Or the kid finally doing a studio pic after a bunch of low budget indies? Or the woman who’s been a series regular a few times but is only now becoming a name? What about the guy who’s been on a show for years and you know his face but what’shisnameagain? Or that actress who is now a freakin’ showrunner???? How’d THEY do it, right? How did they transition from relative obscurity, bartending and bottle service, to buying that house in Brentwood? We’re producing “Kahnversations,” a podcast that provides access to THOSE people -- your immediate predecessors -- so that you can learn from them while their battle scars are still fresh. In “Kahnversations,” our own Ryan Bailey interviews some of Lesly Kahn & Company’s working actors, directors, and writers in order to learn how they got started in Hollywood, the challenges and hurdles they faced, and how they overcame the odds. (They also dish out some crazy stories!) Listen in and enjoy as these entertainers speak candidly about their paths, processes, and experiences. You might even hear a bit about how Lesly and the Kahnstitute have influenced and shaped their careers.
