In New Jersey, the "Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Questionnaire" is being forced on parents of newborns! Seriously? A mother in Deerfield, Illinois, has revealed that school officials forced young girls to change into their gym clothes in front of a trans-identified male student. This situation is worse than it sounds, and we share stories of young women and men whose images were added to AI images of porn and distributed widely, in one case leading to suicide. The TAKE IT DOWN Act is the result. An important show!

Moomtaz Khatoon is a short documentary about a gender fluid non-binary activist of Indian descent who grew up in Africa. When she was growing up in Africa, she used to play with girls wearing a veil as she imagined being one of the girls. Nobody said anything to her, that it was wrong. She was just having fun. Until she came to Canada. She was nine years old when she came to Canada. As school people started calling her sissy and girly and she got bullied and bashed in school. She got asked if she liked boys and if she was gay? When she hit puberty, she became very stocky and hairy. So she learned to hide her gender identity and became very ashamed of it.It wasn't until she started studying counseling when she ran into youth during who said they were non-binary. That gave her permission to start coming out of the closet and start exploring her gender identity. With the recent backlash against trans identity the Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI), Moomtaz has become very worried about South Asian Parents organizing against teaching SOGI in schools. Trans people have always been a part of our culture. The Quran event recognizes Trans identity. There have always been queer and trans characters in the Hindu scriptures as well. She thinks it's important for parents to understand why children growing up should have proper education so they can better understand sexuality and make informed choices about their gender Identity.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/faith-love-trust--3493635/support.
Rev. Trudy and Rev. Brittany are back in the video studio to continue the discussion on Imago Dei – what it means to be made in the image of God, celebrating the vast diversity of God’s children. This week, they unpack the story of the eunuch who gets baptized in Acts 8:26-40 to examine gender identity and sexual orientation. It’s a scripture that isn’t talked about much but holds a lot of power, especially as we look toward those believers who continue to be unwelcomed by churches despite their desire to grow closer to God and do good for the world. Join the female pastors for this digital Bible study that includes insights into: The cultural and religious significance of Acts 8:26-40 How this scripture (and others!) opens the connection to the Holy Spirit for all people Language surrounding identity and sexual orientation, including: gender identity, gender expression, transgender, sex, gender, and sexual orientation How experiencing others who are very different from us can change us for the better It’s a conversation that’s full of different angles, terms, and ideas to consider. To help continue the discovery, the pastors invite you to discuss the following questions with your friends and family – or with our community at our in-person Convergence group or our online Patreon group: What are you still seeking to understand? In this episode, Wendy Sellers, The HR lady, delves into the recent announcements from the White House that could significantly impact HR operations. She clarifies the distinction between affirmative action and broader Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) efforts, debunking the misconception that diversity initiatives are banned. Exploring the changes in government policy, Wendy explains the revocation of an executive order from 1965 concerning federal contractors and affirmative action. Despite these shifts, key laws like Title VII of the Civil Rights Act remain unchanged, ensuring protection against employment discrimination. Wendy emphasizes the importance of fostering inclusive environments through DEI, focusing on skill development, unbiased hiring practices, and supportive work environments. She highlights that discrimination based on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity is still unlawful, regardless of political opinions. Stay updated with Wendy as she continues to unravel the complexities of recent legislative updates affecting the workplace.

This week, we explore the world of non-monogamous relationships, focusing on the trends of polygamy and polyamory. In our conversation, we dissect the cultural and religious contexts of these practices, noting how polygamy is often associated with religious traditions, typically involving one man with multiple wives. Despite some attempting to justify it with biblical references, we argue that such arrangements stray from God's intended design for marriage. On the other hand, polyamory has gained visibility through cultural shifts and celebrity endorsements, encompassing romantic, emotional, and sexual relationships among three or more people, regardless of gender. We also tackle the controversial topic of whether polyamory should be classified as a sexual orientation, presenting a perspective that challenges this notion. We navigate the complexities of blurred relationship boundaries, where polyamory often emerges unintentionally in relationships. We compare this with the more structured approach of polygamy, exploring how cultural changes have influenced these dynamics. The discussion highlights the evolving language of relationships, such as the increasing use of the term "partner" over traditional titles. We differentiate between polyamory and open relationships, emphasizing the role of consent and commitment structures. Through real-world experiences and the challenges faced by individuals, particularly in Christian communities, we provide insights into how families grapple with these evolving relationship norms and prepare for their complexities.TIMESTAMPS:(00:19) - Exploring Polygamy vs. Polyamory Trends(10:33) - Differences in Polygamy and Polyamory(18:19) - Navigating Blurred Relationship BoundariesJoin us weekly as we strive help people embrace God's standard for sexuality! Today's show opens my unplanned and off-the-cuff comments about the turmoil happening in the UK. I fear the issues we are seeing on the streets of the UK related to Islamists is going to happen here. This leads to my thoughts on assimilation and legal immigration. The next topic deals with some of the issues happening in Georgia regarding voter integrity and fraud. While the Georgia Election Commission is passing new policies to protect the vote, a forensic investigation into the 2020 vote in Fulton County, led by Joe Rossi, shows serious issues, including duplicate counts that could not have happened by mistake. We then need to spend more time today exploring the background of Governor Tim Walz. We remind you that Democrat Mayor of Minneapolis, Jacob Frey, begged Walz to bring in the National Guard in the 2020 riots, but it took more than three days. Walz also lied about the cognitive condition of Joe Biden and then lied to CNN about their desire to fast-track a change to the DNC ticket. Continuing to dig, we discover Walz does not believe in free speech. As to abortion, he not only believes in killing a baby who is about to be born, but also, if it is accidentally born, can still be killed. His abortion stance is so radical, even Speaker Nancy Pelosi asked him to tone it down, to which he refused. Governor Walz also signed into a law a new definition of “Sexual Orientation.” This version removes the prior language that protected children from adults. In Walz's world, pedophilia, I mean, being a Minor Attracted Person, is totally okay. We also know Walz is anti-2nd Amendment. He even stated that the weapons of war he used when he was at war should not be on the streets. Wait! What was that? He said he was in war? JD Vance takes serious issue to that stolen valor comment. In fact, in fairness to the VP picks, I then bring you some Vance quotes as he is totally comfortable fielding questions from the Legacy/mainstream media. He even asks them why they aren't more upset that Kamala Harris refuses to talk to them or answer questions? Speaking of Harris and the campaign, an Instagram whistleblower revealed her campaign is trying to pay people to endorse her, without them saying they were being paid. That's a no-no. Even CBS Evening News did a report on this. Finally, to show what a total fraud she is, we look at the staged video of her call to Gov. Walz, asking him to be her running mate. It is so bad, you can even tell they are reading their lines from their phones. Take a moment to rate and review the show and then share the episode on social media. On this episode of “Quality Matters” with host Andy Reynolds, we explore the vital role of Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI) data in healthcare. Our expert guests, Kellan Baker, Executive Director of the Whitman-Walker Institute, and Dr. Carl Streed, a primary care physician at Boston University, share why SOGI data are essential for delivering personalized health care interventions and improving overall health outcomes. Understanding sexual orientation and gender identity alongside other demographic variables like race and ethnicity is crucial for providing comprehensive and inclusive care. Emphasizing the importance of building trust within healthcare settings, our guests discuss how fostering a trustworthy environment encourages the sharing of sensitive SOGI information, which is vital for patient care quality. The conversation addresses the challenges the current political climate poses and its potential negative impacts on LGBTQ health. We highlight the necessity of robust privacy protections to prevent the misuse of SOGI data and the role of the entire healthcare team in safeguarding this information. Additionally, we share insights into new resources from the US Department of Health and Human Services to enhance demographic data quality. Calvin emphasizes recognizing LGBTQ individuals as people with unique stories and the importance of methodological data collection. For further guidance, recommendations include resources from the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation at the US Department of Health and Human Services. Key Quote: “These are intimate areas of people's lives that we're dealing with in health care, and HIPAA was enacted to protect that information from exploitation and misuse. so it's incredibly sad to see state actors intentionally misusing the law. To take personal health information from patients, from families, from healthcare institutions, not just that incredible intrusion into the provider patient relationship, but then also to Press charges against healthcare providers, for providing medical care in accordance with their training and expertise. It's an incredible violation of HIPAA and something that should concern all of us, regardless of whether we're transgender or we provide care to transgender people.”-Kellan Baker, Executive Director of the Whitman-Walker InstituteTime Stamps:(00:44) Understanding SOGI Data(03:26) Challenges and Misconceptions about SOGI Data(05:51) Legal Issues and Misuse of SOGI Data(11:01) Finding Trust in Healthcare Systems(13:12) The Future of SOGI Data CollectionLinks:Connect with Kellan BakerConnect with Dr. Carl StreedLearn more about the Whiteman-Walker Institute Learn more about the GenderCare Center at Boston University School of Medicine

Stella is an Irish psychotherapist who had her own intense experience with gender as a child, and the resolution of her gender distress has made her curious about the wisdom of early intervention. As a result, in addition to facilitating a parent coachingsite that provides practical help to parents who are navigating their child's gender-related distress, and acting as the presenter for the documentary, “Trans Kids: It's Time to Talk (2018), Stella is the director of Genspect, an international organization that offers a healthy approach to sex and gender.Stella is the co-author of a 2023 book called “When Kids Say They're Trans,” a work which explicitly encourages parents not to immediately consider gender affirming surgery or other medical procedures that might prove irreversible. Stella and her colleagues argue that only parents know best and their book hopes to help parents everywhere support their child's identity without necessarily altering their biology. Stella joins Adam to discuss the current conversation over gender and children and argues that the though the science is far from settled, parents can, and should, love their children for who they are. Editor's Summary by Anne Cappola, MD, ScM, Associate Editor of JAMA, the Journal of the American Medical Association, for the May 21, 2024, issue.
Societal pressures surrounding marriage often fuel negative perceptions of being single, creating undue stress and stigma for those who haven't followed traditional relationship paths. Meanwhile, gay men may encounter challenges in forming healthy long-term relationships due to societal prejudices, lack of legal recognition, and historical marginalization, contributing to a higher prevalence of singlehood within the community. In this episode, we're exploring the joys of embracing singlehood, finding happiness in solitude, and navigating the journey towards self-love while overcoming the societal stigma and pressures of single-shaming.Additional Resources:Single PersonHow Many People are Single in the World? Didn't listen to episode one of this debate? Don't worry. If you've a newcomer to PWT debates you can catch up on details in a quick 10-minute episode, telling you how these PWT debates work and meet host, Danusia Malina-Derben. But if you're in a rush, just dive into this episode where Danusia and three parents discuss whether schools should teach about gender identity and sexual orientation, or not. In this episode, we kick things off by revisiting guests experiences of being taught about gender identity and sexual orientation at school and at home. Plus, we hear from one of Danusia's sons about what he learned about this too. Cue the condom on the banana situation - this rite of passage was inadequate in the past and just doesn't cut it now either. Then, prepare for the main event—the "Get Up On Your High Horse" segment where opinions collide; consensus isn't the ultimate goal here. You'll hear from one parent who's all about teaching beyond the binary model and sees entrusting teachers to impart gender identity and sexual orientation education as the way forward. Then there's another parent who wants heteronormativity eradicated and for schools to model diversity in their culture and across the curriculum. And finally, there's the third parent who argues schools do not have time for teaching gender identity, that this teaching is untested, not necessarily appropriate, and that other life skills are more important to focus on in school time. But wait, there's more: the safety of playgrounds is at stake, and everyone's got skin in the game. Next week, we delve further into the real-world implications of these parents beliefs. Remember, Parents Who Think won't hand you the answers; we're dishing out the debates, and it's up to you to pick your side.
