Mary Beth Gonzalez was there to support her husband Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez, not just at work, but also at home. She saw his many triumphs, as well as his moments of difficulty. After his untimely death in 2015, she carefully found a way to restore his case reports, his various writings, and the framework of the Gonzalez Protocol® itself. It took six long years, but with a great team around her, she preserved the legacy of The Gonzalez Protocol®. And the best part is, I KNOW HER, and can refer to her as a friend! Patricia Daly is a nutritional therapist and ketogenic diet expert, specialising in cancer. Most of us have come across at least the basics of the ketogenic diet, but Patricia is able to provide updates and insights that add new layers to its application. Her own experience in both following and supporting people with the ketogenic diet is invaluable, alongside her collaborations with like-minded health professionals.Patricia explains about ketones and metabolic flexibility, the potential benefits of a ketogenic diet, when you would avoid a ketogenic diet and useful tests to help you figure this out, and some practicalities along the way.Patricia first came to the diet when she had cancer herself, and refers to this when describing the “privilege of witnessing the transformation of people who come to me”:“I started my journey in the boot of the car. I didn't even know, I didn't want to know what they were going to do to me. Then I moved to sort of the child seat and then to passenger, until I had enough and started to drive. So that's basically what I love to see in my clients as well, that's people leaving from the boot to the driving seat.”--Join us at the IHCAN Summit 2023 live in London on Saturday 24 June.June's Summit will open eyes to the true power of nutritional medicine. We don't treat cancer, but we can offer the finest personalised nutrition support for people WITH cancer thanks to Mary Beth Gonzalez and Prof Sarper Diler from The Nicholas Gonzalez Foundation. It's infuriating that commercial medicine fails to acknowledge published evidence that integrative health approaches pioneered by Dr Josef Issels, Dr Max Gerson, Dr William Kelley and Dr Nicholas Gonzalez, among others, are effective at curing people with cancer. The late Dr Gonzalez developed a protocol that succeeds, to this day, in bringing cancer patients – even those with pancreatic cancer – into long-term remission, and we're lucky to have two advocates from the sharp end of nutrition-based treatment to inspire us with case histories and protocols showing just how powerful “our” methods can be.Book your ticket at ihcansummit.co.uk.--The IHCAN magazine Podcast is provided for professional education and debate and is not intended to be used by non-medically qualified individuals as a substitute for, or basis of, medical treatment.

It was a true honor to have Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez on the show today. We've been very familiar with his work for a number of years now so it was a real joy to have him on so he could share his cutting edge research with all of you. He's the author of a number of books and his website is http://www.dr-gonzalez.com which contains lots of really helpful information. He's known for treating people with pancreatic cancer (which happens to be one of the more dangerous varieties of cancer and one of the most difficult to treat) but he also sees patients with all forms of cancer among other health challenges. He was saying on the show that he's been seeing a lot of women lately with breast cancer. It's interesting because I asked my conventional doctor about 13 years ago where cancer came from and why there seems to be so many younger people diagnosed these days. His answer was that we don't know where cancer comes from and the reason why "it seems" like cancer is more prevalent these days is that there are more people and we have the internet so news spreads fast. He does have a couple of points there. The sheer number of people in a population will create more diagnosis of cancer and yes the internet does make information more instant and wide spread. So those two things do have merit (in my opinion) but the fact that he said we don't know where cancer comes from is either a complete lie or total ignorance of the science. Even Otto Warhburg said in the 1920's that when a cell is deprived of 30% less oxygen for a specific amount of time, the cell then starts the process of differentiation which could lead to cancer. How could my doctor not know this? Well there are many reasons but the main reason in my opinion is that he's been completely brain washed and indoctrinated to the fullest degree. When you listen to a man who's on the cutting edge like Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez, you can tell that he knows what he's talking about and he's doing amazing things helping people all over the world heal naturally from advanced and even late stage cancers. We talked about how certain people have specific dietary requirements and not all people can heal from cancer eating one specific diet. Some people need red meat where as other people need to be completely vegetarian. He can do specific blood test to determine what type of diet would help you thrive and heal. Even if you don't have cancer it would be extremely helpful to know what types of foods you should be eating. If you're a genetic carnivore and you eat raw vegan you could be doing your body some damage. Or what if you're a genetic vegan and you consume meat on a regular basis? Don't you think you could be doing your body lots of damage? Dr. Gonzalez is the first person who's come on the show with a wide open view and approach to diet. Personally I think people's dietary and nutritional needs change all the time. They can changed based upon stress factors, life style factors, age, ancestry, illness, gender and even time of day if you're familiar with the work of Atom Bergstrom and his work with Chronobiotic Nutrition. If you know of anybody with advanced cancer or even any time of cancer, please like and share this page with them if you can! Megan and Wendy are back today with another Girls Gone Hallmark bonus podcast episode! Listen as they recap and review Playing Cupid starring Laura Vandervoot and Nicholas Gonzalez. Email the show at meganandwendy@gmail.com. What did you like about Playing Cupid? News and Notes for Playing Cupid Sources report that Playing Cupid was filmed in Vancouver and Langley, British Columbia. We're seeing a disappointing trend that there isn't a ton of social media coverage from the actors and producers from the movies in the Love Ever After line up. What's happening here? We want behind-the-scenes, we want 14-day quarantine stories, we want on-set photos and we want location photos! What is Playing Cupid About? Hallmark Channel promoted Playing Cupid as a modern day re-telling of Jane Austen's Emma. Yes, Mia Quaranta De La Rosa who plays Clara does act as a Emma-type matchmaker for her fellow students and inevitably (spoiler alert!) for her dad and teacher. The book Playing Cupid by Jenny Meyerhoff also inspired the script for this movie. Buy it here (it's recommended for 8-12 year old readers and has 5 stars on Amazon). Mentioned in this Episode Anya Taylor-Joy is a Golden Globe double nominee for her roles in Emma (2020) and The Queen's Gambit. Clueless (1995) is recognized as one of the most popular, contemporary re-tellings of Jane Austen's Emma. This article compares the two. Mentioned in this Episode Anya Taylor-Joy is a Golden Globe double nominee for her roles in Emma (2020) and The Queen's Gambit.Clueless (1995) is recognized as one of the most popular, contemporary re-tellings of Jane Austen's Emma. This article compares the two. Hallmark Channel's Spring Fling Movies We are excited to announce that we'll be reviewing Hallmark's Spring Fling movies! Did you see the line up yet? We're looking forward to - friend of the show - Julie Sherman Wolfe's Right in Front of Me. See the entire Spring Fling line up here. Missed the Countdown to Christmas reviews? Mary Beth Gonzalez is the widow of Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez. She founded The Nicholas Gonzalez Foundation a few months after Dr. Gonzalez died in 2015. She is the Publisher of New Spring Press and has just released Dr. Gonzalez’s biography by Mary Swander - The Maverick M.D. Mary Beth proudly carries the torch for her late husband so that Dr. Gonzalez’s legacy of healing through nutrition is accessible to the world. She is motivated by his enduring love for his patients and by her sincere belief in his protocol. It is her love for him and her faith in his brilliance that drives her to ensure that his protocol remains available to all who seek to heal through nutrition. In this episode, Mary Beth explains how Dr. Gonzalez used metabolic typing to help determine the protocols for his patients. This dictated not only the best diet for the patient but also the correct supplements needed to balance their health. Mary beth herself has been on The Gonzalez Protocol® for preventative health since her third date with Dr. Gonzalez back in 2000.

She is the former Poet Laureate of Iowa and a professor emerita Distinguished Professor of Iowa State University. Mary is the Artistic Director of Swander Woman Productions, a theatre troupe that performs dramas about food, farming, and the wider rural environment. She is also the Executive Director of AgArts, a nonprofit designed to imagine and promote healthy food systems through the arts. Her latest book is The Maverick M.D.: Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez and His Fight for a New Treatment for Cancer (New Spring Press). The Maverick M.D. is the story of how Dr. Nick Gonzalez perfected the scientific theory behind Dr. William Kelley's work and put the protocol into practice in New York City. Gonzalez drew courage from his Christian faith, from Mexican-Italian-American family, and from key loved ones, colleagues and mentors. He spent years treating patients with the most serious conditions--from cancer to diabetes to lupus. But he wasn't satisfied as an outlier in the medical community. He wanted his work put to the test with a clinical trial. This book portrays a man who fought for the acceptance of a nutritional cancer treatment in the halls of some of the most established U.S. medical institutions. Against intense opposition, Nick Gonzalez's determination held up until the end--a scientist who developed a therapy that saves lives and promotes the healing of the human mind, body and spirit. ***Resources Mentioned*** Mary Swander Swander Woman Productions Agarts: Imagine a healthy food system New Spring Press Nutricology Pancreas Pork Natural Glandular Capsules Nutricology ImmoPlex Natural Glandulars The Nicholas Gonzalez Foundation The Maverick MD *** In This Episode: Ryan takes a candid look at Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez’s life and “the man behind the suit” in the discussion with his biographer, Mary Swander. Mary Swander The Maverick M.D. – Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez, and His Fight for a New Cancer Treatment Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez died unexpectedly on July 21, 2015. If he were alive today… We believe he would be smiling from ear to ear. We believe he would be thrilled that so many people like yourself are interested in learning about The Gonzalez Protocol®. We believe he would be pleased at the progress our small, non-profit foundation has made to secure his legacy and the future availability of his nutritional protocol. We know that without Dr. Gonzalez himself here to drive this work forward, his groundbreaking protocols are in danger of fading into oblivion like the brilliant work of his mentors Dr. William Donald Kelley and Dr. John Beard. Prior to his passing, Dr. Gonzalez meticulously documented the scientific theory of his work and proved its effectiveness. He believed that Nature is a Friend and not the Enemy. He published several books and recorded hundreds of hours of interviews and lectures. He wrote more than 120 in-depth patient cancer case studies — the result of a lifetime of research and groundbreaking patient care — case studies that would publicly legitimize a whole new approach to nothing less than curing cancer. All kinds of cancer. About Mary Swander: Mary Swander is the Artistic Director of Swander Woman Productions, a theatre troupe that performs dramas about food, farming, and the wider rural environment. She is also the Executive Director of AgArts, a nonprofit designed to imagine and promote healthy food systems through the arts. Her latest book is a collection of essays on her interactions with her Amish neighbors, called Adeste Fideles in Chinese, from Route 3 Press. The former Poet Laureate of Iowa, Swander is an award-winning author who has been given grants from the National Endowment for the Arts to the Whiting Foundation. She has published scores of books of poetry and nonfiction as well as essays, magazine articles, individual poems and radio commentaries in such places as National Public Radio, The Nation, The New York Times Magazine, and Poetry Magazine. She is best known for her poetry book Driving the Body Back and for her memoirs Out of this World and The Desert Pilgrim. Show highlights: Mary starts the show talking about some problems in farming Mary was a patient of Dr. Gonzalez for 20 years; He completely got rid of her fibroid uterine tumors The biggest lifestyle change he recommended; vegetarian diets don’t work for all patients Mary Swander was so curious to understand how an Ivy League trained doctor found the more alternative path Mary explains Dr. Gonzalez’ basic program The patients with the most success followed the program in detail Why coffee enemas are so important in the program

The Coast Guard Years Podcast Introduction: Hi and welcome to Gonzo, The Coast Guard Years Podcast. My name is Nicholas Gonzalez, and my Dad, Tim Gonzalez, well he's Gonzo, at least that's what his Coast Guard friends that I met call him. Seems that nicknames stuck for life. This Podcast is about my Dad's, time in the Coast Guard from October 1987 to May 1992. The hope of this podcast is to shed a little light on what it was like to be in the US Coast Guard, prior to 9/11. It's not a recruiting tool, nor a pitch to join up or even an attempt to glamorize it at all. Although if you find that you're interested in knowing more about the Coast Guard, feel free to put a question in the comments section. We will do our best to respond. Hopefully you will find this both entertaining and informative, the stories you're going to hear are not usually spoken about publicly, or at least not outside of your local Coast Guard Watering hole. Please keep in my mind that these “tales” are being told from my Dad's point of view, and not everyone will share his views but maybe relate, just a little bit. “OH, and some of the names you're going to hear along the way, well they've been changed, not so much to protect the innocent. Just the story that they are in may end up being a little embarrassing and they wouldn't necessarily want anyone else to know about their involvement. Oh, while we drink. Christmas Belle stars Haylie Duff and Nicholas Gonzalez. Haylie’s character, Belle Everheart, a realtor whose job is made to seem far more involved by having her additionally moonlight as a rare book dealing estate cataloguist. In a poor attempt at a modern, live-action Beauty & the Beast, she is sent away to a large estate to meet Hunter Lowell, a grouchy commodities broker, who mentally abuses Belle and his entire mansion staff as a result of his death-riddled past. Circumstances cause a sudden 180 and Hunter magically (not to us) realizes that Belle is all he could ever need in a lifelong partner, asking her to marry him after a rocky three-day courtship. The two overcome several obstacles including a jealous non-boyfriend, lazy business owning father and supervising mansion Christmas décor which culminates in a Christmas dance and everlasting love. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

Nutritional expert Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez has surveyed dairy as a way to nourish our brain and given us his recommendations. They include whole milk, especially raw milk, along with raw cheese and butter from grass-fed cows. In fact, he tells us the right kind of butter can actually make us smarter.
The right kind of meat can not only nourish our brain but also help protect against heart disease and cancer. That’s the bottom line from Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez, a nationally-known nutritional expert, and we have the details on why he’s said so.
Coconut oil may be a surprising choice as brain food, but our nutrition expert, Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez, ranked it one of the most important saturated fats we should have in our diet every day. In fact, he told us that it can literally help save our brain.
A look at why fruits and vegetables are critically important to the health of the brain, and two essential minerals they contain. Which mineral are you most likely to have a deficiency in? The regimen also includes prescribed diets, nutritional supplements, and coffee enemas (seeQuestion 1). The Gonzalez regimen is based on the theory that pancreatic enzymes help the body get rid of toxins (harmful substances) that lead to cancer (see Question 3). In an early small study of Dr. Gonzalez's patients with advanced pancreatic cancer, he reported that patients on his regimen lived longer than most people with the same type of cancer (see Question 6). A later nonrandomized, controlled clinical trial compared the effectiveness of standard treatment with that of the Gonzalez regimen in patients whose pancreatic cancer could not be removed by surgery. Patients treated with standard chemotherapy survived an average of 14 months and patients treated with the Gonzalez regimen survived only an average of 4.3 months. In addition, patients treated with chemotherapy reported a better quality of life than those treated with the Gonzalez regimen (see Question 6). Kaayla Daniel, also known as the Naughty Nutritionist, talks to me this week about how to recover from soy. Yes, I said recover, because soy is not a health food, but damages our health in many ways. We’re also going to talk about her new book about bone broths called Nourishing Broth, on which she is collaborating with Sally Fallon Morell. Transcript Click here to view the full transcript for #39 Recovering from Soy with Kaayla Daniel. Soy is not a health food. It should be avoided completely or eaten only on rare occasions and in fermented forms. The soybean is now being linked to breast cancer, thyroid disease, menstrual and fertility issues, as well as severe allergies, compromised immunity and brain damage. SOY DANGERS SUMMARIZED High levels of phytic acid in soy reduce assimilation of calcium, magnesium, copper, iron and zinc. Phytic acid in soy is not neutralized by ordinary preparation methods such as soaking, sprouting and long, slow cooking. High phytate diets have caused growth problems in children. Trypsin inhibitors in soy interfere with protein digestion and may cause pancreatic disorders. In test animals, soy containing trypsin inhibitors caused stunted growth. Soy phytoestrogens disrupt endocrine function and have the potential to cause infertility and to promote breast cancer in women. Soy phytoestrogens are potent antithyroid agents that cause hypothyroidism and may cause thyroid cancer. In infants, consumption of soy formula has been linked to autoimmune thyroid disease. Vitamin B12 analogs in soy are not absorbed and actually increase the body’s requirement for B12. Soy foods increase the body’s requirement for vitamin D. Soy infant formula can cause lifelong allergies, autoimmune thyroid disease, asthma, and attention deficit disorder. Fragile proteins are deformed during high temperature processing to make soy protein isolate and textured vegetable protein, making them very difficult to digest. Processing of soy protein results in the formation of toxic lysinoalanine and highly carcinogenic nitrosamines. Free glutamic acid or MSG, a potent neurotoxin, is formed during soy food processing and additional amounts are added to many soy foods. Soy foods contain high levels of aluminum that is toxic to the nervous system and the kidneys. Soy HEALTH PROBLEMS SUMMARIZED Thyroid problems: including weight gain, lethargy, depression, fatigue, hair loss, and loss of libido Premature puberty Weight gain Estrogen Dominance Syndrome Developmental delays and problems in babies, children, and adolescents Asthma Causes and exacerbates endometriosis Cancer Brain damage, reducing production of new brain cells Dementia Reproductive disorders Reduced Fertility Kidney stones Weakened immune system Severe food allergies Man boobs and reduced sex drive in men About Kaayla Daniel Kaayla T. Dana Laake and her guest Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez will be discussing the Gonzalez approach to cancer. Nicholas J. Gonzalez, M.D., graduated from Brown University, Phi Beta Kappa, magna cum laude, with a degree in English Literature. He subsequently worked as a journalist, first at Time Inc., before pursuing premedical studies at Columbia. He then received his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College in 1983. During a postgraduate immunology fellowship under Dr. Robert A. Good, considered the father of modern immunology, he completed a research study evaluating an aggressive nutritional therapy in the treatment of advanced cancer. Since 1987, Dr. Gonzalez has been in private practice in New York City, treating patients diagnosed with cancer and other serious degenerative illnesses. His nutritional research has received substantial financial support from Procter & Gamble, Nestle, and the National Cancer Institute. Results from a pilot study published in 1999 described the most positive data in the medical literature for pancreatic cancer.
Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez returns to the show to share his new book What Went Wrong: The Truth Behind the Clinical Trial of the Enzyme Treatment of Cancer.
Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez, the author of One Man Alone: An Investigation of Nutrition, Cancer, and William Donald Kelley, discusses Kelley Therapy - a fascinating nutritional paradigm for healing degenerative diseases.
