That's the sum total of much of today's show. In all seriousness, the GOP social media scene (which is not reality) was on fire all weekend long on stories of infidelity, inappropriate public behavior, and interview answers from Trump on gender and abortion that Stigall tries to handle in a nuanced way. Of course, in 2023 - political nuance is mostly dead. But he soldiers on nevertheless. Plus, a vicious and cold blooded killing in Vegas, John Fetterman further erodes any shred of dignity left in Congress, and Russell Brand is accused of rape all of the sudden. - For more info visit the official website: https://chrisstigall.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/chrisstigallshow/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/ChrisStigall Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/chris.stigall/ Listen on Spotify: https://tinyurl.com/StigallPod Listen on Apple Podcasts: https://bit.ly/StigallShowSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Are politicians really trying to push their agendas using the military as a bargaining chip? It seems that way! Remembering your content, people's names, complex information to name but a few… BUT besides these valuable advantages that improving your memory brings, there are other positives that make it a compelling goal. That's why I am so pleased to have Dr. Anthony Metivier as a guest on this two-part show. Anthony is an experienced memory expert, author, professor and memory improvement teacher, and is known as a bit of a rebel in the world of mnemonics, because of the different approach he advocates. Since confronting his own negative beliefs about his memory, and seeing the amazing results he achieved, he has taught thousands of students in three different countries to achieve incredible results too. What you'll discover: The difference between encoding and decoding in relation to memory, and why you should try and exercise all your different types of memory. What aphantasia is and why Anthony thinks it's a myth that causes a lot of unnecessary suffering. Why you shouldn't be afraid to share your opinions, and the benefits of being polarizing to grow your audience. Why it's important to know a bit of the science behind how memory methods work. Memory Palaces and how you can use them to improve your long term memory for learning languages and many other things. Anthony's three tips for helping you remember your talk. How Anthony used his memory methods to remember his TEDx. How speaking fits into Anthony's business model. Why changing the way he prepared for his talks helped Anthony's reach and impact. Show Notes Anthony's Story... Anthony was deployed to Iraq in 2009 and 2010 When he came home he was expecting to be excited, free and have a new life, but he suffered badly from PTSD. He found he was having nightmares and claustrophobia and was often frightened when he was driving. He eventually when I had to get his bachelors and Masters degree in health and started working at A health center While he was working at the health center he did a workshop for men on men’s health that was received very well. He also noticed a lack of opportunities for men to talk about their own health issues and out of the workshop his his coaching business and other workshops began. Why Men's Health? Anthony finds that men need to talk about their struggles. He finds that men have a lack of purpose and that they are distracted and that this takes a toll on their well-being. What is your wealth without your health? What is wealth when you can’t enjoy it. We have to take a step back and ask what’s most important? Everything that is in your life right now is a result of the decisions that you made. When men feel fulfilled they are in a better position to engage in their relationships and give more. Anthony does what he does because he’s been through so many things and he’s come to accept the things that have happened to him and he’s become a much better person because of those things. Anthony says anxiety is a symptom of other things that are going on such as a lack of sleep. My whole goal for men is self-determination and self-efficacy where they can have the motivation and the skills to achieve the desires that they want. Anthony's WiFi Business Lifestyle At one point Anthony realized that his life is more important than sitting in traffic three hours a day. That led him to move where it takes five minutes to get somewhere. His point is you choose your life. Anthony wanted the Wi-Fi life. He designed his business so that he could run it from anywhere in the world. Anthony is about to travel the world. He made a plan and made some choices to make it happen. Anthony hopes to inspire other men to live more adventurously. Anthony believes that the Wi-Fi lifestyle is all about the adventure. For Anthony, it’s about getting out there and experiencing life. He thinks because this hasn’t really been promoted for men that it’s been lost and suppressed. We get so wrapped up in work and so many other things that we lose our sense and desire for adventure. He hopes to reignite the adventurous side of men while improving their well-being. Leverage: One way that Anthony is leveraging his time is by working with clients in a group setting. What has recently inspired Anthony? Anthony’s source of inspiration is his adventure he’s going on and a documentary called 180° South. This documentary set the tone for Anthony to do what he’s about to do right now and that’s travel the world. Anthony's WiFi Business Tools: Zoom and his Surface Pro tablet. He uses Calend.ly to book appointments. Anthony's Cause: Burpees for Vets Contact Anthony on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/anthonytreas/
