BEST OF TST (5/28/25): Manga Earthquake The Future I Saw

    The Secret Teachings

BEST OF TST: A manga book from Japan has recently caught the attention of international travelers due to its seeming ability to predict the future, specifically the March 2011 Tohoku earthquake. Originally written and published in 1999, the newest version from 2021 now suggests there will be a mega quake somewhere between Japan and the Philippines on July 5, or within that month, 2025. The author and artist, Ryo Tatsuki, has been right about other future events too, including the 2020 pandemic. Reportedly, she obtains her insights from dreams and has become so popular she is being compared to Nostradamus or the Bulgarian blind woman Baba Vanga, who made a series of sometimes accurate predictions before her death in the 1990s, from current times all the way to the year 5,079, or the end of the world as we know it. Ryo Tatsuki is also predicting a second global pandemic due to COVID, or a variation of it, and implied by her July earthquake dream, a mega tsunami with massive waves.  There should be a debate about the differences between psychic predictions from dreams or visions, and the same predictions made my computer models and scientific analysis; about movies and tv shows making predictions or obtaining information through channeling sessions with spirits, and the nature of pure imagination; also, the influence art and reality have on one another. Either way, reports are that tourists are changing their plans or cancelling their trips to the far east as a result of Tatsuki's dreams, though the data doesn't seem to support that claim beyond small airlines or travel companies that are probably looking for free publicity. However, there are very real scientific fears of the Nankai Trough causing a massive earthquake and tsunami which has provoked the first ever mega quake warnings in Japan, followed by their revocation, followed by their reissuing. The same can be said about the western United States too, though some reports are nothing but pure sensationalism. Despite this, dead oarfish have been washing up on shore in California and Mexico, an omen in Japan of an impending earthquake due to unseen things happening underwater. *The is the FREE archive, which includes advertisements. //The Wire//2300Z July 3, 2025////ROUTINE////BLUF: AX ATTACK STRIKES GERMANY. JUDGES CONTINUE TO HALT IMMIGRATION AND DEPORTATION POLICIES. RECONCILIATION BILL PASSES IN CONGRESS.// -----BEGIN TEARLINE------International Events-Germany: Dissent is mounting following a wave of assaults at public swimming pools throughout the nation. Following the assault of 8x children by Syrian immigrants last week, German authorities have implemented a nationwide media campaign to educate immigrants to the idea that it is not acceptable to assault children.Continuing the trend of violent attacks, an unidentified assailant conducted an ax attack on a train in Bavaria this morning. 4x people were wounded in the attack. The assailant has not been identified (as is standard policy) however locals who witnessed the attack state that attacker was Syrian, however this has not been confirmed yet.-HomeFront-Washington D.C. - Despite the recent ruling from the US Supreme Court regarding the judgements of lower courts, a federal judge (Judge Brian Cogan) has blocked the White House's efforts to remove the Temporary Protection Status (TPS) from roughly 500,000 Haitian migrants. Separately, a different judge (Judge Randolph Moss) ruled against President Trump's order to increase scrutiny on those seeking political asylum in the United States from Mexico.-----END TEARLINE-----Analyst Comments: In Congress, controversy continues regarding the Big Beautiful Bill (BBB). Following last-minute political deals, filibusters, and various political moves, the bill was passed in the House today and is expected to be on President Trump's desk for signature tomorrow. Considering this bill's long history, being introduced in the House, sent to the Senate where changes were made, and then sent back to the House, it will probably be some time before the true contents of the omnibus bill are examined closely. Most of the political pork added to the bill to pretend to appease voters in the House was immediately stripped by the Senate, and further changes were made once the bill landed back in the House.Analyst: S2A1Research: https://publish.obsidian.md/s2underground//END REPORT//

In Episode 127 of the MAX Afterburner podcast, Whiz opens with a powerful celebration of progress in the healing space. He highlights Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s recent statement to Congress, where the HHS secretary boldly called for psychedelic therapies to be made available to veterans within the next 12 months. Whiz also spotlights a landmark five-year study from The Ohio State University showing that a single heroic dose of psilocybin helped 67% of participants recover from depression—with no relapse.Whiz then offers a transparent debrief on why the No Fallen Heroes Foundation didn't attend the Psychedelic Science conference in force - 'a self licking ice cream cone & echo chamber'. He expresses concern over the commercialization of the healing movement and directly calls out several for-profit ibogaine clinics in Mexico for price gouging vulnerable veterans and families in crisis. “Healing shouldn't come with a luxury price tag,” he says. The episode takes a deeper turn as Whiz addresses recent criticism surrounding Operation Midnight Hammer and the perceived contradiction of “celebrating war” while preaching healing. He responds with clarity and conviction, saying he is against all war—calling it the ultimate failure of human consciousness. But, he argues, if war must happen, it should be so brutal and unforgiving that it deters future conflict. He also shares a powerful reflection on the archetype of “the man who wanted to be left alone,” framing it as a cautionary tale for a world that pushes healed warriors too far. Finally, Whiz reflects on the last four years of his own journey—filled with setbacks, breakthroughs, and relentless work. He declares this moment “the end of the beginning”—and affirms that the real mission, the deeper healing and transformation, begins now.

(Editor's Note: Welcome to our Reissue series! For the past several weeks, Basic Folk has been digging back into the archives and reposting some of our favorite episodes alongside new introductions commenting on what it's like to listen back. This is our last Reissue for now, so please enjoy! This episode featuring separate interviews with The Indigo Girls (Amy Ray and Emily Saliers) and host Cindy Howes was originally posted winter 2019.)Back in 2019, my now-wife and I attended the inaugural Girls Just Wanna Weekend in Cancun, Mexico, which featured an all-women lineup curated and hosted by Brandi Carlile. I was lucky enough to be able to interview The Indigo Girls there in two separate solo interviews. I still feel nervous thinking about the scene of talking to both Amy Ray and Emily Saliers in each of their (very nice!) hotel suites on my new little Shure mic that connected to my phone. Lucky for me, both Amy and Emily were really into my new mic, so it served as the best possible ice breaker. Each were very generous with their time and with their answers to my unorthodox questions.First I got to speak to Amy Ray, who talks about growing up in a conservative, modest Southern family with her radiologist father and a smart, scholarship-attaining mother. She speaks to how her suburban upbringing and intake of conservative values of the South has influenced her identity. She shares about her father's deep involvement in community service and the impact of her father's generosity on her own activism. I also asked Amy about her sense of fashion and how it challenges traditional gender norms. She talks about her love for creative clothing and that her historically unconventional approach to style serves as a form of activism.Next up: Emily Saliers. She talks about her relationship with guitar playing, tracing it back to childhood lessons at the YMCA and musical members of her family. She also points out how playing electric guitar changed the game, particularly through collaborations with Amy Ray. Emily talks about first solo album, 'Murmuration Nation.' Released in 2017, it took a long time to come to fruition due to challenges and emotional hurdles she faced during its creation. Lyris Hung, longtime Indigo Girls friend, collaborator, and producer – including on that solo album – brought her expansive musical imagination and played a critical role in shaping the record. We also get into Emily's love for hip-hop, specifically political hip-hop, and the profound impact the genre has had on her. Emily ends with talking about her other great love, food, by drawing parallels between the communal nature of music and cuisine, illustrating how both bring people together in meaningful ways.Follow Basic Folk on social media: https://basicfolk.bio.link/Sign up for Basic Folk's newsletter: https://bit.ly/basicfolknewsHelp produce Basic Folk by contributing: https://basicfolk.com/donate/Interested in sponsoring us? Billy Graham was frequently at the White House during the Bush/Regan Administration, yet I never had cause to personally encounter him.I was, however, privy to conversation about Billy Graham since my MK Ultra mind control owner US Senator Robert C Byrd often bragged about controlling him through Voice of God programming. (https://trance-formation.com/voice-of-god/)Unbeknownst to Billy Graham, he was being manipulated to blur the line between church and state, promoting politics to his followers. Graham's followers were strategically increased through DARPA/CIA harmonics, which were also the driving force behind Byrd's Voice of God programming. The formula for mind control is always the same, whether it is of an individual, classroom, military, church, nation, or the world.Harmonics vibrate neuron pathways in the brain for effective means of subconscious manipulation. Scientifically tuned frequencies both audible and subaudible were already being imbedded in popular music to create icons like MK Ultra's notorious Michael Jackson and, above all, to socially engineer the public. Of course this harmonic equipment is used in evangelical movements like it was in Billy Graham's!I'm often asked what I know about Billy Graham since apparently other survivors have named him as a complicit perpeTraitor, and my insight is not intended to discredit their assertions despite my experience being far removed from theirs. Instead, it is imperative to factor MK Ultra into the equation before conclusions are drawn. Consider that mind control is used on those who refuse to comply with the Deep State globalist dark agenda.Intelligence insider Mark Phillips, who was working the highest levels of intelligence to preserve the sanctity of free thought, reported being exposed to information on the MK Ultra manipulation of Billy Graham. Mark was livid to learn how churches – like every other aspect of society- were being covertly infiltrated. This outrage, along with seeing innocent citizens like my daughter and me used deep in the Wash DC MK Ultra human trafficking swamp, added to his determination to expose these crimes against humanity. How fortunate for my daughter and me that Mark chose to lift us free of our victimization. He knew, like experience taught me, that without free thought there is no free will ability to access the strength of the human spirit and infinite power of love. Mind control is ultimately a spiritual battle, which compounds the felony of controlling churches through MK Ultra means. It was my experience to have had exposure to the Jimmy Swaggart dynasty of complicit Deep State globalist controls. Swaggart was aware of harmonic means of manipulation, and chose to use the evangelical route to grow and control a congregation. His infamous admission “I have sinned” was a mere diversionary understatement of his true crimes against humanity.Swaggart's “missions” included MK Ultra mind control human trafficking and CIA cocaine ops. Traveling into Haiti, Mexico, and throughout the Caribbean, missionaries were used to inadvertently transport cocaine for CIA drug ops running through Bill Clinton's Mena operations and the Country Music industry. Further details are in my 1995 testimony for Congress, which was censored under National Security, TRANCE Formation of America. Swaggart's ministries interfaced with Billy Roy Moore's Lord's Chapel in Nashville, which is among several MK Ultra complicit churches I was used through in the 1980's. This gave me insight into Swaggart's Deep State operations that extended through his relatives associated with Country Music industry Mickey Gilley and Johnny Lee.  Read full article on Cathy's website here!

Martin Lew and Joe Lynch discuss beyond the tracks: the next frontier of American rail. Martin is CEO at Commtrex, a tech-enabled rail logistics provider with a team of experienced rail professionals, an extensive network of partners, and a best-in-class technology platform that simplifies the movement of freight and creates a competitive advantage.  About Martin Lew Martin Lew is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Commtrex, the largest tech-enabled logistics platform in North America (US, Canada, and Mexico) for shippers to directly connect with railroads, transloaders, storage facilities, lessors, rail service providers, warehouses, and industry data. Under Lew's leadership, Commtrex has been named to the Freightwaves FreightTech 100 and has established partnerships with all seven class 1 railroads. Prior to Commtrex, Mr. Lew was the Head of Global Sales and Origination for Mabanaft Coal Trading, Vice President and Head of Origination for J.P.Morgan's Coal and Environmental Markets Group, Associate for the North American Coal and Emissions Trading Desk at Bear Stearns, and CEO of Equate Systems. Mr. Lew holds a Juris Doctorate from Boston College Law School, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree with majors in Communications and Political Science from the University of Southern California. About Commtrex Commtrex simplifies the movement of freight by rail with a tech-enabled platform that connects a network of reputable railroads, transloaders, lessors, and other rail service providers across the US, Canada, and Mexico. Commtrex's data-driven approach provides the rail and transload industry with visibility and connectivity that significantly accelerates the amount of time it takes for shippers to procure the services needed to manage their freight by rail. With a community of 4,000+ active members, including over 1,900 shippers, and partnerships with all six Class I Railroads, Commtrex stands at the forefront of the industry. Discover more at www.commtrex.com. Key Takeaways: Beyond the Tracks: The Next Frontier of American Rail Rail freight industry is exploring innovations like longer trains, digitization, cleaner energy, and inland terminals to enhance efficiency and sustainability. Rail transportation is suitable for high-volume freight over long distances, typically 500-600 miles or more, with a minimum volume equivalent to four to eight truckloads. Railroads move freight in two primary components: intermodal (containers on flatcars) and carload/merchandise commodities. Rail transportation enables efficient, low-carbon freight movement, reducing emissions by 75% compared to trucking. Trucking goods by rail instead of road has sustainability advantages and helps address the shortage of long-haul truck drivers. Commtrex is a platform connecting rail shippers with service providers across the US, Canada, and Mexico, providing visibility and facilitating communication. Short-line railroads transport freight from Class 1 railroads to the final destination, often using transloading facilities for last-mile delivery. The freight visibility platform Commtrex assists shippers in locating facilities and services required for rail transportation. Rail freight provides cost savings, sustainability benefits, and supply chain diversification/flexibility for shippers moving commodities or bulk goods. Commtrex connect shippers, logistics providers, railroads, facilitating rail freight growth to support nearshoring and environmental goals. Our analysts Michael Zezas and Ariana Salvatore discuss the upcoming expiration of reciprocal tariffs and the potential impacts for U.S. trade.Read more insights from Morgan Stanley.----- Transcript -----Michael Zezas: Welcome to Thoughts on the Market. I'm Michael Zezas, global Head of Fixed Income Research and Public Policy Strategy.Ariana Salvatore: And I'm Ariana Salvatore, US Public Policy Strategist.Michael Zezas: Today we're talking about the outlook for US trade policy. It's Wednesday, July 2nd at 10:00 AM in New York.We have a big week ahead as next Wednesday marks the expiration of the 90 day pause on reciprocal tariffs. Ariana, what's the setup?Ariana Salvatore: So this is a really key inflection point. That pause that you mentioned was initiated back on April 9th, and unless it's extended, we could see a reposition of tariffs on several of our major trading partners. Our base case is that the administration, broadly speaking, tries to kick the can down the road, meaning that it extends the pause for most countries, though the reality might be closer to a few countries seeing their rates go up while others announce bilateral framework deals between now and next week. But before we get into the key assumptions underlying our base case. Let's talk about the bigger picture. Michael, what do we think the administration is actually trying to accomplish here?Michael Zezas: So when it comes to defining their objectives, we think multiple things can be true at the same time. So the administration's talked about the virtue of tariffs as a negotiating tactic. They've also floated the idea of a tiered framework for global trading partners. Think of it as a ranking system based on trade deficits, non tariff barriers, VAT levels, and any other characteristics that they think are important for the bilateral trade relationship. A lot of this is similar to the rhetoric we saw ahead of the April 2nd "Liberation Day" tariffs.Ariana Salvatore: Right, and around that time we started hearing about the potential, at least for bilateral trade deals, but have we seen any real progress in that area?Michael Zezas: Not much, at least not publicly, aside from the UK framework agreement. And here's an important detail, three of our four largest trading partners aren't even scoped for higher rates next week. Mexico and Canada were never subject to the reciprocal tariffs. And China's on a separate track with this Geneva framework that doesn't expire until August 12th. So we're not expecting a sweeping overhaul by Wednesday.Ariana Salvatore: Got it. So what are the scenarios that we're watching?Michael Zezas: So there's roughly three that we're looking at and let me break them down here.So our base case is that the administration extends the current pause, citing progress in bilateral talks, and maybe there's a few exceptions along the way in either direction, some higher and some lower. This broadly resets the countdown clock, but keeps the current tariff structure intact: 10% baseline for most trading partners, though some potentially higher if negotiations don't progress in the next week. That outcome would be most in line, we think, with the current messaging coming out of the administration. There's also a more aggressive path if there's no visible progress. For example, the administration could reimpose tariffs with staggered implementation dates. The EU might face a tougher stance due to the complexity of that relationship and Vietnam could see delayed threats as a negotiating tactic. A strong macro backdrop, resilient data for markets that could all give the administration cover to go this route. But there's also a more constructive outcome. The administration can announce regional or bilateral frameworks, not necessarily full trade deals, but enough to remove the near term threat of higher tariffs, reducing uncertainty, though maybe not to pre-2024 levels.Ariana Salvatore: So wide bands of uncertainty, and it sounds like the more constructive outcome is quite similar to our base case, which is what we have in place right now. But translating that more aggressive path into what that means for the economy, we think it would reinforce our house view that the risks here are skewed to the downside. Our economists estimate that tariffs begin to impact inflation about four months after implementation with the growth effects lagging by about eight months. That sets us up for weak but not quite recessionary growth. We're talking 1% GDP on an annual basis in 2025 and 2026, and the tariff passed through to prices and inflation data probably starting in August.Michael Zezas: So bottom line, watch carefully on Wednesday and be vigilant for changes to the status quo on tariff levels. There's a lot of optionality in how this plays out, as trade policy uncertainty in the aggregate is still high. Ariana, thanks for taking the time to talk.Ariana Salvatore: Great speaking with you, Michael.Michael Zezas: And if you enjoy Thoughts on the Market, please leave us a review wherever you listen and share the podcast with a friend or colleague today.

Double Tap Episode 416 This episode of Double Tap is brought to you by: Gideon Optics, XTech Tactical, Die Free Co., Medical Gear Outfitters, Mitchell Defense, and Blue Alpha   Welcome to Double Tap, episode 416! Your hosts tonight are Jeremy Pozderac, Aaron Krieger, Nick Lynch, and me Shawn Herrin, welcome to the show! GOALS   August 9th and 10th in Knoxville, Tennessee. Knoxville Convention Center Free to GOA members https://events.goa.org/goals/ - Dear WLS A-in-your-face. WLS is life - Long story short, I had a medical event while on vacation in Mexico and the care there sucked! (I do not recommend) A med kit wouldn't have helped my situation much but it got me thinking. In the states when I travel via vehicle, I always have at least one pretty stocked med kit on me. But I have never thought to take a minimum of supplies when I fly on vacation or when I travel to other countries. What things would you recommend in a travel kit, at a minimum? Thinking that you dont have your vehicle, might be in another country, and may have restrictions on the things you bring? I am thinking a small minimum kit of a couple essentials would be smart... #no_notes Sean M - Suppressor Mount Question, I'm putting together a BRN180 with an 10.5" 5.56 barrel and have a Griffin GP7 ready to go. Being that it will need a thread adapter (from 1/2-28 to 5/8-24) would it be better to pin and weld or silver solder that setup?   A-ARONS lost foot - I recently bought my first lever action gun and I don't know to go Red Dot route or if I should go lpbo route. I bought a Marlin 1895 BL and 4570 and in terms of use case, it's going to be arranged toy. Could be used for hunting for the down the road, but possibility is open. with the cast do a red dot or lpvo and just thoughts of why they went with that decision if they were me? Thanks my dudes Alex W - I've been listening to this podcast every week for 5 years. How the fuck did I not know that Shawn and Jeremy play DnD??   Dane G - Hello wls. First off love the show guys. Looking at starting a home ffl. Was thinking of using rocketffl to get started. I think Shawn used them to get started and was wondering the process of it. I know you use an office space, would you recommend that so my home address isn't public? Feel like that's putting a huge target on my home. Thanks guys. Ps. If I was gay I'd suck your titties Shawn. Dutch Walker - My Mitchell Defense story. Roughly a year ago, I picked up a Mitchell Defense rifle in 6 ARC. I was excited when they started offering this caliber, especially after hearing high praise from Shawn and Nick. An interview with Nathan Mitchell, the company's founder, sealed the deal, and I ordered one right away.First Impressions out of the box, the rifle looked fantastic, the components were of high quality and I was eager to take it to the range. The rifle ran smoothly, cycling perfectly with or without a suppressor. But when I tested its accuracy my groups at 100 yards were consistently over 3 inches, no matter the ammo. To make sure it wasn't me, I shot other ARs, including another in 6 ARC, and got sub-MOA groups. I contacted Mitchell Defense, and Nathan himself called me to talk through the issue. He immediately sent an RMA for the upper. His team wasn't satisfied with its performance either, so they upgraded me to a Proof carbon fiber barrel at no extra cost—a serious step up. Unfortunately, the new barrel had the same problem. I'd get three shots grouped tightly, but two would stray 2-3 inches in random directions. I sent Nathan photos of my groups, and he replied with some troubleshooting tips. Sometime later, when I emailed him to let him know I was heading to the range to try his suggestions, he called again. This time, he said they'd found an issue with certain Proof barrels and sent another RMA. A few weeks ago, I got my rifle back with a new Proof barrel. Last weekend, despite 17-20 mph crosswinds,

Today, we're speaking with Matt Bowles, a longtime Palestinian human rights activist. With a Master's Degree in International Peace and Conflict Resolution, Matt has over two decades of human rights and activism experience. He led activist delegations to monitor human rights abuses in the north of Ireland, co-founded an organization to stop U.S. aid to Israel, organized solidarity delegations to the West Bank and Gaza Strip, and did solidarity work with the indigenous Zapatista communities in Chiapas, Mexico. In the past few years, many more people around the world have tuned in to the injustice that has been happening in Palestine for the past 75 years. If you want to understand the origins of this injustice AND what you can do to help stop it, this episode is for you. I first became immersed in the struggle for Palestinian liberation in 2017, when I visited the West Bank and saw the Israeli soldiers at checkpoints, the humiliation of people, the treatment of Arabs like second-class citizens, and the Israeli system of apartheid with my own eyes. Matt has been working on Palestinian solidarity since 1998. It has been so helpful to hear the perspective of someone with this much longer view on the struggle.
