Ein Kommentar von Claudia Töpper.Am Donnerstag, den 26. Februar 2026 liefen in Genf noch die Verhandlungen zwischen dem Iran und den USA, die von beiden Seiten noch als erste Erfolge galten. Dennoch griff Israel, mit der Unterstützung der USA, am Samstagmorgen, den 28. Februar 2026 den Palast und offiziellen Amts- und Regierungssitz in Teheran des Obersten Führers der Islamischen Republik, Ayatollah Ali Chameneis an.(1) Hier soll Chamenei die Revolutionsgarden, den Geheimdienst und das Atomprogramm kontrolliert haben. Während Trump daraufhin bereits vom Tod des iranischen Führers redete, dementierte der Iran dies zunächst. In der Nacht von Samstag auf Sonntag gab der Iran jedoch bekannt, dass nicht nur sein Oberster Führer tot sei, sondern auch Mohammad Pakpour, Kommandeur des Korps der Islamischen Revolutionsgarden (IRGC), Abdolrahim Mussawi, Stabschef der Streitkräfte, Ali Shamkhani, Sekretär des iranischen Verteidigungsrates, Aziz Nasirzadeh, Minister für Verteidigung und Mohammad Shirazi, Leiter des Militärbüros.(2)Nun greift der Iran neben Israel auch sämtliche US-Militärstützpunkte in den Nachbarländern an.(3) Darunter befinden sich die US-Marinebasis Juffair in Bahrain, welche das Hauptquartier der 5. US-Flotte mit rund 9.000 Soldaten ist sowie Al-Udeid in Katar, die mit 10.000 Mann der größte US-Stützpunkt der Region ist.(4) Zusätzlich wurden die US-Militärstützpunkte in Doha/Katar, in Abu Dhabi/ Vereinte Arabische Emirate, sowie in Riad/Saudi-Arabien und Kuwait von den Iranern getroffen.(5) Auch eine britische Militärstation auf Zypern soll getroffen worden sein.(6)Des Weiteren soll eine iranische Drohne das Luxushotel Burj Al Arab in Dubai getroffen haben.(7) Zudem soll Dubai auch von abgeschossenen Raketenteilen getroffen worden sein.(8)Während eines Interviews mit ABC News betonte der iranische Außenminister, Abbas Araghtschi am Sonntag, dass„die militärische Leistungsfähigkeit seines Landes trotz personeller Verluste unvermindert sei.“Er bezeichnete das Vorgehen der USA als Akt der Aggression.(9) Der Iran hat während der Angriffe verkündet, die Verhandlungen mit den USA nicht mehr weiter zu führen.(10)Des Weiteren hat der Iran die Straße von Hormus nun vollständig gesperrt.(11) Somit gelangen keine Öltanker mehr hindurch. Die daraus resultierende Öl-Knappheit betrifft nicht nur Europa, sondern auch China und führt unter anderem zu einem erheblichen Anstieg der Benzin- und Dieselpreise.Während Beobachter davon ausgehen, dass die USA ihre militärischen Waffen zum größten Teil an die Ukraine verkauft haben und somit nicht länger als 10 Tage Krieg überleben wird, verkündet Trump, dass der Krieg gegen den Iran mindestens 4 Wochen andauern wird.(12)Am Samstag, den 28. Februar 2026 hat der israelische Ministerpräsident, Benjamin Netanyahu die iranische Bevölkerung dazu aufgerufen, das dortige Regime zu stürzen.(13) Diesen Aufruf unterstützt auch Reza Pahlavi, der Sohn des ehemaligen iranischen Schahs.(14)Nachdem der Tod von Chamenei offiziell von den iranischen Behörden verkündet wurde, trieb es am Sonntag, den 1. März 2026 viele Menschen im Iran in Trauer auf die Straße. Gleichzeitig demonstrierten sie gegen die Angriffe aus Israel und den USA. Datenschutz gilt überall, auch am Gericht. Doch wie genau setzen Richterinnen und Richter die Regeln um, wenn sie selbst täglich mit sensiblen Informationen arbeiten? Diese Frage steht im Mittelpunkt von Episode 151 des c't-Datenschutz-Podcasts. Redakteur Holger und heise-Justiziar Joerg sprechen dazu mit Kristin Benedikt. Sie ist Richterin an einem bayerischen Verwaltungsgericht, dort auch Datenschutzbeauftragte und Pressesprecherin. Zuvor leitete sie fünf Jahre lang den Bereich Internet beim Bayerischen Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht. Kristin erläutert zunächst die Grundlagen. Die DSGVO gilt für alle Gerichte, von Zivil- über Verwaltungs- bis zu Arbeitsgerichten. Nur die Strafjustiz unterliegt eigenen Regelungen. Als öffentliche Stellen stützen sich Gerichte auf die DSGVO-Rechtsgrundlagen der rechtlichen Verpflichtung und des öffentlichen Interesses. Das berechtigte Interesse, auf das sich Unternehmen oft berufen, steht ihnen nicht zur Verfügung. Eine Besonderheit macht die Sache kompliziert: Richter genießen verfassungsrechtlich garantierte Unabhängigkeit. Deshalb gibt es für ihre Tätigkeit keine Datenschutzaufsicht. Die DSGVO schließt in Art. 55 ausdrücklich aus, dass Aufsichtsbehörden Gerichte bei ihrer richterlichen Arbeit kontrollieren. Bußgelder gegen Richter? Ausgeschlossen. Das bedeutet allerdings nicht, dass Richter tun können, was sie wollen, betont Kristin. Sie müssen den Grundsatz der Datenminimierung beachten und dürfen nur Informationen erheben, die für ihre Entscheidung relevant sind. In der Praxis entstehen dabei Spannungen: Verwaltungsrichter müssen von Amts wegen ermitteln, wissen aber oft erst im Laufe des Verfahrens, welche Informationen sie wirklich brauchen, erläutert Kristin. Ein praktisches Problem schildert sie aus ihrem Alltag. Behörden schicken häufig komplette Akten ans Gericht, ohne vorher zu prüfen, welche Informationen darin wirklich relevant sind. Das Gericht muss diese Unterlagen dann den Verfahrensbeteiligten zugänglich machen - auch wenn sie Daten unbeteiligter Dritter enthalten. Hier sieht die Richterin die behördlichen Datenschutzbeauftragten in der Pflicht, für mehr Sensibilität zu sorgen. Betroffenenrechte gelten auch gegenüber Gerichten. Wer wissen will, welche Daten über ihn gespeichert sind, kann Auskunft verlangen. Allerdings gibt es Einschränkungen zum Schutz der Unabhängigkeit der Justiz und laufender Verfahren. Lösch- oder Berichtigungsansprüche laufen bei Gerichtsakten oft ins Leere - was einmal in einer Akte steht, lässt sich meist nicht einfach entfernen. Zum Schluss geht es um den Einsatz von KI am Gericht. Einen "Robo-Richter" lehnt Kristin strikt ab. Entscheidungen müssen ihrer Ansicht nach von Menschen vorbereitet und getroffen werden. Sinnvoll sei KI aber bei unterstützenden Aufgaben, etwa beim Anonymisieren von Urteilen oder in der Gerichtsverwaltung. Auch bei Übersetzungen oder der Aufbereitung großer Textmengen sieht sie Chancen, solange die Verantwortung klar beim Menschen bleibt.

This episode was recorded in Fort Wayne, Indiana, during the 2025 Tri-State Dairy Conference.Dr. Fessenden gives an overview of his presentation which covered both research and field information on automated milking systems. He recommends going back to basics and formulating a rumen-friendly PMR with a complementary palatable feed that encourages the cows into the robot system. (5:57)The panel discusses ideas for driving cows to the robot on different types of PMRs, management of transition and late lactation cows in automated milking systems, and the use of custom pellets versus other supplemental feeds in the robot. (9:04)Dr. Fessenden talks about some of his experiences visiting automated milking systems in Europe and some of the differences between European and North American approaches to diet formulations in automated systems. The group goes on to talk about different options for supplemental feed formulations in the robot. (18:38)Dr. Fessenden and Dr. Tylutki share ideas for how feeding technology could help both traditional and automated milking farms in the future. They discuss more precise grouping of cows and targeted feeding of those groups to better match requirements, as well as how movement to different pens and diet changes can impact milk production. (23:45) Dr. Tylutki updates the group on advancements in the AMTS balancing tools for multiple robot feeds. He and Dr. Fessenden describe the challenges of developing new tools that are streamlined and user-friendly for nutritionists. They also delve into the role artificial intelligence and machine learning might play in ration balancing in the future. (29:32)Dr. Fessenden encourages nutritionists to think outside the box when working with automated milking herds to make decisions that are right for that particular farm. Dr. Tylutki chimes in with advice to spend time actually watching the cows on the farm, and Dr. Van Soest echoes this sentiment when it comes to troubleshooting issues with the robots themselves. Don't just assume it's an issue with the ration - ask or observe for yourself what may have changed on the farm that could contribute to the issue the farm is facing. They begin the interview by acknowledging the accomplishments that President O'Brien and General Secretary-Treasurer Fred Zuckerman have helped their Union to achieve during their three years heading the organization. With 80,000 new members organized, great successes at the negotiating table including many of their best contracts ever like at UPS and Anheuser-Busch, an empowered rank-and-file membership that has waged over 250 strikes and led bargaining themselves against some of the world's largest employers, the O'Brien-Zuckerman administration has charted one of the most defining and positive chapters in Teamsters history. Next, Sean shares with the audience the Union's contract campaign with their 10,000 Teamsters aviation maintenance technicians (AMTs). They're fighting for a fair contract with United, who raked in over $4 billion dollars in profits last year, but is lowballing the Teamsters at the bargaining table. At the same time, the airline wants to outsource maintenance to communist China and South America. Sean explains how United Airlines Teamsters are ensuring safety in the skies, and that Teamster members will not accept anything less than a strong new contract with the industry-leading wages and job protections they have earned. Lastly, Leslie and Sean discuss how, following a credible strike threat, more than 1,000 newly organized drivers and warehouse workers at United Natural Foods Inc. (UNFI) in Florida, Georgia, and Illinois have ratified their first Teamsters contracts.
