Woah Nelly, hold onto the straps tightly…this episode is going to blow your doors off. Episode 464 of The IMPACT SHOW is a must-listen for any leader, entrepreneur, coach, or high performer who wants to grow, lead better, and create real impact in the world today. Today's guest is one of the most dynamic and transformational speakers I've ever heard…and I've heard a lot. His name is Jeremy Foster. I first heard Jeremy speak live in early 2025. He was amazing. I invited him to speak at my Annual Mountain Retreat (Whitefish, MT) in November and he did it again...he hit a grand-slam. I said it then — and I'll say it again — he's one of the Top 5 speakers in the world. He spoke for over two hours and had the room completely locked in. People were laughing, high-fivin', shouting, crying, and most importantly, doing some serious inner work. In this episode, you're getting a powerful excerpt from that live talk — and I promise it will challenge how you see yourself and how you lead. Jeremy's journey is as compelling as his message. From bull-riding cowboy and political consultant to pastor, leadership coach, to Chief Marketing Officer for John Maxwell's organization to now leading his own company, he brings grit, wisdom, humor, depth, and clarity to everything he does. Today, he works closely with CEOs and leadership teams in his FosCo Leadership Company, helping organizations build alignment, culture, and sustainable growth — all rooted in faith and purpose. In this episode, Jeremy dives into what he calls "The Awareness Advantage" — what the best leaders see that others don't. Most leaders think they're self-aware, but only a small percentage actually are, and that gap is costing teams and organizations more than they realize. This conversation will push you to confront blind spots, examine your patterns, and lead with greater clarity and conviction. Here's what you'll take away in this episode: The Real Leadership Gap: Self-Awareness Most leaders think they're self-aware — but research shows only 10–15% actually are. That gap? It's costing you culture, alignment, trust, and results. Jeremy breaks down how self-deception, not strategy or talent, is often the real roadblock holding leaders and organizations back. Sometimes You're the Solution… and Sometimes You're the Problem One of the most powerful truths in leadership: You can't fix what you won't own. Jeremy walks us through how elite leaders learn to recognize where they are the bottleneck — and how awareness becomes the gateway to growth. Patterns & People If your business is struggling, it's rarely the product — and it's not always the people. Jeremy unpacks the big three: 1. People 2. Patterns 3. Resources And why broken patterns and systems, not "bad hires," are often the real issue behind underperformance. Values Aren't Aspirational — They're Behavioral Values aren't what you say you believe — they're what your behaviors prove. If your values don't show up in how you schedule, communicate, hire, lead, and live… they're not values — they're just vision statements. Awareness Unlocks Purpose Jeremy powerfully connects leadership, mindset, faith, and purpose — reminding us that your next breakthrough won't come from learning more tactics… It will come from learning more about you. When awareness increases, alignment follows — and when alignment follows, impact explodes. This episode will stretch you. It will challenge your thinking. And if you're willing to lean in and do the work, it can absolutely elevate the way you lead and live. I promise you this — if you listen with an open heart and an open mind, something will shift. So do me a favor — don't half-listen to this one. Or listen to it the first time while you are walking, working out and doing what you do. But then come back a 2 nd time (yep!) and listen very closely. Be where your boots are. Take notes. Reflect. Share it with someone on your team or in your life who needs to hear this message. The lesson arrived abruptly in a boardroom in Battle Creek. After months of analysis, charts, and market data, the president of Kellogg's cereal division looked up and said, “That's all interesting. I just don't know what to do with it,” Dean Neese tells us. The comment landed hard. It forced him to confront a blind spot early in his consulting career: insight without action is inert.Neese and his team went back, rebuilt the presentation, and returned a week later with clear recommendations tied directly to decisions, he tells us. That moment rewired how he communicates to this day. Every deck now starts with the message and earns credibility with data, not the other way around. That discipline carried forward as Neese moved from consulting into operating roles. At DocuSign, he chose to run both corporate development and integration so there would be no ambiguity about outcomes, he tells us. Strategy, in his view, only becomes real when someone owns the consequences. Living and working overseas reinforced that belief, teaching him that even the best analysis fails if it ignores cultural context, he tells us.Today, as CFO of Placer.ai, Neese applies those lessons through capital allocation. He often asks to see the budget before the strategy document because “where you're spending the money” reveals true priorities, he tells us. Drawing on research involving 400 executives, he points out that top performers make roughly twice as many major decisions each year as underperformers, he tells us.From a single uncomfortable moment at Kellogg's to scaling a data-driven company, Neese's career reflects a consistent principle: finance creates value when it accelerates decisions, clarifies tradeoffs, and turns insight into action.

This should not have been complicated. Villa allowed it to be.Knowing a win would guarantee a top-two finish and second-leg home advantage in the Europa League knockouts, Aston Villa approached the Salzburg game with management in mind. For too long, that drifted into passivity. The first half lacked tempo and bite. Defensive concentration wavered and a young, fearless Salzburg side were given encouragement they should not have had. Villa looked like a team trying to coast a European night that demanded focus. The second half changed when Villa did. 2-0 down and the tempo lifted, intent sharpened, and the physical and technical gap finally told. Once Villa switched on, control followed quickly and the outcome that mattered was secured. This post-mortem looks at where Villa misjudged the night, why youth and energy became decisive, and how fine the margins are in Europe when game management slips into over-management.Villa got what they needed. Most investors never question the structure they're investing in. They accept tight assumptions, back-end-heavy returns, and illiquidity as the price of access, assuming the payout will arrive before anything goes wrong. But when timing slips, liquidity tightens, or markets shift, those assumptions become traps. The deal didn't fail because the idea was bad. It failed because it never paid the investor enough to wait. Irwin Boris has spent decades operating on the other side of that equation. After more than $5 billion in deal flow, he learned to treat any model that needs to be "screwed down" to make the return work as a warning sign, not an opportunity. His approach prioritizes downside discipline, visible cash flow, and structures that don't depend on exits arriving on schedule. Instead of betting on appreciation or future liquidity events, he focuses on assets that pay along the way and remain viable even when conditions change. In this episode, we talk about understanding where risk actually lives, why backend-dependent strategies quietly corner investors, and how disciplined capital positions itself in assets that don't require perfect timing to survive.   About the Guest  Irwin Boris is a speaker and SVP of Acquisitions and Investor Relations at Heritage Capital Group. It's not just a physique strategy but also an appetite strategy. In this finale of our 8-part appetite series, you'll learn why body recomp avoids the hunger cascade that derails most fat loss attempts. Discover my Recomp Ladder framework that prioritizes your levers in the right order.Get 3 ready-to-use body recomp plans: aggressive maintenance for efficiency-focused recomp, small deficit recomp for faster results without hunger, and the build-then-mini-cut approach for breaking plateaus. You'll also learn who recomp works best for (hint: if you're over 40 with an inconsistent lifting history, you're in the sweet spot), the 5 most common recomp pitfalls, and a simple 2-metric check to know if your recomp is actually working (no scale weight required).Timestamps:0:00 - Do you actually need a deficit to lose fat?  3:20 - What body recomp really means (and what it's not) 5:22 - Recomp as an appetite management strategy 7:10 - 3 reasons recomp works better after 40 11:32 - Who body recomp works best for 14:43 - When recomp gets harder (and what to do instead) 15:53 - Appetite support during recomp 18:05 - The Recomp Ladder (5 levels) 21:42 - 3 specific plans for body recomp 25:04 - 5 common recomp mistakes and how to fix them 30:35 - Bonus: Quick 2-metric body recomp check (hint: NOT the scale)Support the show

In this episode, we dive deep into the evolving relationship between human creativity and artificial intelligence. Inspired by Ada Lovelace's early vision of creative machines, we explore how the boundaries between expertise and common sense have been reshaped by modern AI, from expert systems to today's generative models. We sit down with pioneers and practitioners—Vasant Dhar, a longtime AI researcher and author of Thinking With Machines; Christopher Mims, technology journalist and author of How To AI; and the creators of Tachi AI, Aden Bahadori and Brett Granstaff—to discover how AI is shifting not only what we make but how we make it.We unpack the promise and the pitfalls of treating AI as a true thinking partner, not just a tool for automation. Our guests share practical strategies for using AI to augment creative work, streamline tedious tasks, and enhance idea generation—while emphasizing the necessity of human framing, expertise, and judgment. Whether you're a leader, designer, marketer, or filmmaker, we reveal why using AI thoughtfully is the real competitive edge in creative fields and business.Five Key Learnings:AI's Compounding Edge: Utilizing AI consistently and benchmarking progress gives creatives and teams a multiplying advantage—not by replacing human originality, but by amplifying it through incremental improvements.Framing Questions Matter: The ability to ask the right, nuanced questions remains fundamentally human, and is essential when using AI as a partner in ideation, research, and strategy.Context and Expertise Are Critical: Experts benefit most from AI—leveraging their knowledge to dig deeper, validate outputs, and push beyond generic solutions, while ensuring originality in their work.AI as Scaffolding, Not a Substitute: The greatest value of AI today is in reducing friction and clearing time for creativity—whether it's summarizing information, managing knowledge, or prepping film edits—so humans can focus on what matters.Human-Centric, Supportive AI: Tools like Tachi AI demonstrate that supporting creativity is more transformative than automating it; AI as infrastructure enables faster iteration and more creative decision-making, not just higher productivity.Get full interviews and bonus content for free! They are positioned. In this podcast episode, I break down why introverts are uniquely equipped to lead systems-level change right now and how your natural way of thinking, observing, and working is a professional leverage point, not a limitation. If you're an introverted social worker, case manager, or systems thinker who feels overlooked, underestimated, or pressured to perform like the loudest person in the room, this conversation is for you. In this episode, I explain in plain language: • What professional leverage points are and why they matter in today's job market • Why introversion is a strategic advantage in macro social work and systems change • How observation, pattern recognition, and depth of thinking create real career momentum • Why employers are quietly shifting away from charisma and toward substance • How introverts naturally build high-trust relationships that drive funding, partnerships, and impact • Why focused execution and depth of work lead to visibility and advancement • How to stop treating your introversion like something you need to fix • How to prepare now for macro roles without overcorrecting or burning out I also talk about the broader shift happening across social media, nonprofits, government, and mission-driven organizations and why authentic, thoughtful systems focused social workers are becoming more valuable as surface-level noise increases. This is not an “introverts vs extroverts” conversation. It's about alignment, timing, and leverage. If you've ever felt like your ideas are ahead of the room but you're unsure how to position yourself, this episode will help you see your strengths clearly and use them on purpose. We are just weeks away from opening my new IMPACT-X Performance facility in San Diego, CA. And one of the most important things from the start is creating an amazing culture. We did it at Fitness Quest 10. And we'll do it again. In today's episode of the IMPACT SHOW podcast, I'm going ALL-IN on why culture is the ultimate performance advantage—and why it will always outperform strategy, systems, or talent alone. This isn't theory or buzzwords. This is real-time leadership straight from the trenches as we prepare to open IXP-San Diego from the ground up (literally!). I'm sharing exactly what it takes to build a world-class culture from Day One, the mistakes that leaders sometimes make that can quietly destroy an organization, and the non-negotiable standards that high-performing teams must live by every single day to build, grow, and sustain an iconic culture. If you're a leader, coach, gym owner, or business owner who wants stronger teams, deeper loyalty, and an even more long-lasting impact—this episode is for YOU. Here are just a few things you'll learn in Episode 463: Why culture always beats strategy (and determines whether plans live or die). The biggest leadership mistakes that can silently destroy culture. Why you don't get the culture you want—you get the culture you lead and tolerate Real examples from world-class brands like Ritz-Carlton, Nordstrom, Chick-fil-A, Disney, Amazon, and more… How to define and live out a clear brand promise. The IMPACT-X Performance Culture Standards, including these 5 credos: o Be the Light – bringing energy, belief, and encouragement into every interaction o People First, Always – seeing the person before the protocol o Own the Experience – if it happens in our building, it's our responsibility o Energy Is a Skill – we don't wait for it, we choose it o Excellence Is the Baseline – good is never good enough                                                      o Leave a Legacy – every interaction is a chance to change a life 3-critical culture rules every leader must enforce: Why one wrong hire with the wrong energy can undo years of great work…and how to prevent it through our proven hiring process. Why it is that two organizations that have the same strategy, the same talent, and even the same resources—one can thrive and excel…while the other slowly falls apart and dies. How culture compounds—for better or worse. Get it RIGHT from the start! Remember my friends, culture is not a mission statement hanging on a wall or a list of values buried on a website. It's not what you say when things are easy or when business is booming. Culture is revealed under pressure. It shows up in how your team treats each other when no one is watching, how they respond when things go wrong, and how your clients and members feel the moment they walk through the door—and the moment they leave. Culture doesn't improve just because time passes or systems change. It improves when leadership improves. You don't get the culture you hope for or wish for—you get the culture you lead, model, and tolerate every single day. So here's the challenge. Don't wait until energy drops, turnover rises, or cracks start to show before you address culture. Start now. Take a hard look at the standards you're enforcing, the behaviors you're allowing, and the energy you're bringing into every room you walk into. Have the conversations you've been avoiding. Reinforce the standards that matter most. And remember—culture starts with you.  If this episode spoke to you, share it with your team, talk about it in your next meeting, and commit to building a culture that's intentional, aligned, and world-class. Because when you lead culture the right way, everything else—performance, loyalty, and impact—follows.  Please do me a favor and do 1 (or all 3) of the following things: 1. At a certain level of expertise, more effort stops being the differentiator. Proximity becomes the lever that accelerates opportunity. If you've ever wondered why some experts seem to attract opportunities effortlessly while others work twice as hard for half the traction, this episode will connect the dots. The key factor is rarely how good you are, how much experience you have, or how well positioned your authority is – it's the environment they are operating in. In episode 475 of Amplify Your Success podcast, I break down why experts inside collaborative communities like curated masterminds and The Rising Tide Collective have a powerful and often overlooked advantage. We explore how opportunities actually move in the market, why visibility accelerates through trust amongst connections, which activates an unfair advantage that no amount of solo effort can replicate. This conversation is not about networking harder or joining more groups (especially the free online FB groups that become overly saturated.) It's about understanding how aligned communities can create shared visibility, compound credibility, and open doors that are difficult to access alone. If you are an expert who wants more referrals, higher-level conversations, and opportunities that feel aligned rather than forced, this episode will help you see what really creates traction at the next level.   Key Takeaways:  [00:00] Why opportunity is rarely about effort and more often about relationships with the right people. [02:41] How collaborative communities quietly accelerate trust and visibility. [04:58] The difference between being visible alone and being visible through shared momentum. [07:12] Why referrals and opportunities flow faster inside aligned communities. [09:36] How collaboration removes friction from visibility and relationship building. [12:04] Why many experts stall by trying to grow in isolation. [14:27] What makes a community expansive instead of an energetic drain. [17:10] How shared values and contribution create compound opportunity. [19:45] Why experts who win consistently are rarely doing it alone.   Resources Mentioned in This Episode: The Rising Tide Collective is an online community where experts and leaders come together to co-create visibility opportunities and aligned collaborations that lift everyone up. Each month you can participate in our signature mini-minds, a curated connection space, showcase your business, and gain access to tools to build powerful, profitable partnerships. Interview with Meredith Eades, President & CEO of EraNova MetalsRecording date: 23rd January 2026EraNova Metals represents a compelling asymmetric investment opportunity in the critical minerals sector, combining an advanced-stage molybdenum development project trading at a substantial discount to peers with emerging high-grade silver exploration upside that remains unrecognised by current valuation.Under newly appointed President and CEO Meredith Eades, EraNova has repositioned around a dual-path value creation strategy centred on its 30,000-hectare Ruby Creek property in British Columbia. The company's 433 million pound molybdenum resource benefits from $30 million in existing infrastructure, historical feasibility study and environmental approval, and simple metallurgy requiring straightforward processing. Working with engineering firm Tetra Tech to advance toward preliminary economic assessment, EraNova is updating project economics to reflect improving molybdenum market fundamentals with minimal additional drilling required due to comprehensive historical work. The valuation opportunity is striking. At approximately $10 million market capitalisation, investors acquire the Ruby Creek infrastructure at 33 cents on the dollar before accounting for the molybdenum resource itself. Trading at 2.5 cents per pound of molybdenum in-ground versus comparable developers at 5-35 cents, EraNova presents potential for 2-14x re-rating as the PEA demonstrates project economics and strategic partnership discussions advance. Management has confirmed active interest from potential partners exploring joint ventures, strategic partnerships, and offtake agreements—structures that could fund development whilst preserving shareholder value. The exploration dimension provides additional upside optionality currently ignored by market valuation. A 1,585-pound bulk sample from the Silver Surprise zone yielded a 14.3-ounce silver bar through simple crushing and gravity separation, with grades of 4,200 grams per tonne silver and 95% recoveries. Three parallel surface veins extending up to 180 metres offer compelling drill targets, whilst strengthening silver prices above $30 per ounce enhance the economics of potential direct shipping ore scenarios. This near-term revenue generation potential offers an anti-dilutive funding mechanism for continued exploration across seven distinct mineralised zones showing copper-gold-silver-tungsten potential.Management's capital structure and alignment merit investor attention. The operations manager and chief geologist both hold significant equity positions and work without cash compensation, ensuring decisions prioritise shareholder value creation. The autumn financing round came together efficiently with participation from both long-term shareholders and new investors, demonstrating market confidence in the strategic vision whilst maintaining the company's stated focus on execution and disciplined capital allocation. The macro backdrop supports both elements of EraNova's investment thesis. Molybdenum serves critical functions in high-strength steel alloys for infrastructure, pipelines, and construction, with emerging demand from offshore wind, nuclear power, and hydrogen infrastructure supporting steady price improvement. Government emphasis on domestic critical mineral production in stable jurisdictions enhances the strategic value of Canadian molybdenum supply. Simultaneously, silver benefits from monetary uncertainty, industrial demand growth, and supply constraints. For investors seeking exposure to critical minerals development with precious metals exploration leverage, EraNova presents compelling risk-reward at current valuation. The combination of near-term PEA catalyst, potential strategic partnership announcements, 2026 exploration results, and substantial valuation discount to peers creates multiple pathways for value recognition as the market adjusts to the company's repositioned focus and demonstrated progress on both development and exploration fronts.Learn more: https://cruxinvestor.comSign up for Crux Investor: https://cruxinvestor.com

A new Nutrients study shows that drinking 12 ounces of 100% elderberry juice daily for a week helped overweight adults activate more genes that regulate how the body uses energy after meals than a placebo Elderberry juice turned on processes that help the body manage energy better — making it easier to switch between burning carbohydrates and fat for fuel Earlier research from Washington State University showed elderberry juice improved blood sugar control, increased fat burning, and shifted energy use during meal challenges Practical tip: Aim for about 12 ounces of unsweetened, 100% elderberry juice daily for seven days. Check labels to avoid added sugars, as unsweetened juice still contains about 30 to 36 grams of natural sugar per eight-ounce serving Safety first: Never eat raw elderberries, check for medication interactions (such as immunosuppressants or diabetes drugs), and consult a healthcare provider before using if you are breastfeeding or have an autoimmune condition
