In an enlightening episode of the 'Raising Private Money' podcast, host Jay Conner is joined by Brian Davis, a seasoned real estate expert. Having founded the innovative Spark Rental, Brian shares invaluable insights on how both novice and experienced investors can achieve financial freedom through co-investing and private money. Coupled with his advice on intentional lifestyle design, Brian presents a blueprint for transforming how we perceive work, time, and investments. The Concept of Co-Investing: A Gateway for Middle-Class InvestorsThe cornerstone of Brian's approach lies in making real estate investments accessible to middle-class investors. His Co-Investing Club offers a compelling solution, allowing members to pool resources and bypass the traditionally prohibitive entry costs of real estate syndications and equity funds.Unlike conventional investments, which require significant capital, the club invites members to engage with just a $5 minimum investment. This model not only opens doors for those with limited resources but also offers diversification for those with larger investment capabilities. Through collective vetting of high-return, low-risk opportunities—deemed "asymmetric returns" by Brian—the club democratizes access to quality real estate investments.Demystifying Asymmetric Returns: High Gains, Low RisksBrian introduces the idea of asymmetric returns, challenging the traditional assumption that high returns are inherently tied to high risks. Instead, he encourages a more nuanced view, recognizing investments as multifaceted opportunities influenced by factors beyond risk and return. For instance, liquidity, time commitment, and investment minimums play pivotal roles in crafting a balanced portfolio. By understanding these dynamics, investors can seek opportunities that offer substantial returns with controlled risk exposure. Brian's investment club is a testament to this, strategically positioning its members to tap into diverse, high-performing assets without conventional barriers. The Role of Lifestyle Design in Financial FreedomBeyond investments, Brian advocates for conscious lifestyle design—a principle that resonates deeply with his life as an expatriate. With his family, Brian has crafted a lifestyle that prioritizes experiences and financial efficiency over traditional job constraints. By leveraging international living, they enjoy significant cost savings while accessing rich cultural experiences.Lifestyle design is more than a trending concept. It's an intentional process where individuals identify their core values and align their life decisions accordingly. Brian emphasizes the importance of financial planning, location independence, and work flexibility in this journey. By focusing on what truly matters, individuals can design lives that are not only financially sustainable but also deeply fulfilling.Steps to Your Ideal Life: Embracing the Five FreedomsBrian outlines a practical framework called the "Five Freedoms" to aid listeners in mapping their ideal lives:Financial Freedom: Eliminate financial stress by establishing a sturdy monetary foundation—encompassing budgeting, savings, and emergency funds.Time Freedom: Adjust your work schedule to gain control over your hours, enabling a healthier work-life balance.Location Freedom: Decide where you want to live and work, embracing opportunities that might lie beyond your current locale.Work Freedom: Pursue work that aligns with your passions and values, recognizing that true satisfaction often comes from doing meaningful work.Comprehensive Financial Independence: While complete financial freedom is desirable, achieving work freedom allows for a balanced fulfillment between personal dreams and financial responsibilities. Conclusion: The Journey AheadBrian's innovative inves

With a tight deadline, groups are campaigning to raise the remaining funds to ensure the suit goes forward. As part of the banning so many owners face the fact that the ban is based on measurements.  Or as it stands there is only one measurement which is 19 inches or more in height. A chunky build, some wrinkles, and muscular shoulder blade are the definitions.Felix explains why she on realising this, and that her Boxer, Sammy, fits this ‘type' measurement (as do millions of other breeds and mixes). Understanding the fear of going out with your dog Pet Trust UK has created a digital dog tag containing proof of insurance, exemption, vets, and a raft of other valuable information be in one place - making supplying proof of paperwork is simple in the event its needed. As a landmark situation years after the Dangerous Dogs Act has clearly not worked, the Judicial review will challenge its restrictions as breaking the Animal Welfare Act, and the Five Freedoms. In this episode of The Chihuahua Podcast we look at the five freedoms / domains of animal welfare and how they apply to your Chihuahua. The Five Freedoms is a framework for animal welfare that outlines five essential domains or areas of focus to ensure the well-being of animals. These Five Freedoms were first developed by the UK Farm Animal Welfare Council in the 1960s and have since been widely adopted and adapted for various species and contexts. The Five Freedoms are: Freedom from Hunger and Thirst / Nutrition: Animals must have access to an appropriate and balanced diet, as well as clean water to maintain health and vigor. Freedom from Discomfort / Environment: Animals should be provided with an environment that offers shelter, space, and resting areas to avoid discomfort or suffering due to environmental conditions. Freedom from Pain, Injury, or Disease / Health: Animals should receive proper medical care and attention to prevent, diagnose, and treat illnesses or injuries. This includes appropriate prevention and management strategies. Freedom to Express Normal Behaviour: Animals must be allowed to engage in natural behaviours and movements that are essential to their physical and psychological well-being. This includes providing space, opportunities for exercise, and mental stimulation. Freedom from Fear and Distress / mental state / experiences: Animals should not experience fear or distress that may be caused by inappropriate handling, living conditions, or treatment. Minimizing stress and ensuring humane handling and care are crucial aspects of this freedom. These Five Freedoms provide a comprehensive framework for assessing and improving animal welfare across a wide range of species and settings, from farm animals and companion animals to animals in research and wildlife conservation. They serve as a guide for ethical and responsible treatment of animals and are widely used as a basis for animal welfare legislation, standards, and guidelines. Host Gail Buhl caught up with Dr. Michelle Willette of Partners For Wildlife and The Raptor Center at The University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Willette shares her expertise on the ever-evolving and sometimes controversial topic of animal welfare. Welfare isn't something we give to an animal, she says, rather it's a state of being that exists with the right inputs and conditions for that animal. Dr. Willette is pursuing a board certification in Animal Welfare, a relatively new sub-specialty within veterinary medicine in the U.S. Since animals cannot speak their preferences and feelings in quite the way we can, veterinarians must look for clues that signal their wellbeing. Evaluating animal welfare takes place through the lenses of different ethical frameworks. Listen for buzz phrases such as "The Five Freedoms" and "The Five Domains" of animal welfare. The evolution of animal welfare as a discipline has unfolded over generations and encompasses a vast body of knowledge, so this episode is just a taste of how we decide what a good quality of life is for an animal. Stay tuned for future episodes, as Gail and Dr. Willette plan to revisit this topic in even greater depth. CW: This episode contains descriptions of aquatic animal death. Episode Transcript Episode Guide :00 Intro 01:21 Started by a hedge fund trader, the Aquatic Life Institute (ALI) seeks to reduce the suffering of aquatic animals in the global food system, previously missing from broader animal rights discussions, by focusing on the highest-impact welfare interventions. 08:19 The ALI operates according to the principles of effective altruism, a philosophical approach using evidence and careful reasoning to prioritize efforts to do the most good with limited resources. 11:55 The ALI is a solutions broker dedicated to improving the lives of aquatic animals. 15:02 The ALI created five key welfare pillars for aquaculture based on the Five Freedoms approach. 20:44 Aquaculture standards can improve their animal welfare practices and here's how. 25:29 Insect farming for aquaculture feed is a no for the ALI. 29:21 Animal welfare in wild capture fisheries is a newer, yet critically important, discussion. 34:11 Is the ALI advocating that we stop eating fish? John explains why Ireland has a poor reputation when it comes to animal welfare despite legislation including The Animal Welfare Act and the Control of Dogs Act, Parliament is divided. "Dog Advocacy Ireland is openly inviting ALL right-minded dog/animal lovers to join our non-profit organisation in forging meaningful change of mindset and policy on dog/animal welfare protection in our country. We want Government to uphold current legislation, under the Animal welfare Act 2013 which includes the duty of care under the Five Freedoms. Similarly, Dog Advocacy Ireland  wants to ensure that local authorities work proactively in line with the ‘Control of Dogs Act' to encourage and support responsible dog ownership. Bringing dog welfare centre stage in public consciousness, together with cooperative engagement with the political system, is paramount in effecting meaningful change. John discusses why government's abdication of statutory responsibilities on dog/animal welfare protection legislation has reached intolerable levels. TRANSCRIPT (Hearts of Oak) And hello, Hearts of Oak. Thank you once again for joining us. It's absolutely wonderful to have Naomi Wolf, Dr Naomi Wolf back with us once again. Naomi, thank you for your time today. (Dr Naomi Wolf) Thank you so much for having me on again. I really appreciate it. (HoO) No, it's wonderful having you. And if people don't know already how to follow you, at Naomi R Wolf down at the bottom on GETTR, dailyclout.io. And Twitter actually, I saw you've been let back and you're still looking at, but no apology for the restriction of information and the harm it's done. So yeah, what are your thoughts on that? (NW) Yeah, well, I haven't tweeted yet because I'm waiting to be advised by my lawyer because we have initiated a gigantic lawsuit against Twitter and these other wrongdoers who have. Colluded illegally to suppress my constitutional First Amendment rights. A private company is free to censor whom they want, but in the United States, they're not free to get together with the CDC and the Department of Homeland Security and the White House, all of whom have been confirmed to have colluded with Twitter. So I'm waiting, but as you noted. I did post on GETTR that I don't think it's cute at all. I don't understand people's kind of, you know, oh, hooray, welcome back. It's so exciting. These people, you know, we shouldn't have ever let them become our town square. We shouldn't have ever given up the way human beings communicate with each other. We should not have let, you know, local newspapers die for lack of subscribers because people got seduced by free news and the free news got scooped up by Facebook and Twitter. This is on us and we should never again let ourselves be kind of grateful for having our rights given to us. We've seen how that works. So they destroyed my life. I mean. In many ways, I took a six figure hit for my company. Investors pull out when Twitter castigated me around the world as a crazy person at the behest of my government for whom I had voted. So I don't think it's cute. I don't think it's funny. And I'm not going to, you know, I'm not going to go without a fight. They're going to pay for what they did. And it's not just about me. It's about every single voice that was silenced. It's about the principle of private companies, you know, engaging in literally the definition of fascism by coordinating with governments to suppress freedom of speech and dissent. (HoO) Yeah, not completely. The other way people can follow you, of course, is Substack. So naomiwolf.substack.com and you get those directly in your inbox. And that's also a way of supporting you because what you're doing doesn't come cheap. We'll talk about the volunteer team, but I guess Substack is one way that people can sign up for free, but also they can go for a paid service and that helps you do what you're doing. (NW) I appreciate you mentioning that. Thank you. to be super clear that my sub stack is my personal kind of platform on which I share all of my writerly thoughts as a writer and it doesn't go to daily clout. I just want people to know that if they want to support daily clout, would please that it, you know, that is super important, especially because we have five legal teams, demanding justice of the evil doers of the last two and a half years, which is very, very expensive. So people can get all my substack on daily clout, but they can also get the work of the 3,500 experts that the amazing project director and our COO now, Amy Kelly has organized into a research fighting force that's breaking headline after headline about what's in the Pfizer documents.  And we've got a number of really important initiatives to support in 2023. One of them is clean voting, clean, you know, we're going to pass clean voting bills in 50 states and federally. And of course. We're aiming, as I may have told you last time, at launching a daily clout UK as soon as we can get the funding. But yes, thank you for mentioning that Peter right out of the gate, because we are in this crazy time in which they're like, I don't know, maybe under 50 really committed freedom fighters with national or global platforms. And so many people are grateful to all of us, but not as many people actually realize we have to pay the bills, we have to pay hosting, we have to pay for equipment, production costs, editors, videographers, and all that support counts. And to your organization as well, I hope everyone's sending Christmas gifts and Hanukkah gifts to Hearts of Oak because that's really important to you. (HoO) Thank you. Thank you. And of course, this time of year, Christmas time is time for gifts. And we, I think the first time you're on, we looked at your book, The Body of Others, and that is available. If it's too late to get a hardback, I know it's available on e-book and downloadable as an audiobook. What's the deal with that being available? Obviously I'm here in the UK, it's probably not a book which you would find in your local bookshop. What's the deal over in the US? Has that been restricted at all? Is it simply available online from your website and from Amazon? What's the situation? (NW) Yeah, well Amazon, thanks for asking. Amazon did play a lot of silly games in trying to restrict access. Amazon is one of the bad guys in the bodies of others. So that wasn't surprising. That seems to have calmed down, but you're quite right that all of my books, I've been doing this for 35 years, right? I've written seven bestsellers and most of them have been bestsellers in Britain. And I've longstanding ties with the UK. I lived in the UK for many years. I lived in Scotland for many years, Oxford. Literally everybody in Britain who says they go into Waterstones or they go into even Blackwell's or any bookstore asking for my book, it's not out. The Body of Others is not out. And there's a kind of grudging willingness to order it. And the same is true in the United States. I mean, it was bizarre. We sold more copies for a number of weeks than the copies that were on the New York Times bestseller list of other books. Like thousands and thousands more copies. The New York Times just would not put me on its best seller list. So, you know, the body of others has had a journey, but it's getting into the hands of readers. You can get it on Amazon, I believe. You can get it, sometimes Amazon will say, we don't ship there, which is something Amazon never says about anything else anywhere. And you can get it at allseasonspress.com, but I do want to tell people, very exciting. There's a gift boxed set that's just been made available of my book and Robert Kennedy Jr's The Real Anthony Fauci together. And I really do think that's so exciting, quite historic because I do feel like those books should be read side by side. R.F.K Jr's book really tells the inside story of the crimes of Dr. Fauci, not just now, but leading up to now. He's not new at crime. And my book kind of gives the social and cultural and economic background for how Dr. Fauci exploited, and probably helped to launch the illnesses and promoted these injections of the last two and a half years. To the detriment of all of us. So I'm really excited to tell people that that's out there. Encourage them to gift it to your loved ones, especially those who don't believe any of it. It is a perfect Christmas present. It is a perfect gift to people. And that box says available on dailyclout.io. It's just there on the left-hand side. People can click on it and order it. (HoO) Now, Naomi, you've founded Daily Clout back in 2016. And this year, 2022, you've done an overview of what it's been like in the three areas, you kind of focused on in it were what legal webinars to help citizens fight back against officials and employers. Five freedoms, draft legislation to protect freedoms. Pfizer vaccine trial research. Now, certainly for me personally, it's the Pfizer vaccine trial research that I know much more about. Tell us about the legal webinars because many people have found themselves in problems, certainly at the workplace and in different areas with officials with the tyranny we've all faced. So tell us about those webinars. And how they can assist the public. (NW) Sure. Oh, just to note, I co founded it with a co founder named Lisa Thomas. But I am the CEO and president. And so thank you for that summary of our huge, you know, milestones in 2022. Again, with everyone's support, we could not have done it without the support of your audience and, and others. So the legal webinars are really an incredible model. Most of them have been with this lawyer in Buffalo, New York, named James Ostrowski, and he is a fierce freedom fighter, but he's also very, very good at explaining legal processes to people. A huge part of our mission in our kind of core deliverable is that we aim to demystify legislation. We aim to make democracy more usable by absolutely anyone, to disintermediate the experts who are trying to shut people out of the process. And so it's definitely on mission for us on brand to have a wonderful lawyer explaining to people, saving them thousands of dollars, how they can file their own lawsuits, civil suits, and also file criminal charges. So he did two really powerful webinars, one in which he explained to people who were very upset about, at that point, masking children in schools and injecting children, and teens with mRNA injections in schools without parental consent. In the United States, he taught people how to file civil charges themselves basically against any elected official from the school board all the way up to the governor you know all the way up to on a federal level which I love like why not right these people are absolute criminals and they need to be personally accountable because so much of what we saw in the last two and a half years came from a clear sense of impunity you know these people thought they would never be held accountable personally and the other thing he taught people is how to file criminal charges with, for instance, your local sheriff's office. For instance, if they're masking your child, you notify the authorities that they're engaging in child abuse. And that's not a slam dunk. You still have to have enforcement. But it did, I know that all of these citizens filing all of these actions across the country, whether they were gestural or not, whether the authorities followed up or not, did create second thoughts and it changed the atmosphere. And as a former political consultant, and the same with the Five Freedoms campaign, where we met with legislators in five states to pass bills ending the state of emergency, mask mandates, ending vaccine mandates, allowing freedom of assembly, and opening schools because at that time schools were closed. We may not have passed all those bills in every state, but legislators have told us that the scrutiny and the empowerment of citizens really created a leverage point to break that kind of mass of tyranny and impunity state by state. So I know that that's powerful because people think twice when they get a lawyer's letter or when their criminal charges filed against them. They may not go right to jail, but they don't forge ahead in quite the same way. (HoO) Tell us when you look back because I think one of the main focuses of Daily Clout when I started was looking at legislation and BILLCAM is there and it's quite a unique feature showing what is happening, who's proposed amendments and everything is there. I know from working in parliament here in the UK it's sometimes extremely difficult to find out what is happening to make any sense of it. But that was your focus and what's happened over the last 18 months or so is probably a move away from that, although it is looks to look at legislation, but many other attacks. As you kind of finish the year, what are your thoughts as you look back on what actually Daily Clout have achieved in a changing environment, I guess?  (NW) I love your questions. Thank you. Well, just, you know, you're right to notice that Daily Clout the editorial side has really, I wouldn't say split away from legislation, the legislative focus but you know expanded because of the the urgent civil rights threat posed by mandated vaccines. Like we're not, we weren't founded for health freedom. A lot of the people we work with, a lot of our allies, you know, were founded for health freedom. But right now in history in the West, certainly and globally, the way that human liberties are being restricted and human life is being threatened, and crimes are being committed is through the weaponization of medicine or medical discourse medical interventions, medical interventions. So that we have devoted a ton of editorial focus to that. But the, the kind of product side is, is still robust and we're kind of increasingly separating these into kind of two, not two companies, but two brands really, because we are just launching our business to business product, which I'm so, so excited about where you can, you know, if you're an advocacy organization, can get just if you do you know health care you can get just health care legislation in your own portal if you're in finance you can get just banking legislation in your own portal and so on so that'll empower everyone you know but it'll it'll also be you know specifically focused on presenting legislation in a way that is specific to your own whatever it is you're interested in specifically. And I want to say that 125,000 people have used, BILLCAM a month. So it's really successful. So we're going to keep growing but in parallel tracks. And as you mentioned, Daily Clout itself, the big project that really was the hallmark of 2022 was this amazing assortment 3,500 experts going through the Pfizer documents. And I'm so proud of them and of Amy Kelly. (HoO) But tell us about that because I know we've touched on it before, but that was a mammoth effort. And I guess the data was released in a way that didn't make sense and wasn't possible, to analyse it. Most people then would have put on social media and complained about that. But. Actually it's a different thing to complaining the situation and doing something about it. And you pull together that team and if it wasn't for the efforts of those volunteers connected with Daily Clout, with War Room, then the public wouldn't actually have been aware of all of the failings through that process. (NW) Yeah, that was honestly, I just can't even explain the success of that project without feeling like we had some kind of metaphysical wind at our backs, because you can imagine, And I really cannot take credit for it. I mean, when I tried to say, okay, we're going to put a call out for experts to read these documents, because I really do believe in and I've had good experience like crowdsourcing expertise, that's part of the idea behind BILLCAM, right? Like people can comment on these dense pieces of legislation and illuminate them kind of collectively. But when I went before the great Amy Kelly, I, and even my colleagues, we were hurting cats. I mean, it was like literally beyond anyone's managerial ability or, or even like, how do you even digitally manage 3,500 experts reading through 55,000 documents? But Amy Kelly has supernatural powers of management and organization. I literally don't understand how she does it, but she came in and, you know, the only credit I can take is that I recognize incredible leadership skills when I see them. And she did us the honour of becoming our project manager and now our COO, as well as our project manager. And she just magically organized these 3500 experts in medicine and science, biostatisticians, medical fraud investigators, data analysts, lab clinicians, physicians, nurses into six teams. And then there's kind of an expert group reviewing the work of each of the six teams. And then it goes through a checking process with a meta team. And then it goes through editorials so that we take, and this is again, This is the only other little piece I can take credit for. It's very hard to turn even the most accessible medical writing into journalism that everyone can understand. But it's so important for everyone to understand it. So there's a robust kind of back and forth to get those reports readable. And then we launch them. But I've just got to credit her. And these 3,500 people who are literally around the world working for free, drawing on their expertise, many of them can't even be named because they're kind of doing it surreptitiously because they would get fired, you know, if they use their expertise publicly to help their fellow human beings and to stop the greatest medical fraud in human history and not just greatest medical fraud, but to stop what is clearly turning into a mass murder event. So I just like, it's so beautiful that these 3,500 nameless souls, you know, labour and serve humanity in this way. And we also have these 250 volunteer lawyers, many of whom have now started to write letters, to attorneys general across the United States, warning them of reckless endangerment, of fraud, of misleading advertising, various crimes that Pfizer is committing specifically. (HoO) Well, there are many things which you've helped expose. I know just this week, I think it was a few days ago, you were talking about hypertension. And whenever the layperson hears terms, I think, well, it doesn't sound good. But on the article you put this, known as elevated blood pressure, a serious medical condition that significantly increases the risk of heart, brain, kidney, and other diseases. And you were talking about this of what you've pulled out from the Pfizer, but also from VAERS data, which just adds to everything else that is coming out. Do you want to let us know what you've found on that? (NW) Sure. It's very important. I mean, this team has found so many headlines that really have saved lives, and this is another one. So someone very close to me, whom I cannot name, perfectly healthy 84-year-old woman, perfectly healthy before she got three, injections, Moderna. Was taken to the hospital over the past weekend because of tightness in her chest and they diagnosed hypertension, which literally this is a woman who has eaten right her entire life, exercised her entire life. She's the right weight for her height. She's just everything right. You know, hypertension in our family, nothing, right? And suddenly this manifests. So of course her doctors are like, as they always are, with all of these side effects with everyone I know who's being injured by the vaccines, the doctors like, we have no idea. And then it's literally right there in the Pfizer documents, like whatever it is these people are suffering from that they didn't suffer from before. You know, we do a search with this tool. One of our volunteers created called abstractor and there it is. So I asked Amy Kelly to search for hypertension or high blood pressure in Pfizer documents. And she found 242 different iterations. And then she searched the VAERS database and what the results she got were 108,000 rows of data. So, and the system said, we can't even print this out for you, you have to resubmit under 10,000 rows each. So it was like a signal so massive, it broke the pipeline essentially. And for your audience in the UK, excuse me, and even in the US and around the world, The VAERS database is supposed to be the thing that... of harm that the CDC, our Center for Disease Control, our big kind of medical safety agency is supposed to be monitoring. Like that's Rochelle Walensky's job. That's literally her main job. And here is the signal so massive that it kind of overwhelmed her own system. And yet it was Amy Kelly in a guest bedroom in Denver, Colorado, who found it, and me in a guest bedroom in Salem, Massachusetts, who's announcing it to the world, instead of the multi-billion dollar CDC, funded with our tax dollars. And then Dr. Ely did a recheck. He verified her results. And he also, he's a VAERS CDC expert because of his own work with senators, Linthicum and Senator Thatcher in Oregon, with a grand jury investigation demand of the CDC, for data mishandling. And he found tens of thousands of results of high blood pressure in the VAERS database and 1500 people died, 1500 people died. And again, the variations on high blood pressure are so massive and we now have Vigilant Fox who's joined us, which I'm proud to say. He's a wonderful kind of commentator who boils down stories and creates videos. And he's a former nurse. And he explained, I'm like, why is hypertension a big deal? Why do we care about it? It doesn't sound that serious, right? And he explained, you know, that it can be very dangerous. He explained it in his piece about what we found. And Dr. Ely elaborated on why hypertension is so serious. You can die of it. People are dying of it. So, you know, we have to add these 1500 people minimum because the VAERS under reports by one, I'm sorry, the VAERS is estimated to report only one to 10% of the true number of adverse events. So we've got, you know, scores, what would it be if you've got 1500, we could have 15,000 people dead of hypertension who would not have been dead of hypertension prior to receiving the mRNA vaccines. And also the last thing I'll say about this is that all of these horrible pieces are starting to fit together, Peter, medically. I've talked about lipid nanoparticles. They're an industrial fat. Well, they're in your blood now, you know, if you've been vaccinated. So there are all these clotting effects, these lung clots, blood clots, the Pfizer documents are full of clots. And nurses have even described the difference between vaccinated being very viscous, and unvaccinated blood being a different color and not not so thick. These industrial fats exist, they're like a like the opposite of an emulsifier. They exist to thicken things. Right. and as I reported earlier and I'm surprised no one's really paying attention to this, but it's more of a kind of industrial product discussion than a medical product discussion, which may be why the doctors are not wading into it. But lipid nanoparticles, they solidify at room temperature. They get thicker as you warm them. And I warned everyone, remember all that weird chilling, that it has to be so cold, it has to be so cold. And I did a piece on the variability. I think we talked about this of instructions that how cold to keep the vaccines. Well, what good does it do to keep this material super freezing chilled in a freezer if you inject it into a human body, which is 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit, you know, some Celsius, you know, it's going to change. And so if you think about what hypertension does to the heart, right, it makes the heart work harder, it pushes the blood against the arteries, you know, more than it should be pushed against the arteries. That's an effect you would get if your blood is sticky, as Dr. Ely said. And he actually has a different mechanism for what causes the sticky blood and explained that in more detail. But, you know, there could be multiple factors, you know, ruining people's blood, basically, in circulation. And I'm just heartsick about this. And I hope, I hope millions of people watch this interview, because right now, pretty much nobody knows outside of you, me, and and the War Room posse and whoever's reading our sub stacks about this, that this is happening. That's a side effect. (HoO) Well, one of the things that really has worried me is the whole issue of blood transfusion. And I know there has been one case in New Zealand with parents losing access to their child because they wanted the child to have a transfusion with unvaccinated blood. And I know, I think on Daily clout, there's an interview there with an organization that looks at this. And that's a whole other area because many of us no longer trust our health system. And therefore what happens if you're in need of blood? And that's a huge step because very few of us have any idea of how to even set up a system whereby that's available. Because you obviously don't want to receive blood if it is infected with something that can cause damage to your body. (NW) Absolutely. And this is, it's such a heart-breaking, unbelievable story, but it's also so predictable. I mean, I say unbelievable and predictable at the same time. Those are the times we're living in. Months and months ago, I warned on War Room that the last step of this train we were on would be that people's children would be removed from them. That is the ultimate leverage. And that's what that we're seeing in formerly free, formerly enlightened New Zealand and subsequently around the world. Like if we don't fight this fight in every country, that's gonna be everywhere. The whole world is gonna be like China and now like New Zealand and like Australia in horrible ways and on and on. And I'm hearing terrible things about Britain about restricting assembly. I need to find out more about that or restricting travel. But back to your question about blood, it is true that I don't believe anything these people say anymore either. I mean, my loved one said with relief that this bracelet she'd been assigned to wear, someone had told her returns unreliably high numbers. different kinds of medical bracelet. And my first thought was, well, of course it does, because that's how you guarantee the endless consumption of the hypertension medications, which are made by guess who, Pfizer. So yeah, I don't trust any of them. The blood supply is a bad question, but predictably, unvaccinated semen, unvaccinated eggs. Unvaccinated surrogate moms and unvaccinated blood are gonna be the black market or the gold of the near future if they aren't already. And I do think we have to create an alternative medical system as well as an alternative scientific system, alternative economic system. But I know that some doctors have started to do this. I know that Dr. Alexander and Dr. McCullough and other dissident doctors have united in something I think is called the Wellness Project. And I just would refer people to them and to FLCCC and to Dr. Ely because I don't know that they have access to unvaccinated blood, but I think we're gonna start to have like networks of donors, informally, people saying like, I'll step in for your baby, I'm type O or I'm unvaccinated. I mean, it's going to be like an underground railroad, medically. (HoO) Well, I don't know whether it will be that people just have a small freezer at home and they stick their blood in. It's a strange way. Again, we have to look for solutions to the madness that we face and the solutions can be very different from what's been done before. But then over in, it seems to be that there is actually more voices, certainly in the political realm. Here we've had Andrew Bridgen MP who stood up and called for mRNA vaccines to be immediately suspended certainly with children. And I know I watched the whole day of meetings with Senator Ron Johnson, Senator Rand Paul has been very vocal as has Ron De Santos. Are you seeing a change because you're putting the information out, and others are putting the information out. It is all there to read and to make an informed decision that this is not good. We must immediately suspend until further notice. Are we seeing a change with some of our politicians actually wakening up to it?  (NW) I mean, yes, yes and no. I think it's huge that you had a parliamentarian call for this. And culturally, when a taboo is broken, that has a big impact, even if you don't get immediate colleagues rushing to stand next to him or immediate positive press coverage. Things are changing, not fast enough, not comprehensively enough. I'm a lifelong Democrat, I'm now an independent, but the change in the makeup of the House in the United States starting in January, that Republicans will be in charge. That is having a ripple effect around the world or certainly around the West because different people will be able to hold investigations, have subpoena power. And so if there have been alliances, for instance, between Britain and the US, which there often are around these issues, those will be disclosed. And I guess I just don't get that happy about it, but I'm also very annoyed because what you're gonna start to see is rats jumping ship, or people, and I'm seeing this with the, you know, literati and the intelligentsia. Oh, I never believed that. I was always there with you, you know, I, you know, with that things were crazy, right? I mean, you know, and so people are trying to get ahead of indictments and they're trying to lay down paper trails in the event of investigation. And in some cases, and I think we'll see this with people Rochelle Walensky, Dr. Walensky, Dr. Fauci, and my husband Brian O'Shea, an investigator many years in the intelligence community, points this out. The first person to get to turning on their peers gets a reduced sentence or other kinds of immunity. So I think we're going to see a rush to throw others under the bus once the Republicans take power.  But it's not enough. I mean there are still ads every day, people tell me in states across my country telling people to inject their children. The CDC still lies every single day. I can't believe what I saw just this morning. The CDC is telling people on its website that teenagers and minors have a right to choose vaccination of any kind in spite of their parents' wishes. It's not true. It's a lie. But they just lie and lie and lie. Dr. Ely broke this story yesterday when I interviewed him or the day before, I beg your pardon, that is shocking. He found that the CDC has removed 32,000 cases. I may have the number slightly..... I'll say tens of thousands till I can check the number, but cases of myocarditis from the VAERS database between September and December, just removed them, which is illegal and probably has to do with, you mentioned DeSantis. Governor DeSantis and Dr. Lattapos' plans for a grand jury investigation, that's Dr. Walensky covering up evidence of a crime, right, or trying to.  So yes, things are changing, but as a journalist, I guess I'm especially angry as a journalist because the Guardian isn't joining you in saying, here's investigative reporting we've done, this has to stop. They took the money. The BBC took all the money. They're not joining you in actually investigating the spike, the doubling of baby deaths. They call it a spike, to hide the number in Scotland.  I mean, so many things are not happening with the news media because of the pipeline of money and because of their own complicity. They committed crimes too, they took the money and they have blood on their hands and people died. And I don't know how that will play out, in terms of litigation, but I know that when this worm actually turns and the bodies have been duly counted, that the diabilities, and every country now is showing a signal of dramatic 13% rise in Australia above the norm for deaths, unexplained deaths, 20% I believe in Germany, and the unborn babies, the drop in babies that Igor Chudin documented, an average of 20% I believe worldwide in the, databases he's looked at. Media are going to be hauled into court for participating in fraud and reckless endangerment. And I'm a free speech absolutist, but they deserve to because it is illegal to endanger people and kill them by covering things up and forcing them basically to make choices they wouldn't make otherwise.  So it's going to be a bloodbath. (HoO) How do you think that, because one of the headlines from Senator Ron Johnson's hearings was, and I think you covered in Daily Clout, analysis shows 26% worse mortality amongst mRNA vaccinated. So the information is out there, at some point people have to be held to account. And often in the UK being held to account means actually promoted or given a better job somewhere. That's what you're held to a coin. Heads do not roll. I'm guessing at some point those in charge in the CDC, in the pharm industry need to be penalized, be punished for what's happened. Is that private prosecutions? Is that state by state? Is the whole De Santos being vocal? Is that a breakthrough in that area? (NW) Well, De Santos is being more than vocal, he's calling for a grand jury investigation. And that's serious. And he's the first governor to do that. And I know that his popularity is off the charts. So punishment for COVID crimes is going to play very, very well in many parts of our country and probably in yours as well. Because the truth has a way of coming out. In spite of Britain being in a more opaque information bubble than the US, from what I can see, there are people like you and people like Mark Steyn and a few other truth tellers. People just aren't stupid. They look around and look at the symptoms that their loved ones experience and they put pieces together over time. So yes, DeSantis' approach is important, again, culturally, by breaking that seal, not just saying, well, because what the evildoers want to do now is, that Emily Osterpiece, we didn't know, the science was evolving, it's time for amnesty, let's make s'mores and sing kumbaya, crazy, crazy times. And that's..... there's a reason there was an Nuremberg trial after World War Two. There's a reason that the Nazi doctors were hanged, you know, in a long, a long. People in journalism who promoted Nazi policies were also punished cruelly. And that has to happen, right? If that hadn't happened, Nazism would have reared its ugly head much earlier. But how can I put it? I think that there's a risk that the move on forces will prevail unless we are very assertive and strategic and organized. And here's one reason why. Even though the Republicans are in power in the U.S., Bill and Melinda Gates are still out there pouring money into every news outlet, filling the coffers of left and right. And the same pharma money goes to your country, and the same big tech money goes, to distort your media and your social discourse. And the other thing is that I just have to be honest, we fought really hard in the United States to get some of our democracy back, like really hard grassroots, moms organizing, people doing audits, people kind of educating themselves through entities like BILLCAM, what does the law really say? How do I talk to my, showing up in Albany, showing up at their state houses, in Britain? I'm sorry to say this, I love Britain dearly. You're in a post-democratic situation now. I created BILLCAM partly because I did an informal poll of people around me in Oxford in a pub like five years ago and said, do you know how to lobby your member of parliament? And do you know how to, and this was when Britain was still part of the European Union, do you know how to lobby your MEP? And nobody knew. And there's no disrespect to the British. Your system has deliberately been made. One of the greatest democracies, the original democracy in the world, the process of, as you know, from having worked in parliament. The lobbying of your representative process is so opaque and mysterious that people have been completely disempowered. And the last thing I'll say, and then I will really stop, is part of why we're so eager to launch Daily Clout and BILLCAM is that part of the reason I designed it the way I did is from having looked at parliament.uk. and your legislative database. Is it literally impossible to find out what the laws are? I mean, my book was smeared, a book I wrote about 19th century British laws about sodomy was smeared and attacked based on a law that no one could find, right? A legislative database that was completely opaque. And when you try to follow parliament.gov.uk, it often sends you in a circle and it ends in a dead link or it says things like, well, these laws are in scrolls and you have to be a lawyer to access that. Like scrolls, like that is not a thing in the digital era. And so it's very disturbing that digital technology is used to put forward a face of accessibility, especially in Britain, but actually used to hide and conceal legislation and legislative processes from the citizens. Sorry to be so nerdy, but I care a lot about this. (HoO) No, our laws are opaque and also can be read in so many different ways and that's the problem. And then the courts spend their time trying to make sense of bad legislation, which keeps getting different amendments put on it. But I want to finish off just by, you said about Bill and Melinda Gates are still around, talked about the money going into institutions and. One of those institutions is Yale University. And you put up a number of things, obviously you were at Yale, which I think says the third oldest university in the States, then look back, in Oxford was there 300 years before. So, but we'll not even get into that. You've spoken about this and highlighted the money going into Yale and I guess that control. Tell us about that because that shows the hold that these large institutions have on our education system. (NW) Yeah, that was a shocker. So I was invited to speak at a rally outside of Yale against this hellish policy the university has mandated that even if students, undergraduates, healthy undergraduates have both the initial injections and booster, they have to take the bivalent booster before they can even come back to campus after winter break and resume their studies. And, this is, I mean you can imagine how insane this is as more and more and more evidence mounts up that particularly young adults are at greater, I mean the British Medical journal just ran a piece just in time for Yale to save face if it repeals its mandate by the way but you know whatever works you know pointing out that young adults it's unethical to have university mandates because young adults are at more risk from the injection and myocarditis and they don't you know not to mention the menstrual problems that women are suffering then and they are from the virus itself. And so I gave a speech, you know, I am a mom and if parents don't speak up about, and I'm an alumna, you know, and if parents and alumni don't speak up to protect these undergraduates, and the faculty and staff are not mandated, meaning the administration isn't mandated. It's just the kids, it's just the students, right? Makes no sense at all, no sense at all. And so I thought, well, what, you know, usually there's money driving insane policies. And again, my, got to credit, Brian O'Shea. The world's best investigator, he quickly fell on the money trail by looking at a database of government funding called TAGGS and as well as Yale's own internal records. And Yale makes 200 million more every year year from HHS grants, then from then from tuition. So that's $600 million a year from HHS, about 400 plus from tuition. And so they need HHS more than they need their students. So they're basically at in my argument, trafficking their students. Yale has received $6 billion from HHS since 1998, 1.7 billion since COVID began. And I broke out individual grants and there's so much nonsensical bribery, like, you know, over a million dollars to go to Karachi to look at burial grounds to assess the impact of COVID, to look at burial grounds, you don't know how they died, right? They're dead, they're buried. You know, not looking at medical records, not looking at, you know, like, look, physically look at burial grounds or 3.4 million for student emergency COVID care. And it takes you to a dead link. What did they use that for? forced injections? distance learning? who knows? But the point is they're literally trafficking the kids. And I looked at the Connecticut and federal law against human trafficking, and it literally applies to what Yale is doing because you don't have to be sexually trafficked or transported to be trafficked. You have to be forced or coerced to provide labour or services that you have a legal right to refuse. And that's literally what's happening to the bodies of students at Yale. And for sure, as I said in my speech, going to be young men whose hearts are damaged, who could drop dead, young women who will be permanently injured menstrually with, I mean, in Pfizer documents, the horrors around menstruation. Either 20 different names in Pfizer documents for horrible things that happen to your body menstrually, like menstruating always, right? Or two periods, like, can you imagine being a female student menstruating every single day of your life, or two periods a month, or horrible haemorrhages, agonizing cramps. So in addition to trafficking, in my view, it's also a violation of Title IX because they're certainly going to be inflicting on some of those undergraduate women infertility and agonizing disability. So that was what I had to say there. And I hope and believe they're hearing from alumni and parents but sadly from what I heard from at least one parent Yale is tasking this horrible woman named Stephanie Spengler, Dr. Spengler, with managing the calls from distraught parents. Stephanie Spengler was the woman tasked with managing my trying to file a grievance against an active sexual predator on campus. She's the managing of injustices and she literally is sending parents in circles. not saving the kids yet. The kids are still at risk. And I don't know the situation in the UK. I mean, are they mandating Oxford and Cambridge students? (HoO) I think it depends on someone. I talked to a friend of mine and sadly they were going to University for Medicine and sadly they made the choice to get injected to be able to go. It seems to be that there are quite a number of universities. It's not across the board and of course they make their own decisions each time. And after someone's been accepted, everything's ready and then suddenly they say, oh, of course you're vaccinated. You know, at some point, the closer you get to actually attending it, it's too late. You can't just go and change your mind and go elsewhere. So yeah, that's exactly, (NW) I'm sorry to jump in there, Peter, but this is super painful what you're describing, this young woman Phoebe Liu is a University of Connecticut student, she's like 19 or 20, she said that they dangle just what you said, they're on campus, they've chosen their classes, they paid their money and that the university dangles their future like a lure on a string and withholds it, for these constantly escalating physical requirements. And as I put it in my speech, it's not just the harm to these young people's bodies. What it's doing to them psychologically is going to scar them for life. And they're being groomed to accept a terrorizing reality in which authorities can do anything at any time to you. (HoO) And again, in the UK, you don't get to choose. So you turn up and you get injected into whatever they have that day. So I've talked to doctors who have gone for the jabs and they have no idea what they're going to get. They just, well, whatever they put in me and that level of absolute belief and confidence in your government is frightening. But that's where we are. (NW) They don't know what brand or what dose?  (HoO) When they arrive, if they ask, they can be told, but whenever you make an appointment. You can't say, I would prefer to have the Johnson & Johnson because not an mRNA as opposed to Pfizer. You don't get to choose that. You turn up and you get whatever they give you on the day. No choice. (NW) I just want to tell people that the Pfizer documents show that Moderna is three times more lethal than Pfizer and of course Pfizer is more lethal than J&J. (HoO) Wow. On that happy note, we will finish off. Thank you Dr. Naomi Wolf for joining us. It's absolutely wonderful to have you on and thank you for coming on, sharing what Daily Clout have been doing over the last year and what you've been doing. So thank you so much for, your time. (NW) Thank you, Peter. And I should end by saying, you know, it has been a year of great progress when all of us have been fighting together. So let's hope that 2023 will be sane and healthy and back to a post-enlightenment discourse in liberty for all. And thank you so much for your support for our work as well. (HoO) No, not at all. And just to our viewers and listeners, if you haven't already got Bodies of Evidence, it is a wonderful Christmas present to give to someone to help open their eyes a little bit. So I'd encourage you to get a copy, if you can't get a hard copy of this set it's available certainly on ebook and audiobook.

Horse Training - Kandoo Kansay
8 Reasons to train your own horse

Horse Training - Kandoo Kansay

Have you ever looked at your trainer riding your horse and wondered ‘why can't I do that'? Or wanted your horse to do something, such as load on to a trailer, only to have to get someone else to help you? If so, the problem may be the fact that you are not training your own horse. Here are 8 reasons why you should: You are responsible for your horses' welfare Owning a horse means taking responsibility, not only for its maintenance such as providing food, water and shelter but also its welfare in more general terms. Looking at the Five Freedoms of Animal Welfare, freedom from hunger and thirst and freedom to express normal behaviours and freedom from disease, are covered in how you choose to manage and care for your horse. However, the three Freedoms pertaining to freedom from discomfort, pain, injury, fear and distress are influenced by how we interact with the horse. How we train the horse can determine whether or not these basic welfare requirements are met. Training that involves pain, discomfort, fear or distress is, sadly, not unusual. It is important to look critically at each new training method you encounter. The International Society for Equitation Science (ISES) has a set of Training Principles that enables you to assess any lesson or method. Click here to see the principles: https://equitationscience.com/equitation/principles-of-learning-theory-in-equitation. Learning how to regulate your horse's emotional level Training is all about being able to raise and lower the emotional level of the horse. You need to know how to do this, not the trainer. How does your horse react when you raise the emotional level too high? Or, when the emotional level is too low? How can you tell when your horse is in the engagement zone? When training goes wrong, when the horse gets anxious, tries to escape or simply nods off in the middle of the lesson, what has usually gone wrong is that the emotional level has been too high (anxiety) or too low (falling asleep). Training doesn't require a big increase in emotional level (see: https://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0174313) but it does require some to engage the horse with learning. It is only by training a particular horse that we learn just how that horse's emotional level varies and where it is ideal for relaxed and engaged learning. Working in the engagement zone When you train your own horse, you are developing what I call a ‘bubble of communication'. This means you are constantly communicating with your horse with pressure-release and response-reward patterns. Your horse is attentive and responsive to your signals. The engagement zone is like a bubble because a bubble is fragile and must be cared for to maintain and strengthen. A horse in the bubble of the engagement zone is relaxed and listening, unlike the anxious or distressed horse. When you lose this relaxation, you know your horse is no longer in the engagement zone. Learning how to get your horse into the engagement zone, where the horse is a little more emotional that it would be if it were standing in the field but not so emotional as to be anxious, is the real art of training. By learning how to get your horse to such a receptive state and keep it in the engagement zone while working, you become your horse's best possible trainer. Building a bond When you train a horse, according to the ISES Training Principles, you build a strong bond with the animal. Your training develops patterns of pressure-release and response-reward in the horse and teaches the horse to relax and look for answers when learning rather than seeking escape options – a response to confusion, distress or anxiety. When using evidence-based, ethical training methods, the more you teach your horse, the stronger this bond becomes. Locating training holes Your horse's education rarely progresses on a perfectly linear upward trajectory. At times, especially as training becomes more complex and challenging for the horse, your horse may be so focused on the ‘new' element that it appears to ‘forget' a previously learned behaviour. We are fond of saying ‘horses can only think of one thing at a time' and if the new lesson is particularly demanding and an integral part of the response was not established as an automatic behaviour, you will need to go back and address this before continuing. Let's use the example of trailer loading to demonstrate this point. Your horse is relaxed and travelling in a soft frame under saddle, has good shoulder control and you are starting to establish independent hindquarter control. However, when you approach the trailer, your horse will not load. If we break this lesson down for the horse, we quickly discover that the horse is simply not responding to two cues, go forward and go backwards. If we trained our own horse, we will know how these two cues were established and thus know how to reinforce them now. In this example, fear or anxiety have crept into the training environment, possibly because of an experience the horse had in the past, but as we know how the horse learns and how to teach or reinforce desired behaviours, we are quickly back on track with a relaxed horse in the engagement zone. Building on strong foundations Whenever I release a training video on flying changes or canter half-pass, I get so many people eager to give it a try. It is wonderful to see how keen riders are to progress with their training but sometimes we forget that these more advanced maneuvers must be based on strong foundations. To train both flying changes and canter half-pass, we need to have shoulder control down to a pivot on the hindquarter and independent hindquarter control and without these two elements our lesson is likely to end in confusion and anxiety for the horse. When training your own horse, you can be sure each step of the solid foundation has been laid before attempting to progress, thus easing and simplifying the process for our horse. Another good example here is the movement of piaffe because it is often seen, in training demonstrations, as a movement at liberty and being reinforced with a form of positive reinforcement such as food or a secondary reinforcer such as a clicker. However, the movement was not taught with the simple use of food or a clicker in the beginning, these elements are used to shape the behaviour after the initial use of pressure-release elicits the first piaffe steps. Without knowing this, and if you did not originally train the movement yourself, you are unlikely to be able to improve or repair the movement, should things start to go awry. Horses learn patterns With each new lesson you teach your horse, you are teaching a new pattern of behaviour – a cue that signals the horse to perform a particular behaviour to get a reward or a release (or, as is most often the case, both). Your pattern is going to be slightly different from mine, no matter how well I might try to explain my pattern to you. The position I am in, my timing, the amount of pressure I use, all of these things and more, will be different and, as far as your horse is concerned, signaling different behaviours. When someone else trains your horse and then you take the horse back, the horse has to learn your signals and cues as they will not be exactly the same as the other trainer's. By training your own horse you skip this often confusing and frustrating step for the horse. It also means that, at the end of the day, you have a much better understanding of what you are asking the horse to do and how the horse is accomplishing the movement. You learn so much about your horse as you train You know your horse better than anyone else and as you train your horse you learn more and more about each other. Most importantly, you learn how to recognize when your horse is happy and relaxed and when your horse begins to feel anxious or confused. Horses are wonderful non-verbal communicators; we just need to watch a herd of horses together to realize this. Much of the ‘learning' that goes on when we are training our horse is our learning – learning to recognize when the horse is happy, relaxed, too emotional or distracted. I strongly encourage you to start training your own horse. People often tell me that they don't feel they have the experience to train their own horse but it may be better to look at it as a blessing in disguise – an opportunity to learn together. Start with something simple, such as give to the bit or move your hips to the mounting block. You will find that when you break a lesson down into manageable chunks for your horse, just how easy and fun training can be and what a sense of confidence it will give both you and your horse. The moment you begin training your own horse and taking responsibility for its behaviour and welfare as a result, is the moment you begin to build that bubble of communication. Once you know how to get your horse engaged with you and with learning things really start to progress. The first thing to change is your confidence and your horse's confidence – you learn that you can change your horse's behaviour and your horse learns that you are engaging and that lessons are fun. In today's episode, I interview Suzanne Klein, a former teacher turned serial entrepreneur. Suzanne worked as a teacher in multiple roles and different grade levels before becoming an instructor for BER (Bureau of Education And Research). She developed a writing curriculum that was so effective she was able to turn it into a million-dollar idea--literally. She started a business using the writing curriculum and eventually sold that business for 7 figures. Now she is starting a new business and she is helping teachers who want to start their own business build the strong foundation that they need to be successful. From helping them flesh out the germ of an idea to planning when to quit their teaching job, Suzanne is there to help. The difference between what Suzanne does and what I do is that Suzanne want to help teachers with ideas for a business to create the business foundation. I help teachers who want a traditional job outside the classroom and need to understand the fundamentals of the job search process as well as how to create the tools they need for success: a winning resume, a compelling cover letter, a stellar LinkedIn profile and the ability to interview with poise and ease. Why do we want what we want? Why do we want a certain car, more money, a big house, a retirement fund, good schools for our children, a better physique, etc? A lot of people would say it's going to help them achieve something… something else. But why do you want something else? In the end, it’s all about a feeling – it's going to make them feel successful, it's going to make them feel accomplished, it's going to make them feel like they are going to make a difference in this world. Freedom is an emotion more than anything else. It's a state of being. In this episode, host Niel Malan explains why he believes that emotional freedom is the most important of the Five Freedoms we have been discussing. Is emotional freedom influenced by the other freedoms? Absolutely. But is it a requirement to have all the other freedoms to have emotional freedom? Absolutely not. --- For video and full transcript of the episode, visit www.eliteinc.com/16 Join the Elite Inc. tribe Facebook: www.facebook.com/EliteIncOfficial Instagram: www.instagram.com/Elite_Inc_Official LinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/EliteIncGlobal Twitter: www.twitter.com/EliteIncGlobal

Please remember to learn about how to care for a rabbit prior to purchase and that rabbits are a 5-10 year commitment. The American Rabbit Breeders Association The ARBA is an organization dedicated to the promotion, development and improvement of the domestic rabbit and cavy. With over 23,000 members throughout the United States, Canada, and abroad, their members range from the pet owner with one rabbit or cavy to the breeder or commercial raiser with several hundred animals. Each aspect of the rabbit and cavy industry whether it be fancy (for exhibition), as a pet, or for commercial value, is encouraged by their organization. There are numerous benefits for joining ARBA, including a copy of the Official Guidebook To Raising Better Rabbits & Cavies (free with the initial membership), a subscription to Domestic Rabbits magazine, Registration, Grand Champion certification and other privileges. The History of the American Rabbit Breeders Association In the late 1890s the Belgian Hare affair brought a serious touch to the American rabbit world that previously had been pet and perhaps meat rabbits. With serious prices paid for Belgian Hares there was not a national organization as with other livestock. In 1910 the National Pet Stock Association was formed. National Pet Stock Association of America was founded on January 10, 1910 by Charles S. Gibson at his home at 1045 West Warren Ave., Detroit, Michigan with a total of 13 people present who became charter members. Charles Gibson was elected as the Secretary/Treasurer. It is not known who designed the first national emblem, but it was common place for the time to use the head of Lady Liberty with the laurel leaves in her hair along with the crossed flags as part of an American symbol. Seven years later the “Pet” was dropped from the name as it began including not just rabbits and cavies but other small fur bearing animals and later another name change was made to the “National Breeders and Fanciers Association of America.” The organization changes their name to the National Breeders and Fanciers Association of America. The emblem you see was created by the George Lauterer Company of Chicago, Illinois. There is once again the crossed US flags, eagle with her stretched wings, double maple leaves (no doubt to recognize our neighbors to the north’s membership), plus the heads of four animals; top is a raccoon, right a cavy (guinea pig), bottom a fox and finally a rabbit. In January, 1918 the first national convention and show is held in Kansas City, Missouri with a total of 540 entries. The organization splits in October, 1919 and Charles Gibson incorporates the new branch in January, 1920 as the National Breeders and Fanciers Association, Inc. Gibson is replaced as secretary in 1921 by Raymond L. Pike and the national headquarters is moved to Crawfordsville, Indiana. Pike is replaced by Arthur Weygandt as secretary in 1923 and the national headquarters is moved once again to Weygandt’s home at 3166 Lincoln Ave., Chicago, Illinois, then shortly after to 7408 Normal Ave., Chicago. In 1923 the rabbit fancy began to split into fur breeds and meat breeds. The name of the association was changed to the American Rabbit and Cavy Breeders Association to narrow the focus to just rabbit and cavy owners. The organization became more specialized with the small stock that they promoted and once again changed their name officially on January 20, 1925 to the American Rabbit and Cavy Breeders Association, Inc. Before this change, the association catered to not only rabbits, cavies, raccoons, and foxes, but most all furred animals including rats, mice and even skunks. Oddly enough the association did not have an official logo until the 1940’s. Arthur Weygandt proved to be an outstanding choice for secretary and served the organization well for 20 years until he was forced to resign in early 1943 due to a stroke, being replaced by Mr. Lewis S. J. Griffin. A new logo appeared only in the 1940’s which touted the domestic rabbit for it’s meat, fur and wool, with special emphasis placed on the cavy as an important laboratory animal, which indeed it was. The scalloped border is believed to be designed after a rosette ribbon showing that both species were highly popular as show animals. The war years were hard on the organization, but the meat of the domestic rabbit received a huge boost for its quick growth and high nutritional values by the United States government. Griffin as secretary moved the national offices to his home at 812 East Costella, Colorado Springs, Colorado and then to rental facilities for a short time in 1945 at 25 East Colorado St., Colorado Springs. Due to failing health Griffin resigned in 1945 and James Blyth moved the offices to 5941 Baum Blvd., Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania when chosen as the new secretary. A milestone was reached when affiliated clubs of the national and her membership pitched in together and purchased a permanent headquarters at 4323 Murray Avenue, in Pittsburgh. Not pleased with the design of the previous emblem of the national association a new design appeared in the late 1940’s, however this designer was unknown as with previous designs. The scalloped edges were increased to be more in style with a prize rosette and the emphasis of what the species were mainly used for were removed. The organization grew and by 1948 an estimated 12,000 members were involved in the organization. Then in 1952 the name was changed to the American Rabbit Breeders Association, although the cavy still today falls within the scope of the association. Six years later a youth division was added to afford adults to compete as well as the youth against their own age and experience level, with a youth division specialty club. During the 1952 national convention and show the association decided to change the name of the association for the final time to American Rabbit Breeders Association, Inc. It was the consensus that the national mainly existed for the promotion of the domestic rabbit, however cavies would continue to be sponsored by the ARBA. With a brand new name, came a brand new logo and this time we do know the designer, Edward H. Stahl of Missouri. He retained the scallop border, included the words, Food, Fancy and Fur and the heads of two rabbits looking to the right, or as Edward Stahl once said, “Always towards the Future.” The rabbits used in the logo were actually real animals; the top a Standard Chinchilla buck called Chin Champ was Best Standard Chinchilla at the 1924 Lima, Ohio Convention and the bottom rabbit a New Zealand White buck called White Champ that won Best of Breed at the 1932 Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Convention. This was changed in 1971 when Oren Reynolds became president and the youth became a part of ARBA that had the same as an adult membership except for that of voting. The ARBA grew and with the increase in members and finances fliers, booklets and the Domestic Rabbits magazine became available to members. Today there is a guidebook, beginner book, year book and the Standard of Perfection that are updated regularly as well as other publications available through ARBA. Secretary James Blyth retires in December 1972 after a remarkable service of 27 years in the position under no less than 6 presidents. Ed Peifer, Jr. became secretary from 1973 until December, 1984. He moved the national headquarters to rental facilities at 1006 Morrisey Dr., and then to 2401 E. Oakland Ave. both locations in Bloomington, Illinois. In 1976 the ARBA purchased their own facilities at 1925 South Main in Bloomington. Upon Ed Peifer’s retirement, Glen C. Carr of Ohio was appointed secretary, but instead of moving the national offices he was the first secretary to move to where they were located. Peifer had begun to bring the association into the modern era of the internet age and Glen Carr certainly continued to improve and streamline all office operations. The organization today maintains coops and equipment for the national convention shows, it has raised over $150,000 for the research and development fund that contributes to research that benefits rabbits as well as cavy research. There is also a youth scholarship, Hall of Fame library and an active membership that is not just about breeding rabbits. While a large part of the membership do show and breed their choice of dozens of breeds there is also a benefit for pet owners of information. Because of the changing times and the attitude of people, it became very apparent that the words “Food and Fur” was no longer the primary focus of the fancier's organization. Although the American Rabbit Breeders Association, Inc. recognizes the many valuable benefits of the domestic rabbit; meat, laboratory, fur, wool, fun, pet and fancy (exhibition) the words “Food, Fancy and Fur” were removed from the emblem. Kevin Whaley created the current logo to bring it into the 21st century as the ARBA continues to adapt to a changing country and world from it’s nearly century of existence. With the continued growth of the ARBA it quickly became apparent that a much larger facility was needed. A modern 10,000 square foot facility was located by Secretary Carr at 8 Westport Court in Bloomington which the ARBA purchased. In 1999 construction began for the Hall of Fame Library within the headquarters, which quickly became the world’s largest single collection of rabbit and cavy publications. In 2003 the name of secretary seemed out of place for what the position had evolved into and was renamed Executive Director. Executive Director Glen C. Carr retired on December 31, 2006 and was succeeded by Executive Director Brad Boyce. After a brief term as ARBA Executive Director, Brad Boyce was succeeded by Eric Stewart in 2009. Mr. Stewart, ARBA's current Executive Director, is committed to steady progress as far as establishing improvements and advances in technologies utilized in the ARBA office. The most recent improvement involved a redesign of the ARBA website. Additional changes to the ARBA's online presence are planned.. This steady evolution will improve existing services while adding new elements contributing to the betterment of the ARBA and its members world-wide. Although ARBA has been through several name changes in the last 100 years since inception the promotion of the domestic rabbit and cavy has remained. Today ARBA has members from around the world that come to the annual convention and show. Rabbits included within the scope of the association are not just fur rabbits or meat rabbits but include breeds that can do both as well as smaller breeds, wooled angora rabbits and fancy marked breeds. The cavy breeds are also distinct and compete at the national convention. The American Rabbit Breeders Association Inc. provides unification within its membership that is composed of rabbit and cavy enthusiasts throughout North America and the world. The ARBA serves to promote the domestic rabbit and cavy fancy as well as all facets of the industry including commercial and scientific research facilities. Its organizational roots can be traced back over 100 years when, in 1910, the National Pet Stock Association came into being in response to the skyrocketing popularity of the Belgian Hare (actually a domestic rabbit - not a true hare), that had come on the scene around 1890. Over the years, the ARBA has grown and evolved into its present identity - enhancing, through it's membership, high standards of perfection, efficiency and cooperation between all phases of the rabbitry industry; the all encompassing objective remaining the promotion of the domestic rabbit and cavy. Today: There are 49 rabbit and 13 cavy breeds currently accepted by the ARBA. Today the ARBA claims over 23,000 members worldwide; many who travel to the annual convention and shows held each year in a different major US city. Rabbits that are included within the scope of this association consist of 49 unique breeds ranging from rabbits prized for their fur, wool, beauty, and/or utility value to those most suitable as pets due to size and/or temperament. The ARBA also actively promotes 13 different breeds of cavies (commonly known as guinea pigs). The cavy breeds are also distinct and compete at the national convention along with rabbits, as well as local shows across North America and other countries. ARBA Library and Hall of Fame The ARBA headquarters based in Bloomington, Illinois houses the The ARBA's Hall of Fame Library - the world's largest single collection of rabbit and cavy publications in the world. There are over 9,000 items/pieces, housed in the collection, which continues to increase in size through donations and contributions of historical items. The Library is an archival library and not a lending library. Access to the Library for research by members is available by appointment only. The ARBA boasts a growing contingent of youth members who have the opportunity to participate in ARBA shows and character-building youth activities. They also have the opportunity to qualify for youth scholarship funds made available by the ARBA. The ARBA encourages youth rabbit and cavy showmanship and related activities as a means to demonstrate not only a working and practical knowledge of rabbits and cavies, but to encourage youth members to explore critical thinking skills. These are desirable values youth learn and experience through their involvement in the ARBA. Character-building values such as responsibility and sportsmanship, will benefit youth throughout their lives. ARBA youth members, while participating in character-building youth activities, have the opportunity to qualify for scholarship funds. The ARBA offers a Youth Scholarship program for high school graduates who wish to further their education. The recipients must have graduated with a minimum 3.0 GPA and be enrolled in their first year of higher education. The scholarship proceeds are designated to be used towards two- or four-year college, vocational, or technical school. While a large percentage of active ARBA members participate in exhibitions such as those hosted at the national convention shows, there is a growing faction that keep companion rabbits and cavies. These pet owners realize a great benefit from the vast stores of knowledge available through ARBA books, manuals, and the bi-monthly publication - Domestic Rabbits. There are numerous reasons owners of all types of rabbits and cavies can benefit from information available from the ARBA. Rabbit raising education This organization helps all levels of rabbit keepers and breeders, including 4-H participants to fanciers, pet owners to commercial producers. The ARBA also produces educational materials such as a guide book, 'Raising Better Rabbits & Cavies', as well as informative books on each registered breed, and a poster with photographs of the recognized breeds of rabbits and cavies, and rabbit registrar and judge training materials. The judges education program is an ongoing program for established judges. Now they also have links to national specialty clubs that are breed specific, as well as a list of all of the shows. Rabbit shows The ARBA sanctions rabbit shows throughout the year, all over the USA and Canada. These shows, sponsored by local clubs, fairs, and show circuits, give rabbit and cavy fanciers the chance to have their animals examined by educated judges and compared to other breeders' animals and the standard. The ARBA holds a large national convention show once a year, which draws in fanciers from across the country and around the world. The 2005 ARBA convention was documented in the film Rabbit Fever. Unified judging and registration system The ARBA has a standardized judging system in which rabbits are judged against the respective breed standard, set by a 100-point scale, and published in the Standard of Perfection. It is a book detailing all of the recognized breeds in the United States and their attributes. The association has licensed judges since the early 1900s who may judge at sanctioned shows and fairs. The registration system maintains records on all rabbits which have passed a registration examination to ensure the animals are healthy and meet the ARBA Standard for the rabbits' breed. ARBA licensed registrars conduct the examination. Registrations are ranked Red; White; or Red, White, and Blue to distinguish how many ancestors of the subject rabbit have been previously registered. Judges: The American Rabbit Breeders Association is proud of its judges who must adhere to the strict standards which have been set by the ARBA Board of Directors. In order to earn his or her judge's license, each individual must have been engaged in breeding and exhibiting rabbits and/or cavies at least five (5) years; two of which must include serving as an ARBA Licensed Registrar, having registered a minimum of thirty-five (35) rabbits or fifteen (15) cavies. Additionally, an applicant for an ARBA Judge's License must have secured the endorsement of 20 ARBA members in good standing. This endorsement must be in writing. All of the preceding must be accomplished before an individual can even apply for a license. Once an application for an ARBA Judge's License has been accepted, that applicant must then pass extensive written and oral examinations and must assist in judging eight (8) shows under at least six (6) judges and must secure the endorsement of these judges as well. Once an ARBA Judge's License has been granted, each judge is expected to participate in at least one Judges' Conference every 5 years and must pass yearly review examinations with a minimum score of 80%. ARBA members can be confident that the judges evaluating their rabbits or cavies on the judging table are well qualified to render their opinion as to the show worthiness and quality of each animal in each class. Registering Rabbits: The American Rabbit Breeders Association has a unique and exacting registration system. Unlike other animal registration systems, each rabbit or cavy must be examined by a licensed registrar, certified free from heritable defects and found to meet specific breed requirements as outlined in the ARBA Standard of Perfection. The ARBA does not issue registrations of litters or register individual rabbits based on the registration or pedigree of its sire or dam. Each rabbit or cavy must be at least six (6) months of age before it can be inspected by a licensed ARBA Registrar. Because of its exacting requirements, the ARBA Rabbit/Cavy Registration system is arguably the single best livestock or pet-stock registration system in the world. In order to receive an ARBA Registrar's license, each individual must be a continuous member of the ARBA for at least three (3) years, as well as have secured the written endorsement of 20 ARBA members in good standing prior to submitting an application to the ARBA office. Upon being approved to apply for an ARBA Registrar's License, the applicant has two (2) years in which to pass a written and oral examination delivered by an official examining judge appointed by the ARBA and must work under three (3) judges at three (3) shows, assist one (1) registrar with registering animals, and secure the endorsement of the registrar and at least two (2) of the judges under whom he or she has worked. Each rabbit or cavy that successfully passes the examination and whose owner (a current member of the ARBA) upon submission of the $6.00 registration fee, may receive an official ARBA Registration Certificate upon which may be affixed a seal: ~ Red denotes registration of both parents ~ Red and White - all parents and grandparents have been registered ~ Red, White, & Blue indicates that all animals on the registration form were registered ~ Gold indicates all ancestors on the registration certificate were registered grand champions https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Rabbit_Breeders_Association https://www.arba.net/index.htm https://learnaboutrabbits.wordpress.com/2014/07/25/the-history-of-the-american-rabbit-breeders-association/ The British Rabbit Council The showing and exhibition of rabbits - known as "The Fancy" - started more than 200 years ago! By the middle of the nineteenth century there were many Local Clubs which had formed with the objective of holding regular shows for their Fanciers to enjoy. By the end of the 1800's Specialist Clubs had formed who were devoted to the improvement of individual breeds of rabbit. This structure still exists today with The Fancy still going strong, the number of recognized breeds steadily increased up to the beginning of the 1914-18 war but all of them were 'Fancy Breeds' with just two 'Fur Breeds'. During war time rabbit keeping was enjoying popularity and, coupled with the improved travel available, it meant that many Fanciers went overseas and saw many new breeds - not known in Great Britain - which had been developed. Today there are over 50 recognized breeds and over 500 varieties! By the end of the 1914-18 war the most important Fur rabbit was the Beveren. This inevitably led a group of Beveren breeders in May 1918 to set up, in Birmingham, a new National Club called The Beveren Club. In the words of its seventeen founders, it was established "in an endeavor to raise the dignity and status of rabbit breeding with the best fur breeds." Today, The British Rabbit Council continues to raise the profile and status of rabbit breeding. As new breeds were developed during the 1920's, they were standardized and adopted by The Beveren Club until the society had become a general fur breed club. To recognize its new status, it had two name changes, first to the British Fur Rabbit Society and then later to the to The British Rabbit Society. By 1928 the Society had 13 different fur breeds under its jurisdiction. It also managed its individual members, a number of Clubs and Agricultural Societies. However, things were happening in the rabbit world! There was at this time great deal of interest in Angora wool production and attempts were made to found an Angora wool testing center. Although this idea was backed by a number of influential people, not only in the rabbit world but in the agricultural and scientific worlds, the idea was eventually abandoned. However, the meetings held did give rise to a new national organization for rabbit breeders with the resounding title of...... The National Rabbit Council of Great Britain and her Dominions. Like The British Rabbit Society already in existence, this organization became a forerunner to today's British Rabbit Council. The new organization grew very rapidly but strife developed between the two national bodies. This eventually led, in 1934, to the two organizations merging with approval from all sections of the rabbit world and the affiliated societies. The British Rabbit Council was born! There had always been a need for the permanent identification of rabbits with the numbers being registered with a central organization. A scheme was started in the late 1920's when the British Rabbit Society arranged for the formation of a National Rabbit Marking Council. This Council carried out a ringing scheme for a number of years but in 1938 The British Rabbit Council took over the ringing scheme with Fur & Feather handling the distribution of the rings. This arrangement was not entirely satisfactory and in 1946 the British Rabbit Council took over the whole matter - an arrangement which continues today. Until 1960, the British Rabbit Council was concerned not only with the showing of rabbits but also with the commercial farming of rabbits. The Commercial Rabbit Association was formed for commercial rabbit keepers and this organization took over responsibility for the rabbit farmers. Today, The British Rabbit Council recognizes that the rabbit is an enormously popular domestic animal and Britain's third most popular pet. It is a much loved part of many children's childhood as parents chose a rabbit to help teach their children about responsibility and commitment. The British Rabbit Council has made the decision to encourage the pet owner to join them so they also have access to good advice and that the Council can aid the welfare of the rabbit. The British Rabbit Council's objectives today do not differ too much from the original Beveren Club as the Council "promotes the breeding and showing of rabbits and helps pet owners with the welfare of their rabbits." Throughout its history, The British Rabbit Council has used its influence to help on a number of issues. For example, during the war regulations prevented landlords from prohibiting the keeping of rabbits. After the war, the association was largely responsible for having this particular wartime regulation put into permanent legislation thus insuring that rabbit keeping was not prohibited. Also, when there was considerable transit of rabbits by rail to and from shows, The British Rabbit Council played a large part in getting compensation from the Railways for delayed transit and hence loss of entry fees and rail fares. Other examples include a stock transfer scheme if rabbit breeders lost their entire stud in terrible flooding as they did once on the East Coast; the administration of the bran rationing scheme for the Government after the war; the provision of lecturers for Local Club meetings, and so on. In the late 1990's representatives from The British Rabbit Council have attended international conventions to secure the British Rabbit Council's place as a leading European rabbit organization. Alongside all this extra work, the Council is still the governing body for The Fancy and has established over the years a comprehensive set of Show Rules. Each year approximately 1000 shows take place throughout Great Britain! Today sees a structure of District Advisors who give their time to help people in their regions. These are well respected members of great experience appointed by the Council to give advice locally. At shows, awards are available from the Council. The basis of these is the Challenge Certificate which is awarded to the best rabbit of its particular group. Today, The British Rabbit Council encourages research into diseases etc. among other topical issues. As the role of the rabbit has developed into a popular pet, the British Rabbit Council actively encourages good rabbit keeping among pet owners. The Newark Head Office receives many hundreds of letters or calls each month asking for advice or information on an extremely wide variety of topics concerned with the rabbit. These are not confined to individual people but are sometimes from official bodies, Governments or overseas. "To protect, further and co-ordinate the interests of all British rabbit breeders; to assist and extend the exhibition rabbits, to influence, advise and co-operate with central and local authorities, departments, education and other committees and schools in promoting the extension of the breeding of rabbits, and to promote and encourage education and research of a scientific and/or practical nature for the welfare and benefit of the rabbit." As a member of the BRC you will receive the following: Articles of Constitution & Rules Book; Breed Standards Book; Year Book; Five Freedoms; Benefits of Vaccination; Top Tips How to Look After Your Rabbit; Composting Rabbit Manure; Recommended Reading; Ring Order Form, in all Adult packs. The membership also enables you to exhibit rabbits at a BRC Star Show and Join National/Area/Local BRC Clubs. The 'bible' of rabbit showing is the Breeds Standard Booklet. There is also a library consisting of a considerable number of books relating to the rabbit. It is difficult to sum up an organization with such a long and interesting history - and bright future -as The British Rabbit Council. One thing, however, is very certain. The British Rabbit Council is made up of its members and exists to help all rabbit breeders and keepers. Most members consider that it is not only a pleasure to be a member but perhaps also a duty which allows him or her to give back a small part of the happiness he or she has gained from the Fancy. http://thebritishrabbitcouncil.org/standards.htm The Australian National Rabbit Council Why did we need a National Rabbit Council? We have now grown into a fully fledged National body with almost three years behind us and our first National Convention held in March 2014. Perhaps the most important thing to remember about a National Governing body is that it will not change the way your local rabbit Clubs run to any great degree. The National Rabbit Council is not there to change the way you do things now but to hopefully allow all the rabbit Clubs across Australia to improve the service they give to their members and to co-ordinate some activities to all Rabbit Fanciers across Australia. The only rules that affiliated Clubs would be expected to run under National Club rules would be the show rules same as what happens with the BRC. To quote the BRC rules: All affiliated organizations shall retain freedom of action and to be at liberty to carry through any program within their own sphere as they may deem desirable or which may be most suited to their particular locality, except that all organizations affiliated to the Association must hold their shows under BRC Show Rules. Anyone who has read the BRC rules will know that there are some rules in there that we do not/cannot run by. So to say Clubs run under BRC rules is somewhat of a misnomer. Most of us run under most of the Show Rules but I don’t believe anyone runs under all the Rules. The BRC has an Investigation Committee but I am not aware of any Club that has one in Australia. The WARCI had one for a number of years but had to dissolve it in the end because they were really too small to support one. Also many of the BRC rules relate to show support and as most Clubs run as individual Clubs and not under a governing body they do not need to apply for show support. With a National Club the rules would relate to Australian conditions and allow for the long distances in Australia and the introduction of non BRC accepted Breeds. So Australian Rules for Australian Rabbit Clubs. One of the huge advantages to being an affiliated Club to the Australian National Rabbit Council would be that they would not have to pay their own Public Liability Insurance as they would be covered by the ANRCI Insurance. At the moment many Clubs – especially smaller ones – struggle to find the large amounts required for their Public Liability Insurance. As an affiliated Club they would pay ANRCI a Third Party Insurance Levy (which would be a small percentage of their previous payments) and would then be covered. This is a service the BRC also offers to its Affiliated Clubs. Another service that ANRCI hopes to set up is a National Stud Register. The idea of having an Australia wide database of stud names has been discussed – and generally supported – for many years. This service would be relatively easy to set up and maintain with the cooperation of the affiliated Clubs. It would allow already duplicate Stud Names to be acknowledged (perhaps with the state of registration added to the stud name – Stud Name (WA)) and to ensure that future stud names are not duplicated. It would also allow members to use the stud names in every club and not have to pay separate registration fees at every club they wish to show in. Our Committee is looking at the feasibility of having a Stud Name Register, the best way it could be run and the rules under which it could be run. The Steering Committee is also looking at the feasibility of having an Australia wide Ring Register. There are many ways this could be done and all the options will be examined to find the best way that it could be set up. In the future, we may be able to access our own rings and not having to bring them in from England. Just having our own rings will save our Clubs all having to buy and import rings (costs of exchange rates and postage) and decrease the time of ordering and receiving the rings. An Australian Breed Standard that allows non BRC standard breeds would be a long term goal. This would be a long process and would require a lot of research and discussion. There are many breeds and colors we will never have here in Australia but there are some unique breeds that we do have that deserve to be in an Australian standard. These are all areas that the Steering Committee will be examining to find the feasibility of setting up these processes within an ANRCI. We expect that some of these subjects will produce a lot of discussion – both for and against – and also many different ways that these things could be set up. We welcome good sensible ideas and suggestions. We will look at all of them and try and find the best way that these things can work in Australia. We feel that Australian rabbit breeders deserve an Australian governing body that is developed with our own local conditions in mind. We hope that you all feel that this is a huge step forward for the Rabbit Fancy in Australia and that you come forward with lots of positive ideas to help us develop the best Australian National Council possible. ANRCI is an Incorporated Association (WA) . We have an elected Management Committee made up of State Representatives. All Rabbit Clubs have the option to affiliate with ANRCI and enjoy the benefits of shared ideas, databases and costs. All fanciers or owners of rabbits are able to join ANRCI as well, you do not need to be a member of an affiliated club, but you do need to be a member of a club The Rabbit Fancy in Australia is relatively small compared to the UK and the US. The website offers support for both affiliated and non affiliated Clubs. It contains the Stud Prefix database, The Championship System, Judging Training Guidelines and the Breed in Development Program. All this information is listed under the Club Support Heading Fanciers Professional Development Seminars ANRCI is really excited to announce a great new initiative which we are sure will help provide showing, breeding and judging information to members of the Fancy - especially in rural areas. We hope it will develop Professionalism in all aspects of the Fancy – whether it is running a Club and shows, assessing and breeding your stock, or showing and judging rabbits. Last year they undertook to use any profits from the ANRCI raffle to help with education of the Fancy. So we have now put that promise into practice! They plan to run these seminars (as many as we can afford each year) in a number of different regional centers. These seminars will cover showing, breeding and judging and range from information suitable for beginners, or people just interested in improving the standards of their rabbits as well as Fanciers that hope to become judges in the future. They will also be great refreshers for existing judges. They hope to build on these seminars in the future and offer different perspectives or emphasis depending what is being asked for. John Porritt together with Debbie Pulford have created the program and they will present the lectures - with assistance at times from other suitable people. They know that once you see the agenda of the seminars you will be very excited as well!! Apart from the formal learning opportunities from the lectures the informal learning from exchange of ideas and networking make these seminars something not to be missed!! ANRCI is paying the transport and accommodation costs of the lecturers and also the cost of the venue. Participants will need to pay a small fee to help cover some of the costs (so that we can run more of these learning weekends) and their accommodation if required. They hope that lots of Fanciers make an effort to come along and listen to the most experienced judges and exhibitors in Australia. Many exhibitors, particularly rural ones, rarely get this sort of opportunity and we at ANRCI are very proud to be offering these great learning experiences. It is envisaged that this road show will also visit Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia. People keep rabbits for many reasons. Many of us buy a bunny as a pet for ourselves or our children. Some people decide that they would like to have pure bred rabbits and exhibit them in competitions. Others keep them for Agility or Hopping Competitions. Keeping rabbits as a food, fur or fiber source is also quite common. Whether you keep your bunny for a pet or for exhibition they hope to provide you with all the information you need. https://www.australiannationalrabbitcouncil.com/ European Association of Poultry, Pigeon, Cage Bird, Rabbit and Cavy Breeders. The EE for short. European Association of Poultry, Pigeon, Cage Bird, Rabbit and Cavy Breeders Founded in 1938 . As a charitable and non party political and non denominational organization, it is the objective of the EE to unite all small livestock organizations in Europe. The object of our organization is also, apart from enhancing the contact among nations, to process the technical and breeding problems of all indigenous breeds. A further object includes taking charge of shows and judging panels. Organizing shows and seminars as well as dealing with all technical issues unites all European small livestock fanciers, which is a high priority within our organization. The European Society for Poultry and Rabbit breeding (European Society for Small Livestock breeding) was founded in Brussels on the 18th of June 1938 by the small livestock societies of Belgium, France, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. The society will hereinafter be referred to as the EE, in line with the French translation of the original name - Entente Européenne d'Aviculture et de Cuniculture. Nowadays the EE is known as: European Association of Poultry, Pigeon, Cage Bird, Rabbit and Cavy breeders. The legal seat of the EE is in Luxembourg. The European Standard Committee(ESKK) has the responsibility to establish a European standard and thereafter amend it whenever necessary, in accordance with the Constitution of the EE The European standard has been in existence in German since 2012. All non German speaking countries can translate this standard and use all photographs after approval of the ESKK In order for a breed or colour to be included in the European standard, it needs to be fully standardised in at least 3 EE affiliated countries. The breed or colour must have been shown at a European show prior to inclusion. Breeds or colours of rabbit that are not included in the European standard, can be judged at a European show as long as a guidance description is available to the judge in one of the 3 official languages (German,English or French). 31 Nations comprising 2.5 million members It seems that they are the holder of the rules for Kanin Hop as well. Changes of these regulations require the consent of the European Kanin Hop responsible. The consent shall require a simple majority of countries organizing Kanin Hop tournaments. http://www.entente-ee.com/about-us/ The Malta Rabbit Club The Malta Rabbit Club - in brief The Malta Rabbit Club was founded in 1964. The club has approximately 300 members and amongs others, the club organises an Annual National Rabbit Championship Show. Over 40 different rabbit breeds in around 160 classes. Malta National Rabbit Society - WHERE EXHIBITION AND LEARNING ARE A PLEARSURE !!! http://www.petngarden.com/maltarabbitclub/ Benefits of Joining an Organization Here's five great reasons why joining an organization near you is a good idea: 1. When you join a rabbit organization you will get to meet other rabbit breeders from abroad and have an opportunity to learn, share and gain valuable experience in your field. 2. You get to stay informed about the latest news in the rabbit industry on a consistent basis. 3. If you love rabbits, you'll fine the atmosphere of events etc fun and enjoyable as you learn and share. 4. You have the opportunity to help “give back” to the rabbit industry as a whole. 5. If you are joining an organization specializing in rabbits you will potentially have the opportunity to help save the lives of bunny rabbits whether you adopt or donate. https://www.justrabbits.com/rabbit-organizations.html © Copyrighted
