This week, we're giving you an inside look at what we cover over on our Patreon—where, if you're caught up on regular episodes and craving more, we dive into additional cases, including some that have already reached a verdict… but still leave questions behind. In this episode, we take you back to 1964 and into one of the most sensational true crime cases in American history—the murder of Jacques Mossler. Set against a backdrop of wealth, power, and high society, this case quickly spirals into something far more shocking. A brutal killing. A forbidden relationship that makes headlines across the nation. And a courtroom battle so filled with scandal that it drew comparisons to the biggest trials in history long before cable news existed. As the story unfolds, what emerges is not just a question of who committed the crime—but whether justice can truly be served when money, influence, and public perception collide. Because even when a case seems to have all the pieces… that doesn't always mean the truth wins. Raphael BenLevi on Ending U.S. Aid to Israel

In the spring of 2026, Israel and the United States conducted joint offensive military operations against Iran: coordinating targets, dividing airspace, and operating with a degree of integration that has no precedent in the history of the alliance. The operation significantly degraded Iran's military capabilities, and it marked what many analysts regard as a genuine turning point, not just in the regional balance of power, but in the nature of the American-Israeli relationship itself. For decades, that relationship had been structured as a powerful patron supporting a dependent client. What the Iran war suggested to some observers is that Israel has—at least in part—outgrown that structure. That is the backdrop for a debate that is now live in both Jerusalem and Washington: what should American military aid to Israel look like when the current memorandum of understanding between the two countries expires in 2028? The U.S. currently provides Israel with approximately $3.5 billion annually in grants, earmarked for the purchase of American-made military equipment—an arrangement that dates to the aftermath of the Yom Kippur War and that has been renewed, and periodically enlarged, ever since. For most of that period, the case for the aid seemed self-evident. First the Arab states, and then Iran and its proxies, were actively threatening Israel's existence. American military and diplomatic support was an indispensable buttress of Israel's security. Whether that case remains self-evident today, in the wake of a war that has significantly diminished Iranian capabilities, is now a serious question being debated by Israelis and Americans of good faith, with thoughtful arguments on multiple sides. In this episode, Mosaic's editor Jonathan Silver speaks with a proud Israeli patriot who has been making the case for ending American aid for some time. Raphael BenLevi is a senior fellow at the Misgav Institute for National Security and Zionist Strategy, director of the Churchill Program for Statecraft and Security at the Argaman Institute in Jerusalem, a reserve officer in the IDF intelligence branch, and an occasional contributor to Mosaic. He recently published an essay in Foreign Affairs titled "America Should Be Israel's Partner, Not Its Patron." On Wednesday's Mark Levin Show, the global and especially American situation is very dark, grave, and worsening daily. Europe has fallen to a jihadi Islamist crusade while unprecedented antisemitism targets Jews walking the streets in the U.S. while every synagogue spends fortunes on security. The Democrat Party no longer offers support to Jews, as it has been taken over and devoured by Islamists and Marxists who are welcome there. Also, the Supreme Court issued a major decision upholding that the Voting Rights Act of 1965 was never intended to allow creation of congressional districts based on race; it aimed instead to end race-based segregation in the South. The ruling reaffirms that districts cannot be drawn with racial intent to discriminate or guarantee outcomes, requiring actual evidence of intent to block minorities' opportunity to elect candidates of their choice rather than mere allegations. Democrats have misused the Act to advance their party by creating race-conscious districts, treating certain racial groups as reliable voters and fearing losses in majority-white areas, contrary to the Act's original colorblind aim. Later, Rep Byron Donalds calls in and reports that Gov Ron DeSantis submitted a new congressional map, which the legislature passed and the governor plans to sign. This is a strong reflection of the Florida's political framework. He also explains that the Democrat Party are a bunch of limousine liberals. They love everything being handed to them, but they do not have an appreciation for the market system and for free enterprise. Allie sits down with Camille Varone, senior counsel at the Department of Justice, to discuss the explosive new revelations from a report by the DOJ Task Force to Eradicate Anti-Christian Bias. The report exposes how the Biden administration systematically targeted Christians through an overbroad reading of Bostock, weaponization of the FACE Act against pro-lifers, FBI scrutiny of traditional Catholics, and pressure on schools, medical professionals, and faith-based organizations to conform to progressive gender ideology or lose funding. From career bureaucrats pushing “gender-affirming care” with minimal religious exemptions to coordination with abortion NGOs to prosecute pro-life advocates, this conversation reveals deep ideological capture within the federal bureaucracy — and what it means for religious liberty moving forward. American family farms are being systematically destroyed by the very government bills claiming to protect them. I'm joined by fourth-generation farmer and Farm Action Fund President Joe Maxwell to expose the massive corporate monopolies, land-grabs, and venture socialism hidden inside the $1.5 trillion farm bill. We dive deep into how taxpayer money is weaponized to drive up agricultural land prices, incentivize feed and fuel crops over actual food, and allow foreign conglomerates and hedge funds to dominate the meatpacking industry. If you want to know why beef prices are at record highs while cattle ranchers go bankrupt, the answer is in the cronyism of our agricultural policies. It is time to break up the monopolies, end crony subsidies and regulatory capture, pass the PRIME Act, and restore American food security. Learn more about your ad choices. Passenger Pigeons Once Numbered in the Billions and Blotted Out the Skies for Days. They Went Extinct in 30 Years.

In America’s first hundred years, the animal you were most likely to see was a passenger pigeon. And you saw a lot of them. Flocks were so numerous they literally blotted out the sun for days and their combined weight snapped the branches of entire forests where they roosted. Yet by 1914, the last specimen, a female named Martha, died at the Cincinnati Zoo, marking the complete extinction of what had been North America's most abundant bird numbering in the billions just decades earlier. Early Americans assumed the nation's bird populations were infinite, so market hunters fashioned homemade cannons to blast sleeping ducks by the dozens, "pigeoneers" shipped passenger pigeons by the trainload to city restaurants, and feather hunters shot rare birds worth more than their weight in gold so Gilded Age women could wear plumes in their hats. What followed was an unlikely coalition of bird-lovers like Roosevelt, gunmakers, business titans, and brave game wardens who transformed American conservation. They couldn’t save the passenger pigeon, but they saved other species from extinction, like the Canada Goose and the trumpeter swan. Today's guest is James H. McCommons, author of The Feather Wars: And the Great Crusade to Save America's Birds. We discuss how Roosevelt used executive powers to create the first federal bird refuge at Pelican Island in 1903, why the revolutionary 1918 Migratory Bird Treaty Act made nearly all wild birds wards of the federal government while inadvertently establishing that federal law supersedes state law, and how conservation success stories including wild turkeys, wood ducks, trumpeter swans, and bald eagles were all brought back from extinction's brink. McCommons also warns that America faces a new crisis reminiscent of the Gilded Age. Since 1970, one in four birds (about 3 billion) in North America have been lost, with backyard species like sparrows, blackbirds, warblers, and finches disappearing as indicator species foreshadowing greater environmental collapse.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The piece notes Comey's history feuding with Trump and his role in the Russia investigation but these details are irrelevant to the charge. Comey's explanation for the 8647 seashells is unbelievable—especially for a former FBI director. Also, Iran is overflowing with oil and desperately seeking storage in quarries, old ships, and anywhere possible because President Trump has effectively shut down the Strait of Hormuz—taking it over in response to Iran's actions—preventing them from exporting oil. They continue pumping but have nowhere to store it; shutting down the wells risks destroying or rendering many unworkable.  The U.S. should give Iran two options – unconditional surrender or we finish Iran off. Later, the Democrat Party has a long history of violence and embracing humanity's worst traits. Democrats target Trump because he stands between them and the people, loves America and its founding. Their inflammatory language, labeling Trump as Hitler or a dictator, is designed to incite violence against ICE, police, and the president through mobs funded by billionaires and networks. Americans see through this. Afterward, Bruce Blakeman calls in to discuss his run for Governor of NY against Kathy Hochul. Common-sense Democrats are supporting him because the Democratic Party has shifted to far-left progressive woke policies that are un-American, denigrate the country, and have abandoned traditional American values once shared by figures like Moynihan and Scoop Jackson. What would you do for a desperation pie? Kitchen correspondent Sarah Archer is here to talk with Sarah about the American food trends that marked the 20th century and how they related to the political and cultural changes of a nation in need of constant culinary inventiveness. They discuss the specialties of the barren Depression Era, the food-related propaganda and rationing of the wartime years, the meteoric rise of post-war disposability, the premade mixes and “exotic” dishes of midcentury housewives, and the special tastes of Soviet Cold War diplomacy. Throughout the episode, they discuss the messages these eras transmitted to the women in charge of the kitchen and draw parallels to our new era of trad wife cooking and carnivore dieting. Digressions include the unique features of Star Trek aliens, why cottage cheese is the Cher of foods, and how ironing sheets can be a potent tool for procrastination.More Sarah Archer:https://www.sarah-archer.com/Design for Dreaming 1956 appliance fantasy film: https://publicdomainreview.org/collection/design-for-dreaming-1956/Midcentury Menu exhibition at the MFAH: https://www.mfah.org/art/exhibitions/midcentury-menu-dining-in-the-atomic-ageMeals with a Foreign Flair: https://archive.org/details/mealswithforeign00desmEdited + Produced by Miranda Zickler:http://linktr.ee/mirandatheswampmonsterMore You're Wrong About:Bonus Episodes on PatreonBuy cute merchSupport the show

More To The Story: When President Donald Trump returned to office last year, he promised to largely steer America clear of foreign entanglements. But over the last year, his administration has captured Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, threatened to take over Greenland, openly talked about making Canada the 51st state, and most recently attacked Iran. In some ways, it might appear that Trump is trying to revive the American empire. Not so, says Daniel Immerwahr, a Northwestern University history professor and author of How to Hide an Empire: A History of the Greater United States. What Trump is really doing, he says, is undermining the international system itself. On this week's More To The Story, Immerwahr sits down with host Al Letson to examine Trump's attack on Iran, why Trump is ripping apart the post-World War II international order, and the long-term consequences of the president's impulsive foreign policy.Producer: Josh Sanburn | Editor: Kara McGuirk-Allison | Theme music: Fernando Arruda and Jim Briggs | Copy editor: Nikki Frick | Digital producer: Artis Curiskis | Deputy executive producer: Taki Telonidis | Executive producer: Brett Myers | Executive editor: James West | Host: Al LetsonListen: Al Gore: Trump Administration Is the Most Corrupt in History (More To The Story)Read: Trump's New Nuclear Nightmare in Iran (Mother Jones)Read: How to Hide an Empire: A History of the Greater United States (Picador) Donate today at Revealnews.org/more Subscribe to our weekly newsletter at Revealnews.org/weekly Follow us on Instagram and Bluesky Learn about your ad choices: dovetail.prx.org/ad-choices

Weird Darkness: Stories of the Paranormal, Supernatural, Legends, Lore, Mysterious, Macabre, Unsolved

Can reading about the paranormal actually open a door to something otherworldly? Some real-life accounts suggest the act of delving into the supernatural may invite more than just stories – it may invite something far darker.FEATURED STORIES IN THIS EPISODE: As long as there has been talk of evil spirits, ghosts, and demons, there have been tales of ways to bind, subdue, and imprison them. (Bizarre Real Demon Traps) *** Is it possible that reading about the world of the paranormal can somehow expose a person to it? (Can Reading A Book Open a Paranormal Door?) *** A truck driver passes a specter on a night road. (Night Driving In Alabama Left Me Speechless) *** The 1964 murder of Kitty Genovese – killed in front of 38 people, yet no one came to her aid - became an American legend. But how much of the story is true? (The Woman Killed In Front Of 38 Witnesses) *** The skeleton of a young boy was found on the side of a road and eventually a man named Marcellus Bunch was arrested for the crime – yet he seemed completely unconcerned about himself, the trial, or his fate. (A Hidden Skeleton) *** You don't have to be sleeping with someone to be the victim of a blanket hog. You only need an invisible entity to give you those chills. (The Phantom Blanket Puller) *** Beloved horror author Edgar Allan Poe was a master of terror and mystery – but his greatest mystery may not have been in the pages of his writings, but in the days immediately before his death. The American electoral foundation is shaking as reports of duplicate absentee ballots surface in key battlegrounds like Green Bay and Madison, Wisconsin. This episode dives deep into the administrative "errors" that skeptics argue are symptoms of a manufactured system designed to rob the will of the people. We examine the harrowing legal battle of patriot whistleblower Tina Peters, who remains imprisoned after uncovering alleged vulnerabilities in the voting machine matrix, while a "rotted" judicial system denies her basic motions for a fair hearing. From election integrity to the double standards of justice, we pull back the curtain on a political class that appears more interested in protecting its own power than the voices of the citizens it claims to represent. We are joined by Dr. Rich Guggenheim, an internationally recognized agricultural scientist and candidate for Colorado's State Senate District 25. Dr. Guggenheim shares his firsthand experience as a whistleblower facing disciplinary hearings for exposing the misuse of federal funds for DEI initiatives and discusses his relentless First Amendment battle against legislative "curation" of free speech. Later, we head to the streets of Philadelphia with activist John Allante McAuley. After being forcibly removed from a City Council meeting for opposing "ICE OUT" bills, McAuley breaks down the blatant violation of constitutional rights occurring in our urban centers and shares his mission to "Flip Philly Red" through raw, boots-on-the-ground engagement. This broadcast isn't just about identifying the problems; it's about the growing movement of Americans who refuse to be silenced by the manufactured chaos and division. We take a hard look at the "backstabbing" within the GOP, highlighted by Nancy Mace's revelations regarding the protection of radical figures, and contrast the treatment of patriots with those who profit from fraud and national disrespect. From the legislative halls of Denver to the council chambers of Philadelphia, the narrative is cracking. Watch as we expose the traps laid by the elite and empower you with the truth needed to reclaim accountability, representation, and the very soul of the nation.

The American mandate for mass deportations has been sidelined, not by the will of the voters, but by a calculated surrender to political optics and donor pressure. From the high-level internal sabotage described by Greg Bovino to the targeted doxing of federal agents, the infrastructure of national sovereignty is being dismantled in real-time. As "evil-doers" in power leverage street chaos to stall the removal of millions, the citizens who voted for the restoration of the rule of law find themselves ignored, while the federal apparatus, once the guardian of the border, is forced into a strategic retreat. In the laboratories of authoritarianism like "Communist Colorado," the assault has shifted from the borders to the dinner table. Legislation like the "Kelly Loving Act" (HB 25-1312) effectively criminalizes traditional parenting, reclassifying the use of biological pronouns as "coercive control" and a precursor to stripping custody. This is not about inclusivity; it is a systemic effort to run cover for radical ideologies that groom children in secret school clubs and prioritize the "comfort" of criminals over the safety of the public. Whether it is removing anti-crime signs in Michigan or destroying the booking photos of convicted terror-funders to satisfy Islamic demands, the message is clear: American norms are being supplanted by a culture of subversion.Behind the political theater lies a deeper financial and judicial rot. While the Democratic Socialists of America tighten their grip on major hubs like Los Angeles protecting drug encampments outside school gates the global economy is signaling a historic shift. As gold and silver enter a "price discovery" phase and decouple from paper suppression, investors are left to navigate a world where central banks are hoarding physical assets in anticipation of a systemic reset. We dive deep into this "Stagflation Playbook" with experts Ben Kelleran and Vince Lanci, exposing how to protect your legacy while the institutional titans who threatened the Republic, like James Comey, finally face their day of reckoning.

In the spring of 1936, the producer of King Kong hauled a film crew to the desert of Arizona to shoot a sweeping romantic epic. But the heat was so punishing that it melted film stock, caused the lead actress to pass out, and killed the production's mascot – a baby camel.  It was the beginning of a heat wave that parked itself over America for months, quickly becoming one of the deadliest natural disasters in our country's history. The discussion highlights the decisive roles of tanks, airpower, unified command under Ferdinand Foch, and the growing impact of American forces. Two days ago, Trump demanded a comedian be fired for telling a joke. Yesterday, he ordered the Justice Department to once again indict James Comey. For what was Comey indicted for this time? Exercising his right to free speech. Like all good dictators, Trump tries to silence speech he doesn't like. Which is, for the umpteenth time, utterly un-American. Hosted on Acast. This week on Stitch Please, Lisa calls out every sewer who's ever said, “Eh… I'll skip that step.” Yes, she's talking about under stitching, stay stitching, basting and even hand stitching (deep sigh). With humor, honesty, and a little self dragging, Lisa breaks down why those “annoying extra steps” are actually the reason some garments look fine… and others look flawless. From facings that refuse to behave to necklines that stretch into chaos, she explains exactly what goes wrong when you rush and how doing it right the first time saves you from rage sewing later. Those invisible stitches are doing very visible work. Skip them if you want… just don't be surprised when your outfit starts acting up.=====Hosted By: Dr. Lisa WoolforkSenior Producer: Krystal HillProducer: Mike Bryant========Sign Up For Lisa's Class at The Fiber and Fabric Craft Festival In Chicago===============Dr. Lisa Woolfork is an associate professor of English specializing in African American literature and culture. The arrest of Tony Fauci's top advisor prompts calls for the Justice Department to charge Fauci for lying to Congress about funding risky gain-of-function research in China and causing a global pandemic. WE know why we loathe the "doctor," but in this hour, we play old clips of Fauci orchestrating one of the darkest, deadliest chapters in American history. If you're a WBR frequent flier, you'll recognize the names (Daszak, Baric, Collins) that we have been exposing for 5 years.
