GraphBI: Expanding Analytics to All Data Through the Combination of GenAI, Graph, & Visual Analytics // MLOps Podcast #310 with Paco Nathan, Principal DevRel Engineer at Senzing & Weidong Yang, CEO of Kineviz.Join the Community: https://go.mlops.community/YTJoinIn Get the newsletter: https://go.mlops.community/YTNewsletter // AbstractExisting BI and big data solutions depend largely on structured data, which makes up only about 20% of all available information, leaving the vast majority untapped. In this talk, we introduce GraphBI, which aims to address this challenge by combining GenAI, graph technology, and visual analytics to unlock the full potential of enterprise data.Recent technologies like RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and GraphRAG leverage GenAI for tasks such as summarization and Q&A, but they often function as black boxes, making verification challenging. In contrast, GraphBI uses GenAI for data pre-processing—converting unstructured data into a graph-based format—enabling a transparent, step-by-step analytics process that ensures reliability. We will walk through the GraphBI workflow, exploring best practices and challenges in each step of the process: managing both structured and unstructured data, data pre-processing with GenAI, iterative analytics using a BI-focused graph grammar, and final insight presentation. This approach uniquely surfaces business insights by effectively incorporating all types of data.// BioPaco NathanPaco Nathan is a "player/coach" who excels in data science, machine learning, and natural language, with 40 years of industry experience. There is actually talk of cooperation from the outgoing administration. It's looking like some type of coordinated handover is happening. Here's some inside info on a dirty player within a much larger story. There's plenty of talk about Boris Epshteyn. Let's stick to the truth and cover just the facts. Some think he's a liability because he's involved in dodgy things. The simple approach is much liked by the geniuses. Complexity gives birth to chaos. We're seeing the same tactics to block Trump appointees. The State Department is the most important. Compassion and understanding are needed for the weaknesses of being human. There are major expose's coming. Gaetz may be guilty by proximity. Where are Kamala and Brandon? We are observing a lot of strangeness. Lots of people are hating on Elon. It's about the operations against Trump and the people involved. Enter Epshteyn. Pay for play was like a knockoff Soprano. Your good humanity is never amplified in an artificial environment. Proximity is everything. It's been a color revolution for over two decades. The water is being sucked out of the bay. The P Diddy focus avoided other evidence regarding children. Tina Peters and injustice in Colorado. Things are going to change soon, and for the better. Have some faith and keep up the fight.

It may be common for university or pre-university students to give tuition services to their younger peers to earn their first paychecks.  But can you imagine building a multi-million dollar business out of it? In fact that is exactly what our guest for today did.  In fact, 25-year-old Evan Heng started Zenith in 2019 to help Junior College students thrive in the Singapore education system.  The entrepreneur opened his first tuition centre with S$100,000 of his savings and now has over four centres, 90 staff and a revenue of – get this – a whopping S$6.7 million in 2022.  The firm says it is now serving over 10% of all junior college students in Singapore every year. It has also opened the firm to institutional investors, having raised US$1.4 million in a seed funding round in July this year.  The firm had said then that it wanted to expand from physical tuition centres to education technology, but why is this the case? What does this suggest about the limit to growth in the physical private tuition centre business, and what is next for Zenith Education? On Under the Radar, The Evening Runway's finance presenter Chua Tian Tian posed these questions to Evan Heng, CEO, Zenith Learning Group.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

CEO and Founder of Freedom Learning Group (freedomlearninggroup.com/) Founded by a Military family, Freedom Learning Group is the leading educational courseware, content, and services provider powered by a global remote workforce of Military Spouses and Veterans. Freedom Learning Group (FLG) entered the educational courseware industry in 2017 with a cutting-edge business model intentionally designed to fit the needs of Military Spouses and Veterans while keeping them competitive in their respective professional fields. FLG specializes in educational content development, instructional design, assessment writing, accessibility compliance, ADA accessibility, accuracy review, subject matter expertise, e-Learning, audio-video services, copy editing, and project management. My husband, Nathan, and I launched Freedom Learning Group (FLG) while stationed in Germany with the distinct motivation to provide Military Spouses with the freedom to invest in their career AND support their Servicemember. Military families serve and sacrifice in countless ways and we made it our personal mission to strengthen the career-family balance by providing career opportunities to the Military Spouses serving on the homefront too. We recognized a need in our Military Spouse community that was more than just the absence of a career. Military Spouses shouldn't have to exchange passion for a paycheck, yearn for a relevant and meaningful career path, self-actualization, value and/or success. A strong family foundation is vital to the health and wellness of our Service Men and Women – family readiness is mission readiness. “How I Manage My Classroom: A Balancing Act” By Karen E. B. Elliott, English Faculty (1997-the present)   I always find it interesting how classes formulate—not according to a schedule, or what a student desires to take to graduate, or even what “track” they’ve chosen.  Whenever my classes meet, within the first few weeks of school, each section becomes their own entity—their individual personalities come together and sort-of become “one” being.  What I love about this is that each section, therefore, has different needs…even though I might be teaching all the seniors the same text. I love it because each class/section will look at a text differently depending on their individual and collective personalities, and as a result, I get to “see” a text in a new way with each group.  Consequently, what has resonated most with myself is the three categories of how students learn: Sequential, Global and Exploratory. I have realized that I do all three in one hour…which either means that I’m confused, or perhaps by default, I have learned over the years that the students do best with a balance.  Often I will begin class with grammar, historical lecture, or a pop quiz which helps with my Sequential learners who tend to “respond to logic, order and sequence and work best with information that is presented methodically” (Willis 57).  After this, I will often put students into groups—randomly chosen, and never the same kids together—to spend some time reflecting on specific topics/questions regarding the text, but at the same time giving them space to “enjoy discovery [and] frees them to experiment, create [different theories]…and explore their [literary] environment rather than be restricted by overly structured lessons”; however, little do these Exploratory learners realize, things are actually structured by myself, but they get the “interpersonal” engagement with their peers, which actually helps them focus and eventually present their ideas to the larger group (Willis 58).  Next, I’ll have everyone come to “Discussion Group.” Someone turns off the classroom lights, and someone else turns on lamps as we gather together in different chairs, sit on the carpet with cozy pillows, someone boldly likes sitting in my desk chair, and if others like, they can even stay at a table as long as we come together to discuss what they’ve done in group work. This is great for all types of learners because they are moving around, recharging, and they are used to the cues. Here, however, at “Discussion Group,” the Global learners have it—here, they get to “connect a new general topic to something more concrete” (58). Here, we make connections from the literature to the practical, and make things more applicable/personal.   What is always challenging, however, is when one particular “Learning Group” dominates a class.  This is like ordering a prime rib but getting scallops wrapped in bacon. Both are great, but sometimes they don’t always go together because someone’s allergic to fish.  As a teacher, however, this is what’s on the menu. This is your class. Own it. Know that nothing is a coincidence and that God has more faith in you than you might have in yourself.  If He thinks you can create the balance, then you can.   Willis, Judy. Global Product Management Talk is pleased to bring you the next episode of... The Everyday Innovator with host Chad McAllister, PhD. The podcast is all about helping people involved in innovation and managing products become more successful, grow their careers, and STANDOUT from their peers. About the Episode: This is where you make your move from product manager to product master. A product master means having the influence you want and need to drive product strategy. Product masters are leaders. You make that move by listening to this podcast. And I appreciate that you are because organizations need you — product masters. This discussion is focused on another tool to help you become a product master and accelerate your career. It is a study group approach you can facilitate with a group of product people in your organization. My guest calls them Group Directed Learning experiences. He has been using them for years and found them to be a very effective way to learn and apply new concepts. It is also a tool I have been using for many years with groups. It results in personal ownership of what is being learned and real behavior change that increases performance.  It is actually how I met my guest. He participated in a public study group I facilitated for product managers and then brought the approach to his organization. He uses it each year as part of the training for new product managers. My guest is John Spero, a chemical engineer who has worked in research and development, operations, and business management for several companies and in several industries. He is now at Praxair. He is a certified New Product Development Professional (NPDP) from PDMA and a certified scrum master from Scrum Alliance.

My conversation today is with Rebecca Chandler, the Chief Learning Officer and Global Director of the Learning Group at Steelcase. We are talking about real life examples of what Steelcase is doing to promote learning and development, how learning has evolved over the past few decades and how leaders and managers can role model the desired learning behavior in their organizations. Rebecca Chandler is the Chief Learning Officer and Global Director of Learning and Development at Steelcase. Steelcase is a global organization that provides furniture solutions that reflect what they’ve learned about human behavior. It employs about 14,000 employees. Chandler is charged with making Steelcase the pacesetter for learning organizations worldwide. Steelcase looks to her team for learning solutions that are linked to the needs of the business, and to progress in creating learning that is globally integrated and holistic in nature. Learning is embedded in the culture of their organization, Steelcase views it as just another way for their employees to "love the way they work". A Chief Learning Officer is usually with tasked thinking about the learning infrastructure to support the local culture and goals.  They look at the curriculum, what the organization is focused on, how people share learning and how to speed up learning. Steelcase education is on an evolution. They offer a lot around active learning. They understand that people need to engage in a variety of ways.  They have a “Think, Make, Share” program. The ‘Think’ gives people a chance to do pre-work. This is often called a ‘flipped classroom’.  This leverages the time when people are together. ‘Make’ includes the time together which provides opportunities of creating projects with feedback from an expert. ‘Share’ is about learners/employees going back and teaching others. This solidifies the knowledge they’ve gained. Other times they may be asked to do some sort of action project. Steelcase’s learning programs fit into one of these 4 buckets: Leadership Culture Innovation Functional Excellence Technology in education – learning systems push content to the organizations. There is a need to understand how people are using technology and then design from that perspective. Technology should enhance the learning. Role of culture in learning- Culture and learning go hand and hand. We like to develop curriculum that aligns with culture Role of physical space in learning – Providing opportunities for people to use space creatively. At Steelcase they consider the entire building a living laboratory.   What you will learn in this episode: What a Chief Learning Officer does How the world of learning has changed The role of technology in education Real life examples of what Steelcase is doing to promote learning and development How leaders and managers can role model the desired learning behavior in their organizations.
