Man müsste mal...anerkennen, dass Adipositas eine chronische Erkrankung ist! Mit 150 Kilogramm fing es an. Naja, nicht wirklich. Für Beatrice Rothe(56) hörte es damit eigentlich auf. „So ging es nicht weiter!“, sagt sie und berichtet von einem Erlebnis beim Gynäkologen, das den Weg zum Abnehmen bereitete. Sie ist 164 cm groß und wiegt heute 75 Kilogramm. „Adipositas gilt medizinisch als chronische Erkrankung und ist nach aktuellem Wissensstand nicht heilbar“, stellt sie klar „Beatrice hat einen ganzen Menschen abgenommen“, unterstreicht Anne Voege (44) die eindrucksvollen Zahlen. Sie selbst ist 156 cm groß und wog vor einem halben Jahr 141,5 Kilogramm. „Völlig klar, ich habe einfach immer zu viele gegessen und wurde immer dicker“, sagt sie, „Zum Glück hatte ich noch keine Begleit- oder Folgeerkrankungen. ZU meinem Hausarzt habe ich gesagt, ich wolle einfach nur gesund bleiben“. „Erwachsene mit Adipositas haben eine niedrigere Lebenserwartung und ein erhöhtes Risiko für chronische Krankheiten. Adipositas ist also nicht “nur” ein kosmetisches Problem, es ist ein medizinisches Problem, das das Risiko für andere Erkrankungen und Gesundheitsprobleme (z.B. Diabetes mellitus, Bluthochdruck, Herzinfarkt, Schlaganfall, Fettleber, verschiedene Krebsformen, Schlafapnoe) erhöht“, heißt es auf der Internetseite der Deutschen Adipositas Gesellschaft. Der Weg von Beatrice und Anne führte in das Adipositaszentrum Schwerin und in die Selbsthilfegruppe „Gemeinsam von dick zu dünn“. Man müsste mal … darum kämpfen, einen Stadtteilpark auch für die Generationen zu erhalten! Die Fläche eines öffentlichen Stadtteilparks mit einem Spielplatz in Schwerin Lankow soll verkauft werden. Für die Redaktion der Online-Zeitung „SCHWERIN.NEWS“ wurde der erste Schritt bereits 2020 gemacht. „Damals beschloss der Hauptausschuss der Landeshauptstadt Schwerin im nichtöffentlichen Teil, das Gelände des Stadtteilparks Lankow zu verkaufen. Nichtöffentlich heißt in diesem Zusammenhang nicht nur „ohne Zuschauer“. Es bedeutet: keine öffentliche Tagesordnung, keine öffentliche Diskussion, keine Möglichkeit für Bürgerinnen und Bürger, überhaupt zu erfahren, dass gerade über ihren öffentlichen Raum entschieden wird.“ Und genau darin sehen die Initiatoren des Bürgerentscheids das Problem. Es sei legitim, Dinge in nicht-öffentlicher Sitzung zu besprechen, meint Klaus-Michael Rothe, der sich für den Erhalt des Parks einsetzt. „Aber es ist im höchsten Maße unanständig, auch drum herum keine Öffentlichkeit stattfinden zu lassen“, sagt er. Claudia Reinke wohnt seit 26 Jahren in Lankow. Ihre Tochter hat im Park gespielt und sie selber ist immer wieder gerne dort. Beide sind sich sicher, dass eine öffentliche Debatte über den möglichen Verkauf des Stadtteilparks einen spannenden Verlauf genommen hätte, denn der Stadtteilpark und der Spielplatz sollen Parkplätzen, Arztpraxen, Verkaufs- und Gewerbeflächen und einigen wenigen Wohnungen weichen. Alles in der Hand eines privaten Investors. Das macht aus Sicht von Anwohnern und Kritikern keinen Sinn. Ihre zahlreichen Argumente haben sie zusammengetragen und nach einem Weg gesucht, den Park samt Spielplatz zu erhalten. Ihre Antwort ist ein Griff in die Werkzeugkiste der Demokratie: Bürgerbegehren und Bürgerentscheid und sehr viel Engagement. Im Sommer 2025 bringen sie in nur wenigen Wochen in der ganzen Stadt fast 4.400 gültige Stimmen für den Erhalt des Parks im Rahmen eines Bürgerbegehrens zusammen. Damit bremsen sie den bereits beschlossenen Verkauf zunächst erfolgreich aus und ermöglichen einen Bürgerentscheid. Nun sind 78.523 Schwerinerinnen und Schweriner an der Reihe. Sie haben die Möglichkeit bis zum 25. Januar 2026 abzustimmen. Eine seltene Möglichkeit der direkten demokratischen Beteiligung. „Sind Sie dafür, dass das Grundstück Kieler Straße (Flurstück 313/4, Flur 3, Gemarkung Lankow), Stadtteilpark/ Spielplatz im Eigentum der Stadt verbleibt, nicht verkauft wird und der Spielplatz und Park an diesem Standort erhalten bleiben?“ lautet die Frage. Die Antwort kann nur lauten: JA oder NEIN. 19.631 JA-Stimmen sind nötig, um den Erhalt des Stadtteilparks und des Spielplatzes zu sichern. Die Amsel ist ein Dinosaurier, genauso wie das Huhn und die Taube. Denn sie stammen direkt von Dinosauriern ab. Heute weiß man: Ihre Vorfahren sind am Ende der Kreidezeit vor 66 Millionen Jahren nicht wie die meisten anderen Dinosaurier ausgestorben. Doch Paläontologie ist vielmehr als nur die Forschung über Tyrannosaurus Rex, Triceratops oder Brachiosaurus. Es ist die Rekonstruktion der Geschichte des Lebens auf der Erde - und zwar durch verschiedene Arten von Fossilien. Auch versteinerte Spuren und Exkremente gehören dazu. Dinosaurier sind dabei vermutlich bis heute nicht nur die bekanntesten, sondern auch die beliebtesten Zeugen aus der Milliarden Jahre alten Geschichte des Lebens auf der Erde. Die ersten versteinerten Skelette von Protoceratops und Co. haben vermutlich schon fahrende Händler im antiken Griechenland ausgegraben. Römische Kaiser wie Augustus haben Museen für diese Fossilienfunde gegründet. Viele Jahrhunderte lang war dieses Wissen vergessen – bis es im 18. und 19. Jahrhundert wiederentdeckt wurde. The phenomenon is called Apport.   In parapsychology and Spiritualism, an apport is the alleged paranormal transference of an article from one place to another, or an appearance of an article from an unknown source that is often associated with poltergeist activity or séances. Apports reported during séances have been found to be the result of deliberate fraud.  No medium or psychic has demonstrated the manifestation of an apport under scientifically controlled conditions. History A famous apport fraud is attributed to Charles Bailey (1870–1947). During a séance, Bailey produced two live birds seemingly out of thin air, but was undone when the dealer who sold him the birds appeared in the crowd. Common objects that are produced are stones, flowers, perfumes, and animals. These objects are said to be "gifts" from the spirit(s). In March 1902 in Berlin, police officers interrupted a séance of the apport medium Frau Anna Rothe. Her hands were grabbed and she was wrestled to the ground. A female police assistant physically examined Rothe and discovered 157 flowers as well as oranges and lemons hidden in her petticoat. She was arrested and charged with fraud.[4] After a trial lasting six days she was sentenced to eighteen months imprisonment. In 1926, Heinrich Melzer was exposed as a fraud as he was caught in the séance room with small stones attached to the back of his ears by flesh coloured tape. According to neurologist Terence Hines "Some female mediums went so far as to conceal in their vagina or anus objects to be 'apported' during the seance and gauzy fabric that would become 'ectoplasm' during the seance. These were places that Victorian gentlemen, no matter how skeptical, were highly unlikely to ask to search." There are many cases where apports have been smuggled into the séance room. Other apport mediums that were exposed as frauds were Lajos Pap and Maria Silbert.[ Victims of such incidents think they merely forgot where they had placed the objects, and dismiss these experiences from their minds. But sometimes, what is lost is something of value and never appears again. Such is the case of a man who lives alone in the same condo where I hold office. He told me that $100 to $500 disappear from his wallet every now and then. Since he lives alone, the money could not have been stolen from him, this is probably the work of elementals, which are often mischievous or naughty and make life miserable for some people. Elementals are also called “nature spirits.” They correspond to the four elements of matter identified by the ancient Greek philosopher Empedocles (495-435 BC) and later by the 15th-century Swiss physician, alchemist and astrologer Paracelsus (1493-1541). He classified these invisible creatures or nature spirits into four categories: gnomes (earth), undines (water), sylphs (air) and salamanders (fire). They help preserve the balance of nature. Most elementals, however, are harmless and should not be feared, but their presence can be annoying because they are capable of doing mischief, like hiding or making personal objects disappear. Most of the time, however, they return such objects, but in another place in the house or office. Two weeks ago, one heavy book I was reading disappeared from my desk at home and I could not find it. After three days, the book suddenly appeared under my bed in my library at home. It was found by my housekeeper when she cleaned the library. How it got there, nobody knew, of course. I was just thankful it was returned to me. The only thing I can suggest when such things happen to you is to try to talk to such creatures, even if you feel foolish for doing so, and plead to them to return your missing items. If you can find a clairvoyant or psychic who can see and talk to them, so much the better.

Se cumple un mes desde el ataque el 7 de octubre del movimiento palestino Hamas, considerado terrorista por la Unión Europea, que dejó al menos 1400 muertos y 240 secuestrados, en su gran mayoría civiles. Nuestro corresponsal, Joan Cabasés Vega, entrevistó a varios israelíes en Jerusalén con ocasión de este aniversario. Hoy es 7 de noviembre, pero, un mes después, muchos israelíes sienten que el 7 de octubre nunca terminó. Michel Rothe, israelí de unos 70 años, atiende a RFI en Jerusalén y lo hace mientras observa un homenaje a los israelíes secuestrados en Gaza. Para él, la misión por el rescate de los cautivos justifica la actual ofensiva israelí contra la franja."No olvides que parte de los secuestrados son gente mayor y bebés. ¿Cómo podría el mundo aceptar algo así? Aunque existe una fracción residual de israelíes que están en contra de la ofensiva contra Hamas en Gaza, Levin afirma con convencimiento que el 100% del país la apoya. Se muestra, además, muy frustrado con Europa."Ochenta años atrás, seis millones de judíos fueron asesinados por el nazismo y mucha gente en Europa no hizo nada para ayudarlos. Hay gente que se manifiesta en ciudades europeas con banderas palestinas, dando apoyo a Hamas. Es exactamente como decir que no les importa que los judíos estén siendo asesinados sin ningún motivo en 2023”, dice Levin y agrega que el fin del conflicto depende de los palestinos."Golda Meir, que fue primera ministra de Israel, decía que ‘si Israel deja las armas, habrá un genodicio. Y si los árabes dejan las armas, habrá paz'. Así que cuando los árabes dejen las armas, habrá paz. Tienes que hacerles las preguntas a ellos.
