A three-decade surge in how much unhealthy food we eat. New research from Auckland University, published in the Globalisation and Health journal, shows New Zealand's imports of ultra-processed food increased from 16 kilograms in 1990, to 104 in 2023. Past studies show about 70% of packaged food in our supermarkets is ultra-processed. Nutritionist Nikki Hart told Ryan Bridge it's often disguised. She says it's canned food, crackers, and biscuits that are presented with a health claim. Kids are also feeding into unhealthy food branding, Hart saying products are designed to catch their attention. She says there's a lot of money and time going into it, as our rates of child obesity rise. LISTEN ABOVE See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Or what makes diseases disappear? As a logical thinking person I have learned before I can solve any problem I need to know: 1.) The “Why?” 2.) Or what has caused that problem?Makes sense?! For Western Medicine, this approach is not true!!!!Western Medicine is fighting the symptoms instead to find out the reason for those diseases. What you fight you will empower!Today we know that all the Cancer treatments are less successful than no treatment and not to say the patient that he has cancer. If you convince a healthy person that he is terminal ill, then the likelihood that this person will die soon is nearly 100%... That have tried out already the Greeks in ancient's time. The emperor said to the captured soldiers, within a half year we will give you poison so that you die… Within one week every soldier was dead even without providing any poison. The emperor has done this experiment 3 times, and it always worked to 100%. Fear is the best poison!!!! If you address the causes of the diseases, then you heal the diseases…If you find out for instance through shift work, you got ill…(Shift work is one of the worst that you can do to your body….)Change the work to regular work, and you get cured. The problem is to find the causes of diseases, and that is many times very difficult! And even it is mostly a combination for instance of an unhealthy Lifestyle and suppressed negative feelings.Chronicle diseases are caused by:1.) Suppression of feelings, traumas, fear, anger, 2.) Unhealthy Food,- Junk food, meat, industrially processed food, dairy products.3.) Too much Stress.4.) Too less Sleep, for instance not to sleep at night with shift work. 5.) A lack of Physical Activity6.) Gut Health. Leaky Gut will destroy your whole body!!!! The Gut needs probiotic every day and gets damaged through Gluten and acid food like meat… 7.) Infections.8.) Environmental Toxins.9.) Too less Sunlight.10.) Side-effects of Medicaments70% of the chronicle diseases are caused by the wrong food!Thomas Edison said:The doctor of the future will no longer treat the human frame with drugs, but rather will cure and prevent disease with nutrition.Even I got all of these correct, with Qigong and Acupressure I got my health. My Video: What causes chronicle diseases? https://youtu.be/R_w6mSxYLwYMy Audio: https://divinesuccess.net/wp-content/uploads/2021/Podcast.B/What-causes-chronicle-diseases.mp3
Send us a textHave you ever felt guilty after eating a food you enjoy? That familiar wave of shame that follows the last bite of pizza, ice cream, or chocolate? You're not alone. As a registered dietitian, I've seen this pattern play out with over 90% of my clients, and it's time we break this cycle.Food isn't meant to carry moral weight. When we categorize foods as "good" or "bad," we create an unhealthy relationship that leads to restriction, binging, and shame. This episode dives deep into why these labels develop—from diet culture influence to childhood food rules—and the harmful impacts they have on our mental and physical wellbeing. We explore how seemingly innocent comments about "cleaning your plate" or avoiding "junk food" can create lasting food trauma that affects eating behaviors well into adulthood. The path to food freedom starts with neutrality. Rather than judging our choices, we can approach eating with curiosity and mindfulness. Why do we want certain foods? How do they make us feel? Are we truly listening to our hunger and satiety cues? By reframing our language around food, focusing on what we can add to meals rather than restrict, and treating ourselves with the same compassion we offer others, we can heal our relationship with eating. For parents, this shift becomes even more crucial as children absorb our attitudes about food and our bodies like little sponges. Let's build a healthier foundation for ourselves and the next generation by breaking free from harmful food labels once and for all.Ready to transform your relationship with food? Listen to discover practical strategies for embracing food neutrality and creating a peaceful approach to eating that supports your wellbeing without unnecessary guilt or shame. Thursday, April 3 - Dr. Jack Stockwell (www.forbiddendoctor.com & www.jackstockwell.com | Phone: 866-867-5070), a GAPS Practitioner and NUCCA Chiropractor, discussed information centering around health foods that are not healthy.Read that one again . . . Health foods that are not healthy. Just because it's sold in a natural food store, sold in a health food store, doesn't mean it's actually food that is good for you, but marketing has us believing it. Industrial food processing can destroy the nutritional value of any food, even organically grown. Here are Dr. Jack's Top Ten List of unhealthy “health” foods, in no specific order: 1) salad dressing . . . 2) sweetened yogurts . . . 3) pasteurized fruit juices . . . 4) soy milk . . . 5) whole grain breakfast cereals . . . 6) low fat milk . . . 7) agave . . . 8) organic frozen dinners . . . 9) butter-like spreads . . . 10) energy bars. Then, Doug joins Dr. Jack for a conversation on a Stanford and Harvard study showing 40% of American teenagers are now struggling with anxiety and depression, and the link to consuming ultra-processed foods, the American epidemic of obesity, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.'s fight against ingredients permitted in American food that's been banned in other countries (and for good reason), and what RFK Jr. is doing to clean up the food we eat in our country. Do you come to end of your day completely unaware of all that you have eaten that day? Do you mindlessly graze all day and find yourself grabbing whatever is close to help you fill your hunger? In today's episode, I am going to give you 3 tips on how to recognize some of the unhealthy food behaviors that are a part of your life! Step one is becoming aware - so let's do this!
Overtrained. Under fed. Burnt out. Tired. Disconnected. Confused. Overwhelmed. Those are just a few words to describe what we feel when we get caught up in training too hard, training too often, not eating enough, weighing and measuring every single meal and counting every single calorie trying to chase the perfect body (which doesn't exist). It's just one huge mind f*@k. These obsessions has us looking for physical and aesthetic flaws that may or may not exist. These obsessions disconnect us from ourselves and our loved ones. Over time, we may end up with body dysmorphia (obsessively focusing on a flaw in appearance) which can create unhealthy relationships with food and people. Let's just be mindful with who or what is influencing us to chase something that doesn't exist. And let us not deprive ourselves of the foods and things we enjoy. Consume responsibly. Train smart. Eat smart. Train the Body. Train the Mind. Peace. Do you have body dysmorphia? Take the test. lets talk about food and debunk them for being healthy or unhealthy!
Seeing the adult obesity rate in America is a whopping 42% and over 70% of adults are considered overweight, we obviously are facing an obesity crisis. With CDC Covid guidelines telling us to stay indoors, many people are overeating due to boredom or depression. As a result, we are seeing harmful health hazards regarding our weight. Certified health coach, author, and mom of four, Amber Lia helps us find and defeat our food triggers and cherish the body God gave us. It’s not that we are powerless, we just don’t realize that cortisol and dopamine constantly cycle in our bodies causing a chemical response making us crave the wrong foods. Therefore, establishing small specific healthy habits and detoxing can make a huge radical difference in our health and lifestyle. As adults, we know how eating unhealthy makes us feel compared to healthier options. Sugar crashes, impacted sleep patterns, decreased focus at work are feelings many of us can relate to.
On today's episode, we dissect this concept of food labeling Although we've learned to drop magical thinking when it comes to weather, crops or other natural phenomena, we still think of food as magical. We label food in hopes that doing so will bring us closer to our desires and goals. The concept is that if we consume the “good” food will control our health and body unfortunately what comes along is shame & guilt when we do eat the “bad” food. In today's society not being able to control our food choices makes us weak people. That's what we think as a result of being told so by diet culture and also according to all the health experts who want us to finally “release the unhealthy weight”. But it's true that there is such a thing as good food or bad food? If so, what are the healthy foods? Here's a sample of the myths we will cover: What are the good and bad foods Why are we so obsessed with food labeling What motivates our need for food labeling The side effect of food labeling If there is an option to food labeling, what is it and how can we implement it in our life Mentioned on the show: Get Started with our FREE Intuitive Eating Introduction Course Intuitive Eating Project
