Matt and Michael open with the paradox of getting your ass kicked and somehow feeling more alive because of it. Matt shares his realization that there is no "there" to arrive at. The car ride IS the destination. Flat tires, closed restaurants, broken grinders. That's not the interruption of life. That IS life. Then things get deep. They wrestle with Dawkins vs. Lennox on justice and whether the universe has a moral order. They explore why science itself presupposes God, why atheism requires its own kind of faith, and why Lennox's answer about morality is devastating. All men are created in the image of God, even the ones who don't believe in Him. The back half dives into inversion. How we try to make reality conform to us instead of conforming ourselves to reality. They tackle sex, polyamory, pornography, and C.S. Lewis's insight from The Abolition of Man. If you optimize for the purpose of a thing, you destroy the thing itself. Optimize for pleasure, and you end up in misery. Cheers y'all
Recorded live at MathFest 2026 in Boston, this special episode brings together mathematics faculty from institutions across the country for a wide-ranging conversation about alternative grading. With the practice becoming increasingly visible in mathematics education, Sharona invites the group to reflect on what they are hearing, questioning, and thinking about as they move through the conference. The discussion opens space to consider emerging practices, persistent challenges, and the kinds of questions that arise when educators gather in person to compare experiences and rethink how grading can better support student learning.LinksPlease note - any books linked here are likely Amazon Associates links. In his second visit to the show, Buddhist psychologist JOE DENICHOLAS tal about the relatively low-rate of success for therapy and the reasons he believes are the cause: from the standpoint of the therapy itself, the client and the the therapist. We talk about how therapists can create a safe environment for clients, the core beliefs clients bring into therapy and the need for therapist/client connection and a helathy seperation. We also get into the idea of mortality and the power this reality can bring to one's existence both within and outside of the therapy evironment. JOE DENICHOLAS is a dynamic, challenging licensed therapist whose work bridges science, spirituality, and healing. With degrees in electrical engineering, business, and clinical social work, he brings a rare interdisciplinary perspective to both clinical practice and contemplative training. For more than two decades, Joe has studied Buddhist psychology and trained with renowned meditation masters, helping individuals access deep transformation, clarity, and peace. He has guided hundreds through developing meaningful mindfulness and meditation practices. Earlier in his career, Joe contributed to the global shift toward energy-efficient lighting, earning multiple U.S. patents in integrated-circuit and semiconductor device design as an IC Design Engineer and Semiconductor Technologist. Today, his work integrates Buddhist psychology in a secular way with modern neuroscience to relieve suffering and unlock the mind's natural capacity for wellbeing. He founded Unbreakable Inc., an organization dedicated to helping people rediscover resilience, goodness, and inner freedom through education, workshops, meditation, and therapy. Interview with Matt Manson, President & CEO of Radisson Mining Resources Inc.Our previous interview: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/posts/radisson-mining-tsxvrds-delivers-82-gold-resource-jump-from-just-25-of-140000m-drill-program-9475Recording date: 2nd July 2026Radisson Mining Resources is rapidly advancing its O'Brien Gold Project in Quebec's Abitibi region, one of the world's most established gold camps, as it transitions from exploration toward potential development. Since 2023, the project's resource has grown from 900,000 ounces to approximately 2.3 million ounces by March 2026, with particularly strong expansion in inferred resources. Management now targets a significantly larger deposit of 3 to 4 million ounces or more, supported by ongoing drilling success. This growth is driven by an extensive 140,000-metre drill program launched in October 2025, with eight rigs operating continuously through the first half of 2027. The program focuses both on extending known mineralized zones at depth and testing previously unexamined gaps between them. Results so far suggest strong geological continuity, with an 80–85% success rate in the core resource area and encouraging deep intercepts that reinforce confidence in the deposit's scale.A key strategic advantage is the project's proximity to major mining infrastructure, including Agnico Eagle's LaRonde and Iamgold's Westwood-Doyon Complex. This allows Radisson to consider either building a standalone mine or leveraging existing mills, shafts, and tailings facilities, potentially reducing capital costs and development timelines. Recent financing of C$25 million has strengthened the company's balance sheet to over C$50 million, fully funding exploration through at least late 2027 and enabling drilling to extend deeper, now targeting up to 2.5 kilometres.Despite these advances, Radisson's valuation has declined amid a broader pullback in gold equities, with its implied value falling to roughly US$110–120 per ounce—well below recent regional acquisition benchmarks of US$500–600 per ounce. This gap highlights potential upside if the company continues to expand resources and de-risk development. Overall, O'Brien is emerging as a fast-growing, infrastructure-advantaged gold project with increasing strategic flexibility.View Radisson Mining's company profile: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/companies/radisson-resourcesSign up for Crux Investor: https://cruxinvestor.com

When every batch belongs to a single patient, a single centralized facility cannot serve the world. In Part 2, Chantale Bernatchez moves from process development into the broader consequences of that reality: the manufacturing model built around clinical proximity, the global alliance bringing TIL production to regions with no current access, and the next-generation engineered approaches redefining what these therapies can do.Chantale Bernatchez is Head of Process Development at CTMC, a joint venture between Resilience and MD Anderson Cancer Center. If you missed Part 1, she explained how specific activation changes recovered a failing TIL process from 50% to 95% success in heavily pre-treated patients.Topics discussed:How close collaboration with MD Anderson accelerates clinical development and regulatory readiness (03:08)CTMC's approach to process development and adapting to innovative technologies (05:15)The value of partnership-based models versus traditional CDMO-driven approaches (06:24)Global technology transfer: building alliances to expand access to cell therapies, with a case study in Brazil (07:35)Key barriers and solutions for cell therapy manufacturing in new regions (09:41)Practical advice for scientists starting in GMP manufacturing and process development (10:46)Future directions in CAR T and TIL, including logic-gated CARs, engineered TILs, and in vivo therapies (12:24)The importance of continued innovation and collaboration to expand global patient access (17:39)Smart insight:The choice of manufacturing partner in cell therapy is not a logistics decision. It is a process development decision. CTMC's collaboration-based model exists because many early-stage developers arrive without a process robust enough to hand over. For scientists in small or mid-sized companies, engaging that kind of partnership too late, or on purely transactional terms, is one of the most avoidable risks in early clinical development. If you're interested in exploring further the concepts we touched on, such as cell therapy manufacturing, process control, and scaling living therapies—take a look at these related discussions:Episodes 125 - 126: How to Enhance Cell Engineering Using Mechanical Intracellular Delivery with Armon ShareiEpisodes 109 - 110: Spinning Like Earth: Designing Low-Shear Bioreactors for Better Cell Culture with Olivier DetournayEpisodes 105 - 106: From Proteins to Cell Therapy: Why ATMPs Aren't Just Complex Biologics with Oliver KraemerConnect with Chantale Bernatchez:LinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/in/chantale-bernatchez-22b09511CTMC website: www.ctmc.comSupport the show
The most underappreciated parameter in cell therapy process development is not your bioreactor, your media, or your activation protocol. It is the patient. Chantale Bernatchez has spent 20 years learning that lesson the hard way, watching the same manufacturing process succeed brilliantly with one donor and fail completely with the next. In this episode, she explains why starting material variability is the defining challenge of cell therapy manufacturing, and what it actually takes to build a process robust enough to survive it.Chantale Bernatchez is Head of Process Development at CTMC, a joint venture between Resilience and MD Anderson Cancer Center. She holds a PhD in immunology and has spent two decades advancing T cell therapy from early research programs at MD Anderson to GMP-compliant clinical manufacturing. She holds four patents in adoptive cell therapy.Key topics discussed:Personal journey: from immunology PhD in Quebec to cell therapy leadership in Houston (04:25)Evolution of TIL therapy at MD Anderson, including manufacturing innovations to overcome declining T cell yields (06:14)The fundamental differences between traditional medicines and cell-based immunotherapies (10:01)Unique manufacturing complexities for autologous therapies, including batch variability and process standardization (11:19)Strategies to address decreased cell fitness in heavily pretreated patients, including changes in cell activation and culture conditions (13:57)Key learnings from the CAR T and TIL manufacturing process: balancing process duration, cell fitness, and product yield (16:28)Mechanistic differences between CAR T and TIL therapies and their implications for efficacy and resistance (17:58)The limits and risks of automation in cell therapy manufacturing—balancing manual vs. automated processes (24:04)Why moving between manufacturing platforms raises challenges in comparability and clinical outcomes (25:44)The ongoing search for critical cell quality attributes that correlate with patient response (27:00)In part two, Chantale goes deeper into next-generation approaches, technology transfer, and what needs to change to broadly expand patient access.Smart insight: In cell therapy, manufacturing isn't just a production step. It defines the therapy itself. Because each patient's starting cells are unique, even subtle changes in the process can significantly alter clinical outcomes. If you're interested in exploring further the concepts we touched on—such as cell therapy manufacturing, process control, and scaling living therapies—take a look at these related discussions:Episodes 125 - 126: How to Enhance Cell Engineering Using Mechanical Intracellular Delivery with Armon ShareiEpisodes 109 - 110: Spinning Like Earth: Designing Low-Shear Bioreactors for Better Cell Culture with Olivier DetournayEpisodes 105 - 106: From Proteins to Cell Therapy: Why ATMPs Aren't Just Complex Biologics with Oliver KraemerConnect with Chantale Bernatchez:LinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/in/chantale-bernatchez-22b09511CTMC website: www.ctmc.comSupport the show

Fertility Docs Uncensored Today's episode of Fertility Docs Uncensored is hosted by Dr. Carrie Bedient from the Fertility Center of Las Vegas, Dr. Susan Hudson from Texas Fertility Center, and Dr. Abby Eblen from Nashville Fertility Center, they are joined by guest Dr. Michael Homer of RSC Bay Area in Los Gatos and Menlo Park. The discussion focuses on natural conception success rates compared to IUI and IVF, with a strong emphasis on the impact of age. Patients under 35 have the highest chance of conceiving naturally, while success declines with age, making early evaluation important. Patients are considered to have infertility if they have tried to conceive after unprotected intercourse for one year. The doctors discuss when you should see a fertility doctor sooner. The group highlights earlier evaluation for patients over 36, those with endometriosis, prior pelvic surgery, irregular ovulation, or a partner with low sperm count. What are realistic success rates with IUI? IUI success is largely age-based and generally brings patients close to their natural baseline but does not exceed it. Who are the best candidates for IUI? Ideal candidates include those who ovulate or respond to oral medications, have open fallopian tubes, and have a partner with adequate sperm parameters. When is IVF a better option? IVF may be more effective for patients seeking a faster path to pregnancy or those with lower chances using less aggressive treatments. Younger patients may achieve multiple embryos from one retrieval, while older patients benefit from quicker feedback and the ability to repeat cycles if needed. IVF success rates for patients under 35 are often around 65%, though many patients underestimate their chances for success. This episode is sponsored by Reproductive Science Center.

Dr. Natalie Crawford, board-certified OB-GYN and REI, answers your fertility questions. I'm almost 35 and currently going through IVF. I have PCOS and insulin resistance and have had four early miscarriages despite normal testing and blood work. I've also had two laparoscopic surgeries for cysts, one showing mild endometriosis, and a uterine biopsy that showed no inflammation. Given this history, how successful might IVF be for us? What transfer protocol do you recommend after Lupron and letrozole suppression for positive ReceptivaDX results—modified natural or medicated—and what factors guide that decision? Can autoimmune conditions contribute to secondary infertility? I have a four-year-old but have since experienced five miscarriages and have diminished ovarian reserve. After four cycles I've only had one embryo tested and it was aneuploid, and my doctor says autoimmune testing may be the next step if endometriosis testing is negative. Air quality is an often-overlooked factor that can significantly impact patient outcomes. In this episode of the Healthcare Success Podcast, Stewart Gandolf speaks with Katy Worrilow, Founder and Chief Scientific Officer of LifeAire Systems, about how unexplained fluctuations in IVF pregnancy rates led to the discovery that airborne contaminants were affecting embryo viability. Katy explains how this insight led to the development of a technology designed to destroy airborne pathogens rather than simply capture them—an innovation now being used in IVF labs, operating rooms, NICUs, senior living communities, and other healthcare environments.
Legal tampering is here. Recent history speaks The NFL legal tampering window opens in hours. The Detroit Lions have three recent free agency classes that frame expectations. The 2022-to-2023 line marked the pivot from rebuild to contender. The record since then shows real swings, timely hits, and costly misses. It also shows that the front office does, in fact, go after top-tier veterans. 2023 swings: one clear hit, several misses Detroit targeted premium talent among outside free agents. David Montgomery arrived as the No. 3 running back on the market and was paid the second-most at his position. He outplayed the higher-paid back and delivered strong production in Detroit. That was a clear win. Cam Sutton was the No. 3 cornerback on the board and commanded major money. The signing was graded as an A- at the time and was widely viewed as aggressive and on-target. It did not work. Beyond off-field problems, the on-field fit sagged, and Detroit overpaid for a corner who never synced with the scheme. C.J. Gardner-Johnson entered as the No. 3 safety and became the fourth-highest paid safety from that class. He brought tone and edge to the locker room, but the move failed, in part due to injury. He missed all but two games. Emmanuel Mosley, ranked eighth among cornerbacks, never got on the field because of injuries, though his deal was low budget. Marvin Jones returned in a fan-pleasing move but retired soon after. Jalen Reeves-Maybin also returned in that class. Those depth bets did not move the needle. 2024 outcomes: quiet headlines, subtle value DJ Reader was the fifth-rated interior defensive lineman and signed the fourth-richest deal among his peers. The move even drew an A+ grade at the time. Reader underwhelmed some fans on the stat sheet. The film told more. He kept linebackers clean and helped Aleem grow into a higher-impact interior presence. That value matters on early downs and in money downs alike. Kevin Zeitler arrived as the No. 10 interior offensive lineman in his class and outplayed at least eight players signed above him during his year in Detroit. Then he left for Tennessee on similar money. It stung because the team expected him back, but the one-year return was strong value for the cap dollar. What this pattern says about the next 48 hours Across 2023 and 2024, the Lions targeted players near the top of consensus rankings and paid near the top of market at select positions. They took calculated swings at cornerback and safety that missed, landed a back who fit, mined value on the interior of both lines, and absorbed injury risk on short-term flyers. The evidence is clear: Detroit signs players in free agency, aims high at priority spots, and lives with variance. With the NFL's window opening, expect targeted aggression, not inactivity. #detroitlions #lions #detroitlionspodcast #nflfreeagency #lionsfreeagencyhistory #bradholmes #djreed #djreader Learn more about your ad choices. This episode cuts through the noise of positive thinking, affirmations, and surface-level mindset advice. Because a top-tier mindset isn't about being calm, confident, or high-vibe all the time. It's about how you think, decide, regulate, and respond when life actually applies pressure. In this episode, I break down the real mechanics behind top-tier mindset: across life, relationships, money, leadership, visibility, and self-trust and why most people never develop it, even after years of “inner work.” Woman Mastery HQ Membership [CLICK HERE] to join the membership that teaches:
This is a link post. Building on the recent empirical work of Kwa et al. (2025), I show that within their suite of research-engineering tasks the performance of AI agents on longer-duration tasks can be explained by an extremely simple mathematical model — a constant rate of failing during each minute a human would take to do the task. This implies an exponentially declining success rate with the length of the task and that each agent could be characterised by its own half-life. This empirical regularity allows us to estimate the success rate for an agent at different task lengths. And the fact that this model is a good fit for the data is suggestive of the underlying causes of failure on longer tasks — that they involve increasingly large sets of subtasks where failing any one fails the task. Whether this model applies more generally on other suites of tasks is unknown and an important subject for further work. What if there is a biblical process for healing that actually works — consistently? For years, Beatty Carmichael wrestled with the same questions so many Christians have: Why are so many believers sick? Why do our prayers for healing so often seem ineffective? That search led him into a Scripture-based discovery that is producing real, repeatable results — not because of a rare gift, but because it follows the spiritual mechanics God laid out for healing with a success rate approaching 90%.In this remarkable conversation, you'll hear stories of people healed instantly in public places — RSD, degenerative disc disease, arthritis, glaucoma, anxiety, depression, addictions, and more. And you'll learn the simple, powerful, biblically rooted process behind those healings that any believer can use.If you or someone you love has battled something for years, this may offer real hope.If you or someone you love is battling a condition that doctors haven't fully been able to explain or resolve…If you've prayed for healing and wondered why nothing changed…If you want to walk in the authority Jesus gave His disciples…This conversation could unlock the breakthrough you've been praying for.God still heals.
