Unfortunately they are not cancelling it but will amend it and try again. This discriminates against disabled drivers rather than helping them be more independent and live as active a life as possible. HMRC is appealing the tax tribunal that agreed it should be cut due to their own criterial making it clear it should not be charged at 20%. Whilst this sounds like it should help people, there are lots of evidence that shows those who need such help the most are disproportionately affected in times like these meaning they stop driving. For personal car usage this helps only the wealthy, however in the wider transportation ecosystem this will help to keep some costs down and not add to the impact the crisis is already having. The Canadian Grand Prix delivered absolute chaos, and this week I'm flying solo to break it all down. Mercedes had the fastest car all weekend, but somehow walked away with heartbreak after George Russell's race-leading car failed on lap 30, handing victory straight to teammate Kimi Antonelli. Four wins in a row, 43 points clear in the championship, and suddenly the 19-year-old looks unstoppable. I also dive into the growing tension inside Mercedes after a fiery Sprint battle between Russell and Antonelli, Toto Wolff's brutal radio message, and whether this rivalry is about to become a real problem for the team. Plus, Lewis Hamilton finally delivers Ferrari's best result of the season after an incredible move around the outside of Max Verstappen, McLaren completely imploded with strategy disasters and a Norris DNF, Oscar Piastri finishes outside the points, and the championship picture shifts in a massive way after Montreal. Five rounds in… and its getting exciting!!

Max Verstappen and team dominate 24h Nürburgring until final hours, as Red Bull Team ABT makes a spectacular comeback for 2nd place! Max Verstappen produced a standout debut performance at the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring, in command of the race for the majority of its 24 hours before Mercedes-AMG Team Verstappen Racing were forced out of the lead with just over three hours remaining following a driveshaft failure on the #3 Mercedes-AMG GT3. The four-time F1 world champion, sharing the car with Dani Juncadella, Lucas Auer and Jules Gounon, had delivered spells of excellent driving across both day and night in his first 24-hour race, a performance that further underlined his ability to adapt seamlessly across different disciplines of motorsport. With Mercedes-AMG Team Verstappen Racing forced to retire, the sister #80 Mercedes inherited the lead to take overall victory, with the #84 Red Bull Team ABT Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 classified second after a recovery drive from a lap-one puncture. A record 352,000 spectators attended the 24h Nürburgring weekend for Verstappen's debut appearance, a surge many are calling the "Verstappen effect". The charge began on the opening lap, when Juncadella moved up the order from P4 as the pole-sitting Red Bull Team ABT #84 suffered a puncture. Verstappen took over for his maiden Nordschleife race stint with the #3 in P3, and a brief early scare onto the grass did little to slow him. Settling into rhythm, he stormed through the order with a string of thrilling overtakes to take the lead inside his very first stint. From there the #3 settled into a sustained battle at the front, with the team's four-driver rotation slotting into the rhythm of the race. After Verstappen's opening double stint, Gounon took the car on for his run before Auer reclaimed the lead with a strong spell of his own. Juncadella then took the wheel into the small hours, going lap-for-lap with the chasing #80 as the two factory Mercedes cars opened up a commanding gap over the rest of the field, the two rarely separated by more than 20 seconds across the full race distance. Verstappen was at the centre of the action across the overnight hours. The Dutchman pulled nearly half a minute clear of the sister car on his way to a string of standout moments, including a 270 km/h side-by-side battle on the Döttinger Höhe that saw the #80 run onto the wet grass before recovering, and a patient overtake to put the #3 back into the lead after more than 20 minutes of pursuit. The 24h Nürburgring is widely regarded as one of the most punishing events in motorsport, and across the race weekend a sizeable share of the 161-strong field were caught out by some combination of mechanical issues, crashes and the Nordschleife's notoriously changeable conditions. By the time the chequered flag fell, only 18 of the 41 GT3 cars that had started the race were still running. Heading into the final four hours, Verstappen had stretched the lead back out to 33 seconds before handing over to Juncadella on his in-lap. The issue struck shortly after, just three laps into the Spaniard's stint. An initial ABS warning escalated into vibrations from the rear right corner, and the car limped back to the garage where mechanics diagnosed a broken driveshaft and significant rear axle damage. With repair time running to nearly an hour, victory was no longer possible, but the team committed to rebuilding the car so it could rejoin the race for the closing laps. "We spoke with Max and the other three drivers, and everybody is so disappointed," said Mercedes-AMG manager Stefan Wendl. "But we said let's send this beautiful car out again for the last two or three laps and present it to the fans who have cheered for 20 hours and tried to bring us to victory." Juncadella, who was behind the wheel when the issue struck, took the disappointment in his stride: "It's obviously very heartbreaking, but motorsport is like that sometimes. There are many things you cannot control. The mechanical aspect in motorsport can sometimes be very cruel, and it was with us this time. Unfortunately, the race was three hours too long for us, and we couldn't make it to the end. Nevertheless, we have to be proud of everything that has been done. The team was incredible with the calls they did in the race. Max had a lot of fun; we could all see that. Maybe now there's a reason to come back." Driving alongside Verstappen for the first time, Lucas Auer reflected on the team dynamic: "Last time we drove together was against each other, and it's definitely better to have him as a teammate because he is just a machine. He's a lot of fun, a hard worker and has amazing speed." The sister #80 Mercedes of Team RAVENOL (Maro Engel, Luca Stolz, Fabian Schiller and Maxime Martin) went on to take Mercedes-AMG's first 24h Nürburgring victory in a decade, having recovered from a Top Qualifying crash that had left them starting in 25th place. Red Bull Team ABT held on to second despite a late penalty for a Code 60 infringement, finishing 16 seconds clear of the third-placed Walkenhorst Aston Martin. Red Bull Team ABT's Luca Engstler, who shared driving duties in the #84 with Mirko Bortolotti and Patric Niederhauser, could scarcely believe the team had fought back to second after a puncture dropped them to 14th: "It was an incredible week. We had a very good qualifying, starting front row, and then we had a horrible start, got taken out, and we had the puncture, and we were two and a half minutes down. We dropped back to about nine minutes behind the leader. But I never gave up, and in the end, we're here, and that's just insane." Race engineer Leon Wippersteg, fresh from delivering Lamborghini's first Nürburgring front-row lockout in qualifying, credited the wider team effort that delivered second place: "It was one year of preparation to come here and to perform. All the drivers, engineers, mechanics, all the partners, everything has to fit together to be able to perform. We had the package, and I would say we're one of the quickest manufacturers out there. I think we managed well, and I'm very proud."

De betaalbare hot hatch is officieel dood. McLAREN DISQUALIFIED FROM LAS VEGAS GRAND PRIX! VERSTAPPEN NOW HAS A REAL SHOT AT THE CHAMPIONSHIP. DID LCH SIMPLY HAVE A SENIOR MOMENT? THE FIA DEFEND F1 MARSHALL INTERVENTION AND...FERNANDO DOES NOT LIKE THE VEGAS GRAND PRIX IN. NOVEMBER! THE NASIR HAMEED CORNER HAS MORE CLASSIC F1 HISTORY AND, OUR INTERVIEW...CARLOS BOBADA , ATLANTIC SERIES TEAM OWNER. MAX VERSTAPPEN: “Everything went really smooth today and we did well to keep the tyres alive. It was great to get the win here and we had a very good day. The last few laps were very strong, we made no mistakes and had good communication with the pit wall throughout. Our start was really good and Lando was a bit late on the brakes. It was important to get ahead as we were able to then do our own thing and stay really consistent. During the race, the Mediums felt better than expected and we did a decent stint first which made things easier when we got on to the Hard compound. It was a good race for us, we had good pace and everything worked really well. For the next few races we just need to do the best we can and keep trying to win as many races until the end of the year and maximise everything we can. I had fun out there today.” LAURENT MEKIES, CEO & Team Principal “Everyone in the Team and back in Milton Keynes can be proud. The car was fast at a track where we struggled a bit last year and this weekend no one had time to properly prepare because Thursday's practice was somewhat disturbed, as was FP3. The car was fast, our tyre management was up to the job and our execution was very strong. When Max needed to push, he did and was able to bring more to the table. This is a race like no other with the low temperatures and the track layout and tonight, Max and the Team mastered it. As for the start, Max is unbeatable when it comes to this sort of move, so we are no longer surprised! But there were a few critical moments in the race, when George pitted while we and Lando stayed out, but everyone managed it to perfection. As for Yuki, we paid the price for what happened yesterday. Today, we made it, a win is a win, so now we will reset and look ahead to Qatar with the same objective of extracting everything from our package.” George Kurtz becomes co-owner of Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team through minority acquisition in Toto Wolff ownership entity, appointed Technology Advisor. Business innovator and 24 Hours of Le Mans winner invests in the future of the Mercedes- Las Vegas, NV, and Brackley, UK – November 20, 2025 – The Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team and George Kurtz, CEO and Founder of CrowdStrike, today announced that Kurtz has become a co-owner of the team and been appointed Technology Advisor. Through his personal acquisition of a 15% minority interest in the ownership entity controlled by Toto Wolff, which holds one-third of the team in partnership with Mercedes-Benz and INEOS, Kurtz joins Mercedes-Benz, INEOS, and Toto Wolff in the team's long-term ownership group. Kurtz also joins the team's strategic steering committee alongside Chairman of the Board of Management of Mercedes-Benz Group AG Ola Källenius, INEOS Group Founder and Chairman Sir Jim Ratcliffe, and Toto Wolff. The governance of the team remains unchanged, and Wolff continues in all existing executive roles. Kurtz is an accomplished endurance racer and globally respected business leader who has built the most successful AI cybersecurity company of the modern era. As an entrepreneur, technologist, and S&P 500 CEO, he's established and scaled world-class innovation and teams. Kurtz's combination of experience uniquely spans cybersecurity, large-scale technology operations, and professional motorsport. In his advisory capacity, Kurtz will support the team's innovation and technology strategy, with a focus on the intersection of competitive motorsport, data analytics, and performance. He will also work to grow the team's ecosystem across the U.S. and global technology sectors, and to secure competitive advantage and investment from new tech partners. "Winning in racing and cybersecurity requires speed, precision, and innovation. Milliseconds matter. Execution counts. Data wins,” said George Kurtz, CrowdStrike Founder and CEO. “Technology is reshaping competitive advantage and human capability everywhere, including motorsport. I'm excited to help the team securely accelerate forward.” Kurtz's ownership builds on years of strategic partnership since CrowdStrike became a Global Partner with the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team in 2019. This strategic partnership continues, with CrowdStrike providing AI-powered cybersecurity solutions that protect the team's technology infrastructure. Welcoming George Kurtz to the team, Team Principal and CEO Toto Wolff commented: “George's background is unusual in its breadth: he's a racer, a loyal sporting ambassador for Mercedes-AMG, and an exceptional entrepreneur. He understands both the demands of racing and the realities of building and scaling technology businesses. That combination brings specific insight that is increasingly relevant to the future of Formula One.” ASTON MARTIN ARAMCO, ARTISTS EQUITY AND WHISPER TEAM UP WITH MARK STEWART PRODUCTIONS FOR ADRIAN NEWEY F1 DOCUMENTARY. Silverstone, UK, 20 November 2025: – Aston Martin Aramco, The Whisper Group and Mark Stewart Productions (MSP) today announced an exciting collaboration with Artists Equity to deliver Turbulence: The Greatest Mind in F1® (working title), a documentary telling the incredible story of Adrian Newey, the world's greatest ever race car designer, as he sets out on his ambitious journey of  advancing Aston Martin Aramco Formula One™ Team to the front of the grid. The documentary will be produced in collaboration with Aston Martin Aramco and F1®. With an extraordinary 12 World Constructors' Championships and 14 World Drivers' Championships to his credit, F1 fans revere Adrian as an era-defining genius. Turbulence follows Newey into the next chapter of his career after he surprised the motorsports world at the beginning of 2025 by leaving Red Bull to join Aston Martin Aramco. Given his unprecedented run of success over the last three decades, the expectations and pressure as he joins Aston Martin Aramco are sky-high. With exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the team's Silverstone campus, the film will follow Adrian as he attempts to design a World Championship challenging car for the relentlessly ambitious British brand, led by owner Lawrence Stroll. This contemporary narrative will be intercut with scenes exploring the triumphs and heartbreaking tragedies of Adrian's truly astonishing career. Turbulence will transcend motorsport and explore universal human themes of ambition, sacrifice, tragedy, and redemption. Adrian Newey, Managing Technical Partner, Aston Martin Aramco Formula One™ Team: “When Mark Stewart approached me about making a docu film, whilst flattered I was initially not sure whether to accept. However, one of the touching things about my 2017 autobiography is the number of letters I have received, relaying how much the book had sparked their interest in and appreciation of the design and engineering that goes into racing cars, how interactive the car design is with the drivers, and how much success is about mindset. “Hopefully this film can portray the passion, the working practice, the strength of mind that is involved in bringing an F1 car to the grid. The film charts the challenges I have faced in joining a new team in early March to prepare for what is arguably the biggest regulation change in F1 history. It also delves into the story behind my career up to this point and how it has helped to prepare me for this enormous challenge. “It's been a wild ride so far, but F1 never stands still. I hope that the film will capture some of that  restless energy, and our constant drive towards improved performance.”
